The Bastion Bar & Restaurant in Liverpool

Went for afternoon tea on sat 5/10/24 as a group of 5adults 2children. We had been 2 yrs earlier and it was amazing with food served on little picnic benches. However: to my disappointment, this time - the sandwiches (ham and mustard which tasted spoiled, cheese and onion tasted mediocre, curry wrap very bland and capers on bruscetta which never have I ever been served at afternoon tea??? was vile) were curling a little as if they had been prepped the day before and not stored correctly. The cakes were standard if not basic. Due to this we ordered 2 sets of fries and later on asked for 2 more portions which were not delivered but which wrre added to the bill (which we asked for removal of). Onto the service...the staff were very friendly but considering we had unlimited tea... we had to ask twice for refills and were the only guests in the restaurant for an hour so unsure why staff were not more prompt to offer refill. The atmosphere made it as considering we were alone, they had a DJ and brazilian dancers on and the dancers welcomed my 4 yr old and were happy to chat to her and have photos taken. Unfortunately would not be going back as not worth £20 a head.

We had our booking for 4pm Friday 23rd August 2024. Was really excited to come as I’ve heard great things about the shankly and felt as if it was a luxury to go there, my mum and sister had been the night before and said that it was one of the best meals that they have had and that it was a very personal experience not bombarded with people or a noisy environment. I regret to say that my experience it not what I was expecting and didn’t live up to expectations. The entrance it’s self beautiful so aesthetic, the restaurant the same lit up with lamps and decor it did seem dull very dimmed and the atmosphere the same no other customers in sight no music it was a very awkward atmosphere. Me and my partner arrived 10 minutes before our booking and were sat straight instantly but not in a way I expected we were not shown to our seat or shown the menu just pointed to a table behind a plant and nothing else was said, we sat ourselves and waited for our order to be taken the menu is small but definitely something for everyone being as it is a well known hotel and restaurant I thought that there would be more things in place like water pitchers or clean napkins with every course but there wasn’t, there was training being held while we waited the whole time I would have hated to be in the young women’s shoes who was being trained I mean I don’t know how high there standards are for training new staff but I would have cried if I was her. Or order was taken by a nice young man who told us the soup of the day and gave a brief explanation of the menu before we ordered. We got the spicy sweetcorn soup for starters and beef burger and chicken burger for mains. We waited about 20 minutes for our starter when it came out I was going to be a hit or miss like anything you havnt tried before you don’t know whether you’ll like it, the soup was completely covered in olive oil to the point were it was curdling and splitting the soup and had this thick skin forming on the top every time it was mixed the taste was ok but the texture was just off. Our cocktails were in sort of champagne flutes which I thought was strange as pictures posted have sort of bowl glasses. I felt really awkward trying to take photos I felt like all eyes were on us like some sort of fish in a tank not very relaxing. The mains came out well presented nothing could be said about the beef burger apart from that it was delicious and chips were good. The same with the chicken burger apart from the chicken itself it was sort f grizzly with alot of veins which I don’t particularly like.

Seems to The Spot for hen nights...which is awesome if you're part of a hen party, which I was not! Food was very good, service was doing okay given that there were **five** hen parties with at least 10 members each to deal with. Will avoid on Saturday even at 5pm.

Three of us ate here on a Sunday evening. We had booked and when we arrived two tables were paying at the restaurant reception. We had to wait several minutes before being shown to our table. Other than that the service was good, as was the food. We booked because our aparthotel gave us a voucher for 50% off food at the Bastion , so our £120 bill (incl drinks) was reduced to £80. Excellent value.

A nice bar and restaurant but service was very slow. There was a group of 7 of us stayed in the hotel and decided to have some food before going out for the night. It was 8:30 when we arrived in and we were put under pressure to order straight away as the kitchen closed at 9. We ordered and it took over 30 minutes for the food to come out. The food was nice but when we went to pay the where very slow on the till and charged me for something that I didn't get when I explained that it didn't order it I was told that someone on the table did and as I was last to pay I had to pay for it.

