We had to leave the first room because it smelled strongly of urine. The lady wanted to fix it with room scent, which she sprayed around so generously that there was a white, slimy coating on our suitcases. Then we got another room. Still dirty, hair everywhere, worn out, but at least it doesn't smell anymore. The bar was closed at 7:30 p.m. and we didn't get anything to drink. The next day I asked for room cleaning. Nobody did. When I asked again at 2 p.m., the gentleman at reception said I should just carry the clean towels up myself. And we had to 7!!! Change the keycards because they no longer worked the next time you entered the room. The service couldn't be worse, and the rooms are dirty and shabby. Absolutely not again! Of course I told all this to the hotel manager, she just said it wasn't her fault.

Bed bugs in my room! I just stayed here on work but had to move rooms in the night as I woke up to an infested bed! The bed appeared fine when I got in it after a 10pm arrival/check in, I fell asleep, woke up and turned the lamp on to my horror! There were 6 on the bed when I woke up, I videod and photographed, then packed up sharpish and left. I wanted to swap hotels tbh but it was 2am. The room they moved me to didn’t appear to have bed bugs, the manager checked the beds with me, but nothing seemed to have been hoovered in these rooms. General cleanliness like the toilet seat and walls aren’t all that clean. Little bits of tatty damage to things like the bath panel and mirror, bottom of the door etc. The managers were polite and helpful but it’s basic hygiene and a sleepless night *1star

Great location and the loviest lady that checked us in (sorry didn’t catch your name) on 20th July at 3pm. The only issue we faced was the window seemed like it was broken open by previous guests and no one seemed to attempt to fix it, not really an issue as it was the summer but heard noises etc outside. It would’ve been courteous to be pre warned but understand cleaners may have not reported it.

Room was ok but seemed quite dated, (mirror in the bathroom was water damaged, sink basin was clogged and very slow to empty) though they were changing the sofas/single beds in the rooms for new when we arrived. Disappointed that the windows were covered with very dirty grey net curtains sandwiched between the window and the secondary glazing. Breakfast was absolutely spot on, a proper all day breakfast. Drink prices in the hotel bar were extortionate. You’re better off going a couple of doors down to the very local Wetherspoons for a jar or two.

I'm a big fan of Premier Inn. The location of this branch is excellent for access to shops and restaurants. We had a very good sized family room, with three very comfortable beds. As always, with Premier Inn the breakfast is fantastic and terrific value, especially when the kids eat free. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I stayed here on a work trip. I wasn't paying so I can't comment on value for money but it is a sad, down at heel place. Very sparsely furnished rooms. They don't make your bed unless you ask. Patchy service with one good receptionist/waiter and one who looked very fed up and disengaged. An odd pizza with far too much cheese.

Used this Premier Inn before on multiple occasions. Although what you expect from this chain, the rooms are in need of a bit of redecoration. Did try to get a drink in the bar one evening but the draught beer was all off. If that was fixed, it would get 5's across the board.

Brilliant location for Brighton right in the heart of the City and near to the conference centre (which was our venue). I’ve always liked Premier Inns as you know what you’re getting, they’re clean and pretty modern. Unfortunately, this one is starting to look a bit tired and in need of a refresh. See attached picture of the air duct - the head board on the bed was also a bit worn. That said, it was clean and still pretty much as expected. I’m sure they’ll have it on a refresh agenda soon.

Not half as bad as I was expecting from the previous reviews. It is dated and needs some tlc but it was clean and the staff were friendly, just a shame they seemed so short staffed and run off their feet.

Rooms are tied. Backed onto loading area so from 7am every morning they moved bins and trolleys around, noise was awful. We did request a quieter room.

Kudos to Oliver who went above and beyond in a very challenging atmosphere. It was obviously short staffed, not helped by the check-in kiosks not working,, with a long queue of impatient customers, but Oliver was so helpful, friendly and professional, that I wanted to come on here and make sure he gets recognised for it! Thank you Oliver!
