Prezzo York in York

The six of us (3 couples) finally met up for a long awaited get together at the end of Lockdown, and enjoyed a terrific afternoon, thanks to a combination of outstanding friendly, and prompt service from the Manager James and his highly professional Prezzo team. Great company, excellent food and drink, outstanding service, and a very generous welcoming discount! What more could we ask for? Will we visit again? Just try stopping us!

Myself and boyfriend have visited this prezzo on numerous occasions and always find the food never disappoints! It was our first choice post lockdown. Didn’t manage to catch our waiters name but was served by a lovely gentleman who was very attentive and stopped to chat to us about travelling in Poland and his hometown too. Would recommend!

Me and my partner live a short work away from this Prezzo and we go all the time. Service is always fantastic, food is always great and the staff are always friendly and very welcoming. Very covid safe too!

Excellent welcome by the manager at the door, greeted and in depth detail provided of covid measures in place. Shown to table where food was of good standard and provided quickly.As said in the last review service provided by Georgia was first class.By time I was leaving there was a lengthy queue suggesting this is a decent place to eat.

Mi compañero y yo vinimos para una comida de aniversario de último minuto después de habernos decepcionado en otro lugar, nos recibieron en la puerta todas las reglas de Covid explicadas y muy bien pensadas. Nuestra camarera, Georgia, fue una de las personas más agradables que creo que hemos conocido en el servicio al cliente, era simplemente una buena persona con quien tenerla y nada era un problema para ella. La comida era deliciosa y fresca y mucho mejor de lo que esperábamos. El restaurante y los baños estaban muy limpios. Al final de nuestra comida, cuando Georgia trajo nuestra factura, también trajo dos limoncello gratis para que celebremos nuestro aniversario y también habían comprado el cóctel que yo tenía. Fue una velada encantadora y estoy muy agradecido por el esfuerzo realizado por todo el personal, especialmente Georgia, para hacer que nuestra velada sea especial en estos tiempos tan extraños.

Estuvimos alojados en York durante tres días y visitamos la zona sin saber que Prezzo estaba allí. Por suerte, llegamos sin reservar, no habíamos estado en Prezzo durante mucho tiempo. La camarera Iona fue muy amable y no nos apresuró de ninguna manera. Recomendaría este Prezzo.

Visitamos por primera vez desde que se levantaron las restricciones de Covid. Las precauciones de Covid eran buenas. Habíamos comprado un vale de compra para un menú fijo. Habiendo visto el menú en línea de antemano, sabía que había suficientes opciones para nosotros.Sin embargo, cuando pedimos nos dijeron que 2 de las 3 opciones de entrada no estaban disponibles, dejando solo pan de ajo. De Verdad? La mayoría de las personas en el lugar probablemente usaban cupones, así que obtenga los niveles de existencias correctos. Pregunté si podíamos elegir entre los entrantes del menú a la carta y después de unos 10 minutos dijeron que podíamos. Desafortunadamente para mi esposo vegetariano, no había más entrantes vegetarianos en ese menú, por lo que la elección se limitó al pan de ajo.Llegaron los entrantes y el mío se equivocó. Reservamos con 24 horas de anticipación para una familia de cuatro, se nos informó sobre las reglas integrales de COVID 19 a la llegada y se nos informó que no tenían mozzarella frita crujiente como entrante, lo cual fue decepcionante, mientras que el servicio fue oportuno después de realizar nuestros pedidos. Mi esposa pidió la panceta y el prosciutto que se quitaran de su plato, pero también quitaron el pollo que se requería, reemplazaron el pollo cuando se les solicitó. Los niños estaban decepcionados de que no hubiera una opción para tener helado para el pudín. Con un menú restringido, hubiera esperado que todo en el menú estuviera disponible. Encantador restaurante, que claramente se está tomando en serio las precauciones de COVID, ya que todos los sistemas se explicaron a la llegada. El restaurante era encantador y limpio, con un gran ambiente. Había muchas opciones en el menú, incluidos platos sin gluten. El equipo también fue muy educado y amable, especialmente nuestro servidor Josh, Pasquale y el gerente James, quienes vinieron a tomar el pedido sin gluten.

