Always a fantastic experience at the Bonaparte! The food is fantastic, their Sunday roast is one of my favourites in London and the staff are amazing and take the time to give you a great experience. A place I recommend to all my friends!

Jack and Marcio make every visit to the Bonaparte a truly special experience. The food and vibes are always 10/10 and we love this place more than anywhere else in London. Beautiful venue, dog friendly too!

I recently visited The Prince Bonaparte in Notting Hill, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish prepared to perfection. From the seasonal and sustainable produce to the expertly cooked meals, everything was simply outstanding. I tried a scotch egg for the first time, and it was unbelievable! A special shoutout to the amazing manager, Jack, who made our visit truly memorable. His warm hospitality and attentiveness added a personal touch that made our time there even more enjoyable. Jack also poured the perfect pint of Guinness, which was the cherry on top of an already fantastic experience. The vibes inside were perfect, extremely clean and well designed. It has been recently renovated, but still holds true to the charm of an upscale London pub. If you’re in London, The Prince Bonaparte is a must-visit for its delicious food and top-notch service. Highly recommended!

The Best Sunday Roast in London!!!! Have a miss menus to with huge portions. Thanks to chef Santos and the Manager Marco for amazing food and service. Even got my 12 year old into eating Kale. Also have fantastic deserts! Can’t stop coming back! 🍗🥬🥩🥕🥓😊❤️😎🙏🏾

Music was too loud but staff were very nice and turned it down. Food was just OK. Fish wasn't crunchy. The potatoes from the Seabass hadn't been cooked enough and the burger or the chicken were quite standard. The place is very nice and for those prices I would have expected better food.

I recently celebrated my birthday at this restaurant, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. The booking process was smooth, and the service was outstanding. The food exceeded all expectations – my friends were pleasantly surprised by the delicious mushroom crumpet and perfectly prepared salmon. This celebration was perfect, and I'm already looking forward to returning soon. Five stars across the board!

Spain won and I didn't feel supported. I was surrounded by Anglo-Saxons...but I was sad for the disappointment of suspending the winery setenil trail...at least Spain won and we got revenge on the Anglo-Saxons...They would have suspended us for just four drops...long live Spain! !

Super local pub with very friendly staff! Although it is a little bit crowded sometimes, it is fine as it has a cool atmosphere. I feel very relaxed and energetic at the same time when I am in this pub with my various drinks.

Super local pub with plenty of drink choices. Wide selection of beers and spirits. Very friendly staff, easy to chat to and welcoming. I’ve not tried the food but will do so. Can get crowded especially when the football is on ! But that’s a good thing, just adds to the atmosphere.

What a fantastic pub! Recently went for a lovely meal and drinks. Food was superb and the service matched! What a great find. Loved the decor will be back soon.

Awesome pub with a great dining room. Food was delicious and beer and wine selection first rate. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Multiple tables had dogs on the booths and reaching to the tables [none said anything to the dogs owners]. No cleaning of tables and booths/chairs in between customers, so you will sit and eat where a dog has previously stayed. Pub manager also pet dogs and then served the food with no hand washing. Appalling

The service was poor! I had to chase up the waiter twice to ask where my food was, despite my friend’s order having arrived 45 mins earlier. In the end, I had to leave as it was pointless waiting any longer!

Big shout out to Daniel for making our visit memorable! His attentiveness behind the bar ensured that every drink was served with precision, while his friendly manner created a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Highly recommended - we surely came back again :)

Poor guys! We arrived to a packed house and looking forward to a great brunch, only to be told by a slightly frazzled waiter that the chef had burnt himself, badly enough to be taken to hospital and that they were waiting for a replacement chef. This meant only a very limited menu. There was no way that we, on a Sunday, would find somewhere similar to eat, so we stayed. The food was very tasty and the long wait understandable, so no reason to complain. More reason to sample excellent beer and cider!

Unfortunately the burger wasn’t great. Well overdone. I told the staff and they were pleasant about it. 20 pounds for a sub par burger is a little annoying, I should have held back the service charge.

