Great food, great service. Wanted to try more from this menu!

Really lovely Thai restaurant with some great options!

I just came here to celebrate my birthday with friends. The food and service were excellent as always. The atmosphere was also nice and relaxed. This restaurant is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in London. I have been here several times as well as was regular customer at the branches in Thailand. Greyhound serves various dishes, compared to other Thai restaurants in UK and all dishes are tasty.

Overall, this restaurant offers great taste, though the prices are a bit on the higher side. Very warm waiter. **Satay Rib Eye:** The meat is tender, with a distinct curry flavor. The sauce has a smoky and sweet taste, pairing well with the crispy bread. Delicious. **Fried Squid:** The crispy batter on the squid is perfectly crunchy, making it a quality fried squid dish. **Pad Thai:** Generously loaded with chicken, complemented by lemongrass, crushed peanuts, and chili flakes. The ingredients are plentiful and well-balanced. **Red Curry Duck Leg:** The duck leg is stewed to softness, with the red curry offering a delightful flavor. Surprisingly, the curry includes lychees, making for an intriguing and delightful combination.

The location of the restaurant is a distance from tube station. Environment was quite nice. We came here for lunch. The food was quite nice but given that price and the portion is a bit small. Overall food was quite good as well, my main comment was the Pork Knuckle. We ordered half portion. I thought it was fired as a whole then cut into pieces but looks like they cut it first then deep fried it. That makes every piece crispy but those cut into smaller one will be too dried out. Also there is no indication of chilli in fried rice but there were chilli so be careful if you cannot eat chilli. Chicken wing was great. Duck leg noodle was amazing and the soup has a bit of sweetness which is very nice. I would rate 4 as I think there is room for improvement but it’s still worth trying if you fancy some Thai food.

The food is so fresh and delicious. The quality and portions are great. The restaurant is similar to a Prezzo’s or Zizzi’s, large and atmospheric but not an al a carte. Would thoroughly recommend if you’re looking for quality food without a high price tag.

My friend ordered something not spicy, but it came spicy. The pork chop was not that good, and my pad thai was interesting because in some spots of the food, it was quite spicy, and I was not ready for that. But the restaurant was very pretty. We just were not big fans of the food.

Best pad thai I’ve ever had in the UK. I’m Thai and even in Thailand finding pad thai this good is not easy!

Just went to this place recently, Greyhound Cafe is a culinary haven! Exceptional Thai food, impeccable service, and a lively atmosphere. The drinks are lovely, and the overall experience is bountiful. A must-visit for those who appreciate excellence in dining.

Food is excellent and the restaurant has great atmosphere. I've been to the same place in Thailand and pleased to find that it's very similar in flavour. The venue is convenient enough, spacious and baby friendly.

We were looking out for a lovely cafe while walking through the London street and we came across this beautiful cafe with great ambience indoor and outdoor. The perfect place to sip a hot cup of coffee or anything u like enjoying the London rains in their swing! :) Had a quick and short visit but it was worthwhile! :)

lets just say not going again... tell me why I ordered a shrimp fried rice that's not meant to be spicy and now my tastebuds are burnt and it was sweet. the birthday boy spent £40 on a starter and the meal that's so silly and when we had booked the reservation it was a BIRTHDAY reservation and the lady on the phone had said there would be something special planned, the only thing planned was the outrageous prices and this review. the seating was uncomfortable although we called one week in advance we were put right by the door when we asked for a booth. the only thing that I throughly enjoyed was all the ice I ate cos of how spicy my food was and the best part of the night was when we left and went McDonalds for dessert. lets just say the birthday dinner flopped.this was written 1am and im starving the amount we paid did not match the food I'm starving and I've got NO MONEY TO GET FOOD COS OF YOU!!!!!! have a good evening tho!!! - the 6 teenagers who's bank you broke xxxx

Greyhound is a Thai restaurant with a delicious selection of dishes and desserts. The crab fried rice I had was amazing; every element blended into the dish well with meticulous presentation. Recommended for a fancy dinner evening! I wish the portion was bigger for the price range - I will come back to try more of their menu!

It says a lot about the quality of most of the food that I'm giving it five stars in spite of not liking the main. To get that slight negative out of the way, the Green Curry Rice is edible but not close to actual green curry. It also didn't taste of much. The starters, on the other hand, were a perfect taste of home. The Chicken Wings, the Complicated Noodles, and the Moo Ping were all exactly as they should be and the dessert - the Sago An-Chan - was even better than expected. Food came out quickly with minimal fuss, we caught the restaurant at just the right time of day so most of our meal wasn't crowded. If you love legitimate Thai food, this is a great place to get it.

The team went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and really cool design /vibe. Wonderful, you must go!