Vine aquí con mi hija después de un viaje al cine. Estaba bastante ocupado, y tuvimos que esperar un rato para que nos tomaran nuestro pedido, pero el personal fue amable y servicial. Mi hija comió la pizza de hongos que tenía una corteza muy dura y también fue bastante difícil cortar la base de la pizza, aunque deberíamos haber pedido un cuchillo más afilado en retrospectiva. Probé un poco y, para ser honesto, pensé que era un poco insípido y masticable, aunque ella pensó que estaba bien. ¿Volvería? Para ser honesto, probablemente no.

Reservamos una mesa a la que llegamos a tiempo. Nos dejaron holgazaneando en la puerta muy cerca de otros comensales, lo que no pudo haber sido agradable para ellos. Una mujer con niños llegó poco después de nosotros y se vio obligada a esperar afuera. Finalmente, nos dijeron que nuestra mesa estaba siendo desinfectada, y finalmente nos llevaron a un reservado. Cuando llegamos me horroricé al ver los asientos cubiertos de trozos de comida. Pedí algo para limpiarlo y me encontré con una respuesta muy descarada y nos acompañaron muy estridentemente a otra mesa. El piso del inodoro estaba completamente mojado (y no por la limpieza), y no había toallas de papel, solo un secador de pelo patético al que renuncié y usé mis pantalones. Apenas higiénico. La comida estaba lejos de ser excelente, pero bastante cara. Está claro que el restaurante ha hecho un esfuerzo decente por limpiar y mantener a los clientes separados, pero tienen mucho que aprender. Al igual que el personal cuando se trata de hacer que los clientes se sientan bienvenidos. Nunca he comido en Prezzo antes y nunca volveré a comer.

From the very start, the service here was impeccable - friendly, efficient and well-trained. Shame the food was so dire. We both started with fried calamari, which was OK but a bit soggy and very salty. My wife had the vegetarian bolognese, which was edible but not a patch on the lentil version we cook at home or the one that is served in another Italian restaurant chain. My Mushroom, Olive and Rocket pizza looked like a clown's shoe when it arrived and had a taste to match. The dough was wafer thin and dry as a bone, as was the rest of the pizza. There was a thin layer of dry tomato paste, topped with an almost invisible layer of mozzarella, a few thin slices of mushroom (probably less than one mushroom) and six olives. The only good part was a reasonable sprinkling of rocket. It was definitely one of the worst pizzas I've had in a restaurant for a long time, and at over £13 for the large (?) size was a total travesty. Luckily we got £19 off the bill in the government's eat out scheme, otherwise it would have been sent back.

Visited Prezzo a while back on a trip to York, was served by a lovely young lady named Lily! She gave us Absolutely exceptional service And went above and beyond to make our trip to prezzo as good as it could be! She’s an absolute credit to your work force! Well done lily thank you so much. We will be back!

I have missed going to Prezzo with friends and i am sad to write this review went to Prezzo with friends on the 20/08/2020 sadly we had the meal was ok BUT we were told no cash allowed only card accept we did it this time as we had little choice but this will now stop us returning as we all feel freedom of choice yes we have Covid 19 but not taking cash is really not good at all been told and controlled is not good either there is enough control with Covid with taking yet other freedom of rights away from us so we will not be returning until Prezzo change there payment methods ...

visited for a meal with my son. They still, seemed to be getting 6o grips with the new system. Waited about 10 mins and showed to a table. Staff seemed to working hard. We were served by Lilly H who was friendly and attentive. One kids meal of dough balls and carbonara which could have done with more sauce. I had pizza which was nice. Not a huge choice ofdeserts no ice cream

We got greeted by this blonde waiter boy named Daniel, lovely way to start, showed us to our table and adhered to the social distance guidelines. Was in a bad mood when we came in but his charisma and charm really brightened up the mood. He did very well explaining what he recommended. Even another waitress Ayona was being welcoming and she commented on her own personal experience on the food, really set the tone. We’ve always had issue with bad waitering staff not really caring for the customer but those two really made the evening much better. Unfortunate that the food didn’t live up to the hospitality

Always book for Saturday and Sunday lunch time it gets busy and people are often turned away. Good food for a chain. It’s always understaffed and boy do they work hard.

