For our fasting and breakfast, they had an excellent and dangerous restaurant. The food was good and delicious, and the service was excellent. They offered us dates, soup, and yoghurt. Everything was delicious except half the mezze.

The chicken in my wrap tasted days old and was a strange colour. I felt nauseous and was sick after eating it. Service charge was on the bill but the waitress still asked me if I wanted to leave a tip on the chip and pin machine which I did having not noticed it was already on my bill. I asked for my second 10% service charge back!! Won’t be going back. Don’t recommend ! 2stars was just for the actual wrap and chips!

Hands down the best Turkish restaurant I have ever been to. Staff were amazing and the food was even better. All 6 of us cleaned our plates. Food was fresh, tasty and melted in your mouth. The drinks at the end were a very much appreciated surprise. Thank you Birol for being so lovely and accommodating to us. We will be back for sure! 🥰

I was so pleased with the service I received from the staff especially Emine.All of the staff were lovely and friendly. They went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. The food was authentic Turkish food and kunafa tasted exceptional. Definitely would recommend this place.

We tried the restaurant twice and it was delicious, the service was excellent, and the staff was friendly. Kunafa and Turkish tea are also available I recommend trying the restaurant, despite its slightly higher prices, but that does not prevent you from trying it.

On a buzzing side street of delicious eats, Grand Bazaar rises to the occasion with wonderfully satisfying (and FILLING) Turkish cuisine. El Gran Bazar es un gran lugar lleno de todo tipo de productos, especialmente joyas de oro y diamantes, especias y dulces. Estábamos buscando ropa barata pero no pudimos encontrar ninguna! A diferencia de lo que piensas de tiendas como esta, nada era barato, pero para nuestra comparación las cosas eran bastante caras, como las especias. ¡Si no puedes negociar entonces serás un perdedor! Prefiero comprar en tiendas semanales en Estambul como el bazar del domingo en el bulevar Talarbasi cerca de Taksim.

I found it as per expectation . Large big market offering everything. We had luckily done few other bazaars and focus here was to just buy turkish lamp. So there is huge variety but you need to bargain hard.You will find everything here but start price quoted are unfortunately higher then real price which really puts me off . We got to purchase lamps at 30 percent lower price then was quoted. I am sure if we were trained guys we could have got better deal but we were happy with product so went with it.Recommend a trip but before coming get an idea outside on costs .

I came for the two-course lunch special, for £10.95. I asked for hummus for my first course. The waiter asked if I would like bread with it. I said of course -- how can you eat hummus without bread? The bill came: £2.95 for the bread. I wonder how many readers have been charged separately for bread when they order hummus.The food was mediocre, but I can live with that. Much less so can I live with charges that are not above board.

De compras en Oxford Street que necesitábamos un descanso para descansar los pies y recargar las pilas. Caminamos por una calle lateral y aunque muchas opciones estaban disponibles este restaurante era una oportunidad encontrar y parecía realmente atractivo. Inicialmente nos preguntó si nos podía venir para una bebida, pero nos vimos tentados por un bocadillo y terminó con 2 rondas de bebidas, pan del globo y salsas que eran realmente buenos. Otras personas estaban comiendo comidas completas y lo que vi parecía muy bueno. Ambiente encantador, encontrar incluso si sólo para un aperitivo y un fantástico servicio amable que nos hizo sentir muy contentos de que nos acercamos.

Fui a cenar para celebrar mi cumpleaños con algunos amigos en la noche del lunes y tuvimos una gran cena! La comida era deliciosa, pedimos el cordero y el pollo y algunos entrantes fríos, el personal es muy amable, muy atento :) y el ambiente es muy agradable con todas las lámparas de preciosa! Nos dieron dulces gratis turco como un regalo para mi cumpleaños, estos postres son los mejores! Recomiendo encarecidamente este hotel y sin duda volveremos! !

