Buffalo Pizza in York

Ordered from here a few times and every time they have been ok with swaping the tomato for cheese on a garlic bread but this time when they delivered it they got the driver to tell us that if we want cheese on a garlic bread to order the more expensive one that has fresh garlic, tomato & cheese on it but as I don't like fresh garlic or tomato on a garlic bread, I like garlic butter and cheese on it so why would I pay for something that I would need to take more off than just swaping tomato for cheese so with that been said I will not be ordering an other garlic bread from them. Other than that everything else was just as good as its always is

Friendly atmosphere every time we go in. We travel 1 hour from Leeds once a week for a pizza and we love it! Better than the the pizza shops in Leeds by mile. Would 100% recommend the new home made beef burgers!

Food came and was cold, mine looked like someone had sat on it. It was ok once I'd put it in the microwave. but shouldn't have to heat it up, Chicken kebab was a bit dry

Ordered while here for a weekend away. Order came missing a drink and dips we had paid for. Two bone dry kebabs when we had selected sauces and cheese and salad on one. Called to ask if they could rectify and I have never spoken to such an arrogant, disgusting company in my life. First called me a liar. Then told me everything missing was in a bag that must of been given to someone else. Then again I was lying as the man on the phone had apparently made the order himself. Asked them to resend as by the time extras arrived it would of been cold. They said they'd send 1 because it's not like we were going to eat 2 anyway. Then shouted at me to go to deliveroo to sort before I hung up. Unbelievable. People get things wrong and that's fine but the customer service was awful and put a dampner on my whole weekend here. If you're reading also very rude manager please see attached photos of kebabs as dry as your personality and tell me exactly what I was lying about

Driver was rude like he'd been stood outside for 15 minutes ringing my buzzer clearly lying.....sat in his car because it was raining and he didn't want to get wet ... Will not order here again!

REVIEW FROM EXPERIENCE OF THE RESTAURANT FROM 2017-2022 - Consistantly good pizza, well sauced, lots of cheese, reasonable prices, always delivered quickly, and very friendly staff. This was my favourite takeaway for the 5 years I lived in york. Also, they pass their cheesy chips through the grill to melt the cheese, which is a nice touch you don't often see. No complaints, I miss being able to order from here since moving away.

I've been ordering from Buffalo since they opened and their food always arrives hot and on time, good quality fresh food, I order my pizza well cooked as I prefer well done, which the owner knows, plus I love their coleslaw its delicious, as does my son, I can't say I've ever complained as the service is good staff are polite, the food is good and the prices are good to. The owner always asks how we are and is friendly it's nice to have that personal touch but there again we have been going there since it opened. I won't go anywhere else, if you get good service why would you go else where ???

Delicious pizzas: they taste fresher and less greasy than many other take aways.

Unclear order and waited over an hour for a re-delivery of food. Yes. A “second delivery” attempt as we as customer, were “wrong” for reading their menu (where it clearly doesn’t label peppers are on their meal deal pepperoni pizza). Slightly worrying as they said the pepperoni had peppers labelled on the individual pizzas but not, on the pepperoni pizza listed on the meal deal. Be very careful about slacking on menu information on your meal deals; for allergies sake at least! The pepperoni was soft and felt uncooked. Also, giving us back the same pizza (lukewarm, thanks!) an HOUR later is incredibly poor. The standard situation resolution would have been to have given us a fresh pizza, apologise for the misunderstanding in your website’s labelling and offered anything to help. We aren’t looking for trouble or being a rude customer; we just know the standard in nice takeaways. We shall not use your business again nor recommend.

I'm a regular and have been for a few years, always enjoyable food. The kebabs are never greasy, neither are the Pizzas.

Best chicken kebab in york! The owner Faz is a lovely bloke always very polite! Take no notice of the bad reviews. People are more inclined to leave a bad review as opposed to a good one. Great food great staff would highly recommend

Have been ordering from Buffalo for years and never thought to leave a review before now. Really surprised to see so many negative ones. I’ve never had a bad meal yet. The food is tasty and fresh. Delivery is unbelievably fast and the delivery guys are always lovely. I can’t believe the reviews that say the pizzas are frozen. They’re delicious and you can tell they’re freshly made.

