We went for lunch and had the fixed price menu. Everything was absolutely delicious. The reason I haven’t given 5 stars is because the service is a bit slow. We were given a drinks menu when we arrived and then waited 15 mins to order. We then had to ask for the lunch menu when they brought the drinks.

This time I ordered 3 courses for lunch Unexpectedly beyond imagination 👍, the lunch set is worth it. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything is amazing. You can feel that the chef has carefully arranged it and did not make it haphazardly just because it is a lunch set. The main meal of filet mignon and duck liver requires an extra price, but I recommend it! Although it costs about 100 pounds per person😂but it’s worth it🥹

The sommelier and the cheese course are great. On a Friday evening the restaurant is maybe 30-40% occupied. The food is underwhelming, and the thing that I found best was the hand-wash in the bathroom. Try to go to some other place.

Exceptional! The service is faultless and the restaurant itself is beautiful. The small attention to detail is what truly sets this establishment apart. We tried the vegan tasting menu and while the food was lovely we could only give it 4 stars as there was not a lot of variety between the courses. There was a lot of ingredient recycling simply cooked or presented in a different way. I make this comparison between other Michelin star restaurants offering Vegan menus. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend a visit, but not if you’re vegan. I would suggest Galvin La Chapelle or Gauthier Soho instead.

I have always thought very highly of this restaurant and placed it near the top of my list for entertaining clients or for special occasions. My most recent experience, however, was underwhelming and I would actively avoid dining here based on the service we received. Firstly, our table for two was only ready 45 minutes after our scheduled reservation time of 8:30pm. Communication was not proactive and I needed to approach staff multiple times while sitting in the bar to enquire whether the table was available. Once we were seated, the three-course menu (understandably) seemed very rushed as the restaurant began to empty out. The quality of the meal itself was uneven; a forgettable starter followed by an excellent main (the fillet) and a very nice dessert (white chocolate mousse). Overall, I left with the feeling of having received poor value for money and regretted my choice, given the range of other options nearby. Hopefully this was an off night and not representative of their usual standards.

Considering this is supposed to be a Michelin star restaurant the food, on the whole, was not up to scratch. Our waitress was delightful and fantastic though. I did not want to say anything on the evening because I was being taken out for an unbelievably special treat on a trip to London. I had a Ravioli starter (I make pasta myself) and it was stone cold and rubbery. It was supposed to be seafood, but all I could taste was, I think, sea bass. The bisque-like sauce tasted 'old' and had no freshness or zing. Our two adult children (one is a private cook, as I am) had the lobster which was delicious but they felt the bits of cep overpowered it, and both declared the 'provencal citrus' (which tasted like marmalade) had no place on the plate. Three of us had the John Dory main course which was very tasty but stone cold - not acceptable. The beef dish was very good. The chocolate & espresso pudding was deemed excellent, but the Japanese Citrus parfait was too sharp and unbalanced. With regard to the petit fours perhaps they should present fewer and concentrate on perfection. Only one of the amuse bouche stood out as a thing of beauty and that was the potato with taramasalata. I feel the restaurant has too many covers so cannot deliver perfection and the menu was somewhat style over substance. To summarise the food was good, but certainly not Michelin standard and certainly not up to scratch for the price.

Booked a table ahead of time for lunch, transiting Heathrow on my way home I purposely arranged a longer stay over to come here to try it out. I booked the table online, and there seemed to be an array of options for lunch and dinner, including the al la carte, the fixed menu, the tasting menu etc. When I arrived I was met by Giacomo at reception, he was friendly and gladly took my carry-on suitcase to the cloakroom and then he showed me to my table. The waitress who served during the lunch service was very friendly, engaging and knowledgeable about the dishes served. I was shown the various menus and drink/wine lists which I was a little surprised about. I have already booked the set menu lunch online it was somewhat unexpected I was shown all the menus including the tasting one and had all of them explained to me. I would have thought if I went for the tasting one, I would have needed to book a longer lunch session instead of the set one, therefore I am not sure why I was asked specifically which one I would book online when it doesn’t really matter when I turn up anyway. I stuck with the set menu due to timing reasons as I have a flight to catch later. I ordered the “Potted smoked ham knuckle, Cauliflower cream, sauce gribiche, teardrop peas, sourdough”, the dish was tastefully presented and delightful to eat. For the main I ordered “Poached North Sea Cod, Italian courgette, Amalfi lemon, Artichoke, Kalamata olive”, the cod was cooked perfectly and I loved the sauce that came with it and finally “Pink lady & Dulcey chocolate mousse, Russet apple sorbet” it looked like a piece of artwork and it was cool enough so it was easy to cut into. Throughout the lunch service, I found the waiting staff very attentive but at the same time discreet. They were regularly topping up my drinks and on hand if I needed anything. Overall, I really enjoyed the lunch I had at Pollen Street Social the service was excellent and importantly the food was great.

