Pret a Manger in Brighton and Hove

It's a great little shop to get a quick bite. They offer a wide selection of snacks & have very good crisps :)

Kids ham sandwiches: stale hard bread, almost curling. If you're going to charge the earth please ensure the food is top notch, edible at least

This morning I bought 1 latte and 1 croissant for £7.45!! This is RIDICULOUS, there are lots of local business that charge less (£5) and the croissant are homemade! Avoid pret and support local coffee shops.

Ordered an ice vanilla latte. Mixed it well then tried it, the coffee was really strong, didn't like it at all although this is my go to order everywhere. Prets cofee was really bad. I asked the manager nicely if he could add a bit more vanilla syrup, he said no just mix it more. Which was incredibly rude. Pret just lost a frequent customer. Very very bad experience in Pret in the Brighton station

£3.30 for a regular breakfast tea!!

Ordered a mocha and it's literally the worst I've ever had!! No hot chocolate in it whatsoever! Just tastes like bland coffee!! The sandwich was really good, but not having a nice drink with it, completely ruined it for me... Appalling to call this drink a mocha!

Clean, welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Its just very expensive for what it is.

I enjoy coffee at Pret nearly every day as I have the subscription. Staff are nice and the place is clean and tidy. You are able to fill your bottle of water as there is a tap. Good selection of salads, sandwiches, pastries and desserts prepared on daily basis (I’ve tried the Italian style one and is so tasty). I’d like to see more plastic free containers. Bring your reusable coffee cup to get 50p off!! (now that coffee prices are getting to the roof, it helps)

Very bad behaviour of the staff

I subscribed the Pret monthly 5 a day coffee. And I usually have Soya Milk in my coffee. But today I just can’t be bothered. But, I hate Skim milk personally. The barista were just using Skimmed Milk, they didn’t even ask what milk preference I want! And it tastes burnt coffee 🥵. They were not even friendly over there! Customer service in this Branch is bad!!! The Kensington and St Pancras team are very friendly! I know I’m paying £25/month, I know that, but still customers have the right to choose what milk preferences they want. I didn’t have the time to make a complaint in store Bec I have to catch my train.

Staff are surly and the coffee's grim. Yet it is more expensive than FCB on the concourse, which is much nicer

Such a shame, no more daily coffee and sandwich after work, cancelled my coffee subscription too. Train Station (used to close at 6 pm) and North St. now close at 5 pm and East St. closes at 5.30 pm. I get back to Brighton at 5 pm daily! Why shut the Train Station an hour earlier?

Very poor service and staff spoke disparagingly of customers standing in front of them waiting for their coffee. We can hear you! Don’t be rude. Incredibly immature and unprofessional! Never again

In Brighton there is only three branch, the staff are very friendly. It would be wonderful if they extend the time the open. They usual open till 6:30 PM

Opens at 6 yet there no food out at all. Nothing. Been comin here for years this time an it a joke now

Didn't get what I asked for (it wasn't even busy) but had to catch my train. What I got was a lousy cappuccino with burnt coffee. Not Good, compared to the quality and service we get in London....Pret(ty) horrible.

If your train departs in 10 minutes, check the service queue. Otherwise, you will miss the train for the sake of a slowly prepared coffee. Sometimes the operate one machine that serves a customer per serve. For example 5 late... instead of preparing them together, they are prepared one by one... and just imagine how slowly that will be.

Great choice of food and drinks. Good atmosphere and great service. What I love at Pret is that the food is always freshly made. Go on try it and you will be pleasantly surprised!

Not bad but very expensive. It's useful for charging your mobile whilst waiting for trains.

Kristijonas Valadka is one of the best waiters here in pret , he made me love pret in all my heart and help me to subscribe by the website.. I think he is friendly and helpful especially with student from other countries

On walking to my table, my feet were sticking to the floor so I politely (helpfully, I thought) informed a member of staff who was cleaning up a spill nearby that I didn’t expect him to do it now but the floor was also very sticky near my table. His reply ‘Yeah. And what do you expect me to do about it?’ Terribly rude. Even the table next to me was appalled.

