Absolutely disgusting food in every way, portions were tiny, some food was burnt some undercooked and all was very pricey, £15 for a burger that didn’t even come near to a macdonalds standard. Nearly everything looked and tasted like it had been microwaved..

Great food , great service from the staff. Lovley location. Really needs the word to get out on this as its lovley! Recomend it

Really good pub and restaurant on the canal. Good food and beers in great atmosphere and location. Theirs also accommodating on site in the form of motel rooms. Inside the pub is good with good decor and helpful and friendly staff. Outside theirs plenty of seating with a birds eye view of the canal itself. Nice location and atmosphere. A really underrated dining and drinking destination.

Lovely Sunday lunch, staff polite and helpful.

Lovely lunch by the side of the river,what more could you ask for. Staff were very helpful and told us all the food that was on there menu. There sweet menu was excellent and potions very filling.

A little hidden gem. On the water, they show the sports. What more could you want?!

Social distancing did not allow for the full experience,but we had coffee ,would go back for a meal,motel on site very handy if to much to drink

Eat out to help out encouraged us to book a post covid lockdown meal for 5 and have to say we were impressed with the service, the social distancing measures put in place, the hygiene and most of all the food. Our party had a selection of Chicken, steak, brisket and Rib dishes and all were well presented, well cooked and plentiful. The desert choice was not so varied but to be honest we were pretty full from the main course so we just had a drink each and called it a night

This place does cracking food. Its generally pretty quite, which is a shame. Its along the canal, so great for drinks. Although unfortunately dogs aren't welcome.

A completely different appearance and feel from what it used to be. I would recommend it for atmosphere, décor, quality of food and price. Friendly staff. We'll worth a visit.

Not what I would really call a steakhouse. Went for Sunday lunch some of the staff were brilliant others were rude and miserable! Food wasn't the best standard seems like cheap ingredients and over cooked

Regular game of pool with friends. Always a friendly and warm welcome from the staff.

Went with may family on the 3.8.19 As we walked in the lady asked how many and sat us at a very nice table all 5 of us had so much room the starters were amazing as was the main and pudding the restaurant its self is a lovely place the staff were the best I have met nothing was to much to ask for when we got there it was not that busy but then a BIG group come in and the staff looked after everyone the same. Can't wait to go back there if you have not been there it's a must

Staff really friendly and accommodating, food was very tasty and plenty of options plus beautiful views of the canal.

How a pub that is on the river that has a garden will not allow dogs in makes no sense at all. Don't let them in the pub is one thing and other places do that but not even to have a dog friendly garden. No wonder it was quiet on a sunny sunday afternoon when it was packed at the canal centre. Avoid. Someone wrong with people that dont like dogs.

Doesn't understand vegetarian meals, parmesan isn't veggie.

I stopped a couple of nights at the hotel and eat there a couple of times. Accommodation was okay although the Wi-Fi didnt work. Beer was a bit bland and food was hit and miss, chicken burger was rubbish but the mushroom tagliatelle was nice.

From the outside Potters looks like a working mans club. Its sadly deceptive as inside is an undiscovered local gem. Food here is excellent and staff are attentive. As a steak restaurant it does not disappoint. The facilities are clean and modern. The bar area is better than local pubs. I would highly recommend as a local resident

Use to go there all time for a drink after mountain biking but then they got the hump with us parking there. Shame seeing we visited the venue every time we rode for snacks and drinks.

We had a very enjoyable lunch. The service was polite and attentive, and the food and drinks came quickly. The food was very well cooked and presented. The price was also very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

I'm a real foodie and eat out at lots of different places all the time, this place came highly recommended, so decided to take my partner for her birthday and was not disappointed, really nice setting, food was extremely well-presented and taste absolutely amazing,I found it to be extremely reasonably priced considering the quality of the food and service, my partner and I both loved it and will be returning!!, Keep up the good work girls and guys!!😋😁

Recent refurbishment makes this a pleasant place to be and they've upped their game re menu. Had lovely Sunday roast, £14.50 for 2 courses, delicious. Give it a try, really!

Had a great reception from the staff and owner, all very happy. Went back into the pub at lunchtime we had a great carvery, food well cooked and lots of it, staff very helpful too. Recommend the place really homely.

Incredible food & friendly atmosphere

We dined early with a 4 year old. We only ordered main courses but everyone very pleased with what they had. Steak, salmon burger and pasta. It was quiet and the service was lovely. The waitress even rushed into the carpark after us with a small toy which had been left behind.

We stayed the night here whilst visiting family. We didn't eat but did have a couple of beers before retiring. The staff were friendly and the beer excellent. The lodges are basic but very clean and comfortable. We will be back

Quite a quiet place to have a bite to eat! Lovely location too, backing onto the Basingstoke canal! Nice to sit outside when the weather is good!

We went there with high expectations, the food was ok, the staff friendly and polite, the weather was lovely ( it was last Saturday) the sun shining a couple of people came in to the beer garden where we were. A few minutes later they were joined by some more friends/family. A member of the group started to gently roll a ball along the grass, to a little person it was lovely to watch.......In the meantime there were a group of middle aged men effing and blinding. A member of staff came out into the garden and my partner and I thought she was going to say something to the rowdy bunch of men.......but oh no.........she asked the man to stop playing football...we have rules......no football here!!!!! Mr Potter have you never heard of ' using your DISCRETION'? I WOULD NOT VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN.

Been here a couple of times now for food and drinks. The view and facilities are great but the food is hit and miss. The portion sizes for their Sunday roast are tiny and considering I paid 14.50 I expected more veg then some cabbage and carrots

Very busy when I visited as England were playing in the world cup. But there were only 2 bar staff and one chef. So there were ridiculously long waits for rushed service from stressed grumpy staff. Some food prices were different to the ones in their web page. Food was average, the coleslaw came in a pot smaller than an egg cup. I wasn't impressed and won't be rushing back

Very good meal and excellent service at the table.

Really lovely venue, food was good, but the girl that was serving us struggled to understand. I think she had support to l from her managers which is good, but ultimately, we served the wrong food and unfortunately that's not great-my husband (who's birthday out was) had to wait for his starter to arrive after they gave him the wrong food.

Website needs to be updated. I was looking forward to some cocktails after the meal which was ok but was told they don't do cocktails.. how disappointing and misleading

The Tomahawk 28oz rib eye for two was magnificent, requested it blue and it was perfectly seared. Staters were great too, but leave enough room for the main course!

Has been completely refurbished and the new menu is fantastic, tasty and reasonably priced. Had a lovely meal with a table right next to the canal!