Initially mixed up my phone number and so we missed the delivery, then when it finally came we were missing one of the orders. When I called, the person on the phone had an attitude about sending someone out to fix the order.

Missing items from order was told they'd deliver the missing items but they never bothered . I am out of pocket because I've paid for items that have never been received. Although I have been charged.

Beautiful pizza's with plenty of toppings, my 1st time ordering & will definitely order again .... ok my 1st review !!! A year later & the service has gone downhill for me i had a chicken & mushroom delivered instead of chilli con carne (i hate mushrooms) i messaged them & got no answer... & last night was the last straw really undercooked pizza base , I've had the odd soggy pizza before but this actually made me feel sick & completely put me off from ordering again... sorry but im sure plenty of customers disagree & you've only lost 1 customer

Advertises discount for online orders but no discount at checkout ? informed Buffalo by email after placing my order but never got a reply. Tried again the following week but same problem., only this time wrong pizza. I took a couple of pictures and emailed Buffalo that they had sent the wrong pizza and that i had allergies and could they identify what they had sent.........again no reply !!

Over charge, short change, over charge short change. And the food isn't great either. More honest service from Armly prison!

Had numerous deliveries from here through both lockdowns, and when we were self isolating, and every one of them has been fantastic. The pizzas are great and the burgers are fab. Everything has always arrived piping hot and they employ the nicest delivery guys. I wish other food delivery places would be more like this place. There was only one time a meal was delivered a few hours early, but they took it back and made a fresh new one for the correct time with no problems at all. They’ve really made lockdown more bearable for us.

Sent garlic bread with cheese when ordered without cheese. Sent replacement after being rude on phone with partner. Demanded other one back and wouldn’t reimburse 3.50 back for one without cheese. Terrible food and bunch of clowns 🤡

Pizza and toppings tasted really fresh and stay open late (unlike most of the other restaurants in the area).

Ordered the Buffalo 3 deal online. That is included 3 different pizza's, some chips and a bottle of Pepsi. I ordered the spinach&mushroom pizza, vegetarian pizza and the cheese pizza... all of them were tasteless, it tasted all the same! And the chips were cold and soggy... will never order at this place again!

Ordered burger ( which was ok ) and cheesy chips. They were not fresh at all and the chips were very greasy ! Bit of a let down. Delivery man however is charming !

Just had my first takeaway from here! It won't be my last. It was delicious and delivered well before the time stated. We had pizzas, and they were so tasty and cooked to perfection. We will be back.

Sorry not very good frozen burger ,simple take away not great

I ordered a takeaway last night. It arrived wrong. I called back within 90 seconds of it arriving. I was told they couldn't remake it as it was closed. I asked if they could return my money I was also told no, I would have to wait for the manager. The next day I called up again, I was spoken to like dirt. Reluctantly they agreed to refund me in return for the uneaten food. Unfortunately my stepdad had eaten one slice while it was on the side (which if they had collected it when I called this would not have happened). Absolutely disgusting customer service.

I ordered a takeaway and it arrived in good time. I'd ordered a garlic bread but it came with tomato puree on it, not even a small amount but smothered in it. I then promptly called them (within 90 seconds of paying the driver) they stated they were closed which I was happy with. I then asked if the driver could return my money and collect the takeaway, I was told no they are closed and I would have to wait for the manager before the problem is fixed. So I'm now sat here at 11:40 pm with food I cannot eat and no money to order anything else. I've been at work all evening and was looking forward to a nice meal when I got home. I've not experienced service like this from any takeaway before.

Fried chicken is delicious. Other places I have been too have made me feel really sick after eating the chicken but not here, the chips are tasty as well.!!! The spicy chicken wings have just enough spice on to eat them without being too hot. Definitely recommend

Ordered food via Deliveroo. Despite there being an issue with address the restaurant did not contact us; when we rang after 45 minutes late (of delivery time which was already 45 minutes after original order) we were lied to telling us our order was on the way rather than telling us they weren’t sure of address. We phoned again after an hour late (an hour and 45 minutes from ordering) the woman on the phone was extremely rude and when asked to cancel the order and for a refund she actually hung up. Food was finally delivered an hour and a half later than originally stated. Completely disappointing!

