Pret a Manger in Hackney

Used to be very convenient coming here in my lunch hour...until I saw two long haired dogs be allowed inside, very much near the food. This is a venue that handles food, mostly food left out in the open and not behind a counter or in a kitchen. It is unhygienic, especially as both dogs looked unkempt. Neither dog was a guide dog or had on a support animal uniform.

Worse service of any Pret I've visited in the world. Wont be going back. Coffee average (but made by machine) so no staff effort required. Staff see customers as an annoyance and tolerate them. place should be set down, to send a very bad signal about Bret and the brand.

Classic average Pret, the coffee is not good and the staff is mostly bothered that you want to buy something. The variety of snacks is good though, the salmon-egg baguette was full of both and for a good prive so I am giving 3 stars. Good to grab and go.

Not good experience at all. Staff is not friendly at all, never ask me if want to take away or stay in and always charge me for stay in. I always take away my food. Very unprofessional.

I usually get a coconut coffee at pret but today they made the worst coffee I’ve ever have in my life.

The wrap I got was in pieces inside the packaging, worst mistake I made in my life now I am left starving because it wasn’t enough anyways for £6. Joke

I don't usually get coffee from pret and I probably won't ever again. I asked for a large oat latte. The person who took my order said OK. When they shouted oat latte I have asked the other person behind the counter if that's a large one as it looked small and I wasn't sure if it's mine. He replied "I don't know".... You don't know if it's large or small? Somone else took that cup and I have waited for my large one. When the next oat latte was shouted the cup was still small so I asked him again if they do large ones. He said" no. Just medium" Then why they didn't mention that at the till so I know what I am paying for.

Très bon expresso et cappuccino. Serveuse hyper sympa qui a offert un brownie à mon fils.

Great staff but I don’t understand why this shop have no AC and no ice drinks. I hope the head office fix this soon

I generally enjoy visiting Pret A Manager, but the 14th of July at 13:50 pm was especially memorable. People may make our day, and Paul and Anna were those people. They greeted me with a bright smile, and they made me feel at ease, and their energy is contagious. They are experts in their field. I hope this was a one-off experience as I usually wouldnt write a review of places but I was absolutely shocked by the service of the barista here. She was rushing (even though it wasnt busy), she was extremely rude to the cashier and was not paying attention to orders. My coffee tasted off and burnt (which isn't unusual for Pret coffee to be honest). Not worth it.

Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Nice atmosphere.

Decent to good sandwiches. Great granola bowls but the coffee was weak sauce.

Tariq served me with amazing customer service, he was very polite and very helpful when it came to explaining the drink’s menu. I have the subscription, so I’ll be going often!

We went for a coffee and to relax a bit. It was nice to be able to sit down for 10 minutes to enjoy our drink.

Great place to go to eat, work or even make calls. Good snack options and the staff is very sympathetic.

Went there at the opening time displayed on the Google map. The shop door was closed, a few people were waiting outside and although there were some staff inside but noboy seemed to care about their customers. (Nobody was hurrying to open the door to let customers in...) I waited for 10 more minutes but ended up leaving there...

Kind service and a usual Pret branch busy and busy

They have some of the freshest packaged sandwiches in my opinion but I just don't like the fact that they don't keep things stocked throughout the opening times. You could go in for a tuna mayo and end up with a crusty Plant PLT.

Worst ever experience!! Jestieve or whatever the name was for the female who was busy holding a fan and adoring her eye lashes ! I told her that the chai latte is not mixed and stuck at the bottom and is not getting mixed with the straw! She acting super smart said that’s how we make it , if its not getting mixed its your problem! I have been having coffee in pret since past few months and its different! But this lady named Jestive or steve or whatever is super annoying and is rude!!!! If at all the store manager is reading it, please do take this into consideration!! If your staff is soo rude to customers that’s not right!

Everyday they open late and almost no sandwich for breakfast.

Wasn't looking forward to the visit as the shop can get quite busy and on being served by Brandi, she took over and did everything. All of the coffee's were correct she bagged them all up and was in control of the Barista's the whole time.

