Twice now I have asked for steak and onion and have received cheese and onion. Useless staff who don't listen.

The food was not even like warm. The staff were talking among themselves while the queue for piled up. The layout is ugly and I can’t believe how little selection they had

Price wise they are hard to beat with many pies, pasties and sausage rolls and breads sold at two for half the price of one from other bakeries like Greggs. The service is poor however as staff seem to expect customers to know what they want to order before the customers get to see what the choices are. The queue often means you don't see the [ies on offer until you reach the till area (many are in a glass display right in front of the service area) so you can't often just walk up and ask immediately for what you would like unless you just want the same thing as last time you went in. This makes staff look at you in impatient exasperation. They need to be patient or offer better menu and display information.

There was one member of staff on at the time of my visit with my friend. The shop was taking cash only at the time, the card machine was not available. I watched the lady as she served the people in front of us. She used tongues to put food in bags and her hands to take change. This is fine. She paused serving the line as we got to the front to fetch a box of frozen pasties from the back. She put this box on the back counter, reached into the box with her hands to remove frozen pasties and then placed them on a baking try to bake. She did not wash her hands between handling cash (notes and coins) and handling frozen pasties. This potentially contaminates the pasties and is a food hygiene and safety risk. Because money is passed from person to person and never washed. She used these same hands to handle food which was then served to customers. She did not wash her hands before handling food. Needless to say, I ended up not getting food from this bakery and I don't think I could ever again after seeing the way that food is handled here. This makes me think about what other violations may go on inside this bakery. It is not safe to eat here, especially during norovirus and vomiting bug season if staff don't take hand washing and food safety seriously. Please educate your staff about cash handling in regards to food hygiene and safety.

Always fast and efficient. They could put more fillings in the sandwiches and pies / slices but its usually good quality. Take it and run.

Only a takeaway but always smells good and is very tasty. Obviously for the price there could be more fillings but I have never had a bad snack ever. Most of it is 2 for a pound; who can complain too much? The staff are lovely and helpful. Well done guys - you probably need a pay rise though.

This has to be the bargain of the year: two chicken bakes for £1 when they are over £1 for one at Greggs across the road. I was amazed. They tasted almost the same (although there were fewer chunks of chicken), which was very good. They also have a range of sandwiches on sale at modest prices.

Very unprofessional woman charged us £7 for the children’s £3.99 meal when another member’s of staff told her it wasn’t correct which we new she continued to be rude and we paid the £7 for a children’s nugget meal she wouldn’t give us the drink options and said Coca Cola was the only option for my 3 year old.

I was worried about the young people who I've seen hanging around here, and it was great to see that they have a bouncer on the door restricting access to adults and families. Some people had to show ID to gain entry, presumably it was over 18s only. But I won't be returning any time soon, I could do without taking my young children to a place where we have to wade through people arguing to try and get in and I can imagine it gets quite aggressive at times

This takeaway lied to say they are hmrc approved. Hmrc doesnt list them as halal at all. We questioned this and were told you can either buy what they have or leave as they will not clarify anything. We asked where they get their meat from. They said its halal and thats all we need to know. The stickers are on display etc. we told them hmrc hasnt approved them as we checked so the stickers are false. But if they are approved by any other halal monitoring body then thats fine but they said they dont have to explain themselves. The attitude was appalling and dismissive so we left and ordered our food elsewhere where the owners/staff can explain and verify where the meat comes from. As a consumer we should be allowed to ask basic questions re where the food we are being served is coming from. But this owner didnt want to answer any questions and lied about the halal status with hmrc which left us doubting its halal status entirely.
