The Globe Pub in Liverpool

Surprisingly quite despite it's premium location. Brilliant traditional pub, had a chat with some locals been drinking there since 70s. Say no more. The toilets are in need of TLC but the rest, especially the sloping floor is worth at least a pint or 3 Friendly member of staff. Would recommend

Mi hermano gemelo y yo estábamos de pub y bar por esta parte de la ciudad cuando decidimos pasar por el Globe Pub, hemos estado aquí antes en muchas ocasiones, siempre lo pasamos bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita a aquí. Un pub de la época victoriana de gran aspecto , el interior es soberbio, de dos habitaciones, un bar de servicio de madera maciza domina la sala principal, decoración ecléctica y mobiliario y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub tanto en el interior como cuando hace buen tiempo fuera mirando a las concurridas y bulliciosas calles alrededor de este pub. Pedimos cervezas pálidas de Wainwright's Brewery, estas se sirvieron en excelentes condiciones, nos relajamos y empapamos de la gran vibra en este concurrido y popular pub mientras bebíamos nuestra cerveza pálida. Mi cerveza pálida estaba muy buena, una cerveza crujiente y dorada, toques de café y un delicioso aroma y regusto con un final suave, era tan bueno estar en un pub tan encantador disfrutando de una cerveza de calidad y se sentó con mi hermano gemelo, mejor compañero de cerveza del mundo. Ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestra cerveza pale ale aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a aquí nos lo pasamos muy bien. El Globe Pub es fácil de ubicar a lo largo de Cases Street. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a domingo, abierto desde mediodía. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona.

Hay un fantástico pub de la época victoriana que se llama Globe que ofrece una gran variedad de bebidas y cervezas en barril y es en mi humilde opinión uno de los mejores pubs en el centro de Liverpool. El Globo fue establecido en 1888 y es un excelente lugar para beber cerveza de barril y está en una calle llamada Cases street. Esta zona es una zona del centro de la ciudad donde hay docenas de pubs / bares y restaurantes. Este magnífico pub tiene un interior de dos habitaciones con muchos accesorios y características interesantes y excelente decoración y mobiliario. Este es un pub que es querido por la mayoría de los bebedores de cerveza en barril, ya que es el pub era la sucursal de Liverpool de C.A. M. R. A se formó en 1974 y hay una placa en este pub que conmemora la ocasión que es un buen toque. Visitamos aquí por la tarde y estaba muy ocupado que es la norma en este pub. En nuestra visita tomamos unos vasos de cerveza de la cervecería Timothy Taylor's la cerveza de barril está donde se sirve perfectamente y estaban muy bien de precio. Es un pub magnífico que se encuentra en una zona magnífica del centro de la ciudad y es un pub que vale la pena visitar si estás por esta brillante zona. (Esta es mi sexta reseña del Globo). I am just replying to the last review about the globe this was not about our pub as we don't have a landlord it is a landlady and I was working the night in question when it was the pub next door which had to close due to problems with their toilets so it was a wrong review on the globe

In general a nice pub, had a good evening with some pints, but at the end of the evening before the final bell the landlord was very unfriendly and aggressive against peaceful guests. He ruined a nice evening, not recommendable. The toilet is a mess, stinky sand it’s sticky because of the vast amount of piss on the ground. Cheers

Pedimos una cerveza pálida a la cervecería Ossett , estas fueron servidas en excelentes condiciones , nos relajamos y empapamos de la gran vibra en este concurrido y popular pub. Mi pale ale era muy buena, bien equilibrada, bien elaborada, un delicioso aroma y regusto con un acabado suave, una clásica pale ale británica de hecho, no es sorprendente que este pub sea tan popular entre las cervezas servidas en esta buena condición. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra cerveza pálida aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a The Globe Pub nos lo pasamos muy bien. Pub and bar hopping around this part of the city my twin brother and I decided to drop into The Globe Pub ,one of the best real ale pubs in Liverpool, its the pub that in 1974 the first branch of the C.A.M.R.A for Liverpool was formed ,there's a plaque on the wall of the back room to remember this auspicious moment in the drinking culture of our city. I love the look of this pub, its a two roomed pub ,the pub is a Victorian era pub opened in 1888 ,interior is traditional, main room dominated by an eye catching serving bar, eclectic decor and furnishings, back room is more sedate, lovely furnishings and cool items of bric a brac adorning the walls and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets around this pub. We were here on a Thursday night, pub was busy with a great atmosphere, we opted to have beers brewed by Madri Brewery ,well to be precise Molson Coors / La Sagra Brewery, its a take on a continental lager style beer ,its been heavily advertised and seems to be in every pub and in some pubs ,not The Globe Pub to be jonest but other well known city centre pubs its been touted as a premium beer and being sold at some eye watering prices ,its nice ,it's a golden,light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink but it's not a premium beer,in is in fact an old Carling recipe from I think the 1970's which just goes to show the power of advertising. We enjoyed our beers before we moved on and as on every other visit to The Globe Pub we had a great time. The Globe Pub is easy to locate along Cases Street facing Liverpool Central Railway Station . Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from midday. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Very friendly pub with nice music, with mainly retired regulars. One unique point about the place is that its bar is about a foot shorter at the top end than the bottom end because of the steep slope of the floor inside. But the good news is the bar is perfectly level. They always seem to have great 70's music playing in the background which is the best era for most of the customers. They usually have a great range of real ales and beers. Something to suit everyone and service with a smile.

