THE best and tastiest Turkish meal I’ve had outside Turkey. Absolutely excellent

I am a regular customer of this restaurant. I went with my colleague last night, as usual, and the food was delicious. The service was good, and the staff were polite.

Wildly overpriced for decent, but not great food Service is hit or miss

situated about a five minutes walk from st johns wood station. it’s a fabulous restaurant with authentic food and beautiful decor. i especially recommend the moussaka. their service is lovely and friendly namely cem. will definitely go again :)

Wonderful restaurant with tasty and feel good food. Good vegetarian options and all of their bakery items such as pide, bread are really good. In dessert, Kunefe is to die for, it’s absolutely delicious and is the reason I am coming to this restaurant again and again.

I went on an off day with a friend who frequents this establishment regularly and will go again, staff absolutely tip top and a very relaxing and nice vibe.

Stumbled upon the restaurant and it was so lovely. The staff were very friendly and the food was high quality. The portions were on the smaller side. Great ambience. Our waiter was so lovely, thank you.

We went here for a late lunch after a tour of Lords Cricket ground. I had the lamb tagine & my partner had the Mixed grill! Both were absolutely superb in flavour & the lamb in the tagine fell off the bone. I am not a great meat eater but I truly was impressed! Thank you

Aan te bevelen ! Heel lekker gegeten, we voelden ons erg welkom. Het Turks brood om te starten is al overheerlijk. De hoofdschotels zijn heel vullend (veel). De locatie is goed bereikbaar en heeft een gezellig kader.

Good Turkish restaurant with a nice selection

Service is 10/10. The manager of the restaurant is the greatest example of hospitality and the food it’s delicious. Used to work in the area and I’d pop in for a quick drink after work or a proper meal twice a week and I always felt the most welcomed guest. Thanks guys🩷

One of the best restaurants in London. The food is outstanding, especially the lamb which I have every time I visit. The service is impeccable and so friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. My friend Roy is a regular and we are planning our group visit to this restaurant again before Christmas. I had a lovely dinner! I had chicken külbastı with Ayran. And i enjoyed the chilli souce. Food was amazing and The staff are very kind. I definitely recommend!

I have dined at this restaurant several times since I returned to the area over 20 years ago. With the spacious dining room and cheerful staff, bean dishes, seafood, and meats are all delicious and generous portions, making this a restaurant we go to often. My daughter loves the bolognese here for some reason.

not recommended, midges constantly in my table, portions of roast meat decidedly poor, but expensive in price, 33cl beers at 7 pounds each, not recommended at all

Grilled meat platter for two was superb the flavour they get into their meat is insane. Took half home it’s huge! Turkish wine was also very good. Our waiters English was terrible my only downside. Busy Saturday night I got the feeling most of the diners had been going there for many years there was a great atmosphere

Delicious food, I had grilled lamb it was really tasty. Quality professional service , our food came within minutes even though it was quite busy. Nice family friendly atmosphere.

Popped in to this place on a dreary wet day on our way to The Hundred at Lords. What a great experience. Attentive, friendly service. Wonderful food - I had the chicken skewers and my husband had chicken wing skewers - both of which were beautifully cooked with rice or chips and dressed salad. For central London the price was very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Amazing food, the Aubergine starter with warm bread was stunning. I had the lightest, huge Moussaka and my daughter had a wonderful authentic Lamb Shish. The Baclava with vanilla ice cream was delicious. Loved the Turkish wine. Beautiful restaurant, lovely friendly staff, great location. Perfect in every way 🥰

Service was really good. The guy was efficient and fast. They gives us some bread with tatziki in the beginning. We had two starters, I got fried whitebait with tatar sauce it was okay and my girlfriend had the imam bayaldi it was good. Then for main I had the moussaka quite good and my girlfriend got the fish good as well but the skin was not crispy. Overall good

Very pleasant restaurant with attentive waiters/owners. Nice outside seating area, but we were not booked, so sat inside, which was ok. Relatively expensive for what is offered, but this is of course St John's Wood! We had one vegetarian moussaka, which was just ok. Plus a lamb moussaka, which was watery, only luke warm, too much sliced potato, v little aubergine, and almost totally lacking any moussaka flavour. The side salads were ok. I think we just made the wrong choices. It's obviously better than we experienced because it seems to have many repeat customers, who the owners seem to know and welcome in a friendly manner.

My favorite meal in London. Delicious, fresh food—divinely cooked chicken & lamb, soft fluffy rice, perfectly steamed al dente vegetables. The service was spectacular; they were attentive, kind, personable, and made us feel at home. Highly, HIGHLY recommend.

Best Turkish breakfast at the heart of St John’s Wood

Wyśmienita kuchnia, bardzo kulturalna i szybka obsługa, czysto I przyjemnie. Duży wybor dań. Zupa dnia z soczewicy goraca i bardzo aromatyczna, jagnięcina soczysta, warzywa idealne, halumi swietnie zgrillowane, makaron również doskonały, wielkość porcji w sam raz. Polecam!

