Tried for the first time , had a very minor hiccup . Excellent driver and management staff . but the food is were it counts and yes we will be ordering again.

Lovely food and great service would recommend this little restaurant nothing to much trouble for the staff went as a couple and there was no rush to order can have a drink at your leisure and then order your food

I ordered some food online as family we were crabing some curry. If you have eating indian authentic food , you wouldnt want to eat here.

We used to be regular customers here but after tonight's experience can't say we will be going there again! Had trouble ordering online so phoned them up to place the order (3 mains with rice and 2 naan) and paid for it was told it would take about an hour (understandable for a Saturday night) however when the order hadn't turned up 1hr 30mins after ordering I called and was told that it was on its way... 40 minuets still nothing called them up and turns out the order didn't get sent through to the kitchen! Very disappointing now waiting for a refund and won't be returning and will be going else where! Ended up having to go to Cove Onon and had a very nice battered sausage and chips

Just wanted to say had a really nice lockdown delivery this evening from Popadoms. Online ordering was easy, delivery was quick, food quality very tasty and arrived piping hot. This was first time ordering with them and will definitely be going back for any future curries as been let down before from other local restaurants in Farnborough.

We have been using Poppadoms for many years but I think I standards are slipping. We ordered a home delivery this evening and when it arrived it was barely warm, so I rang to let them k ow and we got a partial refund which fine, but on my second mouthful of the curry there aere 2 long hairs in it. phoned and got a full refund,but wont be using them again.

Takeaways don’t often feature in my reviews, but this one is worth it - in the menu there was a new item - Mustang Chicken - glad I tried it was so nice - fusion of Indian and a hint of Chinese. We don’t go anywhere else for Indian takeaways now - Popadoms have (fingers crossed) never failed to deliver on quality.

What can I say excellent little place never fails to serve up the best food. We were a party of three enjoying a girlie catch up had to wait a little Longer than usual but this was because it was so busy due to the discount promotion yet as always the food was excellent and the portion sizes above average the staff were helpful and polite would recommend this little place

Came here for a birthday meal for a friend and we were delighted with our experience. The food is out of this world! We asked our waiter to order for us we given a wonderful array of different food that was a mix of Nepalese and Indian. For sure, we will be back here! :)

After having Ghandi’s revenge all night, I have decided to write this review. We ordered to separate curries and got two exactly the same, the sides looked like they had be regurgitated by a small animal and didn’t taste much better. Then to top it all off my favourite nan bread (keema nan) looked like it had been running across the road when it got hit by truck, I have never in all my days had such a disgusting meal and shall not be using them again!

Very disappointed this evening have used Popadoms many times . I had large prawns biryani with vegetable curry. 5 prawns in the biryani and 1 tiny piece of potatoe lots of sweet corn and a couple of pieces of green pepper (vegetable curry).!!! Not at all like a 'proper biryani' . My husband had Lamb Dhansk usally hot and sweet but which he said tasted like a normal curry. Don't know what's gone wrong !!!

Well what a lovely surprise I haven eaten here in years and all I can say I wish I had. The food is excellent and quite large dishes. The staff are very polite and friendly and there is no rush at all love this place

In truth, we only went here because we couldn't get into one of the two Weatherspoons in the area. What a blessing that turned out to be.

we go to Popadoms quite often as it's quite near to where we live and in walking distance. Sometimes when we have visitors, it is worth booking a table earlier as it gets quite busy. The food is lovely, I tend to stick to the same menu as on a diet, but my son has tried most things, and we are very satisfied. The staff make you very welcome too

I've be coming to this restaurant for quite a few months now, and also had a few takeaways. It's my new favourite restaurant. The menu is nicely varied and a bit different with a Nepalese influence. The food is top notch and has never disappointed. The staff are quite helpful, friendly and attentive. Parking is easy and very close to the entrance which is handy. The bottom line is that I absolutely recommend this restaurant and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Went for dinner with my husband midweek. It's the second time we have visited and we weren't disappointed.

Had to write a review as we regularly order from here and have consistantly had a fantastic meal. Each meal is as delicious as the last time we ordered. Delivery time is always reasonable. The staff i have encountered have always done everything they can to accomodate our order and are exceptionally polite to all. Keep up the great work your amazing.

Definately the best Indian restaurant in Farnborough. Food is tremendous and the service excellent. Always book on a Friday or Saturday night otherwise you will not get a table. Car parking is easy and the staff very friendly. A good range of drinks and prompt service means you will not be disappointed. A group of us regularly eat here on a Saturday night.

