We had onion bhajee chicken tikka bhuna, and chicken tikka masala mushroom rice and nans We Cannot fault this restaurant, It was spotless The food was delicious and the restaurant was so full we had a take away Excellent friendly service Beautiful food Spotlessly clean It was so good we came back again the next night Great job prem restaurant

Wide menu choices, generous portions, high quality food. Consistently excellent - we’ve been eating there regularly for many years and never disappointed. Good atmosphere with families, couples and groups. Oh, and crisp white tablecloths! Highly recommended.

The best Curry in the TW area. The food is always excellent and the service is good. They give good recommendations and always go the extra mile. I could not recommend this place enough, I have been going for ten years now and no other restaurant has compared locally.

We booked in advance even though my husband eats here regularly and at least twice a month, because we were meeting friends who were over from USA. When we arrived there was only one party in the whole restaurant. We were taken to the upper section and we asked to sit at a good table which had a reserved sign on it, assuming, stupidly, that it was for us. It wasn't. In fact they questioned us as to when we'd even booked our table. They offered us a different table, hey ho. We told them that we were waiting for our guests but they pressed for us to order nonetheless. When our guest arrived they immediately asked us to order even though they hadn't even had time to read the menu. It was only 7pm. We ordered poppadoms and drinks, and were queried when we requested tap water because the tea our guest ordered took some time to arrive. The younger waiter was disgruntled throughout. The older waiter peculiarly came to thec table at least three times during the meal, leaned forward and said "are you ok?". I returned the question and he departed. Most unusual. The meal was very delayed. They tried to take our poppadoms three times even though we hadn't finished them. Each time more grumpily than the last. When we ordered second drinks, my husband still had drink in his glass and the younger waiter told him to pour it into to new glass! We told him no and just to leave the bottle on the table and again got a grumpy attitude followed by the older waiter asking if we were ok. Not at all conducive to a pleasant meal. The food arrived and the younger disgruntled waiter made such a point of telling me which was the pilau and which was the plain rice that our friend found it hilarious. The food was very good. But as Heston Blumenthal once said, you can have the best food in the world but if the whole dining experience isn't great then it's totally wasted. My husband was due to eat there again tonight with his regular curry group, but after describing our experience last night they decided to try somewhere new instead. Turns out there's a new place in Teddington where the food is as good, and the service so much better. So Prem had not only lost me as a customer but also others that had, until yesterday, been eating there regularly.

We stay in Teddington twice a year and always eat at Prem one night. The good is excellent, the cleanliness is outstanding and the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Highly recommend this restaurant. Doesn't have an inspiring kerb appeal but it's well worth a visit.

I’m a creature of habit and when I want an Indian meal, I want to eat my favourite dishes and spend the day savouring the anticipation! We occasionally stay in Teddington and I was keen to find a restaurant that serves my tandoori favourites. Prem doesn’t disappoint and I enjoyed their version of my favourites. I would recommend!

Great local Indian with a traditional menu which we definitely prefer when we want a curry. Have been eating here happily for many years but have found they have recently become even better probably due to more competition on the high street. However if you want to support a well run traditional curry house this is the place for you - highly recommended.

We walked past the restaurant on the way home and commented on how good it smelt. We were not disappointed when we ordered later on. Lovely flavourful fresh curries and great portion size. My favourite was their tarka Dahl and peshwari nan - heaven !!!! Came within 1/2 hr. Very friendly people. Xx

We eat here twice a year when we are staying in Teddington. The food is excellent. The tables are immaculately laid and we've never had an issue with service. Tonight we had a really great and friendly waiter. Very unusual as I find Indians to be generally exceptionally well mannered but a little reserved though never rude. The bill was very reasonable even by local standards in Chester and certainly for London. I'd unreservedly recommend this restaurant. Incidentally it's always busy so suggest you book.

The poor service and rude attitude of one staff member over shadowed the whole experience. We waited a long time to even have a menu and a drink. We waited over an hour and a half for food. When we attempted to chase up service we were rudely dismissed with a curt ‘We’re busy’. It really wasn’t very busy. We even had to wait to pay the bill. Very unfortunate as when the food did finally arrive it was good. I wouldn’t return.

