Prezzo - Exmouth in East Devon

Exceptionally nice food and fantastic service by the staff. Not been here for a number of years. The standards have not dropped. Lovely staff and great service by all. You get what you pay for (except the exceptionally over priced drinks).

It took over half an hour for starters to turn up. Waitress realised we had not been served and checked her pad and was seen rushing to the kitchen with our order! Staff very busy having a conversation and didn't respond for a while to the bell to say the food was ready. Probably won't return as were not made to feel welcome from the onset,

For four years I have come to Exmouth, for four years I have gone to this Prezzo. The staff are lovely and the food is amazing. The parking is around is a little tight, you have the street (if there are spaces) or there is a car park opposite on the town hall. Worth going in for a meal if you’re visiting the area!

Very busy and noisy but food was served hot and was tasty

13 of us dined at Prezzo this evening for a family gathering. Emma looked after us and did a brilliant job in making our night out one to remember.

We had a large table of 14 of us and thanks to Emma we could not speak highly enough of the whole experience! Attentive, personable, quick service and delicious food. We had a lovely evening and a very big thanks to Emma!

I ordered Saltimbocca but what I got was nothing resembling one, a large over cooked jacket potato, a huge piece of seared cabbage, mainly stalk and two small flat hard bits of chicken with sage grated over the top. Also hard flakes of ham crumbled over it all , ugh, inedible!! The waitress said they got lots of complaints about the dish but it was not removed from the menu..... and I was charged for the awful experience too! Thanks Prezzo and goodbye .

Very friendly staff, good menu selection, nice decor. The only thing I think they could improve is some soft furnishings to absorb the inevitable restaurant noise better.

Fab meal here tonight. Marc was excellent serving! My 3 year old daughter had an accident in her knickers but the loos were spotless so again, excellent! When we are back in the area, we will definitely be back! Thanks again!

Slowest service I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. Came in as a party of 4 at 7pm with a reservation and got seated immediately, but it then took 20 minutes for our drinks and food order to be taken only after I flagged someone down after being fed up of politely waiting. The mains arrived at 8:15pm, so some of the party who didn’t order starters had to wait 75 minutes for their food. Didn’t get asked once about how our food was. No apologies or explanations for the wait. Basically ignored. This was on a random Thursday evening and we ordered basic pizza and pasta dishes. The food was ok, not special enough to warrant that wait.

Excellent friendly service received from Emmer and thank you for finding us a table when we walked in at 930 on a Saturday night ! Arincini was nice to start with and the carbonara tasted nice Clean restaurant with customer service that went above and beyond

First time eating at Prezzo and had an absolutely amazing meal! The restaurant was extremely clean and the food was really great, probably the best pizza I've ever had. All of the family said that their food was lovely. Could not fault it, and the table was waitressed by Emmer, who was extremely knowledgeable and attentive and made the evening. To top it off, I won a £50 gift card on their scratch card competition. Thank you so much for a lovely meal!

Had a lovely meal here. A very nice atmosphere, and the food was delicious.

We are locals and regular customers here, and we are always made to feel very welcome by the team, who work so well together, and go out of their way to make our evening special. The food is delicious, and I can fully recommend the garlic bread with mozzarella and balsamic onions, the crab and lobster ravioli and the Devon crab with spaghetti, which are all amazing. Special shout outs to Alexiane, Marc, Emmer and Oksana for amazing service!

Marc was amazing!!! In fact all the staff were on point today, we came down from London and I was pleasantly surprised at how good they are here compared to London!! Keep up the good standard guys!

We visited the restaurant last night. We ordered our food at 8:30 the starter arrived in about 15 minutes 10 minutes later our drinks arrived. We waited until 9:30 for our food. I asked what was the delay. We were told it’ll be ready in 5 minutes. Our food arrived. Wrong food delivered and the Calabrese pizza was raw and uncooked. By this time the gas for the oven was off and there appeared to be no chance of getting our food. We left our soft drinks and were told there was no charge for the coke, lemonade and the one starter. No offer of recompense was made only an apology. At that time of night it was too late to find anywhere else to eat so we ended up with nothing. What a waste of our time and it spoiled what was supposed to be a lovely evening on our own without kids. This was not a good experience and certainly won’t be back.