Lovely food. Pizzas were tasty and authentic. Very friendly service, but a little slow at times. Don’t go when you’re starving or short of time as you will have to be patient! Overall a good experience and I would return.

We had a very enjoyable meal at Prezzo on a busy Saturday night where the place was full. We were seated quickly and our orders where taken quickly. The staff worked very hard and were extremely efficient. The food was excellent and was especially good value with the £30 3 course meal for two with wine offer we had. Will return!

Me and my husband arrived having not booked (Thursday night). We were seated and told that food would take 30 minutes. Not a problem we weren’t in a rush and wanted to have a drink and nibbles and enjoy our meal. Service was good and we didn’t really notice any delay in food coming out. We shared the hummus, I had a salad and my husband the Gorgonzola pasta which were both very tasty. At the end of the meal I mentioned that we needed to leave to get to the cinema and the bill was brought over straight away, we paid up and left. All in all a very nice meal. We will be back!

Visited with my husband tonight before cinema plans. We arrived well over an hour before .. ordered starters and mains. Stuffed mushrooms were very bland. Edible due to the sauce that arrives with it. Had to ask for the bill alongside the mains due to our film starting 10 mins before asking. My main (pizza ) was lovely but had one slice and had to have it boxed to take away as we waited to long. The gentleman who served us was very pleasant however as wl as the lady who greeted us. If they could get the meals out quicker I'm sure all would be better. I noticed the couple next to us ask how long their food was going to be too. Didn't ruin our evening but had to rush due to slow service.

Went as a party of just 3 on a Friday evening on the 10th January for my daughters 19th birthday but the evening was a big disappointment. Served mainly by a gentleman which appeared to be the manager and was shocked at how miserable he was and the other staff on duty. Throughout the whole evening he managed a break a very short and brief smile once and we never saw any of the other staff smiling. I gave the manager a big smile when walking pass him to the toilets and he just looked through me. The food wasn't particularly brilliant and they had run out of certain items on the menu. We were asked if we wanted out bill and when we said no we would like to look at the desert menu and order something we got got a look as though we were asking for the earth. A girl had spent the entire time while we were there cleaning down the coffee machine behind the bar so daren't ask for after dinner coffee. All in all we were made to feel unwelcome. How disappointed we were!!

We went in a group of 10 with my colleagues and the food was awful as it was cold. It was not served to all together. Service was slow like hell.Three of us has dessert sticky toffee pudding which was microwaved and ice cream was the worst I have ever had. The price was £6.20.

Ready to relax after shopping, my friend and I visited Prezzo where we enjoyed a lovely lunch in a calm, relaxing environment. Large Pizza and salad to share did the trick and it was very tasty and enjoyable. The service was efficient and professional and we would certainly return again.

We went for a family Christmas Eve treat. It didn't start well. We were a party of 9, when our waiter had taken the order, we asked him a question about one of the items he accidentally deleted the order, so we had to start over again! We did have an looooong wait, luckily the children were occupied with the colouring, we noticed other parties leaving the restaurant not having eaten. We were eventually served some of our starters, but all with burnt pitta bread and my daughter's pitta had garlic butter on it which she had not ordered and could not eat as she is vegan. When brought this fact to the attention of another waiter we were served more burnt pitta bread, then told the restaurant was closing as the chef had walked out, the young staff were very apologetic but perhaps this was for the Manager to sort out but sadly the only time we saw the Manager was upset outside the restaurant which was concerning, but perhaps we would have felt the same in the circumstances.It was such a shame as previously we have had positive experiences of this branch, but will not be returning.