Doesn’t open in time so don’t rely on this for a morning coffee

The sandwiches are OK but still feel I need ice latte which you don't do..

I was planning on going here today, but all the 1 star reviews reminded me of the abysmal customer service (one or two are good, but from most of the staff the customer service is appalling - once we've seen it, you'll know!). So today, even though I like Pret and this venue I'll go elsewhere. I'm paying and at least want to feel treated with some dignity.

Pret always has a good quality coffee and breakfast option available, usually my regular spot for a takeaway cuppa before work. Can't comment on hot food selection as I'm usually too early for that but friendly and helpful as usual.

Quick and easy place for a bite to eat

Visited on a saturday while passing thru. It was medium busy. 1st cup of coffee was absolutely disgusting, so i asked for another one. The staff looked at me like a idiot, also asked them to taste it which they declined. Again coffee tastes awful. Asked for a 3rd coffee, the woman making this gave me a dirty look. I tried the coffee again and chucked it in the bin and left while the wotless staff looked on. Honestly i have no idea why the staff act the way they do. All the other prets in brighton have happy friendly staff and are nice to visit. This one? Dont bother. Go next door to bagel man!

This coffee shop use to be my favourite every day stop not only because I am a big fan of Pret a Manger coffee also they use to have excellent service ,but it's going down in my opinion regarding quality of service. For instance today I was ordering my coffee and even wasn't busy at all I needed to wait and look how other people who ordered after me like 7-8 already got their coffees . And it's not the first time. Almost every time.

Just overheard whilst was paying: ‘these motherf@&kers always disappear’ pointing on customers who I assume went outside. Also from a women whom is a manager, well done Pret! amazing customer service 👏👏👏👏👏

I've made a few visits here. Always a good place to sit and have a coffee while watching the hustle and bustle of the station ! You can sit indoors or outdoors !

staff related review: inappropriate behaviour on the shop floor with other colleagues. a manager and colleague were canoodling and flirting behind the till AND on the shop floor. same manager who laughed to his colleagues when i ordered a hot chocolate. another colleague said that they don’t do table service (to other customers) when they were sat THREE STEPS away from the till. they understood but the man made a snarky comment saying “first ever table service”. all stood behind the till chatting. i know this isn’t a good representation of Pret in the slightest but embarrassing on the company.

Good food but a tad pricey! Staff need to realise that newcomers need more help!

Croissant half empty, no toilet available, cappucino one of the worst had, staff ok apart from a large wide south american that wasn't happy to work there apparently.

Most items were not stocked. Lots of staff chatting with each other. Food was average and not competitively priced.

It's exactly what you expect. Pret A Manger, in a station. The food is delivered from another branch and they therefore have a smaller selection that the branches in town but still enough to find lunch easy enough, sure... The staff are friendly. It can be a little awkward waiting to the side of the till for your coffee as there isn't much space but the barista is normally quick enough that it's not a big problem ☺️

Go for the filter coffee. It's only £1.25. Excellent value in this day and age.

As a Gold a club member, today, as I entered Brighton station from a long day of travels I hoped to kick my feet up and enjoy the perks of being a verified gold member. Unfortunately this was not the case, once I approached the counter with my Swedish meatball wrap I was publicly humiliated by one of the cashiers who made allegations I was not worthy of access to the gold lounge. After many fruitless swipes of my card it was returned, I am appalled and on the verge of tears after this ordeal. I am returning to London where I will be able to take advantage of the luxuries endowed by this shiny card at my home Pret. I am sending a copy of this to the gold council. Goodbye and No thank you

For the last 2 months, I have been in Brighton for business. Therefore an early morning coffee is a must. I must say that the service provided by Jagoda, has been remarkable, professional and efficient. If only London Prets were like this. This lady is an excellent asset to the company. Look after her. The girl in there couldn't gave me a worse service - 9:25 on Thursday. I asked for a coffee and as soon as I asked for it she jumped to talk with someone else so I did not got the chance to order my coffee properly (I don't drink cow's milk) When I stopped her from her chatting to ask her I dont drink cow's milk I got as an aswered "You should said earlier, we don't ask". In other prets they always asked me for the milk or the would change the drink that I will not have. Honestly, ridiculous.

