Just back from an excellent 2 room, 2 night stay at this Premier Inn Hotel. My room 518 was the largest standard room I've ever had in any Premier Inn. The cost for the 2 nights was £131 for each room. We booked around 2 months ago. Each room was very clean and tidy. All equipment worked perfectly. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location is great for the seafront, as well as The Lanes, Pavilion and 360 tower event. I'm rating this 5 stars due to the staff. 2 exceptionally friendly members , Fred Jennings and Oliver Roberts, welcomed us upon arrival at Check-in, and were our dinner host/servers for both nights of our stay too (we had a 2 night meal deal) They are great ambassadors. Highly efficient, attentive and good fun too. Please pass on our thanks, and hope to see them again.

Really disappointing! Some of the staff were friendly, the others I felt their mood was tgat I had inconvenienced them by asking a couple of standard questions. The food and drink at dinner were awful even though I upgraded, the chef didn't know how to do a medium rare steak and sent out a well done steak which over half of if it was fat. The breakfast was absolutely disgusting, full of fat and other healthy choices you could tell had been sitting out too long and was ging stale. The roo was tired, dated, and uncomfortable. The bed was lumpy, the pillow fat as pancakes even with the extra pillows in the wardrobe, no decaff coffee choices in room. Loud construction work out front of the hotel late into the night and screaming, laughing and shouting which came from the adjacent car park. The lifts are tiny, squeaking, and creaking all through floors. Staff didn't ask how I slept, etc. I just wanted to get out of there and get home after my meeting. So disappointing. I'm only giving this 1 star because some staff were friendly. Outside first thing you are confronted with in the lobby is a smell of cigarettes and marijuana where people are smoking under the sign as the first open. Terrible experience.

We are huge fans of Premier Inn and will use them if the opportunity arises ,have managed that here in UK and Germany. I must say this Brighton one is definitely one of the best , simply fabulous Staff so helpful, especially Kajal , when we arrived there was a problem with the electrics they, explained this and were able to reassure it would get sorted quickly which it was , the room was very comfortable and clean , however the cleaner never entered our room in the 3 days , we had to go to her to get towels changed, it did not bother us at the time , but I realise it seems to be a pattern from other comments so needs looking into The restaurant was excellent, wonderful enjoyable food , fabulous service, great deals so you can save on breakfast costs , we Also witnessed great service, a young boy went to the breakfast counter for a special request, he could not speak English and the Staff could not speak French, they quickly worked out his family must be there who can speak English , they found them and everything was solved , so good to see Without any doubt if we are in Brighton again we will stay here , location is perfect, not far to beach etc Every member of Staff was delightful A very enjoyable stay x

Apart from being in city center and walkable distance from all the good site seeing spots and train station, there was no benefits to booking a premier inn. The rooms were worn down and definitely needed deep cleaning. The service was good by the staff but the stuffy rooms can make people sick. Rooms on lower floors would get disturbance due to road traffic during morning hours.

Very good hotel really good location and kind staff. Prices seem to vary and change all the time I have managed to get reasonably priced rooms though more recently prices have been higher which has meant that I have visited less often, around the £60 mark I think is very reasonable and I have been able to find rooms at this price though more recently in Brighton and Worthing rooms have been £100 or more on a regular basis, can’t fault the hotel, food and the kindness of the staff just wonder whether changing the pricing structure to a more rounded price would attract more business across sites though the higher price rooms may be selling

This premier inn is in an incredible location, there are so many shops, restaurants, bars and the front in close proximity. The members of staff are very lovely, very attentive, polite and incredibly helpful. The bar offers a great variety, and the breakfast is plentiful, great standard of food and lovely variety. The rooms themselves were your standard premier inn rooms, spacious, good beds, clean. I took off some stars because the WiFi in room 326 was terrible and I got no mobile data there either. Also the rooms could do with a bit of tlc with a fresh coat of paint

Pros: great central location and had a good night sleep. Cons: no hot water, grubby carpets, lifts weren’t working, kitchen was closed on Sunday morning, auto check in wasn’t working and rubbish left in the room by previous occupant, therefore wasn’t properly cleaned! Overall a pretty dismal experience in this overall grotty hotel.

The staff are lovely and so welcoming but this is by far the worst premier inn I've stayed in. It's dark, the hallways are dirty, the room was dirty. The carpets clearly hadn't been cleaned or vacuumed, there were pubes on the corner of the bath. Walls really need a refresh and the lift is the slowest.

The service was wonderful from staff, particularly Louise and Laticia. The location is wonderful, right in the middle of everything. Felt our room (337) could do with a more thorough clean, particularly the bathroom - door, skirting boards, under the rim of the toilet etc. I imagine it’s because the hotel is so busy, but a regular deep clean would be good for these heavily trafficked rooms.

I arrive at the door it doesn't open, the security guard is sitting in the lobby he looks at me he doesn't move, I pressed the sign marked “press here to open the door” it doesn't open so I press it three more times, it doesn't open he looks up I look at him pleadingly after half a minute more of sitting looking at his phone he manages to get up, perhaps realizing that as he's the only member of staff there it might be him who is required to help customers, he comes to open the door and says why you trying to damage the door? I say naturally I'm trying to get in because I've got a reservation, he says there's no need to be rude, I say I'm just trying to explain why I'm here and hoping that having paid a reservation I might be able to access the hotel and presumed for some reason it's your job to open the door, he says you've got an attitude, I say my attitude is if I’ve paid to stay here I expect to be allowed in quickly by someone who has customer service skills.