I'm really fussy about a Sunday roast at a pub. But the Bonaparte is one or my all time favourite Sundays! SO GOOD 😊 I think it must be all cooked from fresh. The Prince Bonaparte, a super pub sitting on the corner of Talbot and Chepstow roads in north Notting Hill. Lovely people, great service and a strident atmosphere. A good selection of keg beers and ciders along with a special cask ale for Le Petit General. Unfortunately, lost a star as although 4 pumps on the bar only one active and Timmy Taylor's had run out before a 6N rugby weekend, most unfortunate. Still, a great place to visit and enjoy. Also a good looking place to eat. No mention here as I did not participate. All good.

A really uncomfortable and disappointing experience considering how many positive reviews this place has. They sat our party of 3 at a table that was essentially blocking the disabled toilet that's also used as a baby changing facility. The table was also extremely close to the table behind it which was for a large group. When I explained the issue and asked for a different table they said they had nothing available but would move us as soon as they could which turned out to be as soon as our food came out. We ended up choosing to stay put because we didn't want our food to get cold as we would have ended up needing to move to the other side of the pub. We were disturbed multiple times by people needing to change their babies meaning we needed to get up and move the chair so they could get in and out. Putting a table blocking a facility for families when you're advertising as a family friendly place is just ridiculous, blocking a disabled access toilet is discriminatory and just plain greedy. The roast beef came out pink-grey and had a lot of sinew so we ended up exchanging it for the roast pork which was more fat than meat. The burger was also underwhelming for the money. Ultimately, they took our main meals off the bill but frankly, I have no intention of going back - the attitude and atmosphere of the business needs to change.

The food is really good as good as if you go to a fancy restaurant and the service is impeccable But the atmosphere wasn’t really connected to the pubs name there is nothing connected to a prince or a Bonaparte.

Every time I come to London to visit my daughter, it’s a pleasure every time to go for lunch or dinner in this pub that I particularly like. The food is excellent and the service is wonderful. A little extra for Marcio whose smile and hospitality are always in order. We will come back with pleasure!

I came to the Prince Bonaparte for their Greek night and it was amazing!!! The food was authentic and well prepared, fast service, really nice vibes with good music and friendly staff. Can’t wait to come back soon! They have a special night every month, well worth a visit!

Fantastic place, lovely team, great food

We shared a family Serbian Xmas day there - 14 of us - and it was great. The only small niggle was that the bill needed recalculating. The pub was full to the rafters, which created a fab environment and we will return with friends and family again as they do well with larger parties ie food arrives in timely fashion and is hot and beautifully cooked. They are also dog-friendly, although we didn't bring our four-legged friends on this occasion.

Nice, comfortable pub. I've never eaten here but the food looks good. Only one real ale on sale, which had run out, otherwise a reasonable selection of beer and wine. It comes at a price, but then so do all the pubs in this neighbourhood! Very friendly and courteous staff.

After a long time I finally found a place in London where I can enjoy good food and a very pleasant atmosphere!

A pleasant pub in the heart of Notting Hill which I very much enjoyed. The service is of a high standard and It is frequented by good folk. I am tempted to go there again as I have heard the food is excellent and lots of my friends live in the area.

Entièrement déçu. Notre fille nous y a emmené car elle avait eu de bons échos de son responsable au travail. Arrivés sur les lieux à l'heure pile, nous avions réservés mais la table n'était pas dispo. Le serveur, avait des chaussures de type baskets blanches déchirées. Nous avons demandés au serveur s'il était possible de prendre un apéritif, mais ce dernier a fait mine de ne pas comprendre et nous a proposé des alcools et bières en les énonçant de façon non distinctives et cela rapidement. On voyait bien que ca l'ennuyait de travailler ce soir là. Nous avons donc annulé notre demande d'apéritif. Nous avons pris un pinot noir pour manger, très bon, ca compense la suite. Le plat : arrivée des assiettes avec une sauce à raz bord. Gare au débordement. Un grosse pate a choux non salée. Une viande type bœuf Sémélé pourtant rosée, des légumes croquants, vraiment croquants et 3 petites carottes rôties. Les patates rôties également sont réchauffées (la patate réchauffée n'est pas bonne gustativement). La note de 140 livres et nous devions dégager le terrain car cela ferme à 22h00. Bonjour le réveillon !!! Déçu, je ne recommande pas et croyez moi, ne ferais pas de pub !