The Bastion Restaurant and bar is based inside of the Shankly Hotel so is easy to find and is a great place to eat. We couldn't decide where to go for an evening meal so as we were staying at the Shankly decided to eat there, the prices were average for the restaurants in the area and it smelt great. When we went downstairs we were seated immediately and given a drinks menu, and an early bird menu as well as the main one, so we both chose from the early bird. The food came quickly, as did the drinks, and was cooked to perfection, we even managed to get to the sweet section which we don't normally and enjoyed every morsel. So when we went to pay for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 sweet a large wine and a pint of lemonade and orange juice it came to less than £40 as you get 20% discount if staying in the hotel, wow what an absolute bargain. As is the hotel the decor is football related and quirky but not in your face and was an absolute joy. 10/10. Ps just loved the toilets 😍

Restaurant was empty when we arrived. Menu very limited Vegan options on printed menu barely existed Vegan options offered were very poor £8 for a glass of wine Grease all over the seats. Hubby sat in it, wearing a brand new suit and was covered in grease. Staff barely apologetic. Tables were sticky. Not a clean environment. Extremely disappointed.

Family meal, food was delicious, tho small portions. Service very slow and drinks constantly messed up. OK if u are not in a rush. Ambient music way too loud. Shame as meal was enjoyed.

Lovely restaurant, staff were great. We didn't have our evening meal here but the breakfast was amazing. Either full English or a huge selection for the continental breakfast. It set us up for the day!

We have previously had afternoon tea at the Bastian Bar which was excellent, but not this time. Prior to our visit we had tried to book a table by emailing them and ringing 10 times. They did not reply to the email and none of our phone calls were answered. We decided to go and see if the booking had gone through. We were met by a very unhelpful woman who informed us that there was no booking in our name and that they did not allow walk ins for afternoon tea, but we had to book and pay for it 48 hours in advance. When we pointed out that we had emailed and rung without success she said that they must be a fault on the telephone! I would like to point out that the restaurant was empty and it was 2pm!, we decided to leave and go somewhere else instead, which we did and the attitude from the staff at the alternative place was 100 times better. After this experience I will not be going again and will not be recommending the Bastian ever again.

First of all, I am in no way shape or form a football fan! I came here with my 76 year old mother purely for somewhere to eat close to where we are staying. That being said, the atmosphere is lovely, the memorabilia is actually subtle, tasteful and interesting even for me! The food, well that's another story! Nothing subtle about fantastic food at amazingly good prices. £25 pp for the set menu was more than worth the money. The only mild downside for me personally was the TV screen showing sky sports in the restaurant. I totally get that this is a football themed establishment and the sound was turned down, just a distraction in my own humble opinion, I'm sure most patrons would be perfectly happy. All in all a huge thumbs up from me and mum!

We were walk ins for breakfast at the Bastion bar /restaurant Shankley hotel this morning thinking it would be a lovely start to a day out visiting museums in Liverpool. We were told £15 each for a full English breakfast 3 of us sat at a table after 10 min they took our order (it was not busy) we ordered drinks 2 full breakfast & my son had scrambled eggs & beans which was also £15, Tea and coffee arrived quite promptly but our breakfast took half a hour. We asked for our eggs well done, the eggs came very soft and I crispy & overcooked the bacon was dry & hard, the whole breakfast was very disappointing and of a very poor standard. The staff were friendly about replacing the eggs but again waiting time for the egg to come separately from the rest of my breakfast. We were only told about self serve toast and sauces after we enquired about them when our breakfast had arrived. After the slow service and the very poor standard of the food we decided to cut our losses £45 & go somewhere else as we could not eat the breakfast. We did notice a different in the standard of service given to some customers (served befor us) possibility due to them staying at the hotel but as walk in customers the Service was slow, & their was no concern for the standard of food we were served . There were many excellent places to eat in Liverpool unfortunately Bastion was average at best & a very disappointing experience.

We got the chicken satay and soup de jour (mushroom soup) the chicken satay was more or less a deconstruction of chicken satay as there was a slice of lime pot of peanut butter and 2 sliced bits of chicken on a stick where as the mushroom soup was blended bits of mushroom in water with fresh coriander it was horrendous needless to say it was returned and the manager offered to replace it but if these was the standard of the rest we decided not to the mains we didn't exmuch but they where lovely I had the beef it was slow cooked and the potatoe puree was nice and the cabbage was OK it was a step up from the starter but not what I'd expect from this type of restaurant

Lovely surroundings but for a top hotel and restaurant the choice of wine is very disappointing

Stayed at the Shankly 19/6 with my partner and booked in to eat at the Restaurant in the evening. The service was the worst we have ever known and the place was dead with staff falling over themselves yet still left dirty plates in front of us until we had paid the bill. We had to ask 3 different members of staff for the bill. We sat with empty glasses and staff were unfriendly. Whole thing very disappointing and we are not complainers. Had the place been busy could of understood it- staff stood around chatting and paying no attention to customers. Has to get up to find staff and then felt like you were bothering them- very very poor.

