It has a really great wine selection and decent food. The place can get loud and the tables are far too close together for my taste. After the crowd has had a cpl of drinks, it becomes a challenge to hear yourself think, let alone to have a conversation. Nonetheless, I would visit again if for nothing else, then the wine list.

A menu to make you give up on the diet, service to make you give up on humanity. Each dish was almost rebellious, much like the image that the restaurant presents of itself. But if you get served the wrong drinks, don't get some things that you ordered, and aren't helped to understand the menu, make sure that you rebel, too.

Exceptional from start to finish. Particular stand out was the octopus and tomato salad and the cheese tart. Wine selection was incredible and service could not have been better. Have already recommended to a few friends and no suprise it has three versions of it. Special thank you to the staff for being so accomodating of our baby in pram. Its a small place so your hospitality was greatly appreciated. Going out with small ones is a rare treat so thanks again.

Good atmosphere. The wine selection is huge as expected. The menu is offering much less options (obviously!). It lacks perhaps a bit of creativity and/or surprise. That said the food we ordered was good (the chicken liver choux is delicious) and the service was pleasant.

Absolutely loved the food and the service here. We were recommended an orange wine based on what we told them we liked and it was spot on! The desserts were a bit too simple compared to the rest of the menu.Other than that, brilliant. The octopus we had isn’t in the photos but def the highlight of our order.

We made a highly anticipated visit to the Soho restaurant today and we’re all sadly underwhelmed by the food, it was supremely poor! The restaurant’s only redeeming factor was the service, the staff were all very nice and gave good service. Loved the book, but sadly ate some of the most mediocre food ever! If you enjoy eating out then give this a miss!

Excellent dishes and awesome service. The staff are polite, well educated on dishes and food. The chap who looked after us tonight on the 2nd floor was exceptional. The food didn't disappoint - chicken parfait choux bun, Oeufs en Meurette (what a dish), Pork and Apricot Terrine, Lamb Rump (perfectly seasoned buttery steak), confit duck, washed down with a reasonably priced Birgundy and chocolate mousse with Madeira to finish. Loved it.

Had dinner at Noble Rot tonight after it being on my list for quite some time. Overall it was a very good experience, though I expected slightly more for the price point. I had a chicken liver choux bun, which was delicious (the choux was perfect contrary to other reviews I’ve seen). I then had the pork and apricot terrine, which I really enjoyed BUT thought one piece of toast was stingy and some mustard or such would have been epic. I then had the tomato butter slip sole, which I could have done without. It wasn’t filleted and easily could have been, saving me work and bones in my mouth. It also needed something as accoutrement to complete the dish. I finished with the ricotta cake with roasted apricots, which I enjoyed thoroughly. Perhaps my biggest complaint was there wasn’t a single portion available of the chicken, which is one of the main reasons I wanted to come. As someone who regularly dines alone and cooks chicken solo for himself, I firmly believe this to be possible and wish it would be considered. The staff was very kind and recommended a lovely Portuguese wine to accompany my food. I would consider coming back but not solo.

I had lunch here today with a friend. The prices are high... but it is central London. I ordered the only vegetarian dish on their menu - gnocchi. This dish was priced at £28. I received 10 pieces of gnocchi for this price. My friend ordered a fish dish and received a reasonable amount of food. I felt 10 gnocchi for £28 was an outrage and pointed this out to the wait staff. They did come back with a larger portion for me and did rectify the situation, but this should never have happened to start with. If you charge £28 for a main you should serve a main sized portion, not the kids size I first received. The food was good, and the staff were friendly, but I will not be returning.

I had high expectations but sadly no cigar. On entering was hit with a wall of heat ground floor level,no ventilation. Thankfully taken to 1st floor with air con. That was the highlight and all downhill thereafter. We ordered food and drinks fairly quickly. The drink arrives swiftly. All good. We then have to wait over an hour for the starter. Which I had to chase and ask for bread as I was starving. No advice or touch base about delay. I had to stop the waiter to chase our order and request bread as we were starving. After making remarks of our disappointment they made sure the mains arrived faster but too late and the damage was done. The starter and main wasn’t exactly amazing either tbh. I only decided to chance this location as their 1st and primary/main restaurant was so good. Not sure I would ever try them again at this price point. My partner overheard an American couple experiencing the same treatment, having heard rave reviews about the other venue but had to book here due to full capacity.