I love this Prezzo. Everything was on time and delivered with lovely friendly staff. The food was superb and even though we had a party of 17 they served everything as quickly as if it were just two of us. Definitely recommend. Keep up the great work Exmouth Prezzo team!

I’ve been on 2 occasions, both times pre booked. Once with a group of 9 and the next family on 3. On both occasions we where seated quickly service was great. Children's menu and crayons where given to the children. The food was tasty and we did not have to wait long. We will defo go again.

Previously here we have had a warm welcome and great service. Not so now. Went because we have had a really tough time recently and today was our anniversary. Was not the special experience we have had before. My meal was only luke warm - rather dangerous when it includes fish. They did apologise and redo the dish but that meant my partner was waiting for me - luckily it was lasagne which comes in a heat container - to be fair he said that dish was very good. When my replacement meal came out it was far better than the original plateful of food I had been offered. Makes you wonder if their meals are consistent. For example I had about 3 olives on my first dish- my replacement had loads and 2 different types. We were not offered parmesan with our meal, in fact the waitress immediately went to the other side of the restaurant after giving us our meal and I had to chase after her to tell her it was luke warm. Someone else brought us my replacement with a sincere apology and he offered us Parmesan which was when we realised the waitress had not. She didn't stick around to ask how the meal was either. When we had finished the waitress asked if we wanted dessert. We didn't as by then we were feeling rather fed up. So again she just left us. Staff just kept disappearing throughout the evening. We did not have the attentiveness from staff we usually do. Some time later after again being left, I went to the bar to pay only to be told by the man behind the bar that he would come over in a minute. I felt I had waited far long enough and stayed where I was, so he was forced to serve me the bill. It was a quiet night, so it wasn't even the fact that they were very busy that would explain the lack of service. Sadly we won't be returning. No idea what has happened, Prezzo Exmouth used to be really good.

Always have a nice meal here but my God has it got expensive, had a small half size caramelised onion garlic Bread to share for starters which was £8 and barely enough for one person , and all puddings were at least £8 each , evan with a 25% discount on voucher our meal was still £60 ish ,eating out really has become a luxury most cannot afford anymore , wont be going again for a long old time ,shame ,

Very lovely food & excellent service

Absolutely amazing meal here today for lunch. I haven't been to Prezzo for years and tbh was expecting a safe and uninteresting menu but I was very pleasantly surprised. All the food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We had the truffle burger and the Mushroom and Beratta Pinsa and both were so good. Compliments to the chef and the customer service. Kids loved the chips too.

Good food , pleasant staff, and competitively priced food for the area. Drink very expensive and around £1.50 to £2.00 more expensive per pint and bottle of beer than similar establishments. Bottle of Doombar ale £7.25 which is more expensive than the premium lagers on offer. This is the only reason I am giving a 3 out of 5 star reviews. Gratitude being asked for between 10 % and 30%, which, if given, could add an extra £15.00 to £20.00 to your bill.

We had a fabulous family evening meal here. All the food was delicious and arrived in a timely manner. One of our group had a food allergy and felt reassured that this was dealt with in a very efficient way. Special mention to Marcus, our server whose happy disposition and attention made for a delightful evening.

Excellent service and even better food. My fourth time coming to this Prezzo and every experience I have had has been perfect. On Monday I came for dinner with some friends after enjoying a day at the beach. For starters we shared the large caramelised balsamic onion & mozzarella garlic bread and a portion of breaded mozzarella. The spicy Calabrese ketchup served with the latter was exceptional. For mains, I had the tre carni calzone, my friends had the crab and lobster raviolli and the seabass and gnocci, and we also shared the tre gusti pizza. All were thoroughly enjoyed and absolutely delicious!! Unfortunately we were too stuffed for dessert, but we will definitely be back again soon as the food was delicious and served really quickly! Thank you to our lovely waiters whose names I regrettably didn't get (the gentleman who seated us and took our initial drinks orders, and the other young man who took care of us for the rest of our service). Both of you were fabulous -- helpful, very friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend this restaurant. Amazing food and staff.

Food is excellent.Vegan choices(an increasing rarity these days!).It is advisable to book in advance in the evenings.