Splendid. My new favourite, in fact. I cannot offer enough praise to the team in their entirety - every member of staff back and front of house. This place, truly, is a cut above, and I’m very much of the view that a second star would be right for them. I had the chef’s counter tasting, and enjoyed 13 or so courses of impeccable cookery. Particular highlights include crab with olive oil ice cream, turbot and white asparagus, and beef fillet with truffle. I think, in particular, what comes across so manifestly is generosity here; when more places are cutting back on the quality of their ingredients, the Pollen St team do the opposite. Not to say, of course, that this wasn’t expensive, but I absolutely did not feel cheated or wronged at having spent rather a sum on lunch - far from it. My thanks go to the whole team, in particular Petr, whose service was exemplary. I look forward to returning.

I made a reservation for the chefs counter & I really enjoyed watching the kitchen at work; the food was amazing with every course bringing new flavours and experiences. the staff were really pleasant & I was introduced to their own Jason Statham look-a-like; although unfortunately I may be the only person who didn't know who Jason Statham was; I have since looked him up & he really did look like the picture I found. Watching the kitchen was amazing with every plate being taken for the head chefs approval before leaving; even the bread, the attention to detail is amazing to see & taste. I loved everything I had, but the scollop and fish courses were my favourite & the wine pairings were wonderful. As I was on my own I was seated next to other people who were having the same menu and wine pairings as me; to provide individual service we were given the food & wine at slightly different times, but this made me feel a little awkward; and I think it may have been a little more inclusive to serve us together, but that was the only things I'd change from my visit, I loved everything else.

But don’t go look for Johnason on your next visit , you can find him at London Four seasons. Another visit to Pollen Street with colleagues; my suggestion as I love it here. The welcome and service all worked well tonight and we opted for the seven course tasting menu consisting of: Afternoon tea, “Yorkshire pudding choux”, Devon crab with Spanish melon & ajo blanco ice-cream, xo Orkney scallop with razor clam & smoked butter, Roasted Looe turbot with white asparagus & warm roe sauce, 65-day aged beef fillet with Duck liver & Australian Périgord Truffles, Yorkshire yoghurt with Vassout pear, and dessert of Japanese citrus parfait with yoghurt sorbet & citrus sauce. The food was a superbly delicious as ever, with my absolute favourite being the Beef fillet, though the optional scallop dish and the Turbot were pretty special too. I did find a big chunk of shell in my crab dish which made me a bit nervous eating the rest, but it happens and it did not detract from being a lovely plate of food. We had lunch with friends, visiting again for the first time since Covid. Some things have remained the same - friendly and professional reception and service, with now more space between tables giving a more relaxed atmosphere. We opted for the set lunch, starters of ham hock and heritage tomatoes. Ham hock was tasty but the cubes of ham were too large and could have been a smaller dice for an easier eat. The tomato dish was pretty but lacked flavour. I chose a cod dish as main course while others chose lamb. The lamb was okay, if a little chewy. The problem arose with the cod dish. When presented I notice that there was cling film still sound the fish. I called the waiter who apologised and had the dish replaced. The replacement dish arrived but the fish had a pink tinge to the fish and did not flake as expected. I pointed this out to the staff but was amazed to hear that this how fish is served! In my opinion, the fish was undercooked and centre was raw. The staff was adamant that this was how the fish was served. I asked to speak to the chef but this was refused. Most disappointing. This cast a shadow ever the whole lunch even though my lunch was removed from the bill. I’m really surprised at the staff reactions and the chefs lack of attention to customer issues. A sad result.

Hopefully it is around the corner. We sat at the kitchen counter, which meant we could see the chefs at work, including owner Jason Atherton, which added lots of fun to the experience. Plate after plate of delicately and elegantly crafted dishes arrived at the table. The tomato consommé kicked the meal off to a fab start. The bread was freshly baked. The scallop and roe dish was one of the best seafood dishes I have tasted. The ‘Golden Nut’ was a rich, indulgent delight. Delicious petit fours brought the evening to a close. We had one glass of wine each and mine was 'only' £16, my husband's was £24, obviously plus service charge. With coffee at £7 a cup, and the 15% service charge, the bill came to just under £178. Our experience at this Michelin-starred restaurant left us feeling underwhelmed. Despite the hype, our night was marked by lengthy delays and underwhelming service. When we arrived for our reservation, our table wasn't ready, and we had to wait an additional 40 minutes before we were seated. To make matters worse, the tablecloth had not been changed from the previous diners as there were water spills on both sides. After finally being seated, we waited an additional 20 minutes before receiving the food menu, even though we had asked for the wine list. When the wine list finally arrived, it was an extensive list of options that would require multiple inquiries from us, but with staff looking so busy, you felt your presence was intrusive. Overall, we spent an hour waiting to be seated and attended to. We were unimpressed by the atmosphere, which was loud and noisy. Although the food was good, it wasn't exceptional as we've had more interesting dishes at other restaurants, whether starred or not. Nothing about this place felt special or different, and the price tag was steep. The staff seemed overwhelmed by the number of diners, and the place felt and looked blatantly overbooked. Everything you expect from a one Michelin star London restaurant: interesting courses, well prepared, albeit not anything mind blowing or unique. Nice atmosphere, attending staff, overall good dining experience.