Really good reliable cooking in this small, rather cramped dining room. There is a larger room upstairs which would be more suitable for anyone hard of hearing as it became pretty noisy at one point. However - the service was excellent and the food delicious and we enjoyed a long and leisurely lunch. The chicken in Vin Jaune a particular triumph and the lamb rump was also pretty good, the lamb rare and tender and the sauce rich and silky. There is a very extensive wine list as you would expect. This is a fairly expensive restaurant but where isn't these days even for only half decent food. - and the food here is considerably better than half decent. I will happily return .

Back to @noblerotsoho for dinner tonight but this time at the #soho location for their roast chicken I don’t usually order roast chicken at a restaurant unless there’s something interesting about how it’s been cooked so this was a leap of faith and oh my goodness 🤤 Perfectly cooked chicken with morel mushrooms in a delicious sauce. There’s a reason this is permanently on the menu (there’s a 45min wait tho so order early). Everything else we had was also really good. The crisp choux with the chicken liver parfait left me wishing we hadn’t chosen to share, the hint of horseradish dressing the asparagus was perfect and the pain perdu with spiced ice cream will feature in my dreams tonight. I also loved the dining room at this location. I squeezed through the small front doors to this beautifully traditional and intimate dining room (which got seriously loud as it filled up).

I've been eager to try out this spot for a while but it is not worth the hype . We managed to walk in at 5 pm for a party of three. The food was good, but not mind-blowing. My partner and I have visited many times. Staff are always welcoming and efficient. The interior of this old building is beautifully decorated in deep blue and dark wood. We love the upstairs dining room the most, with its fabulous paintings of Greek Street Old and New where you can spot famous figures of past and present. (They have a whos who guide). The Aesop products in the bathroom delight me, smell amazing and add a touch of luxury. This is obviously a wine focused restaurant but they are not snooty or pretentious in the least. The selection is excellent and we have tried wines here we never would have tasted otherwise as they do exquisite wine by the glass, making it more affordable to try something rare, refined or out of the ordinary. The food is always excellent. The menu changes monthly except for certain dishes which are always retained. There are little plates such as olives, salami etc, then starter size and mains. We always order their superb bread and butter, three different kinds of bread. All excellent and soft rich butter. I'm a sucker for their small plates (starter size) and want to order all of them. We often order several small plates and share, rather than a main as there is so much variety and they are all excellent. The cheese plate is always superb and thoughtfully designed. It is served with thin crackers. Mains are very generous. I'm not a dessert person generally and have only tried the chocolate mousse which was superb, very rich and utterly decadent. So much so I couldn't finish it. I cannot recommend Noble Rot enough for a romantic dinner but I also took my parents here and they loved it. I look forward to visiting Noble Rot again and again.

I’m a big fan of the Lambs Conduit Street one. This one was disappointing. I appreciate this is a wine led place so let me start by saying I couldn’t fault the range of choice etc. I came to have supper with an old school friend and booked for 6pm. Service was really good but the last half hour of the meal was ruined as we were rushed through our dessert and coffee and presented with a bill and told the next guests were waiting and we needed to leave rightaway. For a £200 meal it was an utterly lousy end. I was told the confirmation email said we had 2 hour 15 minute slot. I did not know but, even so, it was a Wednesday night and we should have been told not to bother with dessert as we would be leaving with indigestion!!! Starter - shared a passable mackerel salad. My main - lovely pork chop cooked really well. Dessert - chocolate mousse and a cheese board which was decent cheese but very basic in terms of accompaniments. The food was good but didn’t match the quality of the wine. I felt like a nice meal with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while was rushed and ruined. Won’t return to this one sadly.