Went this evening was very quite only 1 or 2 tables in when we arrived. We were initially sat near the door in a hbar area, when we asked to move we were told we could sit further round but, would be charged £20 for these tables. We agreed and, were seated in a corner. Service was slow, took quite a while for our order to be taken. Other tables arrived and service was far quicker for them, in fact one table was seated and food brought over pretty much immediately. No one checked to see if the food was ok- which it wasn’t. The pork knuckle was very dry, the chicken in the pad Thai looked rotten and was bloody, discoloured and pink. We sat for a while after we’d finished picking at our food, trying to catch a waiters attention but no one came, finally we asked to see a manger to say about the service and food. We were given a discount but, certainly do not recommend this as a place to eat.

Unless you are Asian don’t go here. Staff didn’t even try and hide the fact they favour Asian customers and pay no attention to you unless you are Asian. Terrible terrible place. Avoid at all costs.

Amazing hidden place, when it comes to food. Traditional thai food. We have been here more than 10times. I like to think that they use fresh ingredients all the time. Always craving for food from this place.

Lovely food and very quick service on a Saturday night. The place was empty which is a shame!

Not just the usual standard Thai dishes here. I particularly enjoyed the roast chicken. Roast pork and grilled sea bass are also on the menu. The very modern starter, prawns coated with deep-fried rice (called Tempura Prawn here) was delicious. Definitely recommend if you fancy something else other than Pad Thai or Green Curry. By the way, Greyhound started off as a clothes shop in Bangkok in the mid 90s, they then started serving coffee and cakes in their boutiques. Eventually becoming a full restaurant business and shutting down as a fashion retailer.

Food is delicious, staff is friendly. We only had it to go, but ambience feels super positive, so will come back shortly.

Great food, even greater cocktails, and excellent service. Had a really lovely extra long lunch with a couple of friends here. Not particularly keen on the desserts, but the food and drinks more than made up for it.

I had an amazing experience at Greyhound Cafe which was very considerate of the party's dietary needs. The atmosphere was delightful and laid-back, and the location couldn't have been better. The service was outstanding, and the prawn pad thai was the night's star dish. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Thai food, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and hospitable.

Pretty good food and service. Much tastier than their other branches in Asia! I would be mindful of the spice, true Asian spice (aka two chilli symbols actually means it’s spicy) if you’re used to the western standard of spice. The Thai milk tea was amazing, hard to get right, well done.

We only had coffee, it was good.

Not impressed, food looks great on paper picture menu , But Faaaar from what they serve you, had Crispy duck salad, 4 pieces of duck and just plain green salad.... not worth it staff were all friendly except one who never smiled once, who took our plates without asking if we were done... When you go to the basement toilet you shocked over the cooking smoke coming from the open door kitchen.... Toilets are super clean

Brilliant service and a great meal here on 29th April. Highly recommend this restaurant. Mixed platter starters and Pad Thai , one pot shrimp. Wonderful birthday treat! My wife thought the country cake was perfect.

Based on the good reviews, I decided to come here for my birthday dinner and I was nervous because I had not dined here before. However, I was absolutely delighted with the Restaurant! Everyone was happy with their food, the service was great and the aesthetics aren't too bad either! I was pleasantly surprised with the Restaurant and highly recommend!

The Greyhound Cafe offers great food, friendly and efficient service and a convenient Central London location. I met up with old friends for dinner and we all had a super time.

One of my favourite in London. The food is really good with a dearth of veggie options, booking is straightforward and easy and there is a lot of space here. It is also relatively quiet which is rare for London. Would highly recommend. Also the three chilli dishes aren't really that spicy so if you really do want something with some fire you'll need to ask for it.

Worst dining experience in London ever. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this at all cost. Food is at best average and staff is bad and rude. They did not inform us that 10 pm is the last order. While placing the order we said we will add more dishes later and she still did not mention anything. Then she told us you can order desserts. But when we started ordering desserts other staff member said sorry kitchen is closed for desserts also and the lady serving us literally ran away to hide. Not at all the way you want to be treated at a restaurant where you are paying so much money for the food. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Good experience. The cocktail are okay for 8£ for two during the happy hour(whitout it not worth it). The prawn crackers are really good and the prawn and squid balls are amazing. The one bone chicken is good. Finally the holy basil chicken is really good compared to the prawn one. The service was really good and efficient !

Very tasty authentic Thai food! Great service, comfortable atmosphere, spacious but cosy, quite relaxing music, guests not as loud as in lots of restaurants in uk ;) Will definitely come back!

Perfetto per un pasto veloce ed informale con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Cucina thailandese con possibilità di mangiare carne, pesce o verdure, più o meno piccanti.

Good food. Rather over priced. Half of the food chosen from the menu weren’t available. Felt rather rushed by the waiters. They couldn’t wait to remover the plates. That removed the relaxing environment and made it a bit stressful. The sorbet wasn’t what we expected and was rather tasteless.