Abysmal service. Food far away from anything you could call Italian. I had a weeding in my friend's Italian restaurant and OMG ..he would flipped if he saw what this people are serving in prezzo and dare to call it pizza or pasta. Just had a late lunch with my wife and that's the worst spent money I could imagine. A baguette and cheese with a bottle of juice from Tesco would have served me much better. For what they serve they should charge 1/4 of the price they want. Not recommend to anyone unless you hate yourself or you hate Italian cuisine.

Everything about our experience at Prezzo in Exmouth was positive. The service was great, the food was really tasty and in abundance. No small portions here. Also they have lots of online promotions to take advantage of such as two main meals for one. I'd highly recommend a visit, so much so we've visited again and enjoyed an equally great experience.

We enjoyed our meal at Exmouth Prezzo on a Sunday evening over the May bank holiday. We had a voucher for our children to eat free with each adult ordering a main course. I enjoyed my vegetarian Calzone and the Italian orange cheesecake was really nice too. The Trebbiano wine went down a treat! When we went at 5pm it was already busy and when we left after about an hour or so, there was quite a long queue of people waiting for seats so I’d suggest making a reservation.

Not keen on the smaller menu. Not much variety for different dishes. No chicken in different sauces.

We have been to Prezzo a few times and enjoyed the experience. Yesterday four of us went for Dinner. As we waited to check in the Maitre de couldn’t find our booking. We showed him an email confirming our booking but he insisted we had cancelled it - which we had not and he couldn’t substantiate his comment. After a bit of a wait we got a table. Service was slow and most of the staff were teenagers with little training.Prezzo had always had highly proficient start but I suspect they haved moved on Little had changed on the menu but the food quality was very good. I am meeting some friends in Prezzo next month and if their admin and service does not improve we will dine elsewhere

Booked late afternoon, midweek, v busy, with 2 grandchildren (9 + 6), usual menu with set menu for the the kids, v good pizza, pasta and chicken, reasonable price and out within an hour. Very good, enjoyed by all.

Service was great and the atmosphere was nice but the food was a little underwhelming, given how expensive it was.

What a wonderful clean restaurant as soon as you walk through the door the aroma invades your senses ! And the food was fantastic and plentiful I'd recommend it to anyone who is a lover of Italian food !

Outstanding service me and my partner received on Tuesday 27th February 2024 at 6:30pm the atmosphere was amazing service impeccable, attentiveness was really good, the waitresses looked after us they did, cannot fault the visit. I have been to Prezzo locally before (my partner & I are from Torbay) several years ago & was disappointed. Mainly thought the prices charged were much too high for the quantity and quality of the food. In 2023 we took a chance when we were in Exmouth as the Chinese restaurant we usually ate in was closed. However going to write about our experience in January 2023. It was lunch time and very quiet in Prezzo. The young woman on duty made our experience really good by being helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. There was so much choice on the menu. My partner had lasagne which he enjoyed. Good size portion, tasty and served hot. I had pasta with Devon crab and chilli. I asked if it would be very (chilli) hot and was advised I could have less chilli or no chilli. I went for the less chilli option. Good size portion, tasty and served hot. The food was served up in a reasonable time.

The staff were exceptional. So helpful. We had our RNLI meal there, 20 of us. Great night. 👌

Great place for a pizza but they also do really delicious pasta dishes such as lasagne and also tasty burgers.

Good location excellent staff but let down by cold plates and what appeared to be microwaved pre prepared cold food that I had to refuse to eat. The waiter quickly provided another meal in a hot plate but it was now tasteless hot mush. I tried to explain my meal had been spoilt by my first experience and I will not return.

Lovely food and reasonably priced. Our waitress, Emma, was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and her bubbly personality was infectious. A real credit to this organisation as you can't teach "people skills". They come naturally.

Thought we'd give it a try as we were having a pre Christmas break in Exmouth. Fantastic service from Emmer but poor value for money. Calamari starter £8.95, a very small portion Sea bass £18.95 which was good but advised to have a side dish with it which added another £4.55. Gorgonzola and Prosciutti pizza £16.95. Very expensive and not great. Peach and ginger soft drink £4.95 Poretti £6.95 a pint. This may explain why it was quiet just before Christmas, we noticed plenty of other restaurants in the town were busy with parties. We won't be returning, but have a lovely Christmas Emmer.