Was told u don’t get free garlic bread it’s eithet that or 15% off it does not state this they missed an item off my order 40 mins later still not received spoke to like crap and made out I lied absolutely discusted AVOID

After recommendation we chose this place and we so wish we hadn't. After waiting an hour and 20 minutes, with countless phone calls to the shop to ask where it was, the food arrived just about warm. The chicken was dry, the garlic 'mayo' was sour as hell and the salad was browning at the edges. The garlic bread with tomato on came squashed too. We rang up to complain and the owner called us outright liars, saying he had never had a complaint in the 15 years they've been there. From looking on here you can see that can't be true!! Honestly avoid this place at all costs, it's overpriced anyway let alone when you get this food and service!!

Parmasan came with red chilli on instead of jalapeño a hand full of chips in the corner of the box.. Parmasanwas not very warm and out edge of if was very crispy and over done.

Pizza was very poor and under cooked, chips were soggy and they didn't deliver my bottle of coke. Nice delivery driver and on time just very poor food quality.

This place was spot on back in the day, today, wow! quite possibly the worst we have had from anywhere! Most of food was cold except for the pizza (which in honesty was nice, slightly ironic considering it was a freebie) chips were soggy, the kids couldn't eat theirs and even the cats didn't want the chicken! At least the delivery guy was nice and polite!

Pizza was amazing as always. I called up after making the order as I forgot to order garlic mayo dip and they gave me garlic yoghurt - was not very nice.

I keep going back to Buffalo, they will get it right, eventually. Yesterday my pizza was nice, but they dropped it. The topping were squashed to one side, the other side had barely any topping at all. And the can of drink was hot. Not cold. On my order before this, I added a Dr Pepper, which was pretty warm, so I thought I get a more popular brand next time I order. So ordered Coke, but that's still warm. I think I stop guessing and buy my drinks elsewhere. Maybe the coop next door. When I ask for chips spice, they barely put any on. The last two occasions when I ordered chips, it was well undercooked. So do I have to source my chips from elsewhere? I had an order a while ago, which was really good, but I don't know whether is down the chef on shift, or the standards have dropped, I haven't had an order recently which was spot on. There was always something fecked up. This place is close to where I live, I used to know Faz, the owner, I am a customer for years, but it seems this weird relationship will have to come to an end.

After ordering an 11" pizza and a portion of cheesy chips, I was told that my order would be 30-40 minutes, and that the order would cost me £12.60. After 55 minutes without yet receiving my order, I called and was told it would be another 15 minutes, out of disappointment I told them to forget it. Five minutes later, I had a call from the takeaway saying they would set off right away, that is if I still wanted it, to which I still declined (I imagine that my order would now be cold and soggy) I then check their menu to find that instead of my £12.60 order of an 11" pizza and chips, I could have "any 2 11" pizzas and 2 portions of chips for £13. Why wasn't I told this when ordering in the first place. What a rip off! Will not be ordering from buffalo pizza again!!! And to top it all off, I am still here starving! #Hangry is an understatement.

Ordered a Jacket Potato with Cheese and Bolognese Delivery was over half an hour late. I was informed of the delay, but I don't see how a jacket potato could take that long. Tasted ok, but was a bit greasy.

The pizza was really good and hot when it arrived, but sadly the garlic bread was cold and hard. The delivery time was 20 minutes before the estimated time too, so we were very happy with that! And the delivery driver was friendly. Would order from them again, just not the garlic bread.

There were no sauces with the kebab and it was really dry. The chips and chicken were re heated and didnt taste very good.

The mixed grill wrap is usually a 'go to' for me, but this time the chicken was very pink and it put me off altogether! I tried to take out all the chicken as I didn't trust the rest but just put me off the whole thing :( very disappointed with the wrap. Cheesy chips were fine and delivery was quick. Overall pretty sad my wrap went to waste...

Chicken to much salt when I am eat the chicken we are drink to much water sorry lovely next time you go put less salt please but I am the chef I know how to cook this my food to salt everthing alright I just complain the chicken thanks