Very good food - have never let us down. We have been visiting the sister restaurant to this which sadly closed down because of the lease running out. The quality of the food is always great and more importantly consistent - be it for a takeaway or for dining in. Staff are friendly;

Just spent a lovely relaxing evening at Popadoms. The food was amazing and extra dietary requirements catered for there and then. Attentive, friendly staff make you feel properly looked after.

Never anything but excellent food and a warm welcome from the staff at this small and cosy restaurant, tucked away in Farnborough. Easily the best curry in the local area, the staff are professional, friendly and extremely courteous. I had only been here once before many years ago and remembered having a very good meal then so when I was meeting a friend one evening who lives just round the corner it seemed an ideal venue to go back to.

We have been eating at Popadoms for nearly 20 years and the the food the restaurant and the service. If you like Indian food you have to visit Popadoms it’s easily the best in Farnborough by far.

Decided to have a meal in restaurant as had only had take away from here previously. Was not disappointed meal was better then take away and take aways had always been excellent.

There are quite a few Indian restaurants in Farnborough but I have found popadoms to be pretty consistent - there is a very small seating area in the restaurant itself but their delivery/take away is by far the most popular part of their business - when ever I order take away I use popadoms - the menu is varied and has a few special dishes from the chefs home town. Try them next time.

I can't think of anywhere else that I could offer such a long-term review for as Popadoms in Cove. I've had many meals there over the years since some point in the mid-late nineties. I am a huge fan of curries and Indian food and have eaten in many restaurants both expensive and high street and Popadoms has consistently produced amazing food married to courteous, friendly and attentive - but not overly attentive - service. I must have eaten at Popadoms in excess of 50 times and I can't recall ever having experienced a bad meal. I've tried a good 80% of the menu and from top to bottom it is richly flavoured, well cooked and clearly created using great, fresh ingredients.

With a variety of good food and great selection of wines this is a great restuarant for family and friends.

This is our local "Indian" and we love it. We have always had great food in the restaurant, not always the same with take aways though. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are friendly, it has a real homely feel about it but with a 5 star dining experience.

Order a curry this evening and considering i had the smallest order it was so overpriced! And had to wait ages for my order i walked in and practically got ignored by staff! The curry tasted like it had come out of a can and was not fresh atall the rice tasted like lots of different things thrown into a pan was way to mixmatch. The other thing i found was the appearence of the resturant being new in the area i didnt know what to expect i pulled up outside and thought what the hell have i done ordering from somewhere like this. I stopped being narrow minded and just went in the resturant was tiny and old looking like it was in need of a referb the waiters needed more training as they had no clue. Wouldnt order from here again unfortunatly

I visited Popadoms we 2 friends. The venue is small and intimate. We visited on a Friday evening and booked a table prior to our visit as it was full. There are plenty of staff and they are friendly and attentive.We ordered a started to share Mixed Starter and we had two as there were three of us and it was all totally delicious.We ordered two main meals to share, Rogan Josh and Chicken Nasilia, plus rice, a saag aloo and a peshwari naan. The whole meal was very enjoyable and tasty, we ate too much ! I would recommend a visit or they offer a take away service.The prices are very reasonable and it is very good value for money.

We have been going to Popadoms for many years now and have always found it to be the best place in town to eat Indian. With a cozy friendly atmosphere friendly staff and an amazing menus. I would recommend anyone who loves Indian visit Popersoms.

Due to sister resaurant Zaffron closing, we decided to try Popadoms instead. It's only a 10 minute walk from home. The food is lovely here. Authentic Indian. Good to see many of the staff from Zaffron have moved here including Yogi. He is always a delight to talk to and has good humour. Look out for the staff member we loving call 'Odd Job' he's fantastic too. The place could do with an update, but it's clean and tidy. Only a few tables, so would recommend booking ahead.

I've been here many times. As a person who loves Indian food and who has some Indian friends who also love this place, I'm always pleased to go. The outside isn't great but it's authentic food, the naan and chapati are incredible. It's cosy and service is good. It's also very reasonably priced, so please, give it a try. Small businesses like this deserve to be a success!