I had dinner at Grand Bazaar with some friends last Wednesday. The place is nicely decorated and looks really original but space is reduced, tables are extremely close to each others and when you walk between them you need to be careful to not touch or move other peoples chairs. Service was too quick, I have to say. We had time barely to seat and receive our menus when one of the waitress came asking "are you ready to order?" ,we were a bit surprised as we almost didn't have time to open the menus, we said "sorry, no, we will need couple of more minutes". Waitress didn't like our answer and you could see it on her face, she turned back not saying even a "ok, no problem I'll come later". We decided to look the menus fast and have our orders ready in case she comes back!! Finally a different waitress came to take our orders and she was really nice. We ordered finally and food came quick. I had Tavuk shish and was really delicious! my friends food was also delicious and abundant. I found it a little bit expensive compared to other Turkish restaurants I have visited eating the exact same food. They nicely served for free some Turkish delights as dessert. For your information: they don't share Service charge with their employees so feel free to ask the waiter to remove it from the total of your bill.

El ambiente era hablador y animado y no sentimos en absoluto de prisa (aunque eran diners tarde). La comida estaba fresca y llena de sabor. No he tenido mucho comida turca para comparar con pero la verdad es que disfrutamos.

They don't serve sharing platters for groups unlike most family run Turkish restaurants making them more expensive if you are a group of three or more. Food is acceptable (Charcoal Grill, Gokyuzu, and Capital restaurant much better) but lacks a decent salad to go with the grilled mains. Efes from next door as they don't have Turkish beer on their menu. Friendly hostess but slightly cocky waiter - probably part of his "charm."

Stopped there for a lunch: we went for the lunch deal £10.95 for a starter and a main.Lots of selection in the menu either for the lunch deal or "a la carte". It is said it is a Turkish restaurant however there are lots of "pubs dishes" such as scampi, fish and chips, steak, pizza, burgers etc.The food is good with good portion, we had a good service: efficient and friendly.

Had lunch in here on a Saturday. Food was amazing, tasty and quick service. Would go back like a shot. Pillow bread was delicious.

We went with our family and relations very recently. It is situated into this small street close to Bond underground station ( central line ). The restaurant is decorated with oriental decorations. Outside on the pavement there are table and chairs for you to enjoy food in a nice weather.Service was good.

Went to Grand Bazaar for dinner with friends and both the food and the service were not at all impressive. It took a really long time to order and we had to ask a number of times for the drinks as they were taking a super long time to arrive. In the end, we got them after asking three times. There seems to be a lack of staff knowledge of how to be efficient and to provide good service. If we asked for anything the staff looked puzzled or even stressed, which really doesn't create a nice experience for the customer. The food was average. Really a let down for a Turkish place. So all in all, the only thing the place has going for it is the location and the traditionally decorated interior with many colorful lights, which brightens the atmosphere.

We chose the mini meze at £14.50 each along with ballon bread and a bottle of prosecco. Food was lovely and lots of tasty dishes, staff were busy but friendly. We were given fresh fruit at the end of our meal. Can't wait to go again!

I was brought here as a birthday surprise following a lovely spa day. The staff are friendly and welcoming and managed our group of eight ladies very well. It was a Saturday afternoon so the restaurant was busy, but it was definitely worth the wait. We were a little early for our reservation but we're seen to straight away. Cocktails came quickly followed by our chosen Mezze. Food is delicious and well prepared. The mains were generous in portion and nothing was wasted! I also had a traditional birthday song played for me and was encouraged to dance along with out waiter. It was an excellent evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant for small or large groups.

Great staff and amazing atmomsphere. The Italian watress is so accomodating and friendly. Made me feel like I was the only one at the restaurant. Thought I was back in Instanbul. Friendly and fast service without making you feel rushed. Highly recommend it for a date as it is cozy and quiet and also if you need a quick meal on the run. I am definetely coming back.

Tasty food. Salads are fresh and delicious. Some of the appetizers were average. Tried the grilled Chicken Shish Tawook and the pizza like breads with chicken, both were very good. Helpful staff. Reasonable prices and a convenient option for shoppers because of its location.

Grand Bazaar was as lovely as anything I have enjoyed in Istanbul. We had the specials and the meze and amazing bread. Lamps and incense burners hang from the ceiling. The great service is great. It made for an enjoyable evening. Give yourself time to enjoy the meal and ambience.

Our son found the place originally through other airline pilots. Food was excellent. Prices reasonable. My wife loved the decor. When we return to this area of London, we'll come again.

Reasonably priced simple Turkish dishes including some vegetarian options. Staff are attentive and some are Turkish too. The decor is great. It's a small cosy cheerful restaurant suitable for casual dining.

