I would definitely recommend, the food was so good, we got the set menu and a beer tower. All was finished very nicely. The show stopper was the massaman curry indeed. The place itself…well you could be in Thailand, heat included.

Food and atmosphere were good! Loved the vibe there. The only down point was the tables are so close together, I couldn’t even leave to go to the toilet in the middle of my meal without interrupting the table next to me and interrupting their meal. However, staff were really attentive and attention to details!

Before I say anything else, let me say depending on what you order the food can be peppery. I don’t say spicy because people say curry is spicy and to me that is different. Our server was very sweet and told us about the “spice” in advance. So just know this, and if you are Good with it you are in for a treat! The food is different from what I knew as Thai because it is from the South of Thailand. We had chicken, pork ribs, and stir fried cabbage;all in or with different sauces. Also, the rice is a Good quality and is cooked well. The place has the feel of stepping into a simple restaurant in Thailand. Loved it will go back!

The most authentic Thai food in London. Unbelievable flavours. All dishes offer something different and each hit the spot. If you don’t like spicy food you might struggle, but if you do this place will be an instant hit

Lovely authentic restaurant. Very friendly waitress who gave us good advice about the spiciness of each dish which was very helpful. All the food was delicious and also enjoyed the green mango dish. Very good dish of the day with stir fried pork. All very tasty and reservations needed.

Please book prior as unlikely to get a table just rocking up. Location on the first floor of the arcade food hall. It’s a step back into a different world as you feel like you are back in Thailand. Unfortunately the seating area is too cramped and noise level high. The Cafe maprao too sweat and too many calories , horrible coloured sprinkles on the top-rather disappointing. Green mango wa small and also unimpressive - and lacked any complexity in taste- We left most of it. Prawn, too much tamarind in sauce and odd way of cutting the prawn piece- did not like this dish as sauce was too sour. The morning glory veg was average. Sea bream was good- excellent sauce. Bread was Good, similar to roti canai of the Malaysian variety. Rice average / standard. Desert was excellent- they only have one dish. Service was good.

I don't usually go through the effort of posting a review but the service was so bad, I felt i had no choice but to warn others in a public forum so the restaurant pays attention to the quality of staff they hire. I had been before with a friend - at least 18months ago and had a good experience. This time i booked for my family and accidentally clicked 3 instead of 4 people. When we arrived, with no empathy, care or concern , we were immediately told you booked for 4 people, we don't have space for you. We're fully booked and you can't dine here, in the most unprofessional and rude tone of voice by the person at the arrival desk. I have never been so rudely spoken to by anyone in the hospitality industry. I was too livid to even engage in dialogue with the person. If i didn't know better, i suspect racism played a role here as well. The owners of this restaurant need to see this review and I'll welcome being contacted by them to expand further if they respond to my review. I promptly turned left the restaurant as it was clear we were not welcome.

We were really looking forward to the ‘real deal’ (eg authentic Thai food) given the hype and the ‘local Thai deco’. However, we felt let down especially by the portion sizes given the price. The flavours were underwhelming compared to the ‘real’ thing - and we were not particularly impressed with the two small pieces of fish in a curry dish and 5 pieces of small prawns in another. Would not return I’m afraid. The search for authentic Thai flavours in London continues..

Proper Southern Thai food at last! My mum is from Nakhorn Sri Thammarat and walking into Plaza Khao Gaeng gives you a proper taste and experience of what it’s like down south! The Kua Kling is spot on (I personally prefer pork, but the chicken is still great), morning glory is tasty and the coconut curry is delish. The Hat Yai chicken is awesome. I highly recommend this place. It’s not cheap and the portions aren’t huge, but it’s worth it for a proper taste of southern food (praying that one day Kua Kradok Moo makes it to the menu!)

This place has been on my bucket list for a while and we had a chance to try it. The surrounding are really authentic and every member of staff is knowledgeable about the menu which is always a plus! We had the Miami Phuket to start with and although it was nice it wasn’t authentic as you would get in Thailand it was basically cashew nuts in spices. For mains we had the Gaeng Massaman Neua and the Gaeng Gati Gai. The latter we were told would be spicy and asked for it to be toned down and it was still too spicy for my friend to eat so it went wasted unfortunately. The Massaman was good but not something I’d come back for. The roti it was served with was amazing it was a good experience but not something I’d rush back for and I don’t understand the amazing reviews this place gets.

I really enjoyed the food here, and the service was very good. Nothing to complain about at all. But the wine prices are ridiculous. £36 for the cheapest bottle is absolutely stupid. I won't come back here again, specifically for this reason.

It was supposed to be one of the most exciting restaurant openings of 2022, so I had high hopes, but our visit was disappointing. The food was hit and miss, great fried chicken thighs and beef massamam curry, interesting spicy fried pork, but the omelette with shrimp paste was a disaster - tiny, cold and too oily. Nice coconut desert, mixture of sweet and salty. Service was ok but it we had to wait almost an hour for our food, even though the restaurant wasn’t full. In fairness to the staff, they gave us a delicious mini dish of nuts on a betel leaf to compensate for the wait. Still, sitting for an hour with watery cocktails in a very noisy fast-food style venue was not much fun.

We went to the restaurant for a quick meal before a theatre visit We were lucky to be squeezed in even though we were there early, as it is popular and books up The decor is what I suspect a Thai eatery would look like in Thailand Lots of staff who are great at explaining the menu and at pointing out the heat element We had chicken wings - very crisp and great tasting (Pik Gai Tord) We shared the sea bream in a spicy sauce which was delicious - Pad Phet Pla. We also had the pork belly which was not spicy at all on the recommendation of the waitress (muu hong) which was good but ended up as being too much to finish We had rice and roti to mop up the lovely sauces. We also had a glass of white wine and a beer Really full after all this Must be worth trying teh sampling menu

If this is a London take on a food hall experience then its a very poor reflection of what diners can expect or deserve and a pale pale shadow of the fabulous foodhalls found all over Asia and indeed in Europe. The food was tasty but not not very authentic, the atmosphere not great, but the cost, the cost!!! £90+ for two people of reasonable but not greedy appetite without alcohol. Not recommended.
