Ordered 4 take away meals from Portsoy coffee shop. The food was of a very high standard and tasted delicious. Portion size was very good. We phoned in our order in the morning and collected our order at the arranged time. The member of staff was very friendly. The only downside was we were not given a bag to carry the food which made it awkward to carry home.

This little coffee shop is a hidden gem and earns all 5 stars. We visited on a wet and windy day, the waitress managed to squeeze us in. I cannot emphasise enough how nice the staff were to us, they accommodated our needs food wise and chef cooks and prepared all the food individually for each customer. There are only a few tables, so on a busy day you might have to wait, but it’s well worth it. Our food was delicious, the drinks are lovely. And I can’t wait to return! Thank you! Xx

We visited this wee bistro a while back and the Cullen Skink was amazing . Popped in again on a cold, wet Saturday lunchtime. The wee bistro was really busy but we managed to find a table and the lovely friendly service was just as we remembered it to be. The Cullen Skink is simply amazing and served with fresh local bread and butter or oatcakes . A hearty portion meant we had no room for the home bakes ( which looked soo tasty ) - or the home made clootie dumpling or sticky toffee pudding - but we will definitely be back to sample it on our next day trip through that way !! Well worth a visit - the Cullen Skink and friendly service is second to none !!

Our first visit here. Found just off the main through road of Portsoy (near to and the opposite side of the Co-Op store). Not a lot of parking down the narrow street where the cafe's located.A small cafe, with about 6 tables. Nice, quaint and cosy. Friendly, attentive staff. My lentil, bacon and vegetable soup was grand (under £4), as was my hot chocolate (£2.90). I found the place a wee gem!

We had a lovely lunch here, ham and brie toastie, with coffee. The toastie was brilliant, lots of filling. This is the second time a group of eighteen amblers took over the coffee shop prior to walking in Portsoy. Jill (the owner) deserves a medal - she is the epitomy of the perfect hostess - oven fresh scones in a selection of flavours, tables beautifully set out and piping hot drinks. The service is slick with every attention to detail. Well done.

Visited Portsoy for the 1st time on Friday and having read reviews decided this would be a good place to stop. Got talking to a group of women beside who advised us of the large portions so we decided to share a toasted sandwich so we had room for coffee and cake afterwards! This was not a problem for the friendly and helpful staff and a second plate was provided. The bacon, brie and cranberry toastie was the best that we have had, properly toasted and packed with filling. I had read about the artisan coffee and it was of excellent quality, we both chose cappucinos and shared a homemade brownie which had the added twist of cream cheese and walnuts and it was lovely and lighter and tastier than your usual brownie. If in the area again would definitely stop by.

We were here today around noon.Obviously we'd timed it right as within 20 minutes it was a full house. The staff were very efficient and attentive. We were asked when we'd like our coffees and we opted to have our drinks after our main course. I chose a small panini filled with sweet chilli chicken, accompanied with a side salad & crisps, and coleslaw (which I opted out of). It was delicious. My husband had a bacon & egg bap. He said it was very tasty. We saved a space for some homebakes. We'd a chocolate brownie, with cream cheese filling, and a chocolate aero slice. We had friends visiting us on the Boat Festival weekend and had planned to go out for dinner on the Saturday night. By chance we noticed that the coffee shop was opened that evening (it is usually only opened during the day or evenings by request). Being a small establishment the menu was limited but was on offer, Lasagne, Fish & chips etc. was very good, both in taste and in value. The staff were excellent, and very patient, our guests were almost half an hour late but nothing was too much trouble!! An added bonus was that although the cafe wasn't licensed for selling alcohol, we were allowed to bring in our own bottle of wine I would recommend the coffee shop for snacks/soups or lunches and also to use for private parties.

We stumbled upon here when we desperate for a coffee and tea while on a long journey on a Sunday evening (15 June 2014). What a find! This is a super cafe and the 2 young girls who served us were excellent. I highly recommend.

Small, but perfectly formed cafe, serving delicious food to us two hungry cyclists. Excellent Cullen Skink, jacket spud and sandwiches. Bought a piece of bridal slice to take away - very tasty.Spotlessly clean with friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

Taken to the café by my brother and sister in law who are in the middle of moving to Portsoy, its a wee gem of a place, not large but quite a comprehensive menu with I think 4 specials on the board. Quick friendly service and delicious piping hot food. Unfortunately no room for one of the lovely sounding puddings which I understand are homemade, which was a shame, but definitely recommend anyone to this coffee shop and would definitely return !

Cullen skink the best we have ever tried ! Puddings were all home prepared and were simply fantastic, especially the peach, mandarin and sultana crumble. Great value for money. We'll definitely be back if we visit this beautiful part of Scotland again !

This wee cafe is bustling in summer and popular even at this time of year. Good choice of tasty foods, freshly prepared and good service, handy location at east end of village.

We were visiting Portsoy from nr Alford Aberdeenshire, and just happened across this place by chance. We had the Cullen Skink soup which was delicious, home cooked and very filling. Having seen another customer having the Sticky Toffee pudding, I just couldn't resist. Again, it was lovely and homemade. I would totally recommend popping in here if you are staying or passing through Portsoy. We certainly will be next time we are there.

We stopped in by chance for lunch whilst on a golfing holiday. We had Cullen Skink which was excellent followed by desserts which could have easily graced a 5 star restaurant. I had Clootie dumpling with marmalade custard, and my wife had apple and plum crumble with Portsoy ice cream.Service was warm and friendly and we'll certainly be back
