One of my favourite Thai fusion spots in fitzrovia! I think the menu has changed a little bit, and it’s not *quite* as good as the one in Hong Kong, but it’s still an easy choice to go for lunch. The Thai milk tea is to die for, and the complicated noodles if you have time! I wanted to write a review specifically for one server—I asked for her name and promptly forgot it, but the whole lunch service of sept 17 was excellent and brightened my whole day!

Went there for lunch with a few friends and the five of us tried quite a few dishes on the menu🍴 All dishes we ordered tasted delicious and very “Thai” except for the pineapple fried rice which was a bit plain🍍 Would definitely recommend trying the sizzling rib eye, single bone wings, fried calamaris, and the prawn pad thai💕 The mango sticky rice and sago an-chen were both yummy and beautiful, making them perfect desserts☺️ The iced thai tea was on the sweet side but tasted authentic👌

A Delectable Thai Feast at Greyhound Cafe London Last week, I had the pleasure of dining at Greyhound Cafe in London, and what an experience it was! From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt welcomed and comfortable throughout our visit. The service was impeccable, setting the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey through Thai cuisine. Starters: A Symphony of Flavors Our meal began with a selection of starters that showcased the vibrant and diverse flavours of Thai cuisine. The GHC Single Bone Wings were a crispy delight, marinated in fish sauce and deep-fried with pandan leaves until golden and crunchy. Next up was the Hat Yai Crispy Fried Chicken, a Southern Thai speciality. The chicken, marinated in white pepper, coriander root, garlic, soy, and oyster sauce, was battered and fried to perfection, topped with crispy garlic and shallots, and served with a sweet chilli sauce. The Prawn Tempura with crispy rice was another standout, served with a tangy chilli and lime mayo. However, my personal favourite starter was the Chicken Satay. These tender, grilled chicken skewers were accompanied by a rich peanut sauce and homemade pickles, creating a perfect balance of savoury and tangy flavours. The Crispy Larb Balls offered a delightful crunch with minced chicken, rice noodles, herbs, dried chillies, cashew nuts, and crispy garlic. Lastly, the GHC Steamed Dumplings were a hit, with their chicken and prawn filling, served with a sweet and tangy dark soy sauce. Main Courses: A Culinary Adventure Moving on to the main courses, we were treated to a range of dishes that continued to impress. The Thai Sizzling Rib Eye Beef was a highlight, served on a hot plate with a spicy E-sarn dressing that elevated the perfectly grilled rib eye. The Panang Curry with Rib Eye Beef was a fragrant, creamy coconut curry that was both rich and comforting. No visit to a Thai restaurant would be complete without trying the Pad Thai. Greyhound Cafe’s version, featuring prawns and a recipe from Chanthaburi province, was superb. The dish included original rice noodles sautéed with tofu, beansprouts, and tamarind sauce, creating a flavorful and satisfying experience. The Kee Mao Noodles with Chicken was a spicy treat, featuring wide rice noodles stir-fried with garlic, chilli, Thai holy basil, and vegetables. This dish is perfect for those who crave bold, fiery flavours. The Chicken Kratiem Prik Thai offered a savoury alternative, with wok-fried chicken in a garlic sauce, served on a bed of broccoli, cabbage, and carrot, topped with roasted garlic. Dessert and Drinks: The Perfect Finale We ended our meal with the iconic Mango Sticky Rice, a traditional Thai dessert modernized with a coconut sherbet layer, coconut milk, sticky rice, and fresh mango. This was a delightful way to finish our meal, leaving us satisfied yet longing for more. Additionally, their Virgin Pina Colada was a standout, boasting a superb taste that was both refreshing and indulgent. As a testament to its unsurpassed food offering, the restaurant was awarded the impressive Thai SELECTS award, a mark of certification awarded by the Ministry of Commerce in Thailand which guarantees the authentic Thai taste of Thai food and restaurants. Overall, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Greyhound Cafe London. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere makes this restaurant a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Thai culinary adventure. We highly recommend it and look forward to our next visit! Halal options avavilable.

I work in the area and I'd wanted to go to Greyhound for years - nice enough restaurant, has a bit of a chain feel to it. The food - I had a penang curry, it lacked the authentic dryness that's the signature of this dish in Thailand, it also lacked any depth of flavour. The squid & shrimp balls were decent however. Overall there are better Thai places in London for half the price.

Overall, this restaurant offers great taste, though the prices are a bit on the higher side. Very warm waiter. **Satay Rib Eye:** The meat is tender, with a distinct curry flavor. The sauce has a smoky and sweet taste, pairing well with the crispy bread. Delicious. **Fried Squid:** The crispy batter on the squid is perfectly crunchy, making it a quality fried squid dish. **Pad Thai:** Generously loaded with chicken, complemented by lemongrass, crushed peanuts, and chili flakes. The ingredients are plentiful and well-balanced. **Red Curry Duck Leg:** The duck leg is stewed to softness, with the red curry offering a delightful flavor. Surprisingly, the curry includes lychees, making for an intriguing and delightful combination.

