Haz, Plantation Place in City of London, Westminster

The staff were rude from entry when I asked to move my table to a quieter spot: "everywhere is noisy" the female receptionist stated. Starters arrived after the mains (all were to be at the same time). When the waiter mispronounced my dish, the incredibly dismissive and rude waiter in the jacket then took the menu, opened it - and pointed out the dish - in front of my fellow diner. Way to make a point! Way to lose custom! Incredibly rude staff - from start to end.

Parfait, très bonne adresse, très bon repas, vin français de qualité, service à la française, beau cadre et le personnel est très amical. Je recommande pour passer une soirée entre amis.

My friend and I have been to, and enjoyed Haz Plantation Place several times but today we decided we would never return. After we got our starters we were constantly hovered over (at one point by 3 staff) and stared at to see if we'd finished, at one point a woman stood next to and stared at the items on our table with her tablet in her hand and only moved away when I gave her a quizzical look. Another waitress reached right across my plate when I whilst still eating to put something on the other side on the table (a point she could have easily reached on our tiny table by coming round the other side) TWICE and when I asked her to stop doing that she asked why so I said 'because it is RUDE, I am eating and you are putting your arm in my face!' She looked nonplussed. The lamb in the humus and lamb starter was chewy, My main course of lamb kebab was horrible, running in grease, a tiny pot of 'tomato salad' and a VERY small portion of overcooked greasy vegetables, items are overpriced, too. Over 90 quid between two for a 2 course below average meal and coffee without alcohol. The tables were so close together that staff and other customers had their bottoms over our table whilst they moved between tables. I wanted to withhold the service charge but my friend looked awkward, so we paid what they didn't deserve. They couldn't wait for us to leave so they could get another set of diners in and quite frankly we couldn't wait to leave.

I frequented this establishment on numerous occasions several years ago and as I was in the City with an old friend I decided to eat there- I found the starter I had chosen Falafel was dry and with vert little to accompany it and was devoid of salad and very little Hummus .The bread was small squares of white with no sauces. The main course was lamb with no rice or salad just broccoli with a dip of oil.

We were seated and served within 10 minutes. Staff were efficient, however, they were not friendly. Food was very good but everything felt very rushed. They cleared the table and brought the bill without us even finishing our drinks and were obviously waiting for us to leave. We were in there for a total of 35 minutes max! I understand that they are busy with the lunchtime rush but for the price I would expect better service.

Food and service was very nice.. We enjoy the foods. Somehow we got some hair top of the drink glass but they change it quickly also didn’t charge for drink, I really appreciate that.. 👌

Staff efficient and professional but most of them were cold and disinterested. No atmosphere. Mix of clientele. Starters were good, cocktails ok but expensive and mains were good all except the lamb kofta which was grisly. Very expensive for what we had and experienced. Won’t be returning.

Had lunch here and felt so rushed. Staff continuously came over asking for our order and whilst we are eating they continued to peer at our table taking plates away whilst we ate. Some people will love having an attentive waiter, but less than an hour between being sat down and paying is too fast. Mixed grill didn't come with bread or rice, so meat only for £24 - not worth it. Tables squashed in against other people. Staff insisted on bringing over alcoholic beer in place of a non-alcoholic beer which wasn't in stock.

Was recommend to by a colleague and I must say this was more than I expected. Very good customer service and spectacular food. We also had a bottle of their house red, beautiful on the tongue.

