Pret A Manger in Thurrock

The coffee shop was easy to find. Comfortable seating outside the store. Service was excellent and the staff friendly. It was a good location to catch up and have a chat.

I called up the store up yesterday to order business lunch as it was unavailable to do it online. Needed sandwiches platter and sweet platter up to maximum 10 peoples. The manager name (Andzelika) of the store I spoke to over the phone dealt with my query and took the orders. Then I wanted to collect the order next day 9am. She manage to deliver everything I asked for to the best standard. It was well made and so tasty. I Just cant believe how good she was and got it ready at such short notice. She was very helpful and kind. Really pleased with the service and will definitely be returning and highly recommend Andzelika (Manager) in Pret. Alongside the counter assistant was also friendly too. Thanks again for your help! Much appreciated! :)

I love to sit and people watch here. The food is very good and fresh, the coffee is excellent and the own brand ginger beer is fabulous.

Took my dad for a lovely vegan lunch and was given a free taster of a cake I wasn't sure of. Very nice food. Friendly service.

Best coffee at Lakeside Thurrock. Lovely Crusty Baguettes with good filling. Friendly helpful staff. However, sometimes difficult to get a table as a lot of people use it as an office taking up a table meant for four with the laptops, sit there for a long time with just a coffee.

One of my fav places for breakfast lunch or for a coffee. After a first visit back Lakeside after a long time it was nice to see some new places to eat. After my Costa review at Lakeside I wanted to add the friendly manner and of course the good food at Pret just across from Costa at the House of Fraser end. Good size which has outdoor seating in the shopping centre. Just a pity there are no Pret in Colchester! Still love going at work and across the South East.

Pop to lakeside to do a bit of shopping after we finished we popped into pret for a nice cup of coffee and a fresh bagett. You can always trust pret for nice fresh food

Went here with a couple of friends for lunch whilst shopping. We had the salad with salmon and sushi rice and various small salads - it was really tasty. Even though it didn't look overly big for £4.85, it filled me up. They charge an extra £1 to sit in and eat, which I think is a bit steep

Had my favourite hummus wrap. None on display so assistant had one made for me. Food always fresh and good quality.

Visited whilst at Bluewater shopping and as usual Pret did not disappoint. Good food and coffee very reasonably priced and never let's you down.

This coffee shop is a great pit stop for lunch or a coffee break from shopping!! the fast foods fresh and welcoming!! there's plenty of comfortable chairs and clean tables, friendly staff, good service, easy to find on the ground floor by Army & Navy. We always use this place for lunch or a quick break, when we go shopping at lakeside and haven't been disappointed yet, Thanks and enjoy as we always do. BM

Popped in for a bit of lunch whilst shopping. As always with pret the food was every good. We had the crayfish and avocado salad and the hot spicy chicken wrap. Our only complaint on this occasion was that the cold drinks were not cold. They had obviously only shocked the fridge because all the bottles of water were warm. This however would not put us of returning.

Excellent place to get your coffee and breakfast fix to start your day or a pick me up to keep you going. The staff, particularly Maame & Othame go out of their way to make sure customers are cared for.

The queuing was a little chaotic. This is a nice place to stop and have coffee and cake and the staff are friendly, albeit on occasions rushed off their feet. Until the weather is much warmer, take suitable accessories to sit outside, if that is what you want to do - the views are lovely.

Después de un día de compras paramos aquí para té y pasteles. Sirven un excelente gran taza de té aquí y las tartas son deliciosos. Recomendamos pegajosa toffee y pecan o mandarin y pistacho. Definitivamente volveré de nuevo.

Buen restaurante ubicado con una cantidad de 'fuera' de descanso. Habituales fiable gama de comida desayunos y bebidas. Personal amable y servicial, y a un precio razonable.

Un salto para un almuerzo rápido mientras compras en el lago. Como siempre con buena selección de sándwiches pret ensaladas, etc. aunque la opción de calor envuelve fue decepcionante, ya que sólo tenían un vegetariano. La comida era excelente y nos diría que la mejor comida en cualquiera de las cadenas de café alrededor. Rápido personal simpático y limpio los alrededores.

Whilst on a visit to Lakeside we decided to have a coffee in Pret A Manger. Pret A Manger can be found next to House of Fraser. Staff served us with a smile, it was clean and tidy. They have a small selection of food including cakes,. The coffee was all we wanted and at 99p a cup of filter coffee (good size) you cannot go wrong. Just as important as we only drink black coffee it was a full cup. This in itself was great as in many places, we normally have to for extra hot water to make it a full cup. We will visit again.

Always a safe bet to get a good sandwich and a drink away from the bustling food hall. Good value and a good selection.

Well positioned on the ground floor close to House of Fraser. Large seating area and the usual range of Pret food / drinks. The staff were friendly and dressed up in view of Halloween. You cannot fault the quality of the offering.

