Pret A Manger in Liverpool

SUBPAR CUSTOMER SERVICE I bought a cheese toastie on Tuesday to take away. It was handed to me in the cheese toastie wrapper, so I had no reason to doubt it. However, when I got back to the office, it was some disgusting tuna thing. I had to traipse back in the ice and sleet, an almost half hour round trip, to return the incorrect item. The staff member was friendly enough, but all I got was an exchange. At absolute bare minimum, I ought to have got a refund too. This is quite simply subpar customer service. You expect better, especially when food is this expensive in the first place. Here's the really important thing though. I am only a disgruntled vegetarian who finds tuna fish repugnant. But what if someone has a seafood allergy? This restaurant chain has already killed two of its customers. You would expect them to be much more careful about proper labelling and cross-contamination. The fact that wrappers got mixed up in the kitchen like this is evidence that they are not cautious enough. It is just not acceptable.

I experienced a racist incident with one of the staff at Pret. I wanted to go for prayer, and he followed me and closed the door in my face. I believe this is unacceptable behavior, and the individual should be held accountable.

I m regular customer of Pret A Manger derby square .it is Very nice place and very friendly staffs and lovely environment . This place gave me a good vibes and positive energy ❤️ that shop is much better than other Pret A Manger in paradise street . Hamza

Mi esposa y yo asistimos a tomar café y un aperitivo. Pedí un café negro fuerte, un capuchino descafeinado, chocolate negro y una galleta. La galleta y el chocolate eran muy agradables - mi café era, por desgracia débil e insípido. El capuchino de mi esposa no era mucho mejor y ambos fueron servidos en vasos de papel a pesar de que está comiendo. Pensé que esto era pobre, especialmente considerando el costo. Tengo mucho mejor café y servicio de otras sucursales anteriormente, así que no volveré a visitar esta sucursal.

Didn’t have my usual- New Yorker on Rye , so ordered Brie and cranberry it was delicious 🤤, also got a free Christmas sandwich and Croissant so gave to by boss - again delicious he was happy as wasn’t expect ( brownie points lol 😂) love Pret always so fresh and quick delivery

Been in a few times for a coffee. It has a nice and light corner location, opposite the crown courts on the edge of the old financial district of Liverpool.

Getting expensive for what it is. Better and cheaper options in M&S food hall

Took a break from the subscription and renewed recently. Coming back to this branch with fresh eyes is depressing. It's so dirty. I always need to clean the table before I can sit down. Today the air con is dripping from the ceiling and there's a bucket on the table. Classy. The toilet is out of order( but the sign is at the bottom of the stairs so you only know after going down to the basement). Prices seem to have gone up again recently. When I stared the subscription a couple of years ago you could get a Cookie for £1, now it's £2.60. That's quite some inflation! It's overpriced, under invested, and the poor staff here are probably treated with the same contempt by management as their customers. Honestly I'm glad the subscription offer is ending because now I won't feel like it's a waste of my subscription to go elsewhere. I'm looking forward to other stores' coffee which is nicer and has much cleaner premises too.

My favourite Pret! And coming from London that says a lot! I come here almost every morning before work and it brightens up my day, the best staff and really good coffee! Will miss it when I move back to London.

Tried this place for the first time in June 2024. Great customer service. Tables could do with a clean.

I ordered two Scandi Style Salmon Rye Rolls one for me and my boss , and it was absolutely delicious so fresh and tasty just the right about of mustard to give a little kick, all very fresh ingredients- I could have eaten another one .. definitely ordering again , quick delivery also great service 👍🏻 p.s extra crunchy Sea Tangy super Crisps was also yummy 🤤

Male toilet require a code and a walk through a really horrible area and only one toilet there

Some plain soups needed eg tomato.veg.mushroòm never heard of some on sale there

We went for coffee and got a nice moment. Différents drink cold or hot and food nice .

Staff at this site are extremely rude. I’ve never had an issue with Pret before (and I very rarely complain at anything) but we will now be avoiding this site due to the brunette and blonde women working behind the counter today.

My friend and I use pret on castle street often as its close to work. Has to be said, the sandwiches are lovely. However, this morning we were served by a man who clearly does not enjoy his job. We asked for an ice latte, we were told there were no "stravs" ...after 4 times of guessing what he was saying and repeatedly asking what he meant, he finally shrugged and said I can't do it. Got a hot latte instead. Cannot see what the issue was, he didn't bother even trying to explain what he was saying, just repeated whatever word it was. Latte was so badly done, my friend couldn't drink it. Unacceptable. This review is solely based on today. Other days, staff is friendly and coffee is good. Can recommend coming here but today's server needs a different job.

Went to da Pret and got a sarny and lad wit long hair called Chris giz us the sarny and said enjoy and I did enjoy. Chris then gave us coffee with wink and I enjoyed it. Proper tasty beans. The coffee not Chris. Then got cake. Sweet and tasty. Went to pay and Chris said ‘have a nice day’. I did. Chris. Thanks.

Had a drink with my daughter to escape the weather but lost the feeling in my legs due to the strange seats then found out the toilets were 2 flights down!

Expensive coffee for what you get 3.70 Late small size use to be good and cheap but not anymore

Service was not just that, I had a good conversation with the cashier, polite responsive and she had a sense of humor, coffee and cake is always nice in these places and being as it was around 8.50 still a great selection and very fresh.