Totalement insatisfait, Notre fille nous y a emmenée pour le réveillon 2023. Le serveur, se présente, dans une tenue plus que négligée. Chaussures déchirées, ca commence mal. On souhaitait un apéritif. Il a fait mine de ne pas comprendre notre accent et nous a énoncé très vite tout le panel de bières et alcools. Déçus, nous avons renoncés à l'apéro. Le repas : patates réchauffées, grosse pate a choux, choux et brocolis non cuits, viande de bœuf type savate le tout dans une sauce qui déborde presque l'assiette. Bilan à 4 : pas bon du tout. Par contre la note 140 livres et il fallait partir vite car il était 22h00 et il fallait fermer pour le réveillon. Je ne conseille pas.

Christmas dinner at the Prince Bonaparte was excellent. From the moment we arrived staff were friendly and attentive. The food was very good. Definitely intend to return. Having previously had bad experiences eating out on Christmas day this has definitely changed my mind. Hope the staff got to enjoy a well deserved evening off.

1st time here , nice vibe , really excellent service , I have never seen 2 people work a bar/restaurant so efficiently and with such panache, well done and thank you We will return

Simply the best pub experience in London. Came here twice this week and was astonished both times. Trully attentive customer service, incredible food! Wow wow yum yum.

Loved the Prince Boneparte in every way. Food was extraordinary, service attentive and fellow patrons friendly. Very impressed by the staff who welcomed us and looked after us. Made our travels to Notting Hill all that more wonderful. Xx from two Australian travelers who left as friends.

We came for lunch a sunday with my wifi and son: although we had no reservation we were immediately offered a table and had a great lunch in a peaceful atmosphere

Friendly staff, very comfortable. I met a lovely local there called Richard. I think he's from NZ. Funny accent but funny guy.

The service is very good. Also the lightning and atmosphere was superb. Very calm and relaxed.

I didn't spend much time in as I only stopped for a glass of prosecco while was raining outside. Can't give a full feedback but it looks really nice!

Firstly, from the moment we walked into this gorgeous establishment we were greeted with good times and welcoming smiles. We were here for a staff meeting which was personified by the impeccable service of Marcio. He was kind. He was friendly. He was unbelievably hospitable, and (in fact) made our hideous day suddenly a radiant light. We will be back! Can beyond recommend!

Atmosphere is bland..... seating by the bar only... no walk ins.. reservations only... drinks were over priced..

Last minute Sunday booking. Arrived at a very busy and full pub, nice large bar area and small separate dining room. Waited 15 mins for a table in the bar to be vacated and cleaned. Ordered the 3 meats Sunday roast and it was well worth the wait. The food was absolutely fabulous and the service from Jack first class even though he was run ragged; apparently 2 staff down! Definitely will return again when in the area.

How's the food? Who knows! We arrived on time for our reservation and waited over thirty minutes to be seated. We gave up after 35 minutes and ended up having brunch at a place up the street. Wouldn't recommend.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Everything about this place oozes sex appeal. The photos of Frenchmen on the wall, the buff men behind the bar. Absolutely titillating experience here. If you want fish and chips, they have the best. If you want a burger, they have that too. Get the fries, or the seasonal grilled vegetables. Their ice cream is homemade and locally sourced. Get some assorted scoops with your pint or cocktail. This place has it all. It even has a bell for last call. So you know when you need to leave. Go for Thursday steak night, the rump will make you jump, from the amazing flavor. I love you Bonaparte. Forever, XOXO

Good place to get a drink at Notting Hill Carnival Rum punch was lovely!!! Staff hard working doing their best under pressure.

I was looking for a reliable pub in the area for my birthday lunch and having read some bleak reviews of places near-by I settled on The Prince Bonaparte because the menu looked good. I'm so very glad I came here - the space is airy, our waiter couldn't have been more professional and considerate, and the food was great. I will definitely come back. The age range of our group was 4-84 and we all had a wonderful experience.