A smart restaurant but don’t be fooled the offer isn’t anything special. I think it’s a little pushy for the £42 per head special menu to be the only one offered - we had to ask for the a la carte and even then the waitress tried to push the dearer option which didn’t suit our needs - three children in the group. Soup was very thin, had little flavour and was no warmer than tepid. The hummus looked good but surely it should have some flavour? Main courses were generally enjoyed but what would a Turkish restaurant be that couldn’t produce chicken shish, tagine and veg lasagne. Competent but unexciting and not up to the expectations generated by the smart surroundings and grand pronouncements on the website All in all I think it’s fair to say that a meal at McDonalds wold have been as enjoyable and probably £200 cheaper Not recommended on the basis that this place excels at being ordinary

My girls and I had a lovely time at Haz Plantation Place yesterday evening. We were looked after very well by Ahmet thank for your warm welcoming, the remain staff was very efficient and professional. 5***** Very pleased that I have booked this restaurant for my friend birthday party , must to say their menu meets every one taste and dietary restrictions from vegetarian Mezes to beautifully cooked lamb chops. Lovely décor and very well presented, so far one of the best Turkish restaurant I have tried in the city. Big thank to all Haz team and we definitely come back again!

Stumbled across this restaurant and it was absolutely amazing. Very welcoming and happy staff members which made the experience even better. From the starters to dessert everything was extremely tasty and flavourful.

It was not a nice experience! As soon as we sat and ordered a wine, we saw mice running around the tables next to us and the staff was looking around and behaving like nothing was going on, until we said we were leaving and didn't want any food they started moving people to the main restaurant!! Unacceptable and shocking!

Not very happy, old cooked food, serving at a very low standard, we are not going to get back definitely.

Not far from Monument station and Leadenhall Market. We were seated promptly and orderly smoothly. We the food was well cooked and lovely. My husband had one minor gripe that was he would have liked his lasagne a little hotter. My beğendi kebab was tasty. The sauce was lovely too. The bulgur was nice. Home made chips were great. My daughter was too tired to eat her chicken shish. I cut it for her and the pieces were succulent. My niece’s lamb kofte dish was lovely. We definitely recommend Hazelnut Plantation Place. We’d happily eat here again when visiting London.

I've organised a business dinner here as I've come here before a few years ago, however the portions have reduced, prices increased and our food took a while to be served even though it wasn't super busy. Welcoming staff. The food was okay/standard but definitely doesn't justify the price. I was recommending this place to colleagues but I'm not sure that I will going forward...

Fantastic food & a good venue for a drink after work.

Me and my team attended there for the first time, I ordered a kalamari for starters which was more crumbs hardly any squid in there, the chef must of cut them in very thin slices. My main course was a sirloin rib eye steak medium rare, it was so tough to cut I was actually fighting with it. The vegetables that came with my steak was clearly frozen not fresh at all, The staff were friendly but the service was very slow, asked for ketchup it took them 20min by that time I was dipping my chips in my steak sauce. Overall it seems like a nice place but was not impressed with the food quality. I won’t be coming back

Service and food in general was 10/10 just do not get the mixed grill, you’ll be disappointed by the size.

Food was really nice. Fresh flavours. Tasty and good portions. The mixed Meze all day to start was a good option for 4 of us. I took the waiters recommendation on the Iskender dish over the mixed grill and wasn’t disappointed some great flavours and a bit different to what I would usually get. We had a table booked but still had to wait 10-15 mins to be seated when we got in as they seem to have over booked, it did quieten down later on.

Today we visited this restaurant and liked the food, but the rude waiter is very rude and, moreover, does not know English, does not know how to communicate, does not know the menu Because of this waiter, we were very upset, but the delicious food saved our mood. Amazing food and service one thing annoyed me was that we had to wait 25mins before we got our reserved table nevertheless the manager apologised and gave us free drinks- luckily for me I had my client who drinks alcohol so the glasses of wine went to him! Overall as usual great food.

Although the bulgar rice, chips and lamb shank and sauce was lovely, my salmon was extremely dry and unseasoned. The waitress was extremely rude and clearly did not want to be there. She took our order and only once our food arrived and we asked, did she bring our drinks. As a previous waitress myself for many years, to bring the food out separately and without drinks is totally unacceptable. When we said goodbye and thank you she didn't even look up from her phone. There was no music or atmosphere in there either. It felt like getting blood out of a stone just asking for the standard things in a restaurant, very uncomfortable. I have had much better food in North London where I live where the food is succulent and the service is warm and friendly, definitely will not be back and future customers - save your money and go elsewhere! If the money put into the decor went into the quality of the service and some basic manners, things wouldn't be as bad.