Avoid the bottomless brunch / afternoon tea! Food was absolutely disgusting, bread as dry as Ghandis flipflop and the service not so great either! I cannot describe the vegetarian 'cheese and onion sandwich'. The photo says it all! Literally speechles 😅

My daughter treated me to afternoon tea here, and it was very disappointing. The sandwiches were ok, nothing special. The cheese and chutney was ok, the chicken salad wrap portion was ok. The ham hock on a brioche bun was awful. It wasn't buttered and the amount of ham was scant, so was very dry, and no taste of ham as there wasn't enough. The other sandwich was smoked salmon, possibly cream cheese but couldn't tell from looking at it. We never ate it as neither of us like smoked salmon. The cake selection was nice, no problems. This was the only bit we enjoyed. The obligatory scone with cream and jam, well the scone was stale. Completely dry and rock hard. Inedible really, but my daughter gave it a try. We had 3 lattes, again ok, not very hot though. The table wasn't clean enough, it had crumbs in all the nooks and crannies of the bare wood. We were the only ones having afternoon tea. I wonder why. Won't be going there again.

After being advised we could have a table for Sunday dinner at 5.45 for a 6.30 pm booking . We went for a drink to return to be told that they had stopped serving Sunday lunch at 5pm . When I pointed out to the supposed supervisor that is why we made the booking he proceeded to blame a member of staff who was supposedly new and she went away quite upset which wasn’t our intention as she obviously hadn’t been trained . We therefore missed the opportunity to have Sunday dinner elsewhere , the Instagram opportunity of the hotel is obviously more important than the substance

Very good prices two spirit drinks for a £10! Only came in for drinks and was nice. They didn’t have rekorderling that day but was okay I got something else instead. Staff at bar were very friendly and helpful! Thank you

The young gentlemen who was our waiter for the evening was exceptional. He went above and beyond. I couldn't fault anything the food was amazing and tasty, so were the cocktails. The staff went the extra mile and made us really welcome!

We recently enjoyed a full weekend of celebrations using this beautiful restaurant. The food was absolutely perfect and so much choice. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and the hotel was stunning. The decor is absolutely beautiful and it made my 40th birthday perfect. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be coming again xx

Nothing pretentious about the food served here, just classic local fayre cooked well and served hot. The staff were friendly and attentive. Very reasonably priced, especially for a city location.

Loads of choices, and it all tasted so good and fresh! The decor of the restaurant is stunning as well.

Stayed overnight at the Dixie dean hotel, but due to their restaurant being closed, we had to go to the bastion for breakfast. Waited almost 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge that we were waiting for a table to be told “ that one over there is empty you can sit there”. When we went over to the table it hadn’t been cleaned or wiped after previous diners and there was no cutlery etc on the table. Asked 3 different times for tea and coffee which never arrived. Breakfast was very greasy, and the bread kept getting stuck in the toaster. A disappointing experience.

Booked Sunday lunch here. Admittedly the internet photos were a lot better than real life but being greeted by Eric 😍 we fell in love with the place immediately! Staff were pleasant but very young. We were seated at a circular table where the chairs were a little low but hey ho. We asked for the table light to be put on, the waitress receive an electric shock! A bit like Fawlty Towers ha ha. However, the cocktails were lovely, the prawn cocktail foul and watery but the Roast Beef …. Absolutely the best ever! The beef was beautiful and the accompanying veg, tasty and perfectly cooked. The dessert again, not up to much. Supposedly cheesecake but actually a pink blancmange on what tasted like a Farley’s Rusk 😂 The whole experience was saved by the fab staff, the nice cocktails, great wine and of course Eric. What an amazing gentleman. Told us he was the Concierge but he was the Star that Shone. He made us giggle and he lit the whole place up, chatting to everyone, what an asset this chap is. We would return just to be in his company. We probably got there a little early so the atmosphere was a little dour and music dull but a lovely place with a few tweaks, would be excellent. We will return. Thank you.