Nice food but service was very poor. We had to wait ages and repeatedly ask to place our order and again when we wanted the bill and to pay. Although the restaurant was busy - the staff reset tables and were sitting down chatting rather than respond to our requests for service. Once ordered the food arrived quite quickly and was nice. Other tables were also moaning about the service and waited even longer than we did.

Excellent food, great service, definitely worth a visit. There was a slight query with the bill but this was sorted out quickly and efficiently.

I live in Teddington and rely on Prem for good food. I've eaten there regularly over the last 12 years and taken friends and family never had a bad meal. I also have take always from there and they are of the usual high standard. I'm so glad that they survived the covid lockdowns. They are a staple of our high street. Always a warm welcome

Pleasant dinner tonight. Everything was fresh & tasty. Nothing wrong but nothing wildly exciting. The restaurant needs more ambiance - louder music & some large plants or something. It's like a sterile white box.

We visited the restaurant last night. Sadly one of the staff was the rudest waiter I’ve ever encountered. He refused to let us check the order before we placed it. We wasn’t sure he’d got everything correct, so when asking the guy he refused and snatched it from my wife’s hands. Then any order we placed for drinks etc was met with a very bad attitude. Won’t be back. There are better Indian restaurants in the area.

We have eaten here 3 times now over the last couple of years. The food is very good and while you don't get the impression the staff are super attentive everything arrives quickly and accurately. Best local "Indian" in ~Teddington and we've tried most if not all of them.

We had a fabulous meal, excellent service and the only complaint was there was so much of everything we had to leave lots. We've eaten here before when in Teddington and we sill again.

Les plats principaux sont bons, dans le genre classique. Les samoussas manquent vraiment de saveur, on ne sent que la viande, et la tomate sans goût en plein mois de février pour décorer l'assiette, ça ne devrait plus exister. Les nans sont bons, le riz aussi, mais c'est bruyant et assez cher pour ce que c'est.

Booked a table for Saturday night as the restaurant seemed popular.and sure enough it was full. I would like to tell you what the food was like but after 20 mins with nobody bothering or interested in taking even a drinks order we left. Had no confidence that there wouldn't have been a considerable wait for any food as very little was being served in the restaurant there seemed to more going to take away orders. The couple on the table next to us had finished their starters when we were seated but they were still waiting for their mains when we left.

I ordered a lamb tikka masala from this restaurant which was part of the ‘tandoori specialities in sauce’. But the meat was not like any lamb I have ever had before. It was so tough that I struggled to cut it even with a sharp knife (please see photos attached). I was hugely disappointed as this restaurant had been recommended to me by a couple of friends. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. Also, the poppadoms which were ordered did not come with any dips or condiments.

Ordered and told it’d be an hour. Was closer to 2 hours. Food was cold and not great. One of the dishes was wrong. Phoned and faced a rude chap who said “Well... we’re busy.”

Whether you want lamb, chicken or fish, Prem has an amazing selection of authentic dishes which are cooked to perfection.

Could not have survived lockdown without our weekend treat of Prem. Have been a regular of Prem for many years. Would highly recommend. My favourite dish is Chicken Korai. Staff are always polite and welcoming. Thank you Prem 😊

Very rude staff. Tried to charge extortionate amount for water and REFUSED to served tap water until challenged by other customers. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Had a very tasty and pleasant experience eating here as part of the dine out to help out scheme. Great service, tasty curries and more importantly the staff have put in place proper precautions for COVID- face masks and gloves & there were screens between tables.

Food is still good but I wont rush back to eat in again anytime soon. Like many restaurants, takeaway has been a saviour during covid but now when eating in you sit and wait (and then wait some more) whilst takeaway after takeaway is taken past your table as dining in seems to be the last priority, when surely it should be the 1st? 2 1/2 hours with no starters is v slow and even a beer took 45 minutes to arrive! Certainly wont be going here on a rugby night anymore!! Remember Prem - if you want to be a restaurant look after your diners.... otherwise just be a takeaway.