Can u pls make sure u closing your orders properly, my bag was finished just coz u guys can’t close the your containers properly

Poor customer service. They didn't even call for when my order was ready and in fact messed up my order. They redid but to a poor standard.

Very poor customer service!!! Staff are so slow compared to other coffee shops. They don’t care if queue is long & people look disappointed . They have lazy attitude towards their customers. Most of the staff looks grumpy and no smile on their faces. The barista who was preparing my coffee just made the coffee and put aside and keep cleaning. I wonder why she didn’t pass my coffee first and then carry on with her job. As a result I missed my train. If you want to get good and quick customer service don’t go to this coffee shop just walk bit further there is another PRET shop opposite of the church in Shoreditch high street where staffs are more friendly that can provide with super quick service. I hope management gives better training & support to their staff to improve their customer service. It was disappointing experience for me.

Pret has become a very lazy and bad place ! attitude from people and lots of them just standing instead of making the coffee ! literally 6 people (3 baristas ) behind the counter and no one is making coffee ! 3 people waiting for coffee and I need to get back to work but no lets just chat and play around. honestly ridiculous ! this specific branch is one of the worst because of lazy staff

Opening times need updating .. on Google it says it’s open from 6:30 only to get there and they are closed .

Small pret. Has seating,a few seats round the edge with stool, no tables/chairs. Fast service and friendly staff.

Honestly love pret but the team here are rude and almost racist, being asked multiple times if I’ve paid for a sandwich and being blamed for rap music playing outside that had nothing to do with me

This was my first time of ordering a delivery from Pret for a business lunch and I won't be using them again. Food maybe fine but when it's meant to be delivered between 11.30 - 12.30 and turns up just before 10 to one it's not good enough. The delivery person wanted me to come down to his vehicle to collect (but I was 30 miles away) and didn't want to come to our reception. It's a delivery service!! All the meeting attendees had to go out and get their own lunches to keep to the agenda timing and were not impressed. I won't be using Pret again.

This pret made Oat latte for me but it was under 50 Degree of hot 95% of Pret coffee quality are ready Down also, many time I put my pret coffee in the bin and went to Starbucks and had really good coffee. Bad side of all pret is they do not listen any customer and 99% of Pret Team do not take seriously.order, if ask Oat latte, they make Hot Latte, now imagine, if some some allergic of milk, that person could die and pret has record someone died by eating sandwich from Pert. When Pret many latte 98% time make Cappuccino style latte which is very sad thing for most of customer. If morning coffee and day start with wrong coffe or bad impressed all day don't go good way but, Pret team or company don't try to understand or care. If you request back to pret team to make right coffee, you have to wait another 10 to 12 minutes and you will get same coffee so, no point to wait for another one. Business is always competition & Pret need to understand and believe it, I hope soon we will get another coffee company giving.out same subscription and Pret will loss 99.99% of coffee lover subscription.

Worst experience EVER! I ordered a Americano coffee with oat milk and Caramel syrup. The guy in the purple top with his sticking attitude gives me my cup and says I forgot the milk and tops it up infront of me, okay no problem. Why is it when I taste is water and coffee with the tiniest amount of milk and when I said it wasn't my order turns around and says that my order and rudely says do I want a refund?! Hire better.

No decaf coffee, no honey for porridge, and waited forever for 2 cups of tea. Asked for dash soya milk and got the milkiest tea possible. Absolute chaos and the worst Pret service I've ever had

Used to come here every lunch, but now concluded it's the worst pret i've been too. staff are clueless and disorganised, a shame because pret is normally good, i will go elsewhere from now on.

Nice people but they're really bad at sorting out who got what drink. Especially painful at 9 in the morning when you've got half a dozen people standing there waiting for over 15 mins because they've messed up your drink and it may never come. If the baristas can't remember all the drinks, just write the drink and the name of the customer down like Starbucks does. It's not rocket science.

Small store can get busy at times. The few times I have visited (late afternoon) there is not alot of choice in food. The staff are friendly and do help.

