Very good quality food, well presented, good selection for a full English breakfast. Choice of eggs I had poached they was spot on. Sausage and bacon quality was very good. Much to the disappointment of my son who was hopping for Richmond lol

We were staying in the hotel and decided to book a table for 7 pm we had read the reviews but thought we would take a chance. There were 12 tables in the restaurant and only 6 had people sitting at them. We were sat at our by 7 and at 7.15 we had to ask to order eventually staff took the order and told us there was likely to be a 30 minute delay as they only have 1 chef. At one point the chef was serving the food and there were 4 front of house staff who were just standing around. At 7.50 we spoke to the chef and asked her how long before our meals she asked what we had ordered and said that she didn’t recognise the order she went and checked and said that the order went though at 7.45. At 8.10 my husbands starter came out which was nice. At 8.30 our mains came out and I must say the food was good and my fish was very hot. Our desserts were the quickest to come out in 10 minutes. Other than the time delays everything else was very good the staff were friendly.

Avoid like the plaque. Food completely "plastic" you could just imagine the "boil in the bag" process.

On our first attempt here we recieved a fantastic welcome the two ladies told us they were new staff and they looked after us very well and food was good. We came back a few days later but was turned away by the lady at the desk who said it was too busy, We tried again on wednesday 15th and met the same lady who said again it was too busy but then called a colleague a young guy with a beard and asked him to clarify if we could or couldn't come in as she "didnt understand the booking system " this guy was great seated us immediately and engaged in conversation making us feel welcomed and once again the food was good

Restaurant is too small and simply does not cope. You can book when you check in but with such a limited capacity it simply can’t cope. Probably the worst thyme restaurant I’ve used. I hope I don’t have to come back. No tables until 8.30pm and I arrived at 5.30 and at 9.30pm I’m still waiting for my food!

I do not carry cash on me and because I paid before my meal I apologise for the lack of tip- But I think this is the best Premier Inn breakfast I’ve ever had. (I have eaten in over 10 different Premier Inn restaurants for breakfast) Roxana was very polite and she seated me without a wait. She kept an eye on my table to make sure she was available to take my order when I was ready and she let me know what additionals could be ordered from the kitchen (pancakes, crumpets, bagels etc). Food arrived swiftly (4-5 other tables occupied). The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, mushrooms weren’t sat in water or oil like I have experienced at other Premier Inns. Bacon cooked really well and the sausage was tasty (although rather small- but that’s not an issue when you can order more). The continental was at its normal standard with plenty of choice and well stocked. I also had some pancakes that were ordered through the waitress to the kitchen (they were perhaps freshly made) they came warm and were really fluffy and light- I find usually the premier Inn pancakes usually more dense and usually are found on the continental counter and then you have to ask for them to be heated (and then they are put in the microwave). The ones I had today had a much nicer texture! Roxana was nearby to offer assistance if needed. Overall a lovely breakfast and experience, much appreciated!

We ate breakfast here as we stayed at the hotel. We found the service chaotic especially as it was busy in the mornings. I think there were not enough staff. I also found the buffet to be disappointing. Things like croissants and other items would not be replenished for ages. Also people who wanted Quorn products were disappointed, as they had run out and no one knew when further supplies would come in. I like to think this is a glitch as normally I regard the Premier Inn breakfast very highly.

If you're staying at one of the low-end hotels along here and you don't want to walk in to Barking, this is actually the best place to eat. It's a small bar with a larger pub-style diner attached. The menu is OK, all the usual pub-type fare. I chose the Pesto Parcel chicken which was actually quite nice, as was the Berry-garnished cheesecake. All washed down with a Doom Bar, easier than walking to Barking or Wetherspoons in East Ham...

The restaurant is good (not "Very good", but better than "Average"). I had a nice steak and a really nice cheese board selection. Service was fine, everything was pleasant. I didn't expect much because the hotel is poor, so it was nice to see that some things were being done to Premier Inn standards.

We love this place. A well run clean hotel with free on site parking. Has its own bar and restaurant. The breakfast is either Continental or freshly cooked to order English breakfast. Comfortable and a good nights sleep guaranteed. We have visited this hotel many times and have enjoyed every one of our stays.

I have already reviewed this as part of my Premier Inn stay, so below is what I have already said...Avoid at all costs! Okay, the heating was broken when I visited and everyone was wearing jacks or even coats, but that can be easily fixed and is not the main reason for my poor review. On entering there were 3 tables of guests, as we had not booked we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, not an issue - until parties walked in 10 minutes after us, unbooked, and got seated immediately - they had obviously forgotten they told us to sit in the bar! There were only 2 members of staff operating a busy restaurant at this stage, juggling serving and seating quests and obviously getting very confused with each other. The chef even made an appearance to have to bring a table's food out!The food itself was appalling. Microwave food would be a compliment. I would not say the prices are reasonable either. £15 for the worst looking and tasting "rack of delicious bbq ribs" I have ever had or seen. I'm not expecting a top class meal in this restaurant but I've had nicer meals in a McDonald's!!

When staying at the adjacent hotel there is just this pub to eat in. The food is OK. The service is terrible.Expect waiting staff that are 'training'; they will take your order only to return in 10 minutes to ask "what was you drink?" I waited over 20 minutes for a drink from a bar populated with workman downing their '2 for the price of 1' pints of Stella during happy hour. Finally my drink and meal arrived together. I finished and asked for the bill, which was printed quickly and left on my table. This took a staggering 27 minutes to be paid with me resorting to waiving a credit card above my head to try and attract someone's attention.Later in the week (as you really will only eat once in this place if you're staying all week) I walked through Barking, had an Indian meal in a real restaurant and walked back in less time. This says it all, really.

My previous review of a Thyme restaurant was excellent so I had high expectations here.A disappointing start when the waitress "in training" struggled to speak English but we got by. The prawn cocktail starter was good although one prawn had a huge black vein which I left. There was no butter with the bread stick but otherwise it was fine.My mixed grill was perfect, everything cooked to perfection and piping hot.So, great food but put off with the tattood noisy drunkards in the bar and the bloke hammering six shades out of the vending machine.Otherwise OK

Stayed in the hotel next door. Came to eat twice, both times the food was good, the portion sizes good and the prices relatively inexpensive. We were occasionally confused by staff "in training" offering us random items with our meal, but overall it did not affect the overall dining experience.

We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant for dinner, after enjoying our breakfast there earlier. The staff member who served us was a trainee, and she struggled to take our order, taking many attempts to complete it. After an average wait, our childrens meals were brought out, and our meals quickly followed. My Salmon, unfortunately, had a very distinct black edging, and was too overcooked. This was brought to the attention of a team member, who took the meal away to be re-done. Meanwhile, my Husband noticed that his Salmon salad wasn't right also. The salad had been put in a very hot dish, and the advertised new potatoes and dressing were missing. The salmon was also hot, yet the menu stated that it was served cold. This meal was taken back to the kitchen also. After a lengthy wait, our meals were delivered. Mine was better, but my Husband could not believe that yet again, a piping hot bowl was used to house a salad. We asked to speak to the duty manager, and when she came to the table, we made our points clear. We found her to be very abrupt, and slightly dismissive about what we had found wrong with the meals. We did eventually have all meals taken from the bill, but the evening was soured, particularly since we then endured a three hour drive home afterwards! We would stay at the hotel again, and have breakfast, but would definitely eat out somewhere else for dinner!!
