I don’t have great expectations for premiere inns. I would never stay in one if work wasn’t paying for it. However this one is by far the best one, it’s clean and tidy and doesn’t smell like the usual damp and musty premier inns I have to stay inn. It’s clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly, yes they are stretched over more than one roll… it’s a budget hotel! If you’re looking for a better/higher level of service then don’t stay in a budget hotel.

Restaurant and bar not open, still waiting for compensation due to downgrade to continental breakfast as could not offer cooked breakfast. First room offered was unacceptable, had really bad odour smell. Well down on usual standard from Premier Inn.

Room was a nice size but it could have been cleaner. The carpet and upholstery felt dirty and I was scratching myself in the bed and had bite marks. The towels were like sandpaper. The shower was excellent. I stayed 5 days, on the first night I was overcharged for a meal, I was told the till was closed but they would sort it in 2 days time. That never happened, was under £4 so was more the principal. The restaurant is basic microwave food and not much of a selection, plus they didn't have, rice, tomatoes, coke etc etc the list went on... breakfast was actually ok. Our server Dawn was lovely and friendly but please don't vacuum up when guests are trying to have breakfast, we couldn't hear ourselves think. The restaurant itself was dirty as was the cutlery, however I believe its due to be refurbished. It's also not open very often. On a positive note, the location was ideal...

One of the worst premier inns I've stayed in. Have a business account but tbh thin nk I'm going back to travelodge. Room is OK but if you are planning on eating here I'd re consider. The menu is about as limited as you can get. 5 main meal options (I'd have took a photo of the munu but there wasn't any on the tables) or pizza. Nachos chips or gujons for starters 🙈. Save yourself the disappointment and book somewhere else. Oh only option of two draft lagers to choose from as well. That's it, nothing else, no cider or beer. Highly disappointed

Rooms aren't as they are advertised on TV, they are just okay and this one has a tiny menu as it has been going fir a refurb. Only trouble with that is nothing seems to have been done in the time I have had to use it, which is nearly a year!

Rooms are nice and clean, very basic, but everything you need is there and if there is anything you need, reception will do everything they can to help you. A special thank you to Ann in the restaurant, very friendly and helpful as well as running front of house mostly on her own but staff will always help when they can. They are going through a change at the moment but I can see the Cross Hands and Premier Inn becoming one of the best in Gloucestershire when the refurbishment has finished.

One of the less good Premier Inns. Massively let down by the bar / restaurant area, as is the way with many Premier Inns now, very limited (microwave type) menu, and no draught beer - if you’re vegan, good luck. It opens at 18:00 and when I arrived at 22:10 they’d just shut down the till - so I couldn’t order anything. I didn’t have the breakfast so cannot comment on that. The parking is now charged per night, so they can make a few extra quid. The machine is outside reception, which is lovely if you arrive when it’s raining. My room was fine - clean, tidy, and functional, no damp or smoky smells as per other reviews. There was a massive tear in the carpet, but it’s ok because they covered it with a chair. You could hear other guests through the walls and floors; it’s my strong suspicion that some of them are living here. The hotel is fine so long as you just want a basic room for the night - a bit like a service station Travelodge / Days Inn. All of the staff I dealt with were polite, friendly, and helpful.

Really good Premier Inn, go here every couple of months. Excellent location with shops and food very close indeed. Parking always available onsite. Only negative is that in the last couple of months they have introduced pay for parking at £7 per night. Bit frustrating. Staff are always really friendly though.

Room was tired and needs updating. Staff very friendly. Room was cold and despite putting heating on it remained cold overnight. Restaurant is in a pub which is also very tired. Limited menu, although the fish and chips I had was excellent. Had to pay £7 to park overnight which seems excessive. Would not stay here again.

