Pochers Pocket in North Norfolk

The service when I arrived was brilliant, the barman and girl were both brilliant. The girl who showed me to the Chalet (No4) and explained everything about the Carpark Registration system. The door locking system was alittle strange but thats just me being not the brightest haha. The chalet was very clean and comfortable. Had the basics in of a kettle, that has a jug to fill it up with, plates, cutlery, cups and bowls. There was a toaster. fridge and microwave. It was the basics but was very happy, expecially the view onto the sea. We unfortunately had to leave early due to a family emergency but will hopefully be coming back soon. I would recommend this place to anyone

Awful food - if I could give 0 I would. Never experienced beef stroganoff in runny broth like, tasteless liquid. Shame as service was good.

Had a brilliant weekend in our favourite seaside pub. Always welcomed like family. Beautiful beach view to enjoy your visit and the staff are so attentive and the new entertainment bar is a great addition with the new refurbishment. Thank you as always to all the fabulous staff.

These guys make you feel so welcome - the food is amazing and the view is fantastic. We go back time after time. Would highly recommend.

Decent breakfast , but at this time of year it’s a bit weird as it’s very quiet Evening meal was very good & the Turkished based food was very good Dog friendly which is always good to know Beware the parking though & make sure you have registered your car details at the bar otherwise it’s an expensive dinner

Have not been in for a while. AMAZING transformation. Don't really want to leave this review as it will get even busier. Completely renovated, function room is devine. Toilets 5 star. Well done Poachers love it. Going to try the food next! Sea bream was always a must.

Stayed here overnight in my campervan. Couldn’t have been made more welcome. The landlord, staff and locals are all lovely. Lovely place to stay for a walk along the beach and the sunrise was amazing. The food was nice and they have a new games room with a pool table and air hockey. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe here. I would definitely return.

What an improvement here. Fantastic place to stay. So many improvement in such a short time. I have read the other reviews on here and although people have been disappointed and vented on this media! They obviously didn't understand that the work that was in progress with on many improvement for the comfort of the Guest's both accommodation and public areas are so very much inproved. Unfortunately you can't make a cake without breakfast a few eggs. To these people that feel and probably had a bad experience, you should really revisit. The welcome l received was totally genuine, and you young lady behind the bar was most helpful and pleasant. Food was also good and the beer well kept and served, especially the real ale offering. The owner have been there around 12 months and have achieved so much in such a sort time, they are to be congratulate. The rooms are exceptionally well equipped and cleaned. It's unfortunate that TripAdvisor doesn't delete comments even when a New Owner takes over a place. Rest assured it won't belong before this place receives top marks for all they do. Again to all that had a bad experience. Give this establishment another try and l can guarantee you will be giving a very different positive review. Dennis

Food was very poor my partner could not eat what she was served and pushed to one side why run a restaurant if you going to serve funky food that tastes like crap why would you run a business like this I hope you can sort your menu out and get a proper chief maybe then you will be a good place to come people what quality food fresh is best

We booked a table in advance not knowing the area & it was a good job we did as the pub was full. The staff were welcoming & friendly. The food was pleasant but more average than wow. It’s hard to know if it was busy because it had accommodation & dining options were limited in the area. It was evident that the owners were undertaking repair works & decorating & still have a long way to go.

What a stunning place, I would really recommend a visit, we are staying in the self catering chalet’s, but will definitely return in our camper van in the better weather, this amazing place is practically on the beach with stunning views!!!! The pub itself is undergoing a refurbishment and what the owner has done so far is of such a high quality, it’s out of this world!!! The pub food is the best I’ve had for a long time, lots of different choices too, the owners are so friendly and welcoming, everywhere is absolutely spotless!!! We are here for 3 nights and are enjoying every moment of our stay!!!!

Excellent food very clean! freindly staff very welcoming nothing was too much trouble! right next to the beah!! You can stay overnight in your camper or mobile home free parking if you eat or dink in the facilities! They are having a refurbishment at the moment looking forward to coming back and seeing it finished! Highly recommend and definitely will be coming back!

Food over priced and not goodwouldnt risk giving them an other chance very dull menu all from frozen I think.

What a lovely visit we had! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Alongside our dinks we had lentil soup, baba ghanoush, a nice middle eastern lamb dish, and cheesy chips. It made for a perfect stop on our New Year's walk.

First class, nothing else to say. Beer battered fish, chips and peas and lasagne and salad. Top rate. Sticky toffee pudding and cream, apple crumble tart and cream. Top rate, having an overdue overhaul with new owners after years of neglect. Come and support them ❤️xx

Great hosts friendly and quick service .. but unfortunately the food was just not up to scratch.. burned cremated sausages for a 5 year old, roast beef was fine but the vegtables looked like they were microwaved, 1 very dry aunt bessies yorkshire (which was not fresh from the oven)... chicken kebab was just chicken with cheese on top ?? The place doesn't know what it wants too be??? Trying too be too much.... unfortunately never eat their again...

Arrived at the poachers pocket.. such a warm welcome by all of their staff such a lovely atmosphere in this pub! Had the steak and ale pie it was amazing! Served wonderfully! They were so busy and managed to squeeze us in which was so kind of them I really don’t understand why there are so many bad reviews about this pub because it’s a lovely place and I really recommend

Would just like to say this pub is a great place to visit, some of the reviews are very unfair people complaining that you should not have to pay to park , well if you are going in pub for meal or drink you do not have to pay, but you must sign in at the bar it’s easy ,if you don’t then you get ticket, tables are sticky because the are not cleaned wrong table are sticky because the previous people running the pub used cheap varnish that is sticky, then complaints about skip on car park well building works is going on all the time so rubbish is put in skip, where else would the put it farmers field or on the beach, food may not be to your taste but it may be to someone else, most of this seems to be down to locals who don’t come in the place I suggest that people TRY IT FOR YOUR SELF the owners are very friendly and the staff are very good and helpfull , the outside is all been sorted then the inside will be done don’t knock it till you have tried it, not everyone’s tastes are the same. The Mediterranean cuisine you served was not just nice; it was outstanding. The flavors, freshness, and authenticity of each dish were a delightful revelation. I particularly savored the Greek salad and the lamb kofta / kafta , which were nothing short of exquisite. The service provided by your staff was also remarkable.
