Amazing Indian food one of the best I’ve had since my last trip to Mumbai honestly amazing not a bad word to say from the quality to the service and I cannot stop recommend the tandoori mixed grill

I ordered the methi and garlic chilli king prawn curry - the food was full of oil and didn’t taste of anything, I tried to flavour the food myself at home but it couldn’t be saved unfortunately.

I'm not sure what has changed at this restaurant. We have eaten food from this outlet for many years. It's been the best around. Unfortunately the last 2 orders we have had, have been very disappointing. No flavour, very greasey, and just not what we have been used to. I don't know if it's a change of chef or ingredients, but extremely disappointing.

Recently moved in the area and Haveli is our closest Indian, we walked in & ordered a takeaway from there last week. The restaurant was completely empty and we were told in a very unfriendly way that would be a 45 minute wait for a takeaway. The menu is much better value than others in the village so we were keen to try. When we did have the food it looked delicious but it was incredibly bland, we were adding our own salt, chilli & methi at home to our dishes - never a good start! Won’t be going back anytime time soon but tried another indian further down the village which was fantastic!!!!

We used St Margarets' Haweli for years and really loved it so when we moved, we tried the Barnes one and were massively disappointed and didn't try again for a couple of years. We decided to risk it again this week and I feel compelled to review it because it was great – perhaps not excellent, but certainly very good. Maybe they have a new chef, or we just got a bad night last time? Anyway, we'll be back. ––––––––––––––––––– Update: had another take away since my last review and it was decidedly underwhelming: not bad in any way, just not very special. Nice people, good service, but the food can be very... uninspiring...

Great local curry house. Not at the bottom end of the price spectrum (around a tenner for mains) but proper quality food. Really good rezala (nicely sour, not over spicy) and saag paneer, nice fluffy naan. Also some interesting Indian bottled beer I'd not tried before - White Rhino, well worth a go!

After using the BRILLIANT Haweli in St Margarets on an almost weekly basis for many years, we moved to Barnes and decided to try Haweli on White Hart lane here but both times we've had take aways from there, we've been really disappointed. The food isn't bad, it's just very average – infact, it's below average. Last night we had curry, rice and naan – both curries were just very flat and nothingy: no life, no depth of flavour, no colour. The curries from St Margarets Haweli were vibrant with fresh herbs – really zingy and full of flavour. The curries I've had from this one are dull and instantly forgettable. And at 9 quid for just a curry, this is actually really poor value. We asked for one plain naan and one peshwari – we got home and realised we had two plain naans, one of was dry and leathery so we threw it away. It's such a shame – if this was as good as the St M's one, we'd be in there every week. Time for a new chef.

I’m sorry but the food was absolutely awful. Totally inedible. The rices was hard and uncooked, the chicken dry. The pastry of the samosas was still pasty and soft as they hadn’t been fried long enough. The “kheema” in the naan was a ready bought frozen kebab sliced in half and stuck into the dough. Sickly sweet curries with unbalanced flavours. It seemed as though the chef had no taste-buds as all the food had a far too strong a flavour profile, leaning towards a saccharine sugaryness, overly bitter and vinegary, or an unpalatable combination of all three. The menu is very large and varied but clearly the chefs have forgotten how to cook half of the items anyway. Chapati on the prawn puree was too doughey as was were the naans, thick and stodgy eventually becoming limp and soggy. The radioactive green chicken hirayali came as a menthol mess with a toothpaste like quality, though that could at least be washed down with a nice cold draft kingfisher. It is a shame, as the meal started well with a decent platter of papadums and chutneys, but clearly Haweli's expansionism- having opened several branches around South-West London-has marred the quality of the food by most likely losing decent chefs. It is possible that it could just have been a bad night, but with some exceptionally good Indian restaurants gracing this part of London, such as Indian Express in West Kensington, no amount of 'sweet-talk' will be bringing us back!