It was quite and had little atmosphere in a small room with about six small tables. This may be suitable for people who prefer not to raise there voices over dinner but felt VERY quiet last night. We had just gone on a 10 kilometre walk through London so we were hungry and tired. We should have complained about food tbh. But want to tell others to try elsewhere for less money. I'm not sure if it's because it's a chain now it's lost something of the original standard. If you want average local gastro pub food at fine dinning prices - go to Noble Rot! The FOOD: Starter of clams £15.50 The clams came in a typically small London portion. Not particularly hot, a third of the clamshells clamless inside in the small portion. The dish itself would have been quite tasty but it was SO SALTY! The saltiest dish i have ever tasted. If I were with anyone but my partner who likes his food to be salty (even he said it was borderline edible). It was a shame because some pleasant flavours of fennel and thyme. It tasted as salty as sea water. Main Roquefort , pear tart £26 This was such a disappointment!! A small all butter puff pastry tart , no finesse in the presentation, VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF ROQUEFORT. Bland slice of pear on the pastry. A teeny tiny piece of pickled walnut. I could have knocked this up at home quite easily. it was accompanied with a splodge of spinach that felt like an afterthought... The sauce was rich, buttery and salty but I felt unpleasant after consuming such a rich sauce. The Hake; £32 The fish itself was very nice .It was slightly overcooked but that is how I prefer it. Accompaniments unmemorable. A VERY SMALL portion. The price just doesn't justify the side. Wine was fine. They didn't have our first choice. We didn't order dessert as fear it would be very disappointing also. If you want very expensive food you can get for half the price at your local gastro-pub go to Noble Rot.

We came here for a late Xmas present for 2 couples! We were sat upstairs which is quite small but nice and cosy. Service was excellent, we shared a few starters and then 3 of us had the classic chicken ish Noble Rot famous for, very much worth it. Lovely lazy lunch and great wine. Highly recommended.

This evening was an absolute joy. Came from France on a Saturday night without any booking considering there is no chance I'll have a table. The lovely lady at the front instead kindly took my phone number in case there is a cancellation. Less than 30min later, a call telling me there is a table available for an hour and a half, more than enough for me on my own. The food was super from start to finish. Some simple recipe but perfectly prepared and VERY well seasoned. On top of that, a great selection of wine by the glass that I could pick from. I decided to go for the trocken Riesling as an aperitif then I left my waiter giving me his recommendations. Surely it was a bit pricey, given I took a glass of wine on every single course , I think it was worth every penny, thank you so much to Guy, my waiter, who was an absolute gentleman, to the lovely lady taking care of the bookings (sorry to not have ask your name), and in general to the restaurant which was a recommendation from a sommelier friend who was absolutely right, this place is amazing !

Be careful with this place. I walked in and was greeted warmly by the manager who sat me in the corner. I ordered wine and olives, and while I was reviewing the menu, the waiter informed me that their "license required that I order more food" than just olives. I was in the process of reviewing the menu. I then ordered a salad, which made me violently ill. Not sure whether it was the olives, the salad, or the wine, but be careful. When I paid, the waiter abruptly left with my receipt. When I went up and asked for a printed receipt, she said I just needed to ask for one. I told her I did ask for one! She was rather rude about it. As I said, be careful with this place.

We were a guest of a friend of ours for dinner. She belonged to the club and we had reservations at 7 PM. We were sat immediately upstairs in the dining room where menus were given to us. It took a bit to get our drink orders, but we ordered a round of cocktails to get started. The waiter came around and suggested we order starters with our entrées as entrées take a while. We agreed and proceeded to order and one of the questions we had when somebody ordered the Seabass we asked what size it came with. He said it came with a garnish. I also asked what came with my pork chops. He said nothing you should order sides. When our entrées arrived, there were side dishes and quite abundant. I don’t know if he didn’t know his own menu or was this as a ploy to get us to order side dishes. The food was good. Everybody enjoyed their meal. We split a sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was yummy. Service was attentive only thing that bothered me as it took them a while to clear the plates. I would say go there if you get a chance, but you have to be invited by a guest.

When we arrived yesterday, the restaurant was closed and looks like they are doing some construction work internally. Why they still allow people to make reservation when they are closed!

Celiac, so excited to have a menu that I could order anything from. Amazing food, and a real treat.