Terrible customer service, I asked for my order which was a caramel latte with extra sugar. The woman behind the counter gave me a dirty look. Her colleague informed me the sugar was available on the side for me to add myself. No need to be so hostile.

Staff were very friendly and seating was at a good distance to allow safety measures. Tucked away at the station but a good find.

Horrible customer service. Apparently, the staff are not pleased with our presence and order. They never reply to good morning nor thank you. I even heared the batista mocking customer's orders! Apparently they have poor training and extremely negative attitude. I also noticed this more clearly after the new subscription scheme. Management should manage the employees more effectively.

The level of the customer service in this store is very poor (Brighton station store). Since Pret A Manger made the subscription about their coffee , the customer service has changed , unwelcoming staff , drinks always not as what you would expect , i think the management just need to remind the staff who work in the store that we are paying for the coffee , we not getting for free!!

Customer service is realy bad. They don't provide stirrers for your coffee and if you ask they seem to get annoyed. Training on customer service should be provided

I eat here fairly regularly because it's convenient. But the food prep is slapdash. Sandwich and wrap fillings are generally all over the outside of the bread. I've just had a Swedish meatball wrap that's been kept hot so long that the wrap is more like a papadum and collapsed to crumbs when eaten. The meatballs had all slid down and out the bottom into the packaging. I won't be having that again.

I was trying to buy a salmon sandwich, a bag of salt and vinegar crisps and a bottle of water which came to a close of £5.77. I paid with card and the transaction as far as I knew was successful but the waitress said that it didn’t work so I paid with a £10 note. When I finally paid the worker took my crisps away and only got 22p change for a meal paid with a £10 note for £5.77, I was so in shock of this I just walked off with my sandwich and water.

Great pret very helpful staff especially Anita. She helped me as I am a Coeliac and was not sure of the gluten free products. Showed me the range of gluten free products and gave me a sample. Will certainly visit again.

Clean little convenient cafe. Free WiFi so it is a handy place to work from. Friendly staff too. 4 * as it's a bit pricey.

Waited 15min for baby Chino and Latte while 3 ppl that ordered after us got theirs within minutes.

Amazing food and Customer service

I do like the comfortable seats at Pret A Manger in Brighton Station but the only thing which I don’t like is the internet connection being poor so I used the better internet connection at the Pret A Manger in Central Brighton instead. The staff were helpful giving my hot chocolate only a few seconds or a minute after when I’ve payed for it so keep up the good work.

I'm on holiday with a pause at Brighton station. After being turned away from another place because I have a dog, Kate went above and beyond to make sure I had a very much enjoyed latte, that I felt welcome and valued. She and Gabriel also made sure my dog Flit was treated as a special guest. Thank you both :-D Catharine and Flit

Good quality coffee shop food, enjoyable coffee and they often provide plentiful decent seating. Better than Starbucks.

Update: I went back 2 weeks later and the store had been remodeled and had the filter coffee! Now five stars. [I love Pret, but be aware that this particular store does not have their great filter coffee. Americano was not so good. ]

I just visited this store and its such an amazing!!!!!I came to Brighton to celebrate my birthday and thought im gonna pop in for a coffee my phone was discharged and i asked for help from the members of the staff they were very kind and helpful and made for me an awesome coffee!!!Well done for this team!!!You are the best!!!🙂✌🏻🎊🎊🎊🎊

Excellent for those who live north of Brighton station, this is a roomy Pret with all the usual array of salads and sandwiches. Nice ambience and very convenient for commuters and conversationalists alike.