This has to be possibly the worst hotel I have stopped in. Customers of the hotel have to pay an additional extra for overnight parking, too. First impressions of the room, was relatively tidy but had a awful smell of fish, which i assume was down to faulty Air conditioning, I had also asked for a room that was suitable for an amputee, most hotels have a wet room. This had just a standard bathroom, with rails around the bath that actually made getting in and out harder than it would have been if it was just a standard bathroom. The first night was noisy, and the pillows were crap, even doubled up they didn't have much about them. Monday morning I went in for breakfast, the chef didn't turn up. So continental breakfast it was, croissants was burnt. So a bowl of cereal had to make do... On coming back, the meal deal offer had been paid for a lack of choice was terrible. I opted for the pizza, thinking I'd play it safe, and it was undercooked and hard. I attempted to eat it and managed a slice and then walked out. 2nd night, I thought maybe the choice might have changed, I was given the exact same menu, so I handed it back and left. My company had paid for 4 nights bed and breakfast with 4 days of meal deals. I ended up eating elsewhere.... I'd seriously avoid this place, as there are absolutely better places closer to Cheltenham town. I won't be going back. I've rated it 1 star because that's the lowest it will allow you to put to write a review, or I'd be voting negative stars.

Small room for a family of four , but Clean and has a fast EV charger on site which is a big plus for me. The restaurant is not open for dinner and not much around if you want to get something decent to eat . What ruined our stay was the reception when checking out . We had paid for our breakfast while making the original booking and when we checked in the girl at the reception informed us that we had paid for breakfast and asked for when to book a table. All good so far. Next day when we got to breakfast, we were told we need to pay, we informed the lady at the restaurant that we have already paid for it , and it is all fine. And when we were checking out we were stopped and told we need to pay for breakfast. We had to dig through our emails and show the lady at the reception a proof of payment. The person at the desk on the morning 8th of August, not sure if she was new, but she was unable to find the payment on the system. But the lady who checked us in seem to find it as she informed us that we paid for breakfast and asked for a time to book the table. Not sure if this premier inn has a lot of people not paying for breakfast and doing a runner. Sure made us feel that way . Very disorganised.

Really dirty rooms, was sneezing all night due to dust. Also put on 1st floor with no lift, had requested ground floor due to having a pram. Also had to close the window so very hot due to loud shouting all night outside.

You generally know what you're getting with a Premier Inn and this one is no exception, but it is old, tired and dated. Whitbread really need to spend some money on this place to get it up to the same standard as the Premier Inn in Cheltenham town centre, less than a 10 minute drive away. The staff are great and couldn't be more helpful, the beds are comfortable and the restaurant has good food. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, and in the winter the thermostats just set the room to whatever temperature they feel like from time to time. Waking up to the room being 30 degrees and the heater pumping out more heat was just normal. On the flip side of that; the restaurant is freezing cold (in the winter) There is a good amount of free parking and the hotel is close to a shopping park with a McDonald's, Sainsbury's and a few clothing stores nearby. It's close to the motorway but you don't hear the vehicles

Stayed here for 1 night (30/03/24). Good points: - All of the Premier Inn staff we interacted with were very friendly and welcoming. - Room was clean and comfortable - Ample free parking - Genie Point Electric Vehicle charging station in the car park. Things that can be improved: - We were in Room 6 and it was fairly warm overnight which impacted sleep a little. - We had breakfast in the adjoining Beefeater restaurant. While the breakfast was fine, the staff weren’t particularly welcoming, engaging or approachable.

It's the Premier inn, comfortable & clean. Breakfast was nice and reasonable in price. A bit away from the town and taxis are more expense Cheltenham week, close to shops/small shopping centre.

Arrived a bit late. Brewers fare place next door, so I won't for a drink and was just after nine . No chance, told quite harshly the bar was shut. Come on, loads of people sitting drinking. Unfortunately not surprised but to make paying customers happy folks need to go the extra mile. As it happens a diner kicked off, screamed and stormed out so maybe I dodged a bullet after all.

We arrived from Manchester too early to check in, so we went straight to the festival. On our return later that evening we were given a room on the 1st floor. We asked Beth if we could have a ground floor room. She worked her magic to accommodate us, and nothing was too much trouble for her.Thank you, Beth, a huge credit to Premier Inn. See you again soon.

What’s the point in having the website say stock is available only for it not to be? Drove from over an hour away to buy something only to find it’s not actually in stock (even though the website states it is). Probably one of the many reasons you’re under financial pressure.

I enjoy coming here for football matches. I was pleased the duty manager managed to put villa vs Chelsea on even with a six nations majority. Cheers for that! Good atmosphere.