My three daughters and I dined there twice during our visit to London. The food is excellent and our waiter was the best! I am returning to London in October and will definitely return to Prince Bonaparte Restaurant! M. Coker

🚇Westbourne Park 🍺 £5.85 Amstel ❤️ A stylish and convivial Notting Hill Gastro. . The Prince Bonaparte sits proudly on the corner of Chepstow and Talbot Road on the edge of Notting Hill. The nearest Tube is Westbourne Park which is an eight minute walk away. . This pub was built 1850 and was originally called The Artesian. The name stems from “Artesian Place” which was renamed to Chepstow Road, date not known. . This is a good size bright and airy pub with an Art Deco feel. At the core of this elegant boozer is a horseshoe shaped servery which has an open kitchen on the right hand side. The bar area is laid out in a “J” shape. At the front are some poser tables, a sprawling banquette sofa and a ledge looking out through huge picture windows to the coming and going’s outside. On the right hand side are some comfy booths with pictures above of Prince Napoleon Bonaparte. At the rear is a dining area which has a chic and formal feel to it. . The beer line up was good and was craft centric, there was one cask ale on for the cultured drinker. I decided on a pint of Amstel, my pint was great and pleasingly under six quid. There is a modern seasonal food menu available here. The two Chefs in the kitchen were grafting away turning out plate after plate to the delight of the dining clientele, the food here did smell amazing. There are traditional pub grub options to choose from, Fish & Chips costs £17.50 and on a Sunday you can get a Chicken Roast for £19. . I arrived mid afternoon and the atmosphere was upbeat with a lively Jazz soundtrack in the background. The crowd was a mix of local well to-do’s plus tourists visiting the area. I was served by a very welcoming member of staff who was friendly and courteous. . The @bonapartew2 is a stylish pub which is far enough away from Portobello Road to enjoy a tranquil pint or bite to eat. This is an upmarket boozer which doesn't charge upmarket prices, for me this made the pub even more attractive. Had lunch here on Monday after passing by and really glad we did. The lady on front of house was so lovely and very thoughtful, down to tiny details. The food was really lovely and fresh with great flavours and ended up having three courses as was so delicious. Would definitely come back knowing we will be well looked after. We went with our baby and they had high chairs, great kids menu as well.

Fabulous place, great atmosphere, absolutely top class food and service, but the ladies' bathroom needed attention both times I visited. Otherwise, definitely worth a visit.

I have been there only a few times and it seems ro be a quite but busy enviroment ....where locals love to chill in and enjoy their time in there ...friendly stuff and cheap beers as far as am concerned about ....

Sunday Roast with banana sticky toffee pudding is a must! Corn fritters were a disappointment but the rest of the experience was well worth it.

Manager (man in thirties) is racist, rude to Black customers and doesn’t hire Black front of house staff

Excellent meal - we had the Picanha with squash and fries. The beef came out a bit on the rarer side of medium rare but post a quick revisit to the kitchen, all was good. Wine on choice was good too. Post refurbishment, this Notting Hill stalwart pub now has an elegant brasserie feel. The pub quiz was a bit loud and a passing bother.

Food is just not good enough! Have been twice and twice was disappointed. Overpriced starters, the cured salmon was incredibly salty.

Starting to become our favourite place to go for a sunday roast. Busy time needs a bit of waiting to be seated/to be served, but that’s very understandable. Great food great drinks.

Visited at a recommendation of a friend, visited with 4 generations, Zimmer frame to new born baby buggy. We had a mixture of starters, home smoked beetroot Salmon, octopus with Black Garlic, the port belly. All delicious. For mains we all went for the roasts, I had the trio, rib of beef served pink, 1/4 succulent Chicken breast with melt in the mouth slow cooked pork Belly. Due to dairy intolerances my son wasn’t allowed any of the deserts on the menu, no problem, the chef came out and asked what he likes, 15 mins later a plate of caramelised pineapple with vegan chocolate ice cream appeared. Along with all our deserts. All the staff where really friendly and attentive. 100% we will be back.

Amazing food, great service. Went with family of 8, from 6 weeks to 75 years old, everyone loved the food and atmosphere.