Called for delivery and started by asking for king prawns with lime and garlic. The response was laughter. And then: "We don't do anything like that." I explained that it was at the top of their online menu (Prem creations), and was clearly described as king prawn with lime and garlic. They suggested a name, but also said again that they don't do any dishes with lime and garlic. My laptop had crashed so I said I would call them back with the official name, to be as helpful as possible. I did so and the same staff member rudely said 'I *told* you what it was but you said you didn't know." To give incorrect information ("We don't do anything like that") and to rudely mis-advise a customer who is placing an order from the menu, clearly described, is appalling customer service.

We've eaten in here a few times, but because of the dreaded 'Virus' , my daughter suggested a take-away. Delivery time was long, but they did tell us that when we ordered - so many orders. I had a chicken Balti with a side of Tarka dahl - absolutely superb, my daughter had a veg Dahnsak with the same side also excellent. It was well worth the wait!

My wife and I have been going to Prem for many years now. The food is excellent and varied. The service is exceptional. The customers, single, pair, family or groups get a great meal with great value! This is a restauraunt for life!

Popped into 'Prem' with family for an early evening meal at the weekend - a good decison!The menu has a wide variety of reasonably priced dishes mixing old favourites with house specials. Pickle tray had a very nice chilli sauce ; the chicken and lamb in the ample main courses were good cuts of meat, carefully prepared in sauces that matched exactly the description in the menu. Peshwari Nan one of the best I have eaten. Service was courteous and prompt - there was no problem in packaging the remains of one course for us to take home. The atmosphere was relaxed with some adult diners and a childrens party all clearly enjoying their meals. Overall, excellent value for money. Its nice to see a traditonal Indian restaurant making a great effort. Looking forward to returning next time I am in Teddington.

We went to Prem to have a family meal . The staff were without exception inattentive. We all ordered different mains.When they arrived they looked identical except the dishes in which they were served . They shared one common factor, none had any spices . We left after paying £90 leaving no tip. Absolutely the worst experience NEVER to be repeated . AVOID at all costs.

Really really nice people and food. Would highly recommend visiting this place. No faults. Great experience all round. Going to go back soon.

This is the second time we have eaten here and I resisted from writing a review the first time we visited because some reviewers have suggested that there may be inconsistencies in the quality of the food served here. The previous occasion we ate here was 3 weeks ago and the quality of the food was identical; perfect! On both occasions the food here and particularly the Chicken Tikka, was simply flavoursome, tender and simply fantastic. On both occasions we ordered the vegetarian Thali to accompany it and the amount of food was ample. It's a good old fashioned Indian restaurant at surprisingly reasonable prices, especially for Teddington! Go there, you won't be disappointed!

Packed at weekends, seating all crammed, loud but the service is good, the food is usually a bit dull, but can perk up on occasion when there's a change of chef I imagine

My second visit to Prem, some five years after the first. It was a rank experience and I swore I would never go back. But hey ho, everyone deserves a second chance. So has it improved? Hell no...precisely the same experience. The place was rammed, the service inept and the food devoid of variation. It's what happens when you corner a market and become insufferably complacent, an attitude exemplified by the two gentlemen who appear to be in charge. Never (And I do mean it this time) again!

4 of us ate on a wet Wednesday eve. Pre booked table in window ready for us. Was v busy. Service good & timely. Good variety of curries. Tasty. Only negative was the constant level of noise from the staff talking very loudly to each other at the bar + the banging of bottles into the skip + the collection of many glasses. No consideration or thought or care given to the many diners. Not cheap

Great curry with friends - popular so a bit of a wait for food but well worth it when it did arrive!

Popped into Prem, Teddington with a fellow Naga Curry fanatic who'd told me good things about this Bangladeshi / Indian restaurant. We both ordered Chicken Naga from Prem's 'Creation Menu'. A vegetable side of Sag Poneer and two Pilau Rice. And finally two pints of Bangla Beer to help sooth the heat of the Naga. The service was friendly and very quick. The Prem is obviously a popular haunt as it was virtually full on a Tuesday night. The Chicken Naga was hot as expected, but what was different about this Naga from others I've tried was the addition of large pieces of sliced onion and fresh tomatoes which worked very well with the Naga sauce. Good sized portions equals two very satisfied customers. Will definitely be returning again.