We ordered from you last night for my birthday meal, and we were SO dissapointed. We order from you often and until now, had considered you the best takeaway locally - last night has certainly changed our opinion and we won't be ordering again sadly.1 - the order took 75 min's to get to us (you state on you website to expect 45-60 mins during busy times such as Fridays and weekend - I sugreat you change that)2 - when I called to find out where our food was, there was no apology, just a "Yes we are very busy tonight"...3 - The food arrived mildly warm...horrid4 - I ordered my usual Prawn Tikka Masala however, no option to order the kig prawn this time, so had to order the regular prawns. It was quite honestly disgusting - I had to return heat with some Tikka powder from our pantry.The prawns were SO tiby, I've never seen any that small. They were chewy and frankly disgusting. No flavour to the sauce and it was cold.5 - Rice, your portions have clearly changed as we used to order one between us. There was enough for one person. Again, cold and didn't taste the Pilau seasoning6 - My husbands Korma was bland7 - Onion Baji''s were soaked through with oil8 - Popadoms, we received 1 and 1/2 of them....thanks... Only good thing about the meal was the naan bread! Truly truly awful. The worst curry I've ever ordered...Happy birthday to me! You've lost a regular customer I'm afraid. Goodbye

So first time we've been here since they merged restaurants with Zaffrons, so if you're familiar with the staff in Zaffrons then you'll know.It was pretty average experience, the Ithari chicken wasnt as good as Zaffrons, too sweet and fairly tasteless otherwise. Chapatis are cooked in normal grill so not authentic. However their new Pork dishes tasted very nice and would definitely try again.Maybe as they've merged there are teething problems so benefit of the doubt this time but not a great deal of competition in the area either.It isn't expensive however so would try again at some point with all the above factors taken into consideration.

Best place for a fantastic curry. Hot food on hot plates!! All the dishes we had were cooked to order and to our desired spiciness, delicious.

They managed to fit us in on a busy nice with no reservation (the place is only small, so books up quickly I imagine). Service was good, with food brought out quickly. The curries were ok, nothing particularly special, but pretty standard. Soft drinks were quite pricey, especially for saying they'd just bought two litre bottles of Schweppes/Pepsi etc.

I like this place as they have some unusual variations not found in other places. The food is always fresh spicy and yummy.Mixed staff bunch which works well.In my opinion this place needs more customers as not everyone knows it's there as a choice.

We've eaten here at several occassions, the service is always impeccable. Really friendly and make you feel like you're visiting friends. Food quality is a bit of a lottery, some meals we've had were superb (Bhuna) and some downright awful (runny vegetable curry that was so salted I only ate it because I was hungry).

Ordered a takeaway it was ok but the meat in the curry was bad quality compared to other takeaway's, the starter was nice and the Naa tasted like it was from Co-op doubt I'd order again.

We have been dining in Popadoms since it opened in 1996. This time we were a party of 8 in a full restaurant and it seems that the food and service is as good, if not better, that it has ever been. There is nothing like a freshly cooked curry and it was delicious. The service was very good and we didn't feel rushed. It was an enjoyable and relaxing meal.

We have had take away from here over the years, it has always arrived quickly and been hot and of good quality. We decided to dine in for a change on Friday and it was even better. This restaurant is reasonably priced with great food and service. Very knowledgeable server. Would recommend.

Such a lovely little resturaunt. Eaten in a few times and takeaway few times a month. Food is amazing! Best indian cuisine around. There's no pump for soft drinks so served out of a bottle which is a bit of a let down but ok.Service is always great and the quality of food is always exceptional.

As it was a weekend evening we booked and it was a good job we did. Although it is usually possible to turn up on spec during midweek, this is a busy restaurant at weekends.Service is friendly and quick, the menu has plenty of choice, the food is good if you like this kind of food (and if you don't, why would you go???) and the cost is reasonable.Nothing to dislike really.

I ordered a meal for my parents the other day and I ordered a Veg curry and it was really nice but the meat dishes were kind of odd. Previously, I've ordered the same curry but with Chicken and the chicken was sort of like generic slices and had no taste to it.The Sag Panner only had 3 pieces of cheese in it.The delivery was very fast though.

By far the best curry in a Farnborough. The staff are lovely and friendly. The food is absolutely top notch.Flavour over fire. If you like to taste a curry rather than just dry chilli. Give this a go.

I use Popadoms on a regular basis and have always found both the food and the service very good. They also do some very good midweek deals and Basu, the Manager, is always on hand to help and advise on ingredients etc.

We eat at 'Pops' regularly & always have the best evening. Great food & the competitively priced house red is good, staff & management just lovely & service brilliant. Recommend the Chicken Nilgiri.... Yum! Cheers to our buddies the Morriekins

This little restaurant off the beaten track serves some of the tastiest curries around. The best Onion Bahajis and Peshwari naan ever reasonably priced. Make sure to join their curry club for special offers

I have been coming to Popadoms for years..Bashu is a very lovely host..The food is top notch..Friendly service and a intimate setting..I can recommend the Phall if you are feeling brave..And they can make it hotter if you are feeling like a challenge..Please go there..

Decided to go to the resturant rather than have a take away. Small cosy little resturant staff plesent. Food very tasty. Overal good meal.