I booked the graduation package for the day of my graduation. This was supposed to include balloons, table decorations, cupcakes and two course meal. I turned up and the staff knew nothing about my booking, so I had nothing. My once in a lifetime special day was completely ruined. Also food was cold and overpriced. I am disgusted and extremely disappointed that this happened! No wonder the place was empty

Friday night dinner was amazing massive vibe dj whilst you eat, staff accommodating and jade the manager especially goes out of her way for you! Highly recommended

Unfortunately, the service really let this place down for us. My partner stood at the bar for twenty minutes waiting for two coffees. No one approached us when we entered, no one came to our table when we sat down etc. Disappointing because the place...

Ate here twice over a 2 day stay. I had a pan roasted chicken supreme first and can honestly say it was not Al a carte. More Al a wheelbarrow, dry bland and just not really worth it. Although the cocktails masked my pain of enduring a sub par dining experience, it sadly was not up to standard. Undeterred by my first experience, I thought I'd give it another chance and try the Shankly burger. I assume it's named the Shankly burger in homage to one of his old pair of football boots. Tough over done and bland presentation was poor. I sent the first failed attempt back in hope I would be delivered something edible. After what seemed like a 90 minute wait, I was served an absolute home goal. Disappointed and approaching the last few seconds of injury time the manager made an appearance. Seemingly agreeing with all of my criticisms of the food she then produced me the full bill for a totally disgusting main. I paid and left. I questioned why somewhere Al a carte couldn't serve a proper burger. 5 guys is over the road and as a fast food restaurant commands a considerably better standard. I am always looking to give a positive and honest review but on this occasion it seems that it's status over substance. Very sad as this is a venue with extremely good potential. Perhaps the chef needs to cook himself a P45, because I wouldn't trust him in a McDonald's, to count the sauces.

Kids loved there breakfast here jade and Tom were lovely I would recommend the steak it was delicious Timmy was lovely and served the kids mock tails

Had a dinner in this special place dedicated to Football with a small museum around player Bill Shankly. Amazing. Had a delicious sirloin steak cooked to perfection. Nice atmosphere and good service

Haven’t stayed in the actual hotel but visited here for a Sunday lunch, the restaurant is spotlessly clean, staff are so lovely and helpful and the actual roast dinner is one of best I’ve had. Beef and lamb was soft and tender, all the extras was cooked perfectly and the gravy was so delicious, already booked in for a couple more Sunday lunches

After a poor stay in The Shankly Hotel (nothing too serious just a few minor letdowns) we were offered afternoon tea in The Bastion. The whole experience was fantastic!!! Beautiful table, fantastic and attentive staff and wonderful food! There was myself, my partner and our little girl and they really looked after us, we had a beautiful table, out the way so we didn’t have to worry about our little girl being a bit noisy, the food was absolutely gorgeous, the staff were fantastic! Looked after us really well and even offered my little girl a pancake (it was pancake day) definitely made up for our poor stay and I’ll definitely be recommending the restaurant to my friends and family! (I’ll be giving the hotel another chance also)

We had a lovely time at the Bastion mainly because of our server Ferenc. A pleasure to talk to and full of useful information he is an asset to the restaurant. The food was ok as the Hake was a bit dry but the history of Shankly was amazing to see.

Fantastic food and cakes. Lovely glass of fizz and unlimited filter coffee. Definitely recommended for a nice treat or meeting up with friends. I went with my daughter with a voucher and really enjoyed it. Fereuc served us and couldn't have been more attentive, great service.

We had an excellent 3 course meal, food was lovely and the service from Ferenc was perfect. My wife had fish and chips and rated it as one of the best she had ever had. Definitely recommend for couples and families.

We are currently staying at the Shankly Hotel for my birthday which is amazing from the moment you step through the door into reception right through to checkout. The rooms ooze comfort and luxury and the jacuzzi spa baths are awesome!We enjoyed a number of delicious cocktails in the Bastion bar and restaurant which were prepared by the absolutely fantastic Ference who was serving behind the bar and attending to tables.The service we received from Ference was absolutely excellent, very attentive, extremely friendly and a pleasure to deal with, as have all the staff been throughout our stay.We have also had the absolute pleasure of meeting a member of the in house team, a real shining star called June. You really could not ask to meet a more lovely and helpful lady and you are doing an amazing job! Thank you for all of your help and recommendations ☺️Highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.Thank you

Had the best service and stay. All the staff were so helpful and enthusiastic. The hotel is gorgeous and such a comfortable bed. I had the best sleep in a long time! Vitamins, water, fruit juice, crisps and ice Lolly’s on the way out to cure a hangover. Only thing I would change is the booking system! It’s confusing and annoying when there is no prices to see!