The location of the restaurant is a distance from tube station. Environment was quite nice. We came here for lunch. The food was quite nice but given that price and the portion is a bit small. Overall food was quite good as well, my main comment was the Pork Knuckle. We ordered half portion. I thought it was fired as a whole then cut into pieces but looks like they cut it first then deep fried it. That makes every piece crispy but those cut into smaller one will be too dried out. Also there is no indication of chilli in fried rice but there were chilli so be careful if you cannot eat chilli. Chicken wing was great. Duck leg noodle was amazing and the soup has a bit of sweetness which is very nice. I would rate 4 as I think there is room for improvement but it’s still worth trying if you fancy some Thai food.

lets just say not going again... tell me why I ordered a shrimp fried rice that's not meant to be spicy and now my tastebuds are burnt and it was sweet. the birthday boy spent £40 on a starter and the meal that's so silly and when we had booked the reservation it was a BIRTHDAY reservation and the lady on the phone had said there would be something special planned, the only thing planned was the outrageous prices and this review. the seating was uncomfortable although we called one week in advance we were put right by the door when we asked for a booth. the only thing that I throughly enjoyed was all the ice I ate cos of how spicy my food was and the best part of the night was when we left and went McDonalds for dessert. lets just say the birthday dinner flopped.this was written 1am and im starving the amount we paid did not match the food I'm starving and I've got NO MONEY TO GET FOOD COS OF YOU!!!!!! have a good evening tho!!! - the 6 teenagers who's bank you broke xxxx

It says a lot about the quality of most of the food that I'm giving it five stars in spite of not liking the main. To get that slight negative out of the way, the Green Curry Rice is edible but not close to actual green curry. It also didn't taste of much. The starters, on the other hand, were a perfect taste of home. The Chicken Wings, the Complicated Noodles, and the Moo Ping were all exactly as they should be and the dessert - the Sago An-Chan - was even better than expected. Food came out quickly with minimal fuss, we caught the restaurant at just the right time of day so most of our meal wasn't crowded. If you love legitimate Thai food, this is a great place to get it.

Went this evening was very quite only 1 or 2 tables in when we arrived. We were initially sat near the door in a hbar area, when we asked to move we were told we could sit further round but, would be charged £20 for these tables. We agreed and, were seated in a corner. Service was slow, took quite a while for our order to be taken. Other tables arrived and service was far quicker for them, in fact one table was seated and food brought over pretty much immediately. No one checked to see if the food was ok- which it wasn’t. The pork knuckle was very dry, the chicken in the pad Thai looked rotten and was bloody, discoloured and pink. We sat for a while after we’d finished picking at our food, trying to catch a waiters attention but no one came, finally we asked to see a manger to say about the service and food. We were given a discount but, certainly do not recommend this as a place to eat.

I recently dined at Greyhound Cafe London, and it was an exceptional culinary experience! From the moment I stepped in, the ambience was trendy and inviting, setting the stage for a delightful meal. The presentation of every dish was Instagram-worthy. The staff was attentive and friendly, providing great recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was perfect. The drinks were also a hit, with unique and delicious concoctions that complemented the food perfectly. The dessert menu was a sweet ending to our meal. Not just the usual standard Thai dishes here. I particularly enjoyed the roast chicken. Roast pork and grilled sea bass are also on the menu. The very modern starter, prawns coated with deep-fried rice (called Tempura Prawn here) was delicious. Definitely recommend if you fancy something else other than Pad Thai or Green Curry. By the way, Greyhound started off as a clothes shop in Bangkok in the mid 90s, they then started serving coffee and cakes in their boutiques. Eventually becoming a full restaurant business and shutting down as a fashion retailer.

One of my favourite in London. The food is really good with a dearth of veggie options, booking is straightforward and easy and there is a lot of space here. It is also relatively quiet which is rare for London. Would highly recommend. Worst dining experience in London ever. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this at all cost. Food is at best average and staff is bad and rude. They did not inform us that 10 pm is the last order. While placing the order we said we will add more dishes later and she still did not mention anything. Then she told us you can order desserts. But when we started ordering desserts other staff member said sorry kitchen is closed for desserts also and the lady serving us literally ran away to hide. Nice restaurant, presents Thai favourites in a modern fusion way. Also very nice surroundings in the restaurant. The food was good - but not the best pad Thai have ever tried.

Loved the restaurant vibe ! We went on Friday 5pm ish and it was quiet and nice. Food portion is good but a little bit pricy guess its due to its prime location…. But foods are tasty! 😋 Green curry and Tom Kha Gai are quiet spicy…🥵 Btw they have happy hour if you go between 5-7! Beer buy 3 get 1 free!

Proudly open in London, greyhound is the fancy Thai-fusion restaurant that has many branches in Bangkok. The menu here are not entirely the same in Bkk, the international dishes are omitted and give more variety of Thai dishes. A must menu for me is complicated noodle ( mince pork + lettuce and chilli sauce) my mom is a big fan It’s spacious as well but I went for lunch not sure how crowded it is during dinner time

You will meet one of most talented and friendly bartender Ivan (or Evan). I had a great conversation and got a chance to learn about the cockatiels he made for me. I just had a chicken cherar and it was good too. The size of the portion was bigger than I expected. I loved the background music. I’d love to go there again.

The worst Chinese food I've ever had. Very bad quality food. I couldn't eat most of it. I asked the waiter what they recommended and ordered a pork chop with rice dish and a drink. The drink was icy and had beans in it. The main meal was terrible, it seemed like pre-prepared egg fried rice with very fatty pork on top, and a sugary sweet and gloopy yellow sauce on top. It all tasted like it had been cooked way in advance. One table nearby that I started a conversation casually before eating asked the waiter what the dish contained when it arrived and she said she didn't know. She invited the manager over who told the people near me it was not cheese but a not spicy curry but couldn't give details about the ingredients. It gave me the impression they didn't even know what it was made of. It was so bad I couldn't eat most of it and couldn't finish my drink either. I spent just over 22 pounds on what appeared to be preprepared or microwaved food of very low quality. Chinatown is a tourist trap in my view, the restaurants here invest most of their money in rent and not much money in food quality and amount.