My husband and I go here twice a week and are always served by very happy and friendly staff! The coffee is the best in Lakeside, and yes, we've tried them all over the years! The tables are always cleared and cleaned and if you don't like you coffee, they will make another one to your taste! Superb service!

Love the sandwich range in pret a manger knock spots off marks and spencers!!!! I also love the spicy chicken soup fresh and healthy

Always a massive queue and no seats because idiots at the back of the queue seat-dive as soon as someone leaves. That seems to be the habit here. We never bother going here now. They never make my coffee how I ask. Even if I ask for a white filter coffee, don't fill it all the way to the top, they still fill it all the way to the top (so you spill it everywhere and can't even stir your sugar in) and there's barely any milk in there to call it a white coffee. They scare the coffee with the milk. Sometimes the coffee tastes stewed or burned. They used to have a good selection of sandwiches and baguettes (especially for someone like me with IBS) but I can't eat most of the things they put out on the shelf now. Not enough variety. Everything seems to have Rocket in it. I can't be bothered with it any more. We bought 2 giant chocolate chip cookies in there the other week and the chocolate chips had melted under the display lights and they also tasked over-cooked and greasy. Very unpleasant.

The Pret aa Manger is just the place to go to hae a good cup of coffee. The croisants are some of the best out there.The price is fair compared to all the other coffee shops.

Good food and reasonable prices . Like their choice of plain sandwiches ( no salad or sauces) which other places don't have. Preferred when they had a hot counter - now the pastries are not kept warm but still cafe of choice

Friendly staff, quick service, great easy food I go pretty much 2/3 times a week for lunch as I work local and you can't go wrong They get my coffee perfect and have such a wide selection of soups salads and sandwiches including special editions perfect for lunch or a pre shopping snack even quick dinner All staff helpful

Always Have the small tuna and cucumber baguette in here and it is consistently good. So is the almond croissant.

Always been a fan of Pret often pop in for a quick and healthy lunch or a naughty treat with a hot drink. The green tea and mocha drinks are my favourite. The quinoa bbq pulled pork are amazing! The staff are polite and very fast!

Lovely place to enjoy a quality coffee and sandwich. Staff are top notch with a great attitude. Good selection of toasties and cakes that are consistent in their quality.

Meet my cousin here regularly. Always choose the chicken, bacon and salad sandwich, it is delicious. Latte or a pot of tea is always good. Gets very busy and sometimes you have to wait for a seat, but doesn't take too long. Ideally placed next to The House of Fraser.Good value and nice friendly staff.

In at 8am for a bit of breakfast. Had a pain au raisin and skinny latte - good to have skimmed milk available. All nice, but would have been nicer to have more of a selection of breakfast foods - only 2 toasted sandwiches both with ham which is no good for a veggie, porridge and pastries. If open for breakfast, provide a goodly range of breakfast foods such as more non-meat toasted sandwiches.

After walking and some shopping we decided to have a coffee at Pret A Manger. Nice and clean, staff served us swiftly with a smile. We only wanted black coffee as we don't take milk, what a welcomed change! We got a full cup and not half cup. To make it even better the price paid and the taste were both excellent. Another place to go back to and recommend to friends and family.

Have been a few times. Staff friendly and very efficient.Prices good. The sushi is good as is their sandwiches and cake!

Great place to dtop off for a quick coffee & a bite to eat. Excellent filter coffee & wonderful almond croissants that are served fresh & warm. Very polite staff.

As expected. The food was the usual 100% quality and the staff were too. Visited last night and was pleasantly surprised at the excellent selection still available. 1st class.

Pret never fails to disappoint me. There's always something fresh, healthy and yummy. The staff in the Lakeside branch are friendly and helpful too.

If you need a quick snack or some good ready freshly made food this is the place , when we are in a rush and don't want to stop long we come here as we know what to expect. good variety and clean place

£1 filter coffee, you really can't go wrong! And I'm convinced that the Pret brownie's are are the nicest you can by in the whole of London!

Celui de FENCHURCH STREET EC3, y est très agréable, la serveuse est d'une gentillesse, et nous as même demandé certains mots en Français, très souriante, la nourriture y est bonne et fraiche et le prix intéressant je le conseil

I go here every morning before work! The staff are fantastic! A filter coffee is .99p and I love their porridge! The lakeside one always has friendly and fast service and they never look short staffed :)

Pret has become fabulous. The food is gorgeous - even for a veggie! I started with the vegetarian sushi and stuck with it because I liked it so much. I've also tried the avocado wrap with mature cheese and discovered the hot wraps - veggie tikka. I can't tell you how great it is to finally have lots of choice as a vegetarian. The prices are higher than average but definitely worth it.

Visited on 26th November 2012. Three of us drinks and mince pies put on a very small tray and not balanced. Spilt all three coffees and drenched the mince pies. Staff where not keen to clear up the spilt liquids. Only one member of staff seem customer friendly. Drinks where replaced after asking twice. Asked for head office number given wrong number twice. The filter coffee was better than the Americano and cheaper too. For a National Group not the best example.