Booked a table for 4 people at 6.30 but it was over an hour later by the time we had been served. The kitchen just didn’t seem to be able to get the meals out fast enough and the manager was turning people away at the door due to the poor service time. I actually complained and was given a free round of drinks but I would sooner have been served faster. As a result we didn’t bother risking a sweet course. I am not sure if all branches are the same but I certainly can’t recommend the YORK Vangarde branch.

We had a booking for Christmas Eve. The waiter was very slow in taking our order then when we asked to clarify something he deleted the whole order and had to start again. We waited an unacceptable amount of time before one starter arrived (we were a party of 9)- hummus with burnt flatbread. The next 2 hummus arrived with much less bread but also burnt. My niece had garlic bread instead of flatbread and it was also burnt. She is vegan. Then we noticed people walking out before ordering as they’d not been seen to. Then the staff started going to the tables to tell diners that the chef had walked out and they were closing the restaurant. The manager failed to tell us this instead getting his young staff to do so. It should have been his responsibility. They apologised but it was a dismal experience. We’ve been to Prezzo for a few Christmas eves but this will be the last. It was clearly understaffed but the poor staff were probably paid peanuts to work on Christmas Eve hence the very poor service. Head office needs to sort this out.

Visited for a late lunch with the hubby and three children after a cinema visit. Didn’t book and when we walked in, it took a little while for anyone to acknowledge us, but we were shown to one of the few remaining tables.

Hi me and my girlfriend visited you on New Year’s Eve at approximately 12pm. I understand you were in a rush as you had customers waiting for food, however that is no excuse for not cooking your fish properly, as I’ve suffered the following day.

Just wanting a quick meal mid-afternoon on Christmas Eve, we chose Prezzo Vanguard Centre, York.

We went as a family for Christmas Eve and had wrong orders, burnt orders and ultimately told that the chef had walked out and the restaurant had to close. Safe to say we will never be returning to Prezzo.

First every visit to Prezzo. The restaurant was freezing!! So cold the food almost instantly turned cold. Spoke to the waitress about it who said there was a problem which is why it was so cold. She said she'd get the manager out to explain - he never came out. Another customer came up to us commenting on how cold it was, she said she spoke to the manager who denied there was a problem and that he was a bit rude, so maybe it was a good job he didn't come over to speak to us. Not really a very good experience and won't be recommending Prezzo to anyone.

I visited as a party of seven for a work Christmas lunch. I had booked a table well in advance. This wasn’t ready on our arrival but only took a short time to get sorted.

We recently took our grandchildren here for lunch - the table had been booked. Drinks arrived quite quickly but after 25 mins had to go and search for a waiter to take our order. Eventually it arrived and after a very long wait our main course appeared. Even the man at the next table commented on the fact they had arrived after us but been served before us.The children were so fed up - after I hr 45 mins they did not want to stay for their dessert. Thank goodness they are well behaved. I have taken them here before and service was also bad and my daughter has had a similar experience at this place. Needless to say will not be going back which is a shame as enjoy the food. What should have been a pleasurable experience was spoilt

Just had a soggy pizza and the worse Camacho on the planet don’t these people ever taste what they cook Am going to costa next door for a coffe

Visited Prezzo at Vanguard with family.

Did some shopping in Vangarde centre in early evening easy to park and shops not overcrowed. Met up in Prezzo with friend visiting York. We have a nice table and service was prompt and consiterate when we asked for more timexpensive. Food and wine looked good and was hot and tasty. Sweets nice as was winestablished and cofees. Waiter had time for a bit of banter which we enjoyed. All good nothing to complain about

Called in fab food reasonable price as we had a money off voucher only down side was. 45 min wait for the food but we were told about that before we sat down !

We arrived 10 minutes after opening time, only to be greeted & informed that they wouldn't be opening for another 20 minutes due to the kitchen not being ready. We went for a look around a couple of shops & returned 30 minutes later, only to be told that there was a 15-20 minute wait for food!

