Spice of India in Richmond upon Thames

The tikka masala was horrible today. Hardly any taste, and way more sauce than chicken. It was also very watery, when I mixed my curry and rice together there was a big puddle at the bottom of my bowl! The food was also cold when it arrived (all of it) and the chapatti was soggy. Couldn’t even bare to eat it as it was all so soggy and watery and tasteless. Not sure if it’s different chefs as I’ve ordered from here before and it’s been fine but I definitely won’t be ordering again

Only thing that I'd change is the over fried onion bhaji. Other than that the food was lovely and hot like always.

Driver went to wrong place and insisted the address was wrong when it was correct.

Not the Usual high standard from spice of India very disappointed.. Cold food, boiled chicken added to korma sauce no flavour, Aloo gobi over cooked and mushy .

delivery was quick and food is good, nice big crunchy onion bhajis and food portion. Chicken tikka masala also was nice and sweet and had a good consistency of sauce. chicken was nice and juicy and the special rice was lovely and not watery. this is now my go to curry place.

my usual shop was closed so thought I would give this one a try...WoW!! I definitely was not disappointed!! amazing food everything I ordered was amazing 👏 😋 me and my family thoroughly enjoyed it. fresh great tasting food great portion size thankyou very much! you are now my new favourite restaurant!

We ordered 3 garlic naan, lamb chops mains and chicken tikka masala. Chops was ok, naan bread was frozen, they don’t make it fresh. Tikka masala was awful, full of food colouring no taste at all..

Hi attended Spice of India on recommendation my friend him knowing I really like curry's and to be honest was blown away service was good atmosphere for a Tuesday night being there special offer night where you choose a starter main side dish and bread or rice total £15.00 unbelievable deal of such quality will be visiting again very soon p.s I recommend you give it a try

What can I say ! Food amazing , piping hot and fresh , I'm a Punjabi , Indian , and honestly, the food was cooked just like my mum used to do. The delivery guy too, wonderful, so courteous, and I think he is a waiter in the restaurant, as he was dressed in black and white , will I order again ? most definitely, thank you , keep making lovely food , this place one in a million, thanks !

The food was excellent. One of the best currys I've ever had.

Missing items main dish and 2 portions of rice. Had to wait half an hour to receive these items which lead to the rest of the order sitting there cold until the rice and main dish turned up. Unhelpful staff until I spoke with the manager who was better. Pay loads for a nice takeaway and get treated poorly. First and last time for us very disappointing….

Ordered for delivery late on a Saturday night. Everything was excellent.

Really good curry house, went in late at night, nowhere else was open. Food was really tasty and fresh. The vegetarian options were also great. The Veg Samosas, Bhindi curry & Chicken Shukran. Normally I wouldn't go to an Indian restaurant with 4 stars, I think they are incredibly under rated. Ignore the reviews below, trust me I am Indian, just go.

Ordered on UberEats as my usual go to for Butter Chicken was not accepting orders. I have gone to many different restaurants and honestly this one was not edible for me at all. The butter chicken was sweet with zero spice which is strange, and the rice again had a strange sweet taste to it. Only ate the naan bread and ended up throwing away the rest. They also forgot to send the drink I ordered.

Food delivered on time. Vindaloo tasted like masala straight out the blender instead of a gravy. The chicken and mixed grill were alright but could've been better.

I ordered to the wrong address and called the restaurant and they switched the delivery - my fault but they took care of it. Add to that the food was awesome and had loads of meat. Really good food. Thanks for sorting out the delivery and it was my fault! Well done. Highly recommended.

Ate in here as locals on rugby day just before rugby finished. Clearly they were expecting a rush from the rugby crowd so rushed everything to get us out. Food was okay but rushed service was really poor. Sat us next to kitchen entrance so serving trolley constantly being rammed into my chair. In addition, counter next to kitchen entrance where we were seated is absolutely filthy. It was at the exact eyeline of our seats. Grim. Food wasn't cheap. Continue to prioritise rugby crowd and you'll lose all your local business. Really disappointed.

Delivery was on time however the food is really poor it barely has any taste compared to food I have had before. The rice looks like it’s been half cooked and not mixed properly also taste like it hasn’t had much effort put in. Both curry’s were really watery.

Delivery was late by 25 minutes. Food was very bland with not much taste. Side dish was meant to be a main course dish, but came as a side dish. The driver was rude to the point he told me I should have gone to collect my meal. When the point was to have a delivery services that I had paid extra for.

So we usually order from Twickenham Spice but because they were charging,and I'm not kidding,£80 and with a discount £64 ,we decided to look for a cheaper option but just as good quality food.We chose Spice of India and we're more than pleasantly surprised.Palbear delivered great food that was piping hot with great customer service.The food was amazing and for £46 for three meals it was well worth it and we shall order from here in future.Weve also go food left over so lovely big portion sized.Thankyou so much.

Despite advertising a 20% discount on their website for Mondays, I was unable to obtain the discount. When I called, the person on the phone seemed surprised by the discount altogether. He declined to honour it and instead suggested a convoluted process: order online for a 10% discount, then receive an additional 10% upon collection. It was quite frustrating, and he showed no interest in helping or respecting customer loyalty. As a long-time customer, I’ve decided not to order from this place anymore. The guy on the phone was extremely blunt and seemed to not care at all. While the food at Spice of India is decent, the rudeness and impoliteness of the staff have become too much. It’s truly disappointing!!!

Ordered before shop even opened, got told delivery would be between 5.40 and 6pm, got to 6.10 no sign of delivery and it said it was on its way, sent a message to just eat, who then contacted spice of India who then said delivery would be 6.20, food delivery eventually arrived at 6.25… my son said his butter chicken was not very warm, I also found the lamb samosas were overcooked which is a shame as we have ordered from spice of India several times before

food arrived cold I had to warm up, lamb vindaloo the juice was like water with just spices added into it. lamb was dry and tough the yogurt mint sauce had lumps in could not eat this food it was actually quite disgusting sauce Needs to be loads thicker and not actually taste like water with spices this was definitely not the taste of a vindaloo think I will stick with my normal place I go to would never order from here again absolutely vile

Lovely flavours and good portions

I went with friends and we had a lovely evening here. The food was plentiful and delicious! The drinks are reasonably priced and the service was friendly and attentive. My lamb madras was spicy and tasty and my partner really enjoyed his chicken tikka balti.

I was really fed up that after calling when my order was already 10 mins late I was told that it was 2 mins away! 2 calls later & it arrived 35 minutes late & not hot. They have offered me a 50% discount next time but I won’t use them via Just Eat again.