Worse customer service! The woman who served us was super rude and disrespectful. You pay so much for the food and get horrible people to serve you. Never going back or recommending it to anyone!

Our experience at Haz was underwhelming. The roasted cauliflower was bland and had an unappealing mushy texture. Equally disappointing was the babaganoush, which lacked the signature smoky flavor and was surprisingly scant on aubergine, losing the essence of what makes this dish a favorite for many. Service also fell short of expectations. Not once during our meal were we asked if we were enjoying our dishes or if we'd like to order another drink, a basic aspect of attentive customer service. After finishing our meal, we experienced a prolonged wait of about 15 minutes before our plates were cleared, adding to our dissatisfaction. Considering the high prices, I expected a meal and service of much higher quality. Regrettably, both the food and customer service failed to meet even basic standards. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on this experience.

Food was bland and expensive! Also visited on a Thursday and that was a mistake as there were a lot of people drinking outside of the restaurant which was a put off.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Man ist auf meinen Wunsch nach einem veganem Essen souverän eingegangen. Keine Nachfrage "aber Käse ist dich OK" oder so. Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Getränkekarte umfangreich. Zum Glück hat die Chefin gezahlt 😉.

Have been to Haz a couple.of times and it was always a safe choice for decent Turkish food. A bit let down this time by the place. The cleanliness was not what it used to be. The restaurant was empty but the tables and chairs had food on them and we had to ask to get this cleared. Tables had stains in them and toilets were wet and not very clean. Food was decent as always, and the kebabs were really good. Two servers who were friendly and attentive. Good food but not happy with the state of the place.

My favorite is the lamb shish which are lamb medallions and the best I ever had. Hummus is good as well along with the most other starters. I had tried the lamb shish kofte before which was more gamey in my opinion so I prefer the lamb shish that isn't gamey at all and perfectly cooked. Does get loud if crowded but didn't bother me.

We deliveroo’d Haz! It was the worst. A soggy tortilla wrap with limp salad and cold chips … a terrible feta borek type thing also cold. Never again

We were party of 9, all of us was happy with the dishes. We went there at lunch time and it was full. The manager and staffs were very nice and attentive.

Start with one negative - the price of our lunch was rather LARGE and more like the price of a dinner - however we had a great time from the minute we arrived til the minute we left! Fabulous lovely staff - charming, smiley even though super-busy just half an hour after we arrived - but they kept on smiling! What I liked was, not been there before but we were treated like highly valued customers and that was lovely! Thank you for a fab time, tasty lunch (spicy chicken stir fry - yum!) and the fact not once did you try chasing us away once we finished eating - even got hugs off them when saying goodbye. Will be back even though a bit dear because of the wonderful ambience!

I visited Haz restaurant in London, initially attracted by its stylish and upscale ambiance. However, as the lunchtime crowd grew, so did my bill. Paying £57, including VAT and a 13.5% service charge, for an appetizer, a drink, a bottle of water, and a portion of chips felt quite excessive. The price seems to be influenced by the location, and while the atmosphere was pleasant, the cost left me somewhat disappointed.

Les entrées que nous avons partagés tous ensemble entre convives étaient bonnes également! Seul petit reproche : on nous a débarrassé les entrées très rapidement alors que nous n'avions pas terminé car les plates sont arrivés un peu trop vites. The restaurant atmosphere is really nice and clean, and the staff is very friendly. We had some delicious starters and I had Moussaka and my friend had Chicken Sheesh and both were very good. The portions are generous and you are definitely full after the meal. It seems like a good restaurant for hosting a party too. Definitely coming back as it's in our area.

I had an incredible dining experience at Haz last night. The food was halal and absolutely wonderful and beautifully presented. The service was excellent as well, with attentive staff who made sure every need was met. I highly recommend this place for an unforgettable Turkish culinary journey!