We have been here several times before and will continue to visit...needless to say, the food is excellent, freshly prepared and with lovely combinations of flavours. We have visited during the week, over the weekends, during a quiet night and during the busiest Friday nights but, both the quality of the food and service has always been excellent. We have visited with many family and friends and all agree the food at Prem is excellent.

Prem in High Street, Teddington is a modern, clean Indian restaurant that serves high quality food at very reasonable prices.

Visited during the week. Very nice meal. King prawns were very good and a very good flavour. Big portions especially the rice. Mushroom rice was very tasty

Poor service and average food. Had booked a table, arrived to find no table available. Seated after 10-15 minutes at a table not set up. Was sorted and food order taken fairly promptly but 60 minutes+ later was still waiting for food. Staff response to deal with situation was to attempt to make light, joke it off. When the food arrived it was average and not up to the standard of a previous visit.

We had another excellent meal at this very very good Indian Restaurant. Don't be fooled by other reviews. The food here is very good. At times it can get very busy ie Fri & Sat evenings & you can wait for your food a little longer than normal hence some other negative reviews. Don't be fooled the food is very good & ignore the negativity. Top restaurant.

I’ve been to this curry house many times and always receive a friendly welcome. The food has never disappointed but the Baltis are my favourites.

Loved this place. I had chicken makhani very sweet (maybe a little too sweet) but delucioys chicken all nice breast and very tender. Hubs had chicken biryani and thoroughly enjoyed it. He always has the same - not very adventurous - wherever we go but said it was lovely. Service was fast and inconspicuous. Was a quiet night but I believe later in the week.it's best to book. We've tried a lot of places over the years in Teddington and this is truly one of the best. Don't know how authentic it is but we really enjoyed.

We have ordered from Prem 3 times now and each time the food has been absolutely delicious. They catered to our request to tweak a couple of dishes and they always turn up perfect. If the quality stays like this - we wont be ordering from anywhere else. The bonus is that none of us feel bloated or super thirsty afterwards like some Indian takeaways in the past, which reflects the quality of the ingredients used. Big Thumbs up

Excellent food and large portions served by attentive staff.Often very busy so booking is advised . The large menu offers choices for most tastes and we find the varieties some of the best around.

It’s sunday afternoon and just 1hr 20mins until this amazing restaurant opens. I can only say great things about Prem and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The service is outstanding, the team are warm and friendly every time I come in. The wine is delicious and the beers crisp and refreshing. The food is magnificent, delicious flavored sauces, tender meats and incredible sides.

It was a busy night, but they had enough staff to greet customers at the door. We had booked a table for 2 but had to approach a waiter who reluctantly checked the reservation. The tables all had tablecloth but what struck me that the staff were not very friendly. Service was reasonably fast, even though we had to ask several times for water. Presentation of the food was good. My lamb was sadly not “melt in the mouth” but very chewy and hard. Contrary to his staff, the owner was friendly and smiley. Price for 2 without alcohol or desert was £50 - a little on the high side.

Back in the day, we always went to St Margarets for a curry. Not any more.

Really nice staff make it a pleasure every time . Very patient with older diners , and fussy eaters . The team are excellent hosts always ready to share a joke and accommodate menu tweaks .mr Ali the chef is at his best when not too busy , so go off peak or earlier in the evening for really exquisite Bagladeshi home cooking . Great place for work do's , birthdays etc . It's a good party place , where everyone will join in singing 'happy birthday' . Good people good restaurant

I returned here (after a gap of some years) for dinner after watching England crush Australia at Twickenham. There was quite a wait to start with as they were very busy (including preparing lots of takeaway orders), but the main courses followed pretty soon after our starters. All four of us agreed that our food was very tasty - and the decision to just have water to drink was a good one all round given the amount of beer consumed during the course of the day.

