This was our first visit and we’ll be back! Despite having a full house, Davida was the perfect host and his chef’s food was beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection. A lovely night out for our friends’ 30th wedding anniversary!

You could easily walk past Pomodoro without noticing that it was there. This would be a huge mistake if you wanted a lovely, traditional, Italian meal. The menu is full of typical Sardinian dishes, each well cooked and tasty. The wine, all Sardinian, is well priced, and pairs perfectly with the food. Finally the service is friendly and caring. Go there. You won’t be disappointed

Cafe style Italian restaurant. We were on a 3 day stay in Falmouth and rang to reserve our table. On arriving, the restaurant seemed a bit basic but we were soon glad that we had stayed. The proprietor, Davide, made us feel very much at home and explained the menu for us. Although it is a small menu, Davide devised it in order to provide freshly cooked rather than re-heated frozen dishes. I can recommend the seafood sharing platter and the homemade tiramisu, also the Sardinian non-filtered beer. Our evening was a happy experience from start to finish. Thank you.

What an amazing place. Davide is an amazing host, friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The menu had a small selection of meals for vegetarian, pasta, fish, etc, but they were very well selected, giving a good choice. The restaurant was small, but the atmosphere created by David was fabulous. The meals we had were quality and outstanding. I cannot put into words what an incredible experience my Mother, son and I had this evening. We often eat out and I have to say that the food here is some if the best I have tasted anyway in this country, let alone Cornwall. I would definately recommend this restaurant. It is one of the gems of Cornwall. We will definately be going whenever we are near Falmouth. A definate treat. Best book though. Thank you Davide for a special experience.

Absolutely exceptional meal. The menu is very well thought out, offering a good number of options, with a healthy variety of different types of meal for a number of tastes, without being overwhelmed for choice. Every aspect of the meal was cooked beautifully, the choices of wine were sevond to none, and the Chef Davide himself was an absolute gent, and clearly and deservedly takes a lot of pride in his work. His tiramisu has managed to wow us as the best we've ever had... and that is by no means a small feat. Excellent service with a very pleasant atmosphere. To say we accidently found it while looking for somewhere to eat in the Cornish rain, we ended up finding an excellent restaurant we will be heartily recommending to anyone looking to eat in Falmouth.

What a find! Delicious authentic Sardinian food prepared by the charming head chef and manager of this lovely little restaurant. We both had the trio of ravioli starter then the pesce sharing board and enjoyed every mouthful. The house wine was excellent - better than many far more expensive bottles we’ve had elsewhere. A warm and friendly atmosphere - the patron even chased us down the street with my husband’s hat that he’d left behind. Highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this place enough. I only wish I took photos! I had the special fennel pork pasta with tomato which was seasoned to perfection, I ate it all! I also had aranchinis which were perfect. Everything was presented beautifully too & the house red was gorgeous. The owner was so welcoming and calm and friendly, he even shared some of his food he had just cooked himself with us. You won’t regret visiting!

Just adding to the amazing reviews this place already has- I couldn't recommend it .ore if you love authentic Italian food, attention to detail and great costumer service. The place is not pretentious at all, Davide makes you feel at home. We'll be back for sure!

Fabulous food and dining experience. We had an amazing meal, paired with delicious wine. Davide was a superb host. We had scallops (best i have ever had) and the special was incredible (octopus and pancetta linguine) thank you for a night we won’t forget.

We came with expectations of a good,authentic Italian meal after a long journey and reading the reviews. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The restaurant was cold and the music was monotonous. But the biggest disappointment was when the food came the portion s were the smallest I have ever had in an Italian restaurant. Not only that but our Carbanara was lukewarm. Both children were hungry and my son in law too and we e ded up in the kebab Dow the road which was actually very good.

Booked two weeks in advance because in previous years tables are hard to come by on a Saturday evening. Patron had 'lost' our booking and given away our table. He managed to sort it our. The place has changed hands since we were last here and the new owner is struggling a bit. Not just the mislaid booking but we had the last bottle of white wine on the premises. I heard other tables were not too happy. However, having said that, the food was excellent and the new owner is obviously very keen to make a go of it. We will go back in 2024 and see how he's getting on.

Celebrated my sixtieth and was made to feel oh so special. The food was unbelievable and the tiramisu simply to die for. Everything tasted fresh and just gorgeous. Highly recommended

This is a tiny restaurant and it is essential to book but worth the effort. The pasta is freshly made and tastes like being in Italy. There were some unusual dishes on the menu, as well as the familiar, with good choices for vegetarians. Portions were so generous we didn't make it to dessert!

Callum & his staff catered for 14 of my family for a birthday, they changed the seating plan for us and were attentive to us throughout the three hours we were there. The food was delicious and came out in good time regardless of the amount of orders. The waitress looked after us all and was quick to attend to any issues. Would recommend Pomodoro to anyone visiting Falmouth. 10/10.

Food was good. Service was good, but the tiramisu was very disappointing. Have visited once but shall not be returning as the restaurant is very small and not easily accessible for a disabled person. A shame it is not a bit bigger.

Had a table booked for 8pm today. Arrived there’s just now and the restaurant is closed. But we went in personally to book YESTERDAY!! Unbelievable!

Very poor and dissapointing experience for party of 6, 50% of main meals came out cold, waitress had a couldn't care less attitude from the moment we arrived chef never appeared to resolve issues and owner contacted me once next day after I wrote to complain, not to apologise but to tell me how wrong we were about our experience. We visited Pomodoro after having the restaurant highly recommended and it was excellent! The welcome was really friendly and it was a busy evening but the service stayed warm professional and attentive. We had the Caprese salad which was a good size and tasted delicious. The spaghetti carbonara was the best i have ever had … if you manage to find room for a dessert the choice is good and recommended the strawberry and nutella focaccia.. delish!! Great wine, limoncello wonderful ambiance and fantastic service well worth a tip !! its a must in Falmouth and recommend booking ahead!

Went with high hopes as it looks like a lovely restaurant from the outside and reviews are good. However, the meal was really bad. The white wine wasn't chilled. Starters were poor - mozzarella caprese salad should have been an easy win, but the tomatoes were watery and bland - maybe frozen? Absolutely no flavour. I had a vegetarian main (forgotten name) that was horrendous. Almost inedible and had to leave half the plate. We'd gone with the intention of having dessert but after the starters and main there was no hope left. It just seemed like low quality produce was used to make bad meals. For an Italian restaurant, the alarm bells ring when simple things like tomatoes, Olive, mozzarella and wine taste bad. Genuinely the worst meal we've had out. A real shame because from the outside it looks like a really nice restaurant.

The best wine we tasted in Falmouth (house red). Great service and fabulous food. Try the Foccaia and Nutella desert! Or the Tiramisu served in a coffee percolator top! The food is original and inventive. Great fun too.

Went here on a whim after phoning an hour before. Glad we phoned as we saw 3 other couples walk in off the street only to be told it was full. The food was spectacular though. Very authentic starters and breads. The pizza was also delicious however surprisingly it was deep fat fried. Don't let that put you off. This chef knows what he's doing and we had a fabulous experience 👍

Little hidden gem! We were looking for something Italian and found this restaurant on Google. The staff was very friendly and the food was simply amazing. We had calamari, ravioli and pasta. Everything was really delicious and burrara was the best I've ever tried even my kids ate half of it. The complimentary olives with garlic were delish and I had to ask for more. Superb food, amazing fresh ravioli and light ,crispy squid. Tiny place, only a few tables, so book ahead. Home made focaccia , aubergine parmigiana and tiramisù. House red excellent, and reasonable for a big glass. Owned and run by Sardinian people. Lovely welcome.
