Not ordered In a while always loved. Tried chicken Parma no seasons or flavour of bechamel sauce. Pizza had so little tomato base and cheese on top That they’ve missed the memo of a take away treat

Food arrived late and was cold.

took 1.5 hours to arrive.. cold had to reheat everything

Ordered food came late and cold called the shop the person said take it up with the driver, driver turned up and walked off, turned up 2 hours later being aggressive to an elderly women to the point I had to ring the police, demanding payment again

my wrap was more or less donner meat.. I asked for mixed wrap, 2 pieces of chicken and 2 pieces of shish.. not enjoyable at all. I asked for salad and sauce and there was nothing there.. not impressed

Delivered but late, but did keep us updated via the app. Food was good, but they forgot part of our order (chips). Phone up to let them know, (coz accidents happen) were told they would sent out. However almost 2 hours later ....still no sign. Not great customer service, disappointed!

Maybe the best takeaway pizza we have had. All other places either dont do anchovies or say they do but then dont put them on. So fresh and tasty, garlic mushrooms done perfect not cheap breaded frozen stuff all fresh. Cant wait to order again

Really disappointed. From placing the order it took 2 1/2 hours to arrive and is barely warm. My partner couldn’t eat his so it went in the bin. I understand they were busy as we rang up after the first hour and a half as was reassured it would be with us within 15 minutes but it was another an hour. Don’t think we will be ordering from here again unfortunately

In 2024 this was by far the best takeaway of the year ! The foods fresh ! Tastes amazing ! Would recommend over anywhere else to be honest

not happy, it sais it was on way and then it had been delivered but it wasn't and then it changed again to say another 20 mins and it still wasnt here after that ... in total about 50 mins late with no explanation. and when food arrives it was poor

Parmo was overcooked and chips were not fresh.

Chips and onion rings were undercooked and the burger didn’t taste nice at all . I don’t normally leave reviews but the food went in the bin wouldn’t order again

Absolutely great pizza and dip which I would definitely order again! but don’t order the desserts.. the chocolate fudge cake was stale and had a musty smell to it which lingered after biting into it. Had to end up discarding the cake altogether. This shouldn’t discourage you buying the pizzas from here though

The food was very nice when it arrived.. but cold.. the donner calzone had no dinner meat in it which is a shame because the donner meat in the kebab was lovely !

Thank the Lord for Ali G's as York seems to close for food at 10pm on a Sunday.... had a Calzone and it was as good as any I've had, even in Italy, service was great, don't listen to the bad reviews, just go and try them for yourself.... A+

Genuinely one of the nicest takeaways i’ve had in a while :) Garlic bread was delicious and so so so good quality, burgers were beautiful, kebab was the nicest donner meat i’ve found in york since i’ve moved here, absolutely gorgeous 😻 Such good quality for price too, think i paid like 7 pound for the burger when i’m usually paying 9/10 pound for one half the size, absolutely amazing, will deffos be coming back here.

Delivery was great but the food was mediocre. Ordered a garlic bread and Kiev pizza which was bland and tasteless. The chips and chicken kebab were delicious though and the meat feast pizza was just alright. Overall wouldn’t go back.

Ordered through food Hub they accepted the order .... Hour n half later they said there was technical difficulty through the app at which point you guys could have contacted foodhub and not left your customer waiting 2 hours to have to contact food hub myself and be told you'd made up some lame excuse that the app malfunctioned ..... Useless straight to my ban list .

Hubo una larga espera, pero me dieron un kebab decente al final con carne más que suficiente por el precio. Mucha ensalada y una buena salsa de chile que no estaba demasiado picante.

pizzas were amazing! so much choice / toppings! chicken tenders were ok but not worth anything near a fiver. they were clearly previously frozen and really thin. would get a pizza again though!

Ordered 3 items, total cost of £22. Chicken kebab came and cost £7.50, was 5 chunks of chicken which was pretty poor I thought. The chicken and donner kebab wasn’t much better, at the cost of £8.50 - portion was pretty laughable. Have ordered from Ali Gs plenty of times and usually had no issues but this time it really wasn’t worth the money at all.