Absolutely classic watering hole. Tiny, rustic place full of mostly older men but some young groups. Sad to see places like this will eventually die because the younger generations just don’t know about these institutions. Being a Champion Club member, they pour a fine Landlord. Also a real deal at £4.30 for a pint. Great music, great beers. In an alley off of the main drag. Can’t beat it!

The Globe is an amazing pub that offer's a superb cask ale range and is located in an excellent area of the city centre.This pub is located on Cases street'the Globe is a pub that me and my twin have visited hundred's of times over the years as there cask beers are superb and well priced. Build in 1888'this brilliant Victorian era pub is housed in a superb building.The inside of the Globe is fantastic with a main bar room and a lounge room which is accessed by a slopping floor.There are lot's of interesting fixtures and features relating to this classic local pub and this superb pub was the pub were in 1974 the C.A.M.R.A branch was first founded in Liverpool and there is a plaque in honor of this event on the wall. As mentioned above we have been visiting here for many year's and it's as good as it's ever been.When we visited here we had an excellent pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord ales which were brilliant and were very well priced. A fantastic pub in a superb area that's well worth visiting and easy to find from Central train station it's across the road.(This is my fifth review of the Globe). Opening Hours. great pub and staff and ale beware the sloping floo

We visited last Friday and felt really welcome - the guy at the bar was very friendly. On Saturday we returned. After a while, 2 couples walked in that we spoke to a few times. They were saying how one of them couldn’t believe he’d paid £2 for a packet of crisps in another pub, and we were all laughing about it. They were teasing him and it was all quite funny. However the barmaid with short blonde hair thought they were moaning about the price of drinks, which wasn’t the case at all. In fact we told them how cheap our round was with crisps (that’s what started the whole conversation). The barmaid told the couples she wasn’t happy and when they tried to explain, she said really abruptly “get off me.” Straight away the 2 couples felt uncomfortable and left. The barmaid continued to moan about the allegation to anyone that would listen, even though she completely got her wires crossed. We soon left after that as we felt the locals thought we were part of the whole thing. We had one more drink, but the barmaid purposely ignored my partner and served someone else first, which upset him. It really ruined the atmosphere- if she’d listened to their explanation, we were saying how reasonable the prices are and winding one of the gentleman up about how he’d previously paid a lot for some crisps. We’re so disappointed as we thought it was a lovely pub; we come to Liverpool once a year because we lovely the friendly people, but that’s something this barmaid definitely wasn’t. She really put a dampener on our day.

A pub I always enjoy visiting on any trip to Liverpool City Centre I take is The Globe Pub. A wonderful and traditional pub dating from 1888 ,this great Victorian era pub looks superb, interior is as good as it gets ,stained glass windows, eclectic decor and furnishings throughout the two rooms in this pub ,a great looking serving bar dominates the main room and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and when the weather is good outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets around this pub. We headed to here as my twin brother and I know they serve the best pint of Timothy Taylors " landlord " in Liverpool, we were served two pints of this pale ale in pristine condition, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. My pale ale was really good, golden, light and hoppy but not overhopped, hints of toffee, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a very smooth finish, just a cracking pale ale served in a great British boozer. We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Globe Pub is easy to locate along Cases Street, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars ,cafe's and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from midday. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Excellent, small, "real" Liverpool pub (whatever that means). Great atmosphere, decent cask ale. The terrible Drifters/Motown 60s playlist stopped me staying longer. Opens an hour earlier than most pubs in the locality.