Lovely Turkish cuisine with outdoor terrace.

It's an eatery rather than a restaurant, practical rather than romantic, With decent Turkish food and a heated outside space which can be covered for winter. It's good for big groups and is often hosting a group or two at most times. Servers try very hard and meals are served quickly. It compares well with many other Turkish places, really, atmosphere or food wise. Most meals around £20, Italian pasta avout £13. Turkish beer and wine are quite good.

Visited with a friend while awaiting news of her partners' operation at the Wellington. Great location as it was very close to the hospital. Very good service all staff was very attentive. The quality of the food was excellent - the lamb dish I had was so tender it melted in the mouth. Good value for money and has good person sizes. Excellent bottle of red to accompany the meal at an affordable price. I would definitely visit again.

I have been trying foods @Fora to like if any. Not my type of food I am looking for to come always. The staff is excellent. The environment is good but not the food. Usually people come for special meeting and not expecting so much on food.

Literally the best food in St Johns Wood. Such nice atmosphere and amazing food, we go back regularly and every time the food is so good!

Chicken was not well cooked and rice was hard also the vegetables were hard and raw. This price is too high for this food. We are disappointed. Sorry but I can only give one star.

This place serves an excellent Iskender Kebap. They offer a complimentary tasty starter as well as complimentary Turkish Delight at the end. Overall, the food is delicious and the staff are personable & generous.

Turkish food is known for its rich flavours. It’s often well seasoned with spices that make your mouth water as you eat it and crave for more. Unfortunately the food at Fora is none of that. It is as bland as it could be. Has absolutely no flavour. Service is below average and prices are high for the quality of food they serve. If you’re looking for authentic and flavourful Turkish cuisine and good service I recommend that you look for another restaurant. Fora would disappoint you.

Great food, great service and better Kunefe than I had in Turkey. I'd thoroughly recommend this venue.

A bit disappointed with my last visit. Have been here a few times and have always loved the food and service. 5 stars for them. However, last visit was not so good. Ordered a plant based dish from the menu, what was served didn't even remotely match the description from the menu. Some ingredients were missing and some not listed added, including something I'm allergic to. Didn't want to make too much of a fuss in front of other diners so explained to the staff that I wasn't happy or prepared to eat/pay quietly. A simple sorry and/or explanation would have been nice. The reception was cold and, it seemed, annoyed at us! Really not impressed and so won't be eating there again. My fellow diner was happy and enjoyed their food, hence the 3 stars instead of 1.

Enjoyed a really delicious lunch today at Fora in St Johns Wood. We were very well looked after by pleasant staff. The is a good choice of dishes on the menu and the restaurant and facilities were clean and well presented. Will look forward to visiting again.

Such a delicious lunch and great options for vegetarians as well as meat eaters. The Halloumi casserole was especially fab. Great service and so friendly. Great drinks and a fab place to eat.

Lovely restaurant located close to St John’s Wood station. Nice and spacious seatings. Loved the Special Mixed Grill! The meat was very tender and nicely marinated. Great customer service also. Would recommend.

We went to Fora to have breakfast on the weekend, the breakfast got ready after 45 minutes and it was so cold that we couldn’t eat. After complaining, the lady working there, did not offer anything and charged us 20 pounds for 1 bottle of water and 2 turkish coffees! This is absolutely unprofessional!

Really good (perhaps only in the area?) late night dining option, especially post Cricket match at Lords while you wait out the foot traffic to St Johns tube station. The food if well made, good quality and service was also good. End of the day, its a kebab, a good kebab none the less but the pricing is reflected more for the location it is in and less around the food.

We stopped in for lunch with our 15 month old grandson and his parents. The staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much. The food was of an extremely high standard and we were all delighted with our choice and our grandson particularly enjoyed all the attention and his food. I would certainly choose to go again when in the area.

Adana Kofta was well spiced and very tasty. Slight amount of heat to it as well. Vegetables were cooked perfectly with just a slight crunch and the seasoning was on point. Bread appetizer was a nice touch as well. Will definitely be back

Really poor food and customer service. We asked if the falafels came with humous so we know if we need to order any extra humous. We were told no, but there was plenty of humous with the falafels. Really bland, poor food. Better humous available in supermarkets and staff are rude.

My family and I come here for birthdays and other special occasions because of the amazing food, professional & respectful staff and gorgeous setting. We love it, and will definitely come again!

Used to be sofra...but the staff bought it..and changed name to Fora...they also improved the service...and the food...really welcoming place with the best grilled meat in st John's wood.