Ordered the mixed grill meze but the meat arrived as we were ready to leave such was the waiting time for the grilled meat. The other non meat dishes were tiny in portion size, a few teaspoons in quantity, laid thinly flat to give the impression of something substantial. Not enough for 1 let alone 2 diners. The olives to welcome you were measly. The waiter reluctant to offer a jug of water bringing a glass instead. This place is popular and busy, but as an old time regular it's becoming more disappointing with each visit because I remember how it used to be.

Having read positive reviews prior, we decided to try the restaurant as I lived in Turkey and loved the cuisine.Unfortunately neither the service, nor the dishes were anywhere close by what was expected.Starting with a massive bummer...they DON'T have turkish tea?!?!?! Possibly one of the strongest element of their culture.Then it took 2 waiters to take the order because the first one forgot what was said. After about 45minutes of waiting for the dishes we were surprised by getting two completely cold meals. As we were hungry didn't bother to mention it and wait even more.The dishes were tasty, although not the usual turkish spices which would provide the sought after flavours.As a goodbye gift, we were literally told off by the waitress when we didn't find appropriate to provide any additional gratuity besides the 12.5% service charge already on the bill.Well, thank you Grand Bazaar...3 more guests who will not return for sure!

I reviewed this restaurant in 2013, and remarked then on the attempt by the staff to encourage an extra payment of around 25% "in view of the service you have received". I thought I would return to see how things had changed. Our party of four had an excellent meal, with a good atmosphere, and the service was indeed second to none. The technique used for settling the bill is, however, now slightly different. A service charge is added to the total, but when the card reader is presented an additional step is added so that one must press a special "F number" key indicating that one does not want to add an extra (presumably) 10% or so. This will embarrass many people into paying a service charge twice, while the staff member looks on. This unusual practice, no doubt considered a good idea by the restaurant, is the reason why, despite the good dining experience, I shall not return.

This is what you should order, mix mazza, Skander Kebab, and meat pastry. One of the best food in London, I always visit this restaurant whenever I go to London. The food is so delicious. they serve flat bread right from the oven along with the starter.Although the place is crowded, it still cozy and well decorated. The cost is about 20 pound average per person.suitable for kids, family, friends and couples.

We tried this place as first of all because my husband lived in Turkey for a while, and we love these type of kitchen. Second of all it does say on google it is a reasonable priced place. Well a main dish with chicken starts at £14.... and think of a regular portion, nothing extra. They don't have turkish tea, apprently they "don't do it' as we got to know from the young waitress. We waited around and hour to get our food.... then the check showed 10% of service charge.... Well okay, I'm not mean, I will pay for it, but then the waitress handed the card machine with the gratuity page on it, then kept watching while we tried to get off from the page as we were not willing to give extra tips after the 10% service charge and very poor service.... She then happenned to tell my friend that "that is the place sir you should enter the tip you want to give" .... I think it is very offensive as everybody has the right to decide what does or does not want to give. This place has nothing do with any kind of Turkish food or kitchen, apart of the lamps hanging from the ceiling. I'm sorry but what kind of Turkish restaurant does not serve the traditional Chai, but serve Italian desserts and mains....This place was a joke, and will never come here again.

We have been to this restaurant a few times and sadly it has really gone down hill. I had the james street special, the lamb was really chewy. Servers were grumpy and really not welcoming. I mentioned to the server about the lamb and he took the service charge off of the bill but still charged £16 for the meal with I hardly touched?! Not impressed and won't be back.

Grand Bazaar is one of the best Turkish cuisine that you can find in london it is located on James Street (St. Christophers place) I can suggest you most of the mezes but the mostly good ones are tabbuleh findik lahmacun albanian liver sucuk as a main you can try cop shish whch is pretty delicious or you can have 42 james street which is a mixed grill that you can taste everything the waiters and waitresses are friendly with you and they really take care with you and you feel like you are in smart place plus you ate like at home i have been studying in london for 4 years and at least twice a week I come here and i never get dissatisfied to finish with you should try tiramisu I am understanding the question on your mind tiramisu in Turkish cuisine but next door is italian its the same owners so it shouldn't be a question and if you want to drink some alcohol you can try the Turkish spirit raki or ask for a glass if Frangelica which is an italian liqueur made from hazel nut enjoy your visit

Came here to celebrate my sister's 19th birthday. The service is excellent! We were welcomed and well looked after. The food is brilliant, and the portion size is just right. Loved the desert!