Disgusting I ordered a delivery. After waiting one hour I phoned to be told told when it’s ready bwsited another hour phoned again they said on it way 20 minutes after this my food arrived. Shame on them will not be ordering or going in there again. No apology nothing. Obviously they think they don’t need the custom. I will certainly be letting all my friend know about this restaurant obnoxious attitude

Popadums with a good selection of dips started us off. Prawn biryani, lamb pasanda, chicken tikka masala and butter chicken with some of the best naan bread made for a delightful meal. The staff were friendly and accommodating. A nice place.

Service is fast and the food was everything you would want it to be. We arrived at 9.30pm, it was very busy but we were greeted with a big smile and showed to a table straight away. We recommend Prem and would be delighted to return when next in the area! Well done.

Food was reasonably good, and fairly priced, but let down by the service.

I went on a Sunday evening and it was quite busy. The service was prompt, except that I had to wait a bit to order my main course because they were busy serving drinks at the bar.

As a Teddington local I can tell you Prem gets the top spot when it comes to Ted cuzzas. I have eaten here and had takeaways from Prem countless times and everytime it is delicious (I particularly recommend the Lamb Rizala and the Tandoori lamb chops). Now I have seen lots of reviews regarding the service and I cannot lie the service can be slow, both for takeaway and dining in the restaurant. So you should be prepared for this going in but I for one think it is a proper ruby that is worth the wait!

3 of us visited PREM on Tuesday 18th Sep. All of us loved our meals and all chose totally different dishes. We all had a great meal.

I decided to pop in for lunch earlier today, but my first impressions were not good. The waiter looked startled to see me and I had to ask if they were open. He said "Yes" and then "How many"? I looked round, but there was only me. I wearily said "1". This did not bode well. The "waiter" (an exaggeration) came over with his pad and asked what I wanted. I said the set lunch. Apparently there isn't one. I then ordered Chicken Tikka Bhuna and plain rice. He didn't bother to write it down. He went off towards the kitchen, turned back and said "It was Chicken Bhuna and pilau rice, wasn't it?" I'd ordered 2 items and he'd got them both wrong! Amazing!

Worst dining ever. Poppadoms removed before we had finished eating them so mains could be plonked on the table. Waiter didn't appear to understand why this was considered a bad thing.

Decided to try this indian restaurant for a Saturday night take away as staying with relatives in the area. Great customer service on the phone.The food was the best I have ever had for a take away at an Indian restaurant. The delivery driver was courteous and smart. Each dish was distinctive and very tasty. Will definitely order again when we are up next time.

My favourite restaurant in London. One of the few where I regularly go back to. It has it all, delicious food, good portions, good price, good service. Bravi!!

This was a spontaneous visit after the England semi finals game...although the game was disappointing, we were pleasantly surprised by the food here. My boyfriend had the vegetarian thali white here enjoyed. My "green chicken" was disappointing the only green thing was the coriander garnish which is standard on traditional Indian curries!! Service was slightly on the ruder side some staff however were good. Overall food was OK better than other Indian restaurants on Teddington high Street.

So nice . Go there you are missing out. To use need this to complete your life. It's the best curry out of so many I have had. I can't explain.

We were in Teddington to sort out a dead relatives estate, being a lover of Indian food, I dragged my sister along to the nearest Indian to our hotel. I'm so glad I did, we weren't disappointed one bit! Right from the start we did excellent service, I had prawn dopiaza, my sister had vegetable biriani, both were absolutely fantastic. The house pint was excellent, this all made for a great meal. Highly recommended.

Have heard lots of great things about Prem, so one Friday night we decided to visit. Restaurant was busy - a good sign. But after that it went downhill. The menus were soggy and impossible to open, so we had to ask for more. They didn’t bring one of our dishes but tried to charge us until we pointed it out. Food was good but there wasn’t much difference in flavour between different curries, and there wasn’t much spice. Personally we feel there are better Indian restaurants in the area, so doubt we’ll be back.