This was my second time eating here and I was even more impressed. This again is another restaurant that should be upgraded to 2 Michelin star status but is yet to receive it. You can also find some of the coolest cocktails in London here - the Penicillin is well worth trying. The interior is one of my favourites as well. Will be back again soon :)

I used to be a fan. Food and atmosphere are good. But a friend was taken ill on the day of my latest booking so I had to cancel. I was charged £160 for the privilege. A complete rip off, and I won't be returning to any of their restaurants.

Although one Michelin star the prices are so expensive charging more than the 3 stars!! Tasting menu is great but slightly underwhelming. Ambience was so casual! Not bad overall.

I visited as a solo diner on a busy Saturday afternoon for the three-course lunch (note: if you want amuse bouche and petit fours, you'll need to opt for the extended lunch menu, otherwise bread is the only extra). I paid the supplement fee for the shellfish raviolo, which is absolutely worth doing. The bisque was intensely flavoured, while the mushrooms, lobster, parmesan foam, and caviar provided extra texture and dimensions. One small critique: it was a little overseasoned (lots of salty elements on one plate), but otherwise, this was brilliant. The lamb for the main was beautifully tender, the sauce rich, the basil puree fragrant and complimenting the protein nicely. The pomme puree was also silky, smooth, and had just the right amount to go with the meat on the plate. The dessert was not as good as the savoury courses but still very nice: a pink peppercorn Panna cotta, with perfect texture and strawberries. The pink peppercorn was an interesting touch and it really came through with each mouthful, just the right amount. The strawberries themselves were so-so and were a bit of a bland addition to an otherwise very enjoyable dessert. £49.50 for three courses is very reasonable (pre-supplement) for the level of cooking here. Service was friendly and professional, while the setting is smart but casual. Based on the quality of the starter and main, I wouldn't be surprised if they get a second star before long.

We had the most glorious evening here. The service is outstanding and the food simply glorious. All dietary requests were catered for with no fuss at all. This is really one of (if not the) best restaurants in London.

Never fails to please. It was an excellent dinner for a special occasion. The food was amazing, especially the desserts, pre- desserts and petit fours. The pre-dessert was very inventive - who would have thought of olive oil would go well with a dessert? Service was impeccable. Highly recommend.

Went here for a birthday meal and both my husband and I chose the 3 course meal. We are an occasional fine dining couple, say 2-4 times a year. I had the vegetarian menu and he got the normal with the upcharge for beef. The little amuse bouche brought out were all fantastic, we couldn't fault any of them! There was plenty of choice on the vegetarian menu, I had the french onion soup which was excellent and a fantastic balance of umami and sweet. My husband had the rice dish which we both found a little salty and not as exciting as the soup. I was let down by the main course raviolo it was super over salted (and i like salty) and too much egg white foam compared to the pasta. My husband thought his beef was sensational. However we were both disappointed with the size of the main course. We felt they were tasting menu sizes. The palate cleanser brought next was a great balance of sweet and sour yogurt with a fun play on textures. Our deserts were both chocolatey, balanced bitter with tangy sorbet and can't fault them! Overall the restaurant is sleeky, spacious and modern and the staff were generally amazing. Our main waiter seemed a little non bothered for high end dining, but that is a little criticism.

Great experience. My boyfriend reserved a table for pur 10 years anniversary. When we arrived, on the table there was a hand written card wishing us happy anniversary which I found very touching. I don’t eat taramosalata, cured fish or beef tartar, however I had to for this one experience. I still don’t like them but that is just a personal preference and the presentation was exquisite (hence the 5 stars). The beef dish with foie grass was delicious. The yogurt ice cream with fig leaf syrup and fig was very interesting (wasn’t too keen on the fig but I loved the rest) while the Japanese citrus parfait was extraordinary (I never found a lemony enough dessert up to this point). The atmosphere was lovely (each table had a candle and flowers), each menu had a thorough description and the service was above and beyond. One can opt for wine pairing too and there was a wide cheese selection trolley that people can go for (personally I am not a big fan of cheese but I find the idea quite innovative). At the end we got an extra raspberry dessert to celebrate our anniversary which was again touching and delicious (frankly at the time I was beyond full but I love raspberries and it would have been rude not to eat it). I would definitely recommend the restaurant and the experience to anyone who wants to try something new. And I would go back as well (but maybe order from the menu) as the food is definitely amazing.

Really great place and throughly enjoyed the extended set lunch menu. Service was exceptional until after our desserts. The table was not cleared for 30 minutes after dessert, the coffee didn’t arrive with the petit fours, but 10 minutes after and no one came to our table to check on us. It did feel like once the set menu was over, there was no need for the staff to attend our table. Our ask for the bill took over 25 minutes (despite requesting it multiple times) and resulted in it arriving with someone thrusting a card machine in my face. The ending really was a disappointment and our ask to share the above feedback with manager was met with an “ok”.