Didn't seem at all put off by my weird request for a pints worth of ice at 2am. Stayed in an accessible room which was great. My only issue was whilst the bathroom looked clean it absolutely STUNK of urine extremely strongly like someone had peed all over the floor and it hadn't been cleaned up. Also there were what appeared to be feces stains in the toilet.

So, usually I will happily give any hotel I can get a good night's sleep in a 5 star review for that fact alone and I'm not really a picky person - but I really didn't have a great experience with this place. From the moment we arrived in our room on the second floor, there's been music playing from someone, loud enough to hear it clearly - and to stop us from sleeping. It kept going until late at night - my partner went to reception and asked if they could give us a different room - first they said, they'd check it out. Then nothing happened for an hour, so we went back down to ask again - a member of staff finally came into the room and stated that no one had ever complained about this before. When we pointed out the music to him, he said it wasn't "very loud" - great for him, but he wasn't trying to sleep. When we asked if he could give us a different room, he then said "Well, if I give everyone a different room, someone has to stay in this room and put up with the noise" (which is in direct contradiction to "no one had ever complained") and he said it'd be "the same in any room, that's just Brighton." and several other weird statements. He was very dismissive and only told us to complain to customer relations - he clearly did not care and was not trying in any way to understand us. We've had an awful day with bad personal news and could have done with some empathy and a quiet place. The music kept going all throughout the three days we were there and was constantly on. There was no music on the streets outside, so it might have even come from the bar area or somewhere below us. Our friends stayed in the same hotel as in different floors and couldn't hear anything, so clearly a room swap would have solved the issue. And if that wasn't possible for policy reasons, just say that. My partner spoke to the manager the next day and he was at least more kind and apologetic. They offered us a free breakfast, but since we've had booked something with friends, we weren't able to make use of it. Overall: if you get a good room, it's probably a nice enough place to stay. It's conveniently located, has a bathtub and decently sized rooms with all the basics. But if you're sensitive to noise, better bring ear plugs.

Very run down and tired building, although the location is great for the middle of the city and must admit it’s pretty sound proofed and quiet. During the entire duration of the stay, the Wifi was down. This isn’t acceptable given the amount you pay to stay here, Wifi should be a basic thing supplied! I bought it up several times to staff members only be told the same story of how engineers were called but they didn’t know how long it would be. This isn’t good though….at least offer some money back from the stay or something for compensation. Besides this many of the amenities are old, including the room cards of which we went through several before we finally got one that worked. Also all the self check in terminals were broken. The room was musty smelling and the windows don’t open either which doesn’t help. You had to fill the bath tub up with the shower as the tap didn’t work properly, you also couldn’t get the temperature to be right because of this. We had breakfast there once and it honestly wasn’t that bad given the price and considering you can eat as much as you want, so I would give some points for that.

Terminals downstairs at checkin/checkout don't work, receptionists are friendly though. WiFi doesn't work. We told the receptionist about it on the evening of our first day as well as during the course of the morning of our second day, we were told there are network issues. These issues were not fixed during our stay. Issues with the cards to get access to the hallway and the room. We used up 4 different cards. The first 2 cards didn't work straight away, the third had worked for some time before it stopped working because it was too close to my mobile phone, the fourth one worked the longest in the end. Shower head only comes to my chest, which makes having a shower a bit of a unique workout when you're 6'1 with a dad bod. So you're kinda forced to having a bath if you want more of a comfortable bathroom experience. We have our doubts whether the notice on the window (which cannot be opened... understandable that's done out of security reasons, but not even the slightest bit?), which says a constant stream of fresh air comes into the room, is actually correct. At least the bed was comfortable, room 203 is situated at the quiet backside (with no view to write home about, but whatever), and the continental breakfast was okay. But all and all, this has not been the kind of experience we were expecting for the price we have paid, and what we are used to get from other Premier Inn branches.

We had to leave the first room because it smelled strongly of urine. The lady wanted to fix it with room scent, which she sprayed around so generously that there was a white, slimy coating on our suitcases. Then we got another room. Still dirty, hair everywhere, worn out, but at least it doesn't smell anymore. The bar was closed at 7:30 p.m. and we didn't get anything to drink. The next day I asked for room cleaning. Nobody did. When I asked again at 2 p.m., the gentleman at reception said I should just carry the clean towels up myself. And we had to 7!!! Change the keycards because they no longer worked the next time you entered the room. The service couldn't be worse, and the rooms are dirty and shabby. Absolutely not again! Of course I told all this to the hotel manager, she just said it wasn't her fault.

There were 6 on the bed when I woke up, I videod and photographed, then packed up sharpish and left. I wanted to swap hotels tbh but it was 2am. The room they moved me to didn’t appear to have bed bugs, the manager checked the beds with me, but nothing seemed to have been hoovered in these rooms. General cleanliness like the toilet seat and walls aren’t all that clean. No one in our party had anything nice to say about the food and there were 11 of us.
