I was really fed up that after calling when my order was already 10 mins late I was told that it was 2 mins away! 2 calls later & it arrived 35 minutes late & not hot. They have offered me a 50% discount next time but I won’t use them via Just Eat again.

I recently dined at Spice of India in Whitton, and I feel compelled to share my experience. As a group of vegetarians, my companions and I were dismayed to discover meat in our food. This was particularly concerning as we had specifically requested vegetarian meals. Upon further inquiry, we learned that the restaurant is operated by a group of Bengali Muslims. While I respect people of all backgrounds, I believe it's important for businesses to accurately represent themselves. The restaurant's branding as an Indian establishment may mislead customers who expect authentic Indian cuisine. I urge my fellow Sikhs, Hindus, and anyone else who values honesty in business practices to not go here at all!! . It's essential to support businesses that genuinely reflect our cultural values and preferences. Let's promote inclusivity and understanding while holding businesses accountable for their offerings. Thank you for considering my perspective.

This is my 3rd time at Spice of India for the Tuesday special menu, and once again it did not disappoint. Large delicious portions of food ...so much so that we took some home in boxes for tomorrow. The staff are warm and friendly. The restaurant itself is clean as are the bathrooms. I cannot fault anything. We will be back!

Ordered a takeaway online at 18:42pm, delivery due by 19:25pm. Chased order at 19:47pm and told out for delivery. Chased again at 20.17pm. Order arrived luke warm! Soggy Naan, watery tasteless Jalfrezi and Dupiaza. Only positive was the online ordering process and the large, generous pieces of chicken. Would order again? Sadly no!

Me and my partner went to Spice of India for dinner a few days ago. The drinks took 10 minutes, the starter took 35 minutes to arrive & the mains took another 20 minutes. The service was poor, the owner with glasses was rude & the food was incredibly bland! The only good thing about the restaurant was the woman waitress who was pleasant. I will never be going to Spice Of India again.

Had poppadoms then onion bhaji but its like no time to digest before bringing main out...i can understand on rugby days but this was tonight on tueday 16/01/24 when it was quiet...excellent service and food but need time between courses

The most delicious Indian food I’ve ever had in the area. The delivery is always on time and Parvez (sorry if I’ve misspelled the name) delivered our order promptly and he was professional and polite.

Popadums were a bit hard vegetable curry was a bit too oily

The paratha was cooked great but the butter chicken was just loaded with sugar and no flavour and the chicken had a strange texture and taste

Quite new to Indian food so only ordered a chicken biyrani but they were nice enough to include an extra box of a tasty spicy dish with beans and vegetables and some sort of crispy flat bread. All of it was delicious and superb will be ordering from here again somepoint in future.

As an avid foodie and chef myself, this was excellent. Jalfrezi and Kharai chicken was 10

Very disappointed we went as a family of 4 for banquet night and go there as it opened but was still waiting for food 90 mins later even ordered a takeaway to toe with us and it came out before our food even though it was ordered after starters Food wasn’t very nice when it did come out Was qui wet when we went in but did get bait but no excuse and waiters kept playing with bills to make it look like he was busy Staff were not helpful and quite rude have always used but will think again now

Have been coming to this restaurant for years as we used to live locally. Bit disappointed with our visit this time. The food quality has changed. Found my curry to be too spicy and also a few of the others in our party found the same. My daughter had a Pasanda which should be mild but she found it very spicy. The service was also very slow.

Mushroom rice was beautifully fluffy and light. Samosa's lightly flavored and tandoori chicken to die for and don't get me started on the keema nam mmmmm.

Ordered a delivery through their website for 10 percent off I had a chicken Tikka masala and korma both tasted wonderful with the masala I think they use tandoori chicken wich not all Indian restaurants do that adds the extra flavour they also sell a lovely chicken Tikka wrap wich again not all Indian restaurants sell overall for the first time using this restaurant I'm very impressed great size Portions fresh quality ingredients on time delivery service I will definitely be using them again.

I used to be a regular here but moved away. Back in the area last night, I dropped in. The lamb tikka jalfrezi was amazing and my wife really rated the lamb shank. Very attentive staff and a lovely vibe. Highly rated and recommended.

Wonderful traditionally made Indian food, if you ask for it! Our waiter, Sayeed, made sure we had exactly what we wanted last night. The sag aloo was particularly delicious!

Lovely food, friendly staff. This place gets better and better. Eating here for 7 years or more. They do all you can eat Sunday buffet which is great. Our kids eat the most when we go here.

beware .visited today group of 8 .service wasnt great forgot some of the food and brought out wrong stuff .added service charge to bill of which we asked to be taken off .they removed some but insisted we paid £17 .a service charge does not have to be paid by law and can be removed think restaurant needs check this out

Food was fabulous. It was a rugby day and we didn’t prebook. We should have gone straight to the restaurant but stopped en route for a drink, so ended up waiting about an hour. When I first walked it it was heaving and I had to approach a waiter, he was very offhand and like we are busy, you will have to wait a really long time. Not at all welcoming, I waited still though and was approached by a gentleman who looked as if he was a manager and he was happy to welcome us and offered us a seat in the waiting area and we ordered a drink each. Finally we did get a table and the food was worth the wait as excellent. We declined a menu and just ordered our regular favourite as I feel pondering the menu would delay further, we were keen to eat as getting late We had a main dish chicken, biriyani, naan, bahji’s, poppadoms and dips, two beers and two small wines and was about £80. Shame first waiter was off but it for better from there as the food was hot and tasty.

The lamb karahi didnt taste like other restaurants. Was quite tough but still nice. The samosas were really good. All packaged well.

Pleasantly surprised. The 1st time I ordered from here it was very poor and all the sauces generic but I thought I'd give them another chance. I don't know if they have a new chef but our three meals were delicious.