My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago and we loved it so much, we came back the following week. Both times have been amazing! Our server, Ferenc was really friendly and made us both feel very welcome. He was very engaging and a delight to talk to. We were also served by the lovely Kayleigh who was also very friendly and smiley! The food on both occasions was delicious. I ordered the lamb on our first visit and my husband ordered the duck. Both were exquisite. The duck was lovely and pink & tender but my husband is very greedy so he said it was a little bit small for him. I thought it was a perfect size for me though. My lamb was tender and succulent and very filling indeed.On the second visit, my husband ordered the lamb, which he was very happy with. I ordered the rib-eye steak, which was cooked perfectly, medium rare. The Argentinian Malbec was also delicious. I am already looking forward to our next visit. Hopefully Ferenc and Kayleigh will both be there!

We went to the Shankly to experience the Bastion bar on match day and we had a great time. Good offers on during the game, and the food and a pint for £15 was good value, as the food was really tasty. Had a great evening in great surroundings.

Went for afternoon tea to celebrate a family member 70th birthday. Sandwiches, cakes were lovely. Birthday girl was spoilt with glass of prosecco and more cakes from the staff. Our waiter Ferenc was helpful and made sure we were ok, thank you.

Great service from Ferenc, who was an excellent waiter. He upsold me from Prosecco to Champagne !! I am worth it!! We called in for a drink and a nibble on our way to a matinee at the Empire. Mum is Gluten Free and we were going to share chips but he upsold us to a Gluten Free smoked salmon sandwich. We left happy x

Booked this for our anniversary. Staff very friendly and professional. Shout out to Ferenc who took great care of us. Also thanks to the manager who sorted our drinks really enjoyed our night and thank you so much for going the extra mile with the gift at the end. Much appreciated

Had a meal here for my 24th, Ferenc was the PERFECT host, so attentive and hospitable. Ferenc couldn’t do enough for you, went out of his his way to give you a lovely evening. The food was nice but Ferenc made the night even better. Fantastic host.

Being a Liverpool fan, I was so excited to visit but was left massively disappointed. This is definitely a bar that focuses on the football fans in the place and doesn’t pay any attention to anyone else. Despite having booked a month in advance, our booking could not be found when we arrived. To be greeted with “We’re busy with the football, we will fit you in somewhere but we’re not sure where” is a wonderful warm greeting! Being left at the bar to get a drink, a table was dragged into the middle of the room for us to eventually sit at. Being left in the middle of no mans land wasn’t a great feeling ...... staff ignored us, concentrating on serving endless beer to the swearing, shouting football fans and the larger groups in the bar. Memorabilia was covered by flags, leaving very little on display. This was plugged as a big attraction to the bar. I have to say, the food was beautiful and we wouldn’t have a bad word to say about it and I’d imagine in a non match day, the atmosphere may have been better. It’s a shame our first impression was of a foul mouthed, football chanting bar and restaurant. We certainly wouldn’t recommend the place and won’t be returning.

Having a festive day in Liverpool and stopped here for lunch. Tasty sandwiches washed down with a glass of wine. Tom was our waiter and he provided a friendly excellent service. Can thoroughly recommend!

We had a well presented and delicious Christmas lunch for a party of 14. Service was excellent and our main server Ferenc was fast and attentive. Although the portions were not huge (and maybe a bit more bread would have been welcomed with the wild boar terrine the quality of the cooking was very good.I've eaten here previously for afternoon teas which are also good value, but would be very tempted to return for their hot food in the future.

