Lovely hidden gem that has a full Korean and English menu! I had a Beef Bibimbap a beautifully made traditional Korean dish that was a delight to experience and eat. Lovely scenery as they are situated in a park and friendly staff who are happy to help and answer any questions.

Where doesn’t take card in this day and age? Told that they are not willing to pay the 6% card processing fee. I’m no mathematician but I’m pretty sure taking £10 and paying 6% is better than taking no money at all. Note that the visitor centre behind DO take card, are friendly and have tubs of Rossi’s. Rude staff with outdated views at the cafe.

We decided to try the Korean menu on offer here after seeing another tables food previously. It was served quickly despite it being cooked from ‘scratch’. Im we had a chicken noodle dish which arrived cold. The bean sprouts were raw and bitter, the chicken dry and the whole dish was bland.

Authentic Korean food, portions are massive. Gives you really good taste about Korea, the staff are amazing too. My boyfriend and I have been visiting this place regularly, can’t believe it’s always quiet should be really more popular.

When you walk into the cafe it feels uncared for and dingy. The ‘cash only’ policy is outdated. The lady who served me on the till had attitude although I was trying to be really friendly. My daughter and I were really hungry otherwise I would of not bothered. I sat down with my warm baguette which I was expecting cold as I’d ordered egg mayonnaise in it 🤷🏼♀️ and low and beyond it was COMPLETELY STALE, totally inedible!!!! I took it back and as soon as the Korean lady from the kitchen saw me she knew. She asked me if it was too hard? 🤦🏼♀️ I mean, come on! I felt really upset because she just handed me my money back and made an excuse about the heat and went back into the kitchen! Don’t try to fob your customers off with 3 day old bread!! I’m really disgusted and won’t ever be eating there again. It’s in a lovely spot and I wish it had other owners. Much prefer the cafe at Southchurch Park. Delicious food. Go there!!

It the space of two days I had two very different experiences from two local park cafes. This one was the worst of the two and I and my partner will never go again. The coffee here is dreadful and the service was so rude. On the more sunnier of days I can see why a queue had not formed outside of this particular cafe, where as the previous day the South church park cafe had major queues all day. That should have told me enough. But I paid the price and took the hit of horrendous coffee, over priced tin of drink and a cake that was inedible. So I now know which place to take my walks in. I also have to agree with a few of the other reviews that it does look run down and needs a bit of attention.

One thing I missed from London is Korean chicken until discovering Priory Park Cafe which does the most amazing Korean chicken and I will definitely be going back again. Well worth a try if you haven’t sampled Korean food before.

Quite literally the worst coffee I have ever tasted in my life! A group of us were in the park on an outing. We had cappuccinos and lattes and they tasted like warmed up evaporated milk with salt, three sips and straight to the bin.

We visited the Priory park cafe with some friends, on the 23rd December, for the Carols in the Park Christmas event. The park was busy and the cafe coped well with the amount of people it had to serve. Having being recently refurbished, it felt modern, airy, light and very comfortable with a cosy and pleasant atmosphere with many families getting their teas, coffees and food.We had prime seats at the counter, by the window, where you could see and hear the Christmas Carols. To start off, we had some sweet Korean tea which was deliciously fragrant and then ordered a variety of Korean food, having being told they excelled in this speciality. The spicy chicken was divine (probably my favourite), crisp and very tasty. The dumplings were delicious and the beef Bibimbap, (a Korean dish of rice, beef strips, vegetables, a fried egg, kimchi and some chilli sauce), was fabulous! To finish, we had the Korean pancake, served with honey and whipped cream (for those with a very sweet tooth). All in all, a very positive and pleasant surprise. This affordable wonderful family run cafe has got, apart from the cafe/snack bar everyday menu, the best Korean food in Southend!! We will be back sometime soon for some more Korean culinary delights. Highly recommended!

This place is fairly small, about 20 seats, hot food available, basic sausage and chips sort of menu, ice creams too. Pricing is a bit high as I suppose the owners know that people have to either like or lump it!

I have been to the Priory Park cafe on many occasions because of the lovely food but found the building a bit dated, however it has been completely renovated into a simple Scandi style Korean cafe that is now a pleasant place to while away some time whatever the weather. Well worth a visit.

If your in priory park then the cafe is a must for a cuppa/ coffee and cake . They have a good selection of cakes biscuits , sandwiches and lots of ice creams for the children . You can sit inside or outside in the table / chairs throughout the summer months there is a bandstand right outside the cafe where you can listen to live music and there’s no charge for this so an added bonus with your cake

I experienced an incredibly rude staff member, to the point of being abusive. Also the facilities were very poor and when I asked the staff member if she could fill up the dogs water bowl I was told “im too busy”, even though there was only one other customer present who had already been served.

Opposite the bandstand this place looks very average indeed. Besieged by kids in the hols, the tables and chairs are a bit on the Spartan side and well battered by use. No toilets. Just a park cafe or is it? It holds a secret which it would pay you well to check out.

I went to retry the house burger and it did not disappoint - rates in my top 5. Only draw back is you cannot have a medium rare patty however still an outstanding burger. Service is very good. Will go back!

We were absolutely amaZed by these chips - and they were defo worth the short wait! They’re double fried, so expect to pause a little longer than your usual chippy - but wow, these are delicious.

A second visit and again very happy. Yes it is traditional but what wrong with that. We don't all want expensive boutique alacarte eating. The steak and Guinness pie was amazing my wife gad grilled salmon and was very happy. We will go again.

Disappointing and to be honest this is a generous 2 based on decent staff keeping us informed. On food alone it would get a 0.5 to 1 Hotdog sausage was nice but the bun was so stale I was checking it for mould blooms! The burger was similar to that served in schools, cheap discount meat, no sauce a bare sprinkle of lettuce and onion. No pickle, No tomato (in their defence that's all as described in menu though) The chicken goujons were nice. Good potion size and crispy. The doh balls went down well with the kids. Queued 20 minutes to order and then advised another 30 mins wait for food, it arrived after 25 minutes, but still two teenagers were practically bouncing off the walls after 45 minutes wait for lunch lol. The bill for 4 drinks and 4 meals (chicken, 2 X hot dogs and burger all with chips and a portion of Doh balls) was very nearly £70 which is lot given the barely acceptable quality but then again you're paying for location and on the positive side, the staff that do give a damn, they kept everybody informed, were always busy and they were smiling! Something of a novelty these days.