Terrible service, waited for ages to be served. Miserable staff. Waited 30mins to get our drinks which was 3 pints of Coke... Rude..we were just talked at by the manager... shame as the food is nice but it took around an hour to be served...then asked to take the rest of the food home. They just decided to throw most of it away. There are other Indian restaurants in Teddington go to one of them because this place is horrendous all down to staff especially the manager. Do not waste your money

After a couple of pints in The Mason's went in here with my daughter and brother. Excellent food and decent price, wine was excellent. Very generous portions - had a couple of 'doggy bags' to take home.

Went to prem on a Wednesday Evening was fairly busy but not overly busy. So the service was promt and attentive I tried the prem creation. Suggested. By one of the staff which was salmon tikka jalfrazi. The tastes worked well. I will definitely be trying the salmon again

Opens at 6 and ordered an early take away. Popped over the road for a pint and back just in time. Lots of food and all very tasty. Good portions. Price reasonable. Liked the chicken dhansak especially.

Visited here recently with a group of friends. A great selection of dishes to choose from with the menu giving guidelines to how hit the dishes are. The food was served and flavours didn't disappoint. Definitely worth a visit

This is my favourite Indian restaurant. It's affordable yet very tasty. Not pretentious at all. Their lamb chops are to die for. Their papadom sauces are yum. Great variety of curries. Totally worth it.

I live about 15 mins from this restaurant and get a takeaway or eat in about once a month and have done for years. Always good food and pleasant service. I don’t go late at night when the pubs have emptied so I’ve not experienced the bad behaviour of others. It’s my first port of call for a curry and there is certainly plenty of choice in the area.

Visited with my son on Sunday evening.not to busy but really loud table next to us.no one told them to calm it down.but by then we had had enough the food was dreadful.The starters onion barghges looked like wrecking balls and I'm sure tasted just as bad I had a lamb and spinach dish that was full of lumps of jelly like fat I feel sick thinking about it my son had a mixed grill.which was tasteless.all in all a disgrace.so today I have been to the bathroom nine times and it's only three in the afternoon.so I paid 40 pound for you to make me unwell.nice.i came here to give you another chance but you didn't deserve it you were actually worse than last time we visited you.

Always visit prem restaurant I try to avoid weekends as gets busy. Not a bad thing but because its so good people go there. This time I tried their newest dish as recommended called chicken 2017 very tasty. Full of flavour. Really was lovely

So we booked a table for two at seven, got a table at 7.30 and food at 8.30 (last night Sept 16th)Following my last disastrous visit I ordered a simple vegetarian side, my partner had a simple chicken dish and a naan and dhal so why we waited an hour goodness knowsPresumably because there were numerous takeaway orders the eat-in customers were treated as an inconvenience.Staff were surly and abruptFood very tasty I must add but will try and remember not to be talked in to visit in futurePeter

Never been here before and a nice place. Very quiet but lots of staff on hand. Of course to the Papadums and an amazing seven sides to go with it. I went for the Meat Thali, well worth it and less effort thinking about it. Food came out quickly and staff always on hand. All was good and very reasonable. Noticed a lot of takeaway customers but there is 15% off over £10, so not surprising.

No competition on the high street for Indian cuisine in my opinion, Prem is the only one we choose to use. Whilst not the most amazing it is consistent. Standard menu that satisfies a curry craving. Not at all greasy and very tasty. Lacks in finesse but hits the spot. Good vegetarian options and reasonably priced. I've never eaten in as the atmosphere is awful! Terrible, depressing lighting and too loud and frantic but takeaways are good. Prem offer a considerable discount if you collect your order too.Staff have always been utterly charming. I am a satisfied customer! (I recommend the sizzling dishes and the Tarka Dahl and the thali is excellent value.)

Been here quite a few times and always rate it highly. The best Indian restaurant around. Always have a lamb curry of some variety and is always spot on. Highly recommend.

We came here after a good review from a friend, we were greeted and shown to our reserved table. It was around 10 mins before we were offered drinks and starters, the staff were miserable. When our food arrived we were all taking and the waiter shouted 'lamb' to make us all be quiet so he could dish out the rest of the food. I wouldn't go here again because staff had no customer service and the food was nice but not omg yum!