Not late night food - and rude service - don’t bother

Went to the shankly for an afternoon tea with friends and the experience from start to finish was perfect. From the moment we made the booking to paying the bill everything went smoothly. We were served by Jade and during the whole day she couldnt do enough for us. The food.... well what can I say? AMAZING! really tasty and fun selection. Would definitely recommend and it's safe to say we will return soon

I went to the Bastion Bar & Restaurant with my mother for Sunday lunch on 15/12/2019.The restaurant area is very nice and both my mum and myself were looking forward to our meal. We were ushered to a table and given a lunch menu. We then waited, and waited and waited. After 25 minutes I went to to the front of house and asked if someone could take our order. A waiter then came over and asked if we would like a drink. I asked for the wine list. The wine list arrived 10 minutes later. I ordered two glasses of Malbec. The wine arrived 10 minutes later. The person who poured the wine in the glass must have been in a hurry because it was dripping on the outside of the glass. The wine dripped on the sleeve of my shirt so I now have a stain which may not come out. We then ordered our food after being in the restaurant for just about an hour. The starters of tempura prawns and salmon terrine were OK (6/10). For the main meal I ordered the shared rump beef platter. This arrived eventually but was not hot. The roast potatoes were chewy and luke warm. The rump beef was dry and tough to eat. The plates were cold. There were no knives and forks so I took the cutlery from the table next to me. I told the waiter that I was really disappointed with the entire experience. They reduced my bill by not charging me for the starters. However I still had to pay £55 for a truly dreadful experience. I had a meal at a place called Simpson's Tavern in London a few weeks ago. It was fantastic and a world away from the Bastion Bar and Restaurant. There are far better restaurants in Liverpool. I will not be returning again.

Breakfast was a large choice and although very busy staff are very attentive and pleasant Sheila was amazing and we will definitely be back

I came with my friend to celebrate her 50th birthday so went for the afternoon tea with Prosecco. The selection of sandwiches is perfect and the cakes are just amazing. The festive afternoon tea has a complimentary gingerbread house and mince pies which we had to bring home! The Prosecco is one of the nicest I have had and goes really well with the cakes. The staff at the Shankly Hotel are very courteous and professional. The atmosphere is relaxed and you aren’t rushed. Special mention must go to Jade who could not do enough for us to ensure our afternoon was perfect. This is my third visit to the Shankly Hotel and would highly recommend it, especially if you are a Liverpool fan!

I had a perfectly cooked, to my liking steak there was a little wait for the meal but it was obviously freshly cooked and good value

Visited with friends for lunch this week. We choose the Fish & Chips and Shankly Burger. We enjoyed our first course and so decided to try a dessert, I chose the Tart Tatin, big mistake ! This appeared to be one of those deconstucted desserts which bear no resemblance to the original. Two small spoonfuls of the so called tart and it was gone! So disappointing and at £6.75 just not value for money. Will not make this mistake again.

Amazing lunch and fab service by Ferenc . We will be back . Loved the setting and food was high quality . Ferenc made our meal extra special by being very friendly . A credit to the hotel . Cannot wait to return for lunch again

Me and my Partner visited here why staying in the shankly hotel. The waiter Ferenc looked after us and gave us food recommendations which was top quality and fabulous! We really enjoyed our visit and will defiantly be returning

My husband ordered fish and chips. I’ve never seen such a large portion of fish, It was hanging over both ends of the plate. He said the fish was excellent but so large he couldn’t do justice to the lovely chips that came with it. The chips seemed home made and he said they were very good. I had the blade of beef which was very tender with a lovely jus.

Excellent food tonight. A big thanks to Gerry and his wonderful staff for the excellent service. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals tonight. I will definitely recommend the restaurant to my friends and colleagues and will be almost certainly be returning for more.

A big thanks for the fantastic attentive service we had on our visit to your restaurant on Wednesday 6th November for my dads 80th birthday Cant fault anything food was beautiful, there were 17 of us & we all received excellent service from the Male & female waiters who I sadly cant remember there names

The Bastion is such a fantastic restaurant you can sit and eat in comfort enjoy looking around the walls at the photos of the great man himself and read all about Shankly's life and true friendship he had with fans as well as other manager's,But most of all enjoy being waited on by friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us while we stayed in the hotel.

Great food, atmosphere, and price. We will be back!!The memorabilia in and around the bastion restaurant is fabulous

Was lovely a great variety of sandwiches and cakes all very delicious the staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful the toilets were very clean and the memorabilia was great to see some very interesting thins nice afternoon

First time and an unexpected find whilst searching for somewhere for dinner. Food was excellent and the service brilliant. Lone diner but I was made to feel very welcome. It was a very busy night but the staff coped well and were very efficient and friendly. Lots of interesting things on Bill Shankly for the football lovers.