I had one of the best culinary/ spiritual experiences when visiting the pret in Liverpool. I was peckish for a sandwiche and chose a cheese sandwiche. As I got to the till a cheeky server by Chris said would I like it melted. I didn’t know what this meant. Chris with a cheeky wink said ‘wait till you see’. As the microwave span round, my heart pounding in my chest. Adrenaline pumping. Chris. Sandwiche. Chris. Cheese melt. My heart was beating a million beats per minute. As the microwave dinged, my spirit soured. I lifted the sandwiche to my lips. It was here I realised god exists. The rich flavour, the cheeky wink of Chris ever watching. I don’t remember getting home. Everything was a daze. But as I sank to sleep Chris and his cheese melt were forever on my mind.

I asked small size coffee and they told me we have one size but they have a very small size coffee for £3.40. Don’t waste your money here go to a nice cafe to enjoy your time!

Great Pret, good staff and a nice atmosphere

Stopped for a coffee and sandwich. Tables not wiped clean, the bottom of tables looked like they had not been cleaned for weeks. I know this is a busy place but surely someone could be given a job to clean these.

The staff were nice the other day . Today when I was explaining to a member of staff that the pink, blue and white arrows on the alphabet people id holder stands for “sexual attraction to minors, a manager I assume decided I’m causing trouble and kicked me out . Congratulations pret a manager for supporting the peodo agenda of grooming kids

I come in here fairly regularly and I find the staff generally quite decent and the place clean and tidy. Some staff members are more reserved but so far I haven't experienced any of them being rude to me.

Lots of tables free which by comparison to other venues made a welcome change.Delicious baguette and coffee and relaxed stop .Until I needed the loo.Don’t bother.There’s a code to input to access the loos which are then down a huge flight of stairs .There needs to be an upgrade here for customers,it’s quite unpleasant behind the main store and as a lone female I felt quite anxious.

Very bad experience!!! Wanted to enjoy a coffee in the sun so got something to eat a drink and not even 10 min passed and was told I have to move in as they have to clear the tables from outside. It was 16:30 so i asked when they close and was told 17:30....i told them they I feel like they are kicking me out and was replied ,,i am just doing what I am told mate'' pointless to mention the food and coffee once you are told to leave. Anyway I will make sure I wont return and wanted to help people avoid a bad experience!

Went here for hundreds of times. Had one unhappy experience with food but they sort it out so I’m not mad anymore. Most staff are approachable and nice.

Fast & furious busy; at times noisy, so didn't stay long.

Needs a good deep cleaning very scruffy and dirty tables paying £22 for very tasteless sandwiches and bland coffee is shocking least you expect is to be tidy. Shop frontage is worn and dilapidated. Rude staff.

It's a reasonably priced placed with a good vegetarian range of quick lunches and tasty teas.

Zero stars - do not waste your time at this branch - go to the other ones where staff are much more professional and polite. I am writing on behalf of my friends and colleagues who have regularly suffered rudeness and errors at this branch and consequently decided to no longer visit here. Having witnessed this too many times, I feel obliged to bring this to light. This branch is a disgrace to Liverpool and the staff should be trained to behave in a more courteous manner with the public as the other two branches in the area do. From what I can see from the other reviews on here, it also seems we are not the first customers to experience this.

I go here almost everyday. The staff are brilliant, always smiling and pleasant. They are always on the go. The coffee is fantastic. It’s now my go-to coffee shop. Thank you very much :)

10 quid for a sandwich and a coffee. There's inflation and then there's this. I remember the days when you could dine out for a tenner for 2 courses!

Consistently good coffee. Always served with a smile. I drink a Cortado and I've been to all the coffee shops across Liverpool and this is the best. Second is Carlisi

Having used this location for many years I was disgusted and very disappointed with my visit today. A cheese, ham and mustard toastie was presented with a hard base unable to cut it I returned to counter for help, it was cut for me and returned in a soggy mess. This location is in a prime position an from the outside still looks attractive. Very Very disappointed. Maybe a replacement would have been the answer. JM Liverpool 19

Great location on Derby Square, opposite Crown Courts, Liverpool. Just up from James Street train station and very near Lord Street and Liverpool One shopping centre. I use the £25/month Pret subscription which gives 5 drinks from the menu per day, which is great value if you visit Pret often, which I do between London and Liverpool. Big issue in this Pret, even more than most, is that there is only 3 sockets to plug into if you want to charge your phone or computer. A few outside seats, which can sit around 16 people. These get the sun in the afternoon.

Decided to have breakfast here and do some work. The WIFI was so slow, so it was impossible to get any work done. Cold as well, so had to have coat on

Lovely welcoming space good layout. We met for an informal meeting and it was a good location for it. Good choice of drinks and faster service than star Bucks I'm told.

Good range of sandwiches and drinks. Location gives excellent views of the Victoria Monument and the court buildings. There are plenty of tables inside and out for customers use and toilets are available for use.

Always have a great experience here its on of our favourite stops for a quick lunch on the go at weekend we always have the same thing , hot meatball wrap and coffee 😋 delicious! And staff are always helpful and smiley .

Prêt is prêt so we all know about their food. So let's talk about their service. This one is very poor. The people behind the counter are everything but friendly. Once they bill me with the wrong goods and it was more expensive. I had to ask for a cup holder to take away the hot drinks I ordered. I usually give more chances but it happens several times. No recommended this branch.

The toilets and back behind the scenes area are like those in Trainspotting movie. Not sure to can have a smart front of house and a dirty back of house and claim being hygienic 🤷🏻‍♂️