Very poor customer service, don’t get me wrong if you are a woman they bend over back for you. The last two days I’ve waited 10 minutes for my chocolate shake. Yesterday the lady give a complimentary cookie to say sorry. But for today it was like I was in the wrong they was all ganging up on me & said we have to throw load of beverages away because people. But if they make what people ask for they wouldn’t throw beverages away

I come here every day because is nearby to my work place, is very busy in the morning and lunch time. The staff are unorganised and unexperienced, they always forget what drink did you ordered and are very impolied. In this place the management should be changed for sure, if it's exists. I never saw a supervisor or a manager there. Come here only if you have no other option.

There is an absence of basic customer service skills. I’m not sure if they are fed up with life or what entirely is the matter the staff have very poor attitudes and lack mannerisms… if they are not being paid well this is probably why their attitude is poor… they drag their feet always one person at the tills and ten thousands making the orders however delivery is slow. What ever the issue is here there is obviously poor staff morale and their behaviours definitely stem from their oblivious manager .

Very rude staff, never have any ice. I don't understand why i pay £20 a month for drinks I am unable to buy. I do love pret but the experience is so unpleasant that I will not be returning.

Every day buying from them coffee. In a morning latte is fine. But they definitely don't know how to make a mokachino.

Manager is incredibly rude, has no respect for any customer all her workers are so kind and serve coffee with a smile. But the manger is definitely a problem she literally looked at me and cut her eye. Get her out. This ain’t her industry.

This store actually closes at 16.00 on weekdays, not 16.30 as advertised on google maps. Seeing as half of all prêts in London are closed and the other half have reduced hours, it would be appreciated if at the very least their published hours are correct.

The blonde lady that works there is the sweetest, kindest, purest person I see on a daily and I am always grateful to have her take my order. Honestly so sweet and helpful!

Using this store frequently as I have a pret subscription. Staff are generally nice, but there are a couple who are distinctly rude. They frequently (around 20% of the time) forget the drink you ordered and then take ages, and end up asking you again what you ordered which is a bit annoying given how often it happens.

No toilets facilities. Also I was staying in and I checked in to the track and trace but the women kept coming around all the time and hounding me to check into the track and trace when already told her I had. Got on my nerves as i was trying to work

Found a really long hair in meal today. 3rd September 2020. Manager blamed spinach company provider. Even though meals are made fresh here. Refund given. Poor experience. Just watch out for the hairs!!

These are practically on every corner... They're great when you decide you're hungry and want a quick bite. Food is healthy, fresh, and packaged to go (like on a picnic).

Over priced and they barely had anything on the shelves.

My favorite pret I grab breakfast from there everyday. Been disappointed once with my beans being burnt (Btw, why are they not doing baked beans anymore) but otherwise service is always good and food excellent. LOVE PRET

Kind people and nice place for a fast morning stop

I went yesterday for the first time, the bircher muesli was so delicious, the most fabulous I've eaten in my life. I enjoyed a chicken salad, frappé and chocolate mousse very much also.... So much that it's all I could think about to have it for breakfast the following day. Today I ordered 2 bircher muesli and ate them both! Delightful!! Their regular coffees are really lovely also. I hope this business breaks into the Australian market. Edit: got one more chance to go... Ate more bircher muesli, prawn avocado salad, another chicken salad, latte, a Pret chocolate with sea salt... They were just amazing... This was my best eating experience in London.

Come out of Shoreditch High Street station and it is right round the corner. The staff are really friendly and the shop is clean. It isn't the quietest place, so if you plan on working take your earphones.

Ne trovi uno ad ogni angolo della città. Questa catena infatti ha circa 300 punti vendita nel mondo. Funziona un po’ come un ristorante. Nel menu, panini, baguette e insalate, sushi, zuppe, muesli, torte, frutta,... Il cibo è preparato fresco ogni giorno, e alla fine della giornata l’invenduto viene donato a organizzazioni benefiche da quanto ho capito. Io ho provato la colazione a base di uno smoothey all'avocado e cetriolo, un'omelette di soli albumi, spinaci e pomodorini e un cappuccino. Devo dire che era tutto buonissimo. Il cibo era bello e molto ben confezionato. Personale molto gentile e prezzi buoni per essere a Londra.

Pretty hectic during the day. Not a bad spot to check emails from post 4pm though - quiet and plenty of seating space.
