Friendly and polite staff very reasonably priced and the food is delicious. Had a mega mixed grill to share with my son with a naan bread and masala chips and a portion of madras sauce all to share. Would definitely recommend.

Went to the Port and Ale today for hubby's birthday treat. Everything was great from the moment we walked in. Great friendly and professional service. And the food was excellent, best we've had in a long time. Steve had the Goat Curry, which was rich and tasty, with a deep flavour. The meat was melt in the mouth tender. My son and I shared a Mega Grill, which was delicious. A mini mountain of different meat, chicken and fish on a sizzling platter, we even had enough to take some home. The young man serving us was friendly, polite and professional, very attentive. We would definitely recommend this place, we'll definitely be going again.

Went in for special Sunday treat (my birthday) food and service was excellent, staff were friendly and polite, wish I had tried the Port n ale sooner,what a gem of a place,I had curried goat with fried rice and battered chilli chips ,my wife and son shared a megger grill with battered chilli chips and garlic naan, every thing was delicious,the best curry I have had in long time , definitely recommend to any one looking for great quality Indian food.

Ordered a buttered chicken that came hotter than a madras , asked bar staff ,told me it comes mild and should ask next time make it cooler ???. I never asked it to be spicy , a butter chicken curry should be as mild as a korma . Eaten from the jolly sailor there other pub was awesome 👌, how can you run a pub and tell me next time tell us not make a butter chicken curry got . Really put me off this pub ,jolly sailor from now I think .

The food is lovely, I suffer with IBS ,so I was a bit worried, but I was absolutely fine.

The place had nice food and grill. I would recommend they change the sauces recipe for both mint and chilli sauce to much nicer taste. Also the chilli chips I did not like they would need to change the recipe for this to.

Beautiful!! The food was amazing, just perfect. We shared a mixed grill and it was so succulent and so much flavor. I can not fault it. The staff are really polite and attentive. Lovely atmosphere and a wonderful afternoon meal. Highly recommend.

Collected a takeaway,mega mix grill and veg biryani, from outside it needs a lick of paint but inside it's fine for eating in , good selection of beers and quick service, takeaway took 15 minutes. Food at home was piping hot and quite large. Mix grill was enough for 3 and was very tasty and well cooked,as was the biryani. The sauce's provided were also very good. Will definitely be going there again!

Had take a way from here chicken tikka masala usually you only get 5 or 6 pieces of chicken but here you get at least 15 pieces great value

This is my local place, been going here for years and it has ALWAYS been an amazing place to visit! The manage Lal is always welcoming and has exceptional customer service to ensure all visits are enjoyable. The rest of the staff are all lovely and professional and the place has some of the best food in the area!

Great food, which is what the place is about to be fair, but the drinks choice is just basic fizzy lager, fizzy cider and Guinness so cold you can't taste it.

I Dont normally ever do a review but this place needs 0 stars and if It wasn't for a family member that looks at what thay eat before thay put in there mouth we would of been very ill chicken was completely raw ! Not even undercooked it was completely raw ! Yes thay changed it but that's not the point plus inside is very dated best to go 5mins down the road to somewhere eles .. AVOID

Had a mixed Grill the meat was fatty and chewy. Chips where okay.

Food was really really good. Came back as I tried veggie chicken tikka and was blown away came back had a mixed grill and a few of the curries and it didn't disappoint great flavours and good portions

Poorest experience of my life, food never arrived and in addition staff knowingly ignores the call when they been informed that food is for children. Shameless act of the restaurant and Uber. Must not be used ever again

Use this pub fairly regular, mostly just for a drink. But the few times I do eat there I'm never disappointed. Lovely staff, nice pint of carling, lovely food.

Ordered via uber eats and the food was awful. Extremely runny chicken tikka masala which was also bland and barely any chicken but a lot of sauce. Rogan Josh was also poor. Disappointing considering the good reviews

Very noisy football supporters with very bad language, we had children with us so the food was lovely but could have done without the swearing

Had not eaten here before but certainly will go back! A lovely greeting when entering, wide range of beers on offer, a table had been reserved in advance for 4 and TV screens showing sport on every wall. It isn't table service, you order at the kitchen hatch and collect your own drinks from the bar. Food arrived promptly, 8 poppadoms and sauces, 4 mains, 2 rice and 4 naan breads. Piping hot and packed with flavour. £53 in total. I had saag paneer and thought it was one of the best I have ever tasted. My wife had saag balti and asked if she could have extra vegetables in it. The chef explained it may ruin the taste if she did, and he wasn't wrong, she said it was beautiful. I know, I finished the bit she couldn't eat! The other 2 dishes were chicken and lamb and seemed to have plenty of meat in them and lots of compliments about the flavour. Rice and naans were lovely too. Staff were super friendly and there was a nice atmosphere in the venue. Don't expect a restaurant, it is a pub serving very nice food. Highly recommended and look forward to my next visit.

It all depends when you order if they are quite you will get Good food but quantity is going down day by day for the money they charging and if they are busy you can tell they cooked the food in a rush and your food isn’t tasty

First time order.never again .never had such bad food.chips was all. Oil congealed fat.not cooked properly. Intact it was all shocking never again it's in the bin and now got to spend another 20 pound to eat

The restaurant inside the pub looks to be run by a different party. But this review is for both part, the pub and the restaurant. The service of the pub was really good and friendly. The one of the best Indian food is served by the restaurant. Their mixed grill and naan was really one of the best I had lately.

Midweek, not too busy, large screens showing football. Ok indian food and decent tandoori mixed kebabs. More about the portion size than quality, though all food was generally good. Decent beets on tap.

I visit this place whenever i visit my mother, i always go alone and enjoy every bit of it! The only grill and bar that i know that does cod fish pakora and it is absolutely amazing! The staff and customers are always friendly and welcoming, i even left my wallet on the slots machine and a gentleman came over to my table with it! It's the second thing i look forward to the most.. after seeing my mother of course! Thank you Port 'N' Ale!