Wow, did we eat in a different restaurant to the recent reviewees? We had pre-booked and the restaurant was extremely busy. The 3 servers worked so hard throughout. Our order was taken promptly and all food was delicious and served without delay. We have eaten in many Prezzo's and this one is rated right up at the top. Perfect starters, pizza, desserts and drinks all served with a smile. Recommended and we will definitely choose this Prezzo when visiting again!

Fuimos a almorzar ayer. Cuando llegamos, solo había otras 3 mesas con invitados. Después de estar sentado, pasaron casi 20 minutos antes de que alguien viniera a tomar nuestro pedido. Pedimos nuestras bebidas y una jarra de agua, para lo cual llegaron los vasos adicionales pero la jarra no vino. Los entrantes tomaron un tiempo y estuvieron bien, pero luego nos dejaron esperar casi 45 minutos para nuestro próximo curso. En ningún momento ningún personal vino a contarnos lo que estaba sucediendo, todo el lugar parecía estar en caos. Lo que debería haber sido un almuerzo rápido se convirtió en un maratón de 2 horas en un ambiente bastante desagradable donde otras mesas llegaron y se fueron sin ser servidas y otras personas llegaron a un restaurante medio vacío solo para que les dijeran que el lugar estaba completamente reservado y rechazado. El personal de la cocina estaba enojado y el personal de la mesa generalmente no sabía qué hacer. Hubiera esperado algún tipo de disculpa cuando nos fuimos, pero no había nada ofrecido y, aunque generalmente no me importa pagar 70 por el almuerzo, esta vez me molestó mucho. Como nota al margen, el restaurante de Monks Cross también está bastante sucio. Los pisos no están bien barridos, muchos de los accesorios y superficies decorativas tienen polvo y, aunque fuimos los primeros en nuestra mesa el sábado, tenía migajas y suciedad. Realmente decepcionado en general porque solemos comer en Prezzo en Hull street Stephen's, que es mucho mejor.

Realmente no puedo calificar este restaurante, pero tuve que poner 1 estrella ya que no está permitido poner ninguno. Una amiga hizo una reserva para 8 personas aproximadamente 2 semanas antes de nuestra visita propuesta anoche, recibió una llamada a la hora del almuerzo ayer para decir que se habían quedado sin pasta y que solo podían ofrecer pizza o ensalada. Increíble, qué restaurante italiano se queda sin pasta. ! ! !

Si pudiera dar 3. 5 estrellas lo haría. Muy buen servicio de mesa y buena selección de bebidas, es bueno tener a Peroni de barril para que Prezzo no lo haga.

Estábamos casi fuera de tiempo para disfrutar de nuestro bono Buyagift a la hora del almuerzo que proporciona 3 platos y una copa de vino por 15 cada uno.

Being a visitor to York, we were unsure where to dine. As we were staying to the north, we came across the Monks Cross retail park and decided to visit Prezzo. The restaurant is very airy and well appointed and the set menus offer a good choice.

Visited with two families. Turned away by an incredibly rude member of staff who was too lazy to offer us tables even though the restaurant was less than half full. Will not go back to a Prezzo. Avoid like the plague.

Poor service and food. Long wait. Order wrong. Staff couldn’t cope with busy time. Seemed like staff were not trained, not enough or not experienced enough. Manager seemed to be struggling with it all.

My husband ordered the stuffed mushrooms as a starter - what a joke - 6 stuffed button mushrooms costing £6.50.......over a £1 each.......

Arrived here at 7pm as group of 4 adults, the manager welcomed us and that's is where the customer service ended.

On her 17th birthday, my daughter wished her family meal in Prezzo, York. The restaurant was bisy for a Monday evening, but the food was terrible. To top it off, my main meal was teppid at best with a cold topping. Sent it back. Wont be coming back.

