We ordered 3 pasties, traditional, cheese bean and bacon and cheese and bacon. They should have been investigated under trades description as the meat in the traditional, beans and bacon were noticeably absent. We’d had pasties a few days earlier from another establishment and these weren’t a patch on those. Have to say the staff were super friendly and the water pistols for the pigeons were a fun touch.

I agree 100% with the avoid review below. Pasties have undercooked pastry, hardly a hint of beef and veg so undercooked it was crunchy. AND it was served lukewarm . At £11 per person for a pasty and coffee avoid like the plague. There were other choices that look good in the village and we wish we had chosen one of them. Service was slow too

If you enjoy your pasty filled only with potato and swede, then this place is perfect for you. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for both my partner and me. I ordered a bacon & cheese pasty, and my partner had the steak one. Neither of them had even a hint of these flavors. It was just two lumps of salty pastry with undercooked potatoes. Absolutely dreadful and a waste of £12. Avoid.

Disappointed by Polperro’s lack of toilet facilities (if you don’t carry cash or happen to have a 50p) I stumbled across this bakery as a very distraught mum with a 7 month old baby who desperately needed changing. A very lovely and kind lady let me change him on a table which was a redeeming factor of my visit to Polperro. Thank you very much to the staff here

Loads of potatoes and swede but a little lacking on meat and seasoning. I suppose it didn’t help that we had an excellent, and less expensive, pasty from Chapmans in Perranporth yesterday.

The customer service was really poor, the lad behind the counter was unhelpful and out of his depth. Over charged, items missing- it wasn’t a good experience. When the food arrived it was better than I expected. Warm and fresh, but, it arrived in dribs and drabs so some of the family could eat whilst the others waited. I’m bemused that if you order “quiche” you are presented with an entire quiche- no side salad etc. The menu is basic so I’m shocked the service was so poor. There are a lot of lovely looking cafes and restaurants in the town, I’m disappointed I chose this one. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Looking at the reviews now, having bought pasties from this bakery today, it seems they haven't listened to the reviews as the quality of the pasties have not changed for years! So if you want a pasty made up of mainly potatoes, a couple of bits of suede and what little meat there is being grey and chewy, then buy! If you want a decent pasty, avoid! We had to throw most of our pasty away, it was inedible. Total waste of money. The cake we had was lovely though, but won't return!

I have to disagree with previous reviews about the quality of pasties from this bakery. I had a delicious steak and Stilton pasty today. It was served piping hot. I've seen a couple of previous reviews which have decried the pasties from these premises. Went in today with my wife and a couple of friends who were down on holiday. I had the Cornish pasty which was delicious. Full of meat, with swede and onion and lovely pastry. No complaints from me at all and I am a Cornishman. I can only surmise that these other visitors are used to the G***sters excuse for a pasty. Others had the beef and stilton and bacon and cheese panini. All were well satisfied with the food and service

Avoid the Cornish pasty it’s the worst you’ll ever have, mainly potato and swede with hardly any seasoning and raw grisly meat hence stone cold in the middle which made my partner ill for the rest of the day. Unquestionably the worst pasty I have ever eaten. The content was mainly potato, no swede and the smallest amount of meat imaginable; add the fact that there was no seasoning and you have the full picture. I would even suggest that to call it a pasty was stretching credibility to the limit.

We ordered three bacon panini’s. I can’t even be bothered to explain how utterly rank they were. Maybe other things are better...... but the bacon sarnies are gross. Advice. Poop or get off the pot. A soggy fatty insipid bit of bacon, sticking a mini french stick into a panini maker does NOT a panini make. Top half crunchy bottom half as soggy as your lack lustre can’t do attitude. We decided to have a cream tea whilst on a day out to Polperro and because we had the two small dogs we sat outside the back on the patio which is partly covered if it's raining but we sat in the sun. You order at the till and they bring out to you. The lady on the till was very friendly and when i asked if we could upgrade the free tea for a latte she said no problem at all. The waitress made sure the table was clean before we sat down and also showed us the wi fi password on the back of the menu which was a nice touch and she was very friendly and accommodating. The cream tea and Cornish coffee were lovely and would match any costa coffee. All in all a nice place. We purchased some fresh bread and pasties to take back to the lodge which were freshly made that day. Theres a lovely choice of huge cakes but we decided to be good. Extremely rude and blunt staff. As we ordered our drinks and waited for them to be made there was very little communication. Whilst we waited a member of staff rudely said 'right excuse me.' My elderly mother moved aside to which she then said 'no im going that way.' No please or thank you. The de-caf tea is quite expensive and the teabags were very weak. We sat outside the cafe to drink the tea and watched as the owner sprayed a seagull with a water gun because it was on a table. We will not be returning. We have been coming to polperro for years, however, this has put a very down perspective on polperro overall. We will be passing this information on to our friends and family so they can avoid the same experience.

The staff were very friendly. The hot drinks were alright and the cakes were alright. They didn't rush us. The whole atmosphere was really nice and lovely. I didn't have to raise my voice to speak to my boyfriend who has a hearing impairment which is a hearing aid.

Had a lovely meal,Rump Steak& Croft Burger, then sweets to finish. Great food and service. Shame the weather wasn't a little better as we would have sat outside after our meal.

We were on holiday and ended up eating here 3 times. We had our dog who typically was nervous in eating places so we never bothered eating out, we were given a table in the corner and asked for the same one every time which they obliged as she was settled, it helped that the staff were all so helpful and the food was so nice, would highly recommend the Pityme Inn and we will visit again, it made our holiday