Wow.. the grilled meat is amazing

The food at Fora was not very good. Firstly, it was overpriced for the quality provided. I ordered the chicken creme which I’ve had multiple times in different restaurants- this was by far the worst one I’ve eaten. The chicken was completely unseasoned and extremely dry I could barely swallow it. There was barely any sauce and the rice provided was of the stodgy cheap variety and they gave a tiny portion of rice - the ratio of chicken to rice was like 5:1. The fattoush salad was also tiny and was poorly seasoned. I would not come here again and I am sorry to have wasted my time and money eating here.

Mediocre food at best. Ordered 1 x Whitebait (seemed like it was frozen and was greasy) 1 x special grill - mediocre 1 x moussaka - mediocre, did not taste fresh was very unremarkable Waiter tried to upsell my wife into ordering a mixed grill platter which was double the price of the special grill Waiter said that there was no apple pie left so I asked for ice-cream. Waiter offered 1 scoop and I agreed. I saw him type in 1 scoop on the epos system so I asked him how many scoops l should get - he said 3!!?? I said so I should have 3 too. I would not return there

Nice indoor and outdoor seating with traditional food. Highly recommend the lamb tagine. Always just falls off the bone. The staff are Incredible. They now know us well with the frequent visits and put up with two screaming children with a big smile on their faces. Thank you !

My friend and I stumbled into Fora by chance walking around the charming neighbourhood of St Johns wood. The service was gruff and the food almost inedible. The grilled octopus looked old and had an orange tinge. The manager assured us that’s what grilled octopus looks like… I don’t think so. Everything was under seasoned. Mysterious ingredients and smells and the chicken was pink. It just so happened it was a holiday so most restaurants were closed hence why we didn’t get up and leave immediately. This place should be shut down. My friend and I were sick all afternoon, it took me 24 hours to recover from this dump of a restaurant. They should be ashamed of themselves, serving disgusting food like this. Just shocking.

The place is charming, even though unpretentious. My moroccan tagine (whilst liking some extra cinque epices) was incredibly taste and the manager is extremely attentive even though most staff have very limited english Warmly recommended

The overall look and feel of the restaurant is really old and not charming. Food wasn't amazing, and pretty average for the price. The waiters weren't wearing masks and got too close to our table and ourselves. Overall I don't recommend it and won't be coming back.

Jan 2022 Visited today at lunch and although the place was empty there was a distinct lack of attention in the kitchen.Our whitebait was re-heated and over fried and the Lamb Tagine, normally so good , was cold and had more fat than meat. Service was good but the experience was let down by those in the kitchen. November 2021 4 stars A good standard Turkish restaurant with a good value set menu as well as an a la carte. We had fresh, crispy whitebait and a large Lamb Tagine (with rice rather than couscous) for £19 ph. Nice sized terrace adjacent to the main restaurant room, and now plenty of tables on the pavement. Very good Turkish coffee to finish.

My wife and I chose this restaurant to organise our wedding reception because of various reasons. First, it is situated in St John’s Wood - a quiet, green and beautiful affluent neighborhood in North West London. Second, the menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters, main courses and desserts. As a starter, everyone had a mix of different mezzes such as Hummus, Tabouleh, Cacik, Shakshuka and Babaganoush. As a main, I had the Centik Special - a traditional Ottoman dish that consisted of grilled cubes of lamb, chicken and kofte placed on a nest of matchstick cut potatoes, topped with yoghurt sauce & a hint of garlic. It was garnished with grilled tomatoes and peppers. My wife tried the Lamb Tagine - lamb cooked with carrots, celery, onions, green olives, dried fruit and nuts & fresh herbs served with rice. They were all exquisite. As a dessert, I had the Apricots filled with cream and almond & pistachio. My wife had the Ottoman Kadayif - shredded pastry with cream filling, pistachio and syrup. They were both absolutely delicious! In terms of drinks, everyone had their own choices but the freshly squeezed lemonade and orange juice were loved by everyone. Last but not least, the service was of very high quality. The owner was very warm and thoughtful when jointly planning the day ahead of time. During the day itself, he came around a few times to check on our experience and seemed to be authentically engaged. As for the waiters, they were very engaged and interested in their jobs. This day itself was very magical to both my wife and myself, and having this fantastic experience at this specific restaurant reinforced everything. Thus, I highly recommend this restaurant. The location is great, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is brilliant.

Unremarkable food and atmosphere. Never again!

Went with no expectations as a tourist. Being a resident of Abu Dhabi for over 15 years have experienced a lot of Turkish restaurants. The owners were present and actively managing the guests. Prior to the meal I shared my previous gastronomic experiences. The owner responded with "LET'S TALK AFTER THE MEAL". After having the lamb chops, grilled prawns and the lamb tagine. All I could say was "thank you for the experience and wonderful meal." I would strongly recommend the restaurant for a good gastronomic experience and for the friendly service. Oh BTW did not pay an arm and a leg. Total value for money.