Situated just outside York and close the Monks Cross shopping area the Prezzo is on the Vangarde shopping area. Plenty of free parking with stores like M&S;, John Lewis and Next across from the Prezzo restaurant as well as Nando’s,Giraffe and other well known food outlets plus popular coffee chains. This restaurant is very smart,nicely placed tables,with smart table presentation. Extensive menu and the food I’ve eaten here has always been good with staff that can advise on the various dishes, my last visit was with a party of 6 and the service was slow due to a member of staff not turning in. The room is completely open and can be noisy. Great Italian food though.

Me and a few friends from work decided to go for food after we finished. Food was nice, however the duty manager was not polite at all. He didn’t know what he was doing, very rushed and spoke to other guests and staff members rudely. I won’t be back just because of him, made you feel uncomfortable. I feel sorry for the poor girls that work there and have to take orders from him. We asked for the bill but he forgot, so was waiting a while and when he took payment there was no conversation, he was constantly looking around at others and watching what everyone else was doing in the restaurant. Customer service skills are very poor

Lovely food and pleasant setting but visit totally spoilt by a duty manager clearly out of his depth.

Have often ate here without a problem, however what happened tonight was appalling. The lady in the bar knocked several glasses on the floor causing them to smash. Thankfully I had my 4 month child in my arms. Not once did any of the staff check to see if we were ok despite glass going into my shoes. Unfortunately this then happened again!! Glass even went into our pram. Then had to wait over 45 mins for or main course (pizza and pasta). Cant believe they didn't even try and take anything off the bill. Wont be coming back.

The service was really slow. We waited 20 mins just to get menus and then we had to ask for them. Food was really bland and my friend that doesn’t eat meet was given chicken on her salad. She sent it back and when she started eating the returned item found a small piece of chicken so they had just picked it off. Not good at all!!

Lovely staff and delicious food. The chicken, bacon and avocado salad is really good. Easy parking but beware of going over 4 hours if you also go shopping - you will get a fine.

Our visit was a Monday, early evening so not hugely busy however, the service was really quite slow. The waiter was nice but one of those situations where a drinks order was taken but 10 minutes later, we had to ask where the drinks were. Similar situation in respect of our food order, very long wait for the starter then again, long wait for the main course thereafter. Food was at best average and really, nothing that you could not make yourself at home, it was not of a standard that you would associate with being 'chef' prepared. Also, the internal of the restaurant was far too cold, the air conditioning was on to a ridiculous level so on a lovely day outside, they had it uncomfortably cold on the inside. The manager suggested he could not turn off the air conditioning which seems a nonsense as clearly, all systems whether heating or cooling can be turned on or off. The temperature may have been OK for the employees who are moving around, but it was not OK to sit and eat in and we noted a few people putting cardigans on etc. Overall, disappointed.

Called for an evening meal with our grandkids and had a fantastic time. The meal was superb and the young waiter serving us was terrific, very attentive and polite and very efficient. A very pleasant experience.

We decided to eat at Prezzo and we were very pleasantly surprised. The food, service and ambience was lovely.

such a bad experience never going back sat there for 1 hour waiting for food and when it finally came it was raw and had chicken in it which wasn’t supposed to be there.

Very slow, 2 hours for a “quick lunch”. Please remove the 3 courses from the kids menu. It just means a long wait for their starter, you eventually get the main courses, then you have a long wait to get service to order their desert. Which is bread and Nutella, that unbelievably took 20 minutes to make. Feeling drained, won’t be back

Visited here Sunday evening with my partner and Little girl.

Came here on the 11/7/19 for some dinner after being many times with no problems. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and saw one specific waitress running around silly looking clueless as anything. After we ordered our starters arrived within 5 minutes, even before our drinks.. These I must say were delicious. After our starters, we waited 45 minutes to still have no mains arrive. The one chef that was on seemed to be doing very little so we asked the clueless waitress as to where our food was. We then discovered that she had FORGOTTEN to put our mains through. Meaning we then had to wait another 15 minutes for our food to finally arrive... Once food arrived, my burger bun was rock solid and fairly certain out of date from how stale it was, this got sent back and another 15 minutes were added for the wait of a fresh burger.