Proudly open in London, greyhound is the fancy Thai-fusion restaurant that has many branches in Bangkok. The menu here are not entirely the same in Bkk, the international dishes are omitted and give more variety of Thai dishes. A must menu for me is complicated noodle ( mince pork + lettuce and chilli sauce) my mom is a big fan It’s spacious as well but I went for lunch not sure how crowded it is during dinner time

After 1H of wait, they still did not start to cook the prawn tempura ordered. I would not recommend, or otherwise you can order today and hope to eat tomorrow

Buzzy bar, great happy hours 4-7pm with tasty sweetcorn pops and chicken skewers. Prawn crackers with 1st drink were a lovely touch.

The location is nice and clean, and the general service was quite decent. Food was good but noting out of the ordinary. The thai dishes in general lacked a bit on the spice, and the soup broth for the keuw teuw was also very tame in taste. Overall an ok experience, but you can get a better food experience for less at other locations.

Easily the most underrated Thai place I've eaten at. Service extremely fast and friendly. And the food is incredible value for money.

It’s ok. Starters were terrible. Calamari straight out of freezer and chewy. But the masaman curry was ok. Presentation needs work.

Average food with above average prices. Everything was just okay, from the chicken wing starter to the holy basil chicken meal we had. The soup that came with it was super bland. We initially wanted to order desserts too but decided to get dessert elsewhere to avoid disappointment.

Had lunch here, ordered the beef yum, it was great. It's down as an appetizer but found it big enough not to have to order anything else. Not too spicy.

During a 2-week trip to the UK - my fiancé and I were restaurant-bound almost every day - This will certainly be in my top 5. Food was great! Very tasty, excellent quality, fresh ingredients; good portion size - The best Thai food I have had in England. Atmosphere – brilliant, inside and outside (with heaters), very spacious. Drink choice – vast and well-presented Staff/Service - Coming from South Africa - where good service means your only ticket to surviving financially - I was not amused by the UK restaurant service but this place outshone every other with incredible, punctual, and friendly staff. They were always willing to cater to unique needs and requests and went over and above the norm. Good for groups of friends, business, intimate dates but unsure about families with children. Would recommend any day.

Great food and a brilliant location. Happy hour from 5 -7 so the Prosecco was good value. The food was really fab. My girlfriend has worked around the world and has great taste in food and a good knowledge of eastern cuisine and she rated it very highly so I'm happy.

Modernized Thai food. Pretty good

Rude and Dismissive Turned up as a walk in and the place was about half full. Was rudely told that the place was full, which was clearly nonsense. The was I was spoken to was as as if I’d walked in to the guys living room and asked him to go and make my dinner. Rarely leave bad reviews, been turned away from places without booking before, but they can shove their restaurant where the sun doesn’t shine. Avoid .

Trying to get the attention of the Servers was really a challenge, I felt we were working for them all through the evening in trying to get any service. The food was pretty awful, so we limited our ordering to not order too much, as I was looking forward to the pork knuckle, but after eating oil-soaked spare ribs as a starter I changed my mind. I get less oil on my hand when working on my classic car! We decided to cut the dinner short and leave but asked for the service charge to be removed, which they did accordingly with no fuss. However, when we shortened our food order (due to reservations) we asked for the grilled prawns (£17.50) to be cancelled which they did. when paying the bill the prawns had been left on and were not spotted by my group of three. I shall contact the restaurant directly to point this out to them.

A bit expensive and small plates

Sensational! The most authentic Thai food I have had in the UK, it is honestly just like you would get it Thailand. Service was fast & polite. 10/10, will absolutely visit again..unreal!

Had the Sizzling Rib Eye £22.50, there was nothing sizzling about it. Asked for Sweet and Spicy Stir Fried Chicken not the Sea Bass that’s on the menu. Would have thought that the price for chicken would be much less but no, was charged the same price as the Sea Bass £17.50, they could have told us when ordering. Boss lady not welcoming. Good point, the young waiter, very friendly. Will we be recommending the cafe to friends…no.

A posh central London Thai food experience. The outdoor tables are great for large groups, excellent service by native Thai people and modern menu.

Visited on a Friday evening for dinner and drinks with a friend visiting from Canada. I arrived early and happily sat alone on the front terrace with a cocktail and complementary crackers. There was a 3 for 2 happy hour until 7pm, so we started with mojitos. The service was warm and friendly and we were given a 5 minute warning for the end of happy hour, so we had some bellinis too for good measure. We had a mix of dishes including Prawn Pad Thai, Ribeye Satay and Complicated Noodles. Everything was delicious, nice decor and fabulous value at £116 for two with cocktails. Will definitely go back!

I already loved the greyhound branches In Bangkok. When I found out there was one in London I had to try it out immediately. It’s not as “experimental” as the restaurants in Thailand, but the essential thai flavours are there with a modern twist. Would recommend going to happy hours as well! Cocktails were delicious.

Beautiful food, well prepared and full of flavour. Great little find.

The food was fresh and the drinks were delicious. I ordered prawn fried rice which was delicious. My only complaint was that the sliced chilli's in the dish were tiny so it made it difficult to take them out if too much spice isn't your thing.