First in on an evening, service was prompt but not over bearing (nice to eat at a slow pace - time to chat and enjoy). Soon filled up - not bad for a school night - proves the food is well liked. Didn't cost an arm & a leg, will be more than happy to go back again. Had many take-aways from here before so it's nice to know that the restaurant is up to the same quality.

Having been customers of this restaurant since it opened was very disappointed with the two previous takeaways that we received. Cold, chicken that you could have soled your shoe with. Not the legendry food that Popoadoms are known for. Obviously dont read their emails or really cant be bothered to reply. Come on Popadoms whats going on.

This restaurant is very small, but has a nice atmosphere. The food was responsible priced and very tasty. The staff were very friendly. I'd be happy to eat there again. But it is best if you book rather than walk in.

Location is a bit out of the way if you don't live nearby, but do serve good quality food, have been there a few times and have enjoyed the dishes.

Very enjoyable take away. Menu much better than before. So nice as a vegetarian not to have a curry that consists of big onions and cabbage as a filler in a dish unlike a nearby Indian restaurant!! Loved the veg dansak

Really nice takeaway currry. After a couple of years of bland and very average food, Popadoms has had something of a revolution. Chicken roshani absolutely scrumptous. New menu definately a return to form.

This was our favourite Indian. The last few takeaways we have had have not been good. Allot of the main curry dishes taste very gravy based. The best thing on the menu is the dry chicken tikka, the best we have had. My husband won't let us order from here anymore because of the few bad currys we have had. Such a shame as this was the best previously. We kept trying in hope that the food would be good again but it hasn't. : (

We went as two families with 3 children. Although it's a small restaurant the staff were lovely described every dish the children wanted to know about and let them pick and choose. The food was cooked to order all fresh and catered for our veggie friend without a problem. The food came in separate dishes so we could try each other's and eat as much or as little as we wanted. The currys were delicious and the price was very reasonable. More than happy to go back again.

We turned up on a Wednesday evening as a twosome and were given a table, however the restaurant is small so on Friday/Saturday nights you might be best phoning ahead to make sure a table is available. They cater for groups of all sizes and seem happy to move tables around for pre-booked groups. We were seated and served by very friendly staff, and service time was speedy. The dishes (rice, curry etc) are served in separate dishes so you can mix them in whatever way you choose. Also helps keeps them warm if you only eat a bit at a time. Decor is simple but warming and a pleasant place to be. Prices are reasonable for the quality and serving size you receive. All in all a pleasant small Indian restaurant with some Gurkha specialties also included on the menu, along with a selection of vegetarian options.

This is our local restaurant just a 10 minute walk away. It ismalways a welcoming and comfortable place for a good relaxed meal. You are never rushed. The food is excellent. The menu has a good selection of different styles of cooking. I always enjoy our visits. The take away service is also excellent with the food being delivered HOT.

We've used Popadoms regularly and found the quality of the food never disappoints. There is always a warm welcome and at a cost that doesn't break the bank.

Pretty typical curry house situated at the end of a not-particularly-delightful shopping parade at the edge of Farnborough. Nothing much to recommend or not-recommend really; the menu is a pretty typical combination of Indian and Nepalese cuisine and the waiting staff are friendly and efficient. Prices are Ok although if it wasn’t for the Taste Card offer, I’d have likely never gone near the place. It’s well outside Farnborough town centre and certainly not a place you’d want to go out-of-your way to visit. The good 4-out-of-5 hygiene rating is a likely bonus for most, although I had a little Gandhi’s revenge to deal with the following morning; I almost had a nasty accident as I arrived at work, in fact. The dishes we had were remarkably similar (I swear they were the same) and the side dishes were all fine – nothing to shout about in any direction. Yep. Struggling to think of much else to say really. If you ever happen to be visiting Farnborough and find yourself outside a rather grotty shopping parade, if there’s an Indian restaurant at the end of it, do pop inside. It might be this one. I won't get this an OFSTED 'In need of improvement' grade 3 as, in actuality, it's just about eclipsing a good but it's slightly dated décor and uninspiring menu (which features the strange boast that the head chef once cooked for Tony Blair) should be factored in.

We have lived nearby for over a year now and have become regulars for eating in and take away food. We have even had a large party in there. The staff are brilliant and the food has always been excellent.

Popadoms is one of our regular favourites, both eating in the restaurant and for takeaways. The food and service is always excellent. The menu has plenty of choice, but not too much as with some restaurants. We have our favourite - biryani is a good choice, as is kodi verpudu, which we haven't seen elsewhere. However, they are quite happy to make something not on the menu, if they have the ingredients. We enjoyed a lovely meal with some specials for our 30th anniversary yesterday, including table decorations and banner. Highly recommended!