Had a Buy a Gift Voucher which I received as a gift and decided to try Prezzo.

Everytime my family and I visit this restaurant we are really impressed. The quality of the food is exceptional and the staff are so polite and attentive. The manager (guy in the paisley shirt) is really friendly and goes the extra mile with the diners - well done and thank you.

We came as a large group and the waiter got everything right, he was awesome. The food however was awful. The chicken and mushroom dish was rubbery, tasted burnt, and was one of the worst meals I've had out!

Visited yesterday evening, food was very good once it arrived and staff seemed nice. Service was too slow though, we waited nearly an hour for the food and no one seemed to be too fussed. Mixed feelings overall about this place.

We like Prezzo for a quick meet up with dependable food. The set meal option was excellent value and although we had a slight problem with our sea bass it was very quickly replaced without any fuss.

On arrival staff were excellent, orders taken and promptly delivered to tables, food excellent, lovely atmosphere very good value for money

The other week I went to prezzo at Vangarde and I rarely go as is a treat for me and can honestly say it definitely was!! Service was really good by a waitress called lily who made sure we was okay and the food was lovely Thankyou!

Popped in for lunch today and had a lovely lunch. The restaurant was busy when we arrived but we were seated quickly and drinks order taken. Customers continued to flow in but no one seemed to be hanging about for long. I was a bit worried having read some previous reviews however I cant fault the service and the food was great.

Having visited Prezzo many times over the years with family, the past 2 meals have been a let down. Yesterday’s food was average at best, drinks had to be sent back, and we received the wrong order for one dish. To top it off, the toilets were dirty & the toilet seat was on the floor. Shame as this used to be one of our favourite restaurants.

Nos gusta Prezzo, pero nuestras últimas 2 visitas (incluida una esta noche) han sido muy lentas. Casi 2 horas de principio a fin. Cada pequeño paso parecía demorar más de lo debido por esperar menús, bebidas, comida, platos que debían limpiarse, etc. Podíamos ver nuestras bebidas sentadas en una bandeja en el bar, pero tardaron mucho en traerlas. Pudimos ver nuestra comida sentada en el paso enfriándose pero tardó varios minutos en llegar. Uno de nuestro grupo pidió algo que no tenían pero no le pidieron una alternativa por 20 minutos después de haberlo pedido. Tuve que pedir nuestros entrantes porque los niños habían terminado el suyo y el nuestro no había llegado. Tuve que pedir menús de postres porque nadie vino después de que habíamos terminado nuestros platos principales. Realmente decepcionado. No volveremos pronto.

Una hora por comida que podría cocinar en minutos es un poco embarazoso. Pasta y pizza. . . no es genial para el servicio

Had a few days in York for my husbands Birthday and called in after visiting the shops at Monks Cross. Wonderful experience.Staff really warm and friendly. Food excellent. Just a pity it is not close to where we live. Well done. 👍🍕😋

From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. Friendly helpful staff. Quick service very good food. Will definitely be going back, we all enjoyed the food and drink.

We visited Prezzo for lunch,it was wonderful.Our waiter Mario was very attentive ,the service was excellent.The food was good,we could not fault any thing,and we shall definitely be returning .A big thank you to Mario and his professional team .

Four of us visited in March 2019. We hadn't booked but it was quiet and we were taken to our table. A full 10 mins passed before a waiter came over to ask if we were ready to order drinks, we ordered them and also food at the same time as we were with children and did not want to stay late. We waited for what seemed like ages for the drinks after our children kept asking where they were. Nearly impossible to get anyone's attention as it was quiet and the staff seemed to have disappeared. After having arrived a full 30 mins earlier, we were just about to walk out when the starters arrived, still no sign of any drinks! I informed the waiter that I would not expect the food to arrive before any drinks and he just looked at me blankly, We decided to go as the whole experience was just very disappointing and the lack of anyone who cared was quite obvious. Certainly won't be going back

We waited a little too long to be seated, there seemed to be only one guy looking after the restaurant, bar and waiting on at the same time.