Have been to this place a few times, food is good, it feels authentic Turkish, and the choice is great. Their meze menus are really nice and I would highly recommend - it si enough to get stuffed and try various dishes. Value for money is so-so, but then this is London... Waiters are so-so though, as someone mentioned before, they were constantly trying to take away our half-finished plates to the point that we had to be quite firm in telling them not to do so... Management should really look into reminding their staff about customer service. So, I would definitely recommend for food and lovely interior design, but don't expect too much from the service

Ok, so we discovered this place by accident as we were looking for a halal place. Couldn't have made a better choice. The hummus with the bread was spot on. The cheese sambousek was decadent. The pide, lamb and chicken, was devoured as soon as we got them. This is a wonderful place for a meal. The only downside was there understaffed waiters who we had to call over and over. Am definitely coming back here again for the pide.

We found this little jewel quite by accident while trying to make our way to the theatre. So glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were lovely. I'll definitely be going back on my next trip to London!

Full on busy, bustling restaurant just of Oxford St in central London. Super pide, balloon bread, hummus, kisir; the usual staples. Nicely decorated, efficient service, good value.having lunched in a 3* restaurant, this was certainly at the other end of the spectrum, but still excellent in its own way. No hesitation in recommending for a good value, decent Turkish meal in the West end.

I come here quite a lot and am impressed with the consistently high quality food. Describing as your favourite BBQ indoors may seem to limit its description, but I tend to go with the grilled meats and salads. The breads are fantastic - try the balloon bread: a must for your first visit - but there are pizza (pides) and pasta options too. Not the cheapest on the street, but consistently good food and welcoming service.

After being in London for 5 days, we needed something other than fish and chips and meat pie...our cabbie recommended Grand Bazaar...and we're glad he did!The restaurant is very vibrant and colorful with all the different, beautiful lanterns hanging from the ceiling.They were jammed but we were lucky enough to get a table inside. Our server was quick and personable.We had to order the balloon bread, every table surrounding us had one....It was delicious as was the "dip" that accompanied it. Our server also brought a type of salsa...only better than salsa...to eat with the bread. It was out of this world delicious!The only downer...rice pilaf? Really? Where's the basmati rice? That's why they're only getting 4 stars....My husband and I both had the salmon...out of this world good!

Stumbled upon this place on a nice summers day, although you could actually pass it by mistake as your walking along as its tucked away between other shops. Me and a friend have had a nice spot of lunch and the waitress was very helpfull and attentive, didnt expect much as most shops are quite similar along james street, but it was actually very nice, had spaghetti bolognese and also home made burger. Overall couldnt complain food was above average but the staff very friendly and gave a good experience.

It was a packed Thursday evening, but my friends and I managed to get a place there, we sat outside, ordered some food and it was delicious, the service was quick, and I would definitely go back. It was the right kind of weather and I just enjoyed the experience a lot !

The starters and mains were very good - fresh and the portions were large. My salmon was beautifully cooked. The restaurant has a nice buzz - it is just off Oxford Street and it has beautiful Turkish lamps and pictures. We were a big party of around 25 celebrating an anniversary so getting orders out at the same time was difficult, however those who ordered the salmon had a long wait! Desserts were very good the Turkish milk pudding was exceptional as was the pistachio baklava. The service was mixed - the waiter was apologetic and helpful but the waitress was rather rude! A shame as it spoilt an otherwise good dining experience

From the starter to the dessert, all the courses were really tasty. The house wine is also very good and the service is good. Prices are really acceptable for the quality of the food and service.

My Turkish friend took me here for an intimate birthday dinner. We ordered lots of little starters from the cucumber yogurt dip to the Turkish sausage, to hummus (with bits of lamb on top- so good!). We even got this lovely inflated bread to share. For the main we had a mixed grill with rice, salad and potatoes. For dessert, the burned milk pudding with apple tea - a sweet ending to our meal. We came on a Monday evening with no reservation. The vibe is cosy and friendly and the service is good. I'll definitely be returning, especially for the their starters and dessert!