Best prezzo I've visited. Food, service and atmosphere all superb

Delivery. Not the best burger was nice but could be improved with more salad and a tomato . soggy chips may be to to do with the box they come in . However carbonara is very good. Overall not worth the Money for delivery. but probably a better experience eating in restaurant.so thought would try again but even worst in fact should ask for a refund order taken food 2 hours later however food had been left on hot plate chips like cardboard carbonara turned up over heated and brown on top clearly cooked and left on a hot plate burger cooked and left on hot plate as the bottom half of burger was basically toasted will be avoiding very disappointing 16 pounds for burger and fries would've got better from McDonald's 65 pounds cost in all if this is the standard of food the head chef is passing he or she needs to go back to cooking school very poor should be embarrassed 😳

One of the few places that seems to retain great front of house staff. Menu is typical chain restaurant stuff, wouldn't be hard to jazz it up a bit. Other than that, food is always great, whether in the restaurant or at home with takeaway.

My first visit to a prezzo. Loved it, great food lovely staff.

Bland. Calzone was all dough and very little filling, despite being advertised as packed with filling. Disappointing at best and that's with low expectations to start with. Not even worth the Tesco vouchers. Burgers looked and tasted good.

Good place to have some italian cuisine. Service was great but with a birthday party next table, it was very noisy. No Parking for the restaurant but can park 200m away on the road if you can find a place.

Good food and good service but the restaurant is a bit echoey. Difficult if you like to talk over dinner.

Waiter was really good. Friendly , happy, attentive, and efficient without being pushy. We commented (not complained) about one of our meals being a bit light on the chicken and he promptly went off and arranged for a reduction in the price. Food was absolutely delicious. Chicken arabbiata was a little light on the chicken (3 small pieces for £3) but this was addressed as I said above.

Visited here very recently. We had a baby with us and they were great helping us set up, really atentative staff. Food was also really good.

Prezzo is always a safe bet for a meal out if you like Italian. Staff were friendly, and the food was tasty.

We went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was very busy but luckily there was a table of 2 for us as we hadn’t booked. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely brilliant. I haven’t been to Exmouth Prezzo for many years however I’ll certainly be back soon as I was very impressed with the food and the excellent service!

Could I fault the meal we had today, could I fault the service, could I fault anything...no! Our waitress was spot on! Treated us like the only people in there! Food was just delicious! Thank you for a great experience!

We visit Prezzo in Exmouth every week, as we love the food and service here. The team are so friendly and efficient and they always make us feel welcome. Food is always served quickly and is piping hot. There are so many delicious meals on the menu, that I always find it hard to choose! I recommend the garlic flatbread with balsamic onions and mozzarella for starters, and for mains, the crab and lobster ravioli is my favourite; I also love the crab spaghetti and the Marsala chicken. The truffle fries are to die for!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Range of pizza choice isn't full but our order was delicious. Great menu for children and table activity.

Went to this restaurant twice in three days, it was that good. From the welcome upon arrival, the overall ambience, great food and reasonably priced wine. The servers were very attentive, not in your face and very efficient too. Both evening were of a high standard and we were very pleased we made the initial choice and then the return visit a couple of days later. Would highly recommend eating here. We will be back next year.

Couldn’t really fault this for a high street chain brand. Service was swift and friendly, food was very tasty as were the sodas. A nice surprise.

£7 a pint of Poretti! The beer reduced to clear at Tesco. What a joke, pizza was okay (Ham mushroom and Marscapone) and bruschetta was NOT bruschetta, good but not what bruschetta is meant to be. The only redeeming factor was Josh, what a attentive polite young lad, pretty sure he should be at better places than Prezzo.

We had a nice time as a family. Very welcoming crew working there. Food is not just Italian food but beyond. Coming from an Italian family, the food I ate in Prezzo took me back to my childhood, full of flavour. Also they got kids menu where they can pick and write down what they want, making the ordering for parents much easier! Every detail taken care of. They wont rest until you are served and happy. Thank you all! (We were a family of 5 sitting in the rounded table next to the entrance).