Had good service last time I came and times before that and loved it, unfortunately on Tuesday service was really slow, stopping us from ordering a dessert because we didn’t want to wait a long time for one. Also not a massive deal as I’m sure the waiter didn’t realise but the plate served with our garlic bread starter was dirty, had dried tomato sauce or bolegnese or something on the bottom.

Visited for late lunch during the week, the restaurant had around 6 tables occupied so I slightly confused on why the food was not so very warm...

Came here on a Saturday evening, was very busy biyt service was efficient. Food was nice and good selection

Lovely meal with my friend. Food fresh and tasty. Staff attentive. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Really liked the food choices. Bonus mercat meals 2 for 1 on meals.

A very nice and well presented lunch of Mediterranean vegetable pea fusilli with a salad bowl. Enrico was very attentive and pleasant.

As always the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was very busy, which is to be expected on a Friday evening.

There is always a warm welcome when we dine at Prezzo Vanguard York.The staff are friendly, the restaurant is clean,and the food is nicely presented.

We have been to a few Prezzos and thought this would be good place to go with our children whilst on a weekend in York. Unfortunately this was a bad choice. It was a Sunday night and not very busy (upstairs part not open), however service was very slow and had to wait a while for drinks and starters. And when the starters did come they also brought out our sons Calzone at the same time (which we asked to return and bring out with the other mains). The main courses were ok, although my wife’s risotto was only just done. To top it off they didn’t even have a banana for my daughters pudding (which was an option on the children’s menu). In the end my wife left with my daughter as it was now really late and I waited for my son’s pudding and then settled the bill. In all took 2 1/2 hours for a pretty standard pizza meal. Disappointing but maybe we just hit a bad night.

As usual this restaurant didn’t disappoint, the service was excellent the food as good as always and the ambiance,as in all of the chain, terrific, would recommend to anyone and will keep returning

Had a great meal with my family last Sunday, the young waitress with long dark hair was very welcoming and polite and the food was amazing, lovely environment, highly recommend

Fantastic food (delicious!) and service; great variety of gluten-free options (partnered with the UK Coeliac Association apparently). The only fault is that there was a heating problem in the toilets area, which meant that it was so cold you needed to actually wear a winter jacket, but you didn't know this until you got in there. Also, the water from the taps and the hand dryers must have worked from the same heating system as they were also freezing cold. So you went into arctic blasts and were blasted with more arctic blasts! But hopefully this was a temporary issue and has now been fixed! Fine in summer but not great in winter.

Service and the food were excellent, really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We've eaten here on a number of occasions and it's always nice

I have eaten here twice now in January. The first time with friends on a quiet lunchtime. I met with 3 friends who I hadn’t seen for months so we took a long time over our three courses - we were made to feel multiple times though that we were an inconvenience by taking so long over everything. A friend ordered the meat ravioli, when it arrived it was obviously fish. We explained to our waiter who said twice ‘no that is the meat’ eventually he listened to us and took it away before coming back to say the kitchen had made a mistake and would be sending the new one soon....no apology.

Lovely time, brilliant food! Service was great, especially the waitress who served us! She was a lovely young woman who I can tell will go far! Over all a brilliant time spent there! Side note: please bring back the pear and elderflower coolers! One thing, the toilets were a bit cold but absolutely no problem there, saving the turtles with the natural temperature! And finally, as the terminator would say: ‘I’ll be back’ ;)

I went to Prezzo thinking that it would be good but then when we got there, we ordered our starter and it came after half an hour. Then my pizza came after an hour but they messed it up. Hoping my dessert would be nice, I ordered but then they messed up that too! I complained to the manager and then he game me some money off my bill but then the waitresses kept saying backchatty words to me to try and get me to feel bad! Would never consider going there again when there is a Nando’s opposite ,which in future, I’ll go to instead!

I find prezzo very hit and miss anyway as I think it depends who is cooking and how busy