I ordered a kebab. Got 4 cubes of meat on a pitta and was charged £7+ for it. No chips! I also ordered garlic yogurt instead of Mayo, which I am allergic to. I sent a complaint and I’ve been ignored. I’m really upset and annoyed.

we were camping in the area and ordered from here 2 nights in a row and both times food was spot on would highly recommend

Order a doner parmo and didn’t get doner meaty with it

didn't know it was here. found it in the lobby. no attempt to ring my bell, cold donner meat isn't nice. why not call or ring the bell. I am sure it's not rocket science. I'm type 1 diabetic I really needed food

Vimos a Ali Gs cuando estábamos de camino para un día / noche en la bebida en York (primera visita, somos de Newcastle) y ambos dijimos que iremos aquí de camino a casa para la comida. Toda la noche nos sentamos y discutimos nuestro pedido y lo decepcionados que estaríamos si no fuera bueno... ¡¡guau fue la mejor comida para llevar que hemos tenido!! El personal era muy amable y se rió con nosotros. Honestamente podemos decir que la mejor comida para llevar que hemos tenido desearía que estuviera más cerca de casa!

Very good food and fast delivery earlier than expected

Prompt delivery, but bang average food. The sweet chilli sauce was good and the chicken was passable, but tiny flat chicken tenders, and the pizza was super smooth on the bottom, uncooked, it was weird . The cheese/tomato ingredients are cheap and tasteless. This genuinely used to be the best takeaway in York. Hope it gets back to that one day.

Best takeaway in York. Attitude was top draw. We ordered 3 large pizzas last night and specifically asked for deep pan. When it arrived in under 40 minutes we noticed they were thin pcrust pizzas. We aren't really a fan of thin base, so we called the takeaway and explained the situation, we were kind and curious to the staff, and without question they rectified the problem, and sent out 3 new pizzas in A very short space of time, and it's safe to say they were absolutely delicious. 5 stars for this spot. Never let us down 👍

We ordered the food for 5:25pm and said delivery not before that time. 5:35 the food still hasn’t arrived and we call the restaurant, to be told the driver will be there any moment. He didn’t arrive until 5:55pm. The food was stone cold, completely unacceptable, food was rubbery and cold and the burger doesn’t even come with salad. Wouldn’t recommend

This takeaway is open for late delivery and I was really impressed the food came at the time it did was still hot. The kebab was great value x 2 for £8 and was delicious. Pizza was ok and chips too. Thanks for coming out so late. Great service

Garlic mushrooms with cheese.. had 4 mushrooms in .. dips were spilled over the order so that was wasted too..

I eat pizza everyday, I've eaten pizza in nearly every takeaway and restaurant in York now. The chicken tikka pizza I received today was delicious, one of the best I've ever eaten. The dough was nice and fluffy the topping flavoursome and fresh, in hindsight I should have added tomatoes to it. The garlic sauce at Ali g's is especially delightful and superb value. Thank you very much, you guys made my day!

Stopping on rowntree Park site thought we would try here as within walking distance ordered 14in pizza ,chips and onion rings very welcoming staff and food was excellent will definitely use again when in the area

1 hour 40 for delivery after it was "out for delivery" in 30 minutes as you can imagine, 1 hour and 10 mins to get here unfortunately meant the food was clap cold

Dropped in on the passing as I fancied a pizza and it was the 5* rating in the window that made me stop and go in. Staff were friendly, polite and the prices were very fair. Would come back on my next visit to York.

Terrible - tried to place an order on the phone and the guy couldn’t understand my postcode and kept repeating it back wrong then his friend called me back and started the same bloody carry on. Makes me wonder if this is actually a real pizza place or something else. Had to cancel in the end. Useless

Awful pizza. Used to order from here and the pizzas were fine. Pizza was full of dough bubble & burn (at least 2 slices worth) and the ‘deep’ base was like 5mm MDF (pictured), dry and brittle. Barely any tomato sauce and the pepperoni was just weird - never used to be like this! £12.50 for the worst takeaway pizza I’ve had - and I’ve had many…

Very bad costumer service. Food tasted horrible Very dirty and unprofessional. Don’t ever eat here. Honestly I came back to the review after a day because I want to share more of my experience. Not only was the food horrible, I felt sick and wouldn’t stop burping for hours. The next few days my tummy did not feel good at all. This shop should be closed down

Garbage. I asked for a done kebab on naan bread and lots of chilli sauce to take away. When I got home it had no chilli sauce it was on a tortilla with chips I didn't ask for. The worst I've ever had with people who do not listen. Avoid.

I was so impressed by the service and quality of the pizza i had! The chef went out of his way to cater to my preferences and for the price i was more than happy with the quality of the pizza.
