The most delicious food and cocktails!!! We had a starter, main and non-alcoholic cocktails. I work for a local authority and am an agency worker on a modest income. Hakkasan was worth every penny and provided a delightful treat. The setting is beautiful with dimmed lights but because my vision needs light, I only scored 4 for atmosphere. It is accessible as there is a lift and the “very clean” toilets are on the ground floor. The food looks great and tastes even better.

Bring back Hanway Place…. I’ll not be heading back to Mayfair again. Service shocking, rude from the outset… reception could not find my reservation and I was pushed to one side to fine the mail, then no apology just the words- go down stairs - she would be the first to go. Staff did not wait on the stairs but push past, they’re the next to go…. Then our waiter, wow did he not want us to be there…. No smiles or greetings, lack of understanding…. Only thing quick to the table was the bill, that was before they’d even served the tea we ordered…. It’s a no from me, I’ll not be back even after being a client for 20 years…. How can it go so wrong.

Booked Hakkasan as a last minute booking in the area and it did not disappoint! Food was amazing, I’ve ate at many restaurants and the food and service from here was second to none. The atmosphere was perfect, it is dim but this was all part of the relaxed vibe I had when here. As a fussy eater, Im really hard to please when it comes to food but managed to find something for myself and each course was extremely tasteful and enjoyable. Steak cooked to perfection with great presentation. If your looking for somewhere with great service and good food, I’d recommend.

Visited the Hakkasan in Mayfair for the first time during the weekend and had an even better experience than my last visits to their Soho branch. All the dishes tasted delicious as usual and the presentation of their food was simply over-the-top and extravagant. I treated myself with the Stone Grilled Japanese A5 Wagyu this time, and was 100% satisfied with what we were served. The wagyu slices were fresh and marbly. A pinch of salt and a tiny bit of hoisin sauce was enough to elevate the wagyu beef to a whole next level. Will definitely order this again, highly recommended! I have been ordering their Crispy Duck Salad a few times now, but still can’t stop ordering the same whenever I visit. The duck in it was perfectly roasted, not too dry, not too soft, very crispy, and tasted just about right. The Dim Sum platter was also lovely, I can tell lots of imagination and creativity have gone into bringing it to life. A good balance of quality ingredients and creative interpretation of traditional Cantonese dim sum.

My experience at Hakkasan was simply flawless. The refined setting, with soft lighting and an intimate atmosphere, immediately creates a sense of exclusivity. The service was attentive and professional, with staff who were always friendly and accommodating. And the food? A triumph of flavors: dishes with authentic taste, beautifully presented with creativity. The dim sum platter and the Peking duck were especially outstanding. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to deliver a top-tier dining experience. I will definitely be returning.

The food at Hakkasan Mayfair was absolutely incredible every dish was bursting with flavour and beautifully plated. Service was also top notch: attentive, professional, and seamless throughout the evening. However, the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. The space was extremely loud and overcrowded, with tables packed so tightly that it felt almost claustrophobic. It was hard to have a proper conversation without raising our voices, and the lack of privacy definitely took away from the otherwise luxurious experience. Go for the food and service, but don’t expect a quiet, intimate dinner.

The atmosphere was nice, although the lighting was a little dim, but that wasn't a problem. The service was excellent and professional, and the food was delicious. The first course, the dim sum, every bite tasted different and was very delicious. The steamed Chilean sea bass, it tastes delicious, you can't stop eating it. In short, dishes with no mistakes. Although a little expensive, I highly recommend it to those who love food and special flavours.

Food is very nice and we came back a second time but the service was very different/a lot worse. We had to ask to order and was only able to do a drinks order. We asked to order food but we got yelled out because he only does drinks. He said he’d go get our food waiter but he did not. We were left half an hour before our food waiter came to take our food order. He said “I was gone a while huh” laughing about it, no apology, very odd. He provided very poor service. So many waiters just walking about with the ability to only do one small part of a job like one person takes the food order, another tosses a salad etc etc.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice but a bit on the dark side. The service was ok, but it took a while to flag a server down when we needed something. I’d say the food was pretty average with nothing particularly standing out as exceptional. It has been some years since I last experienced Hakkasan. It's really impressive how after more than 20 years, when I first visited in 2002, the quality remains as high as ever, the service is still top notch and the ambience is relaxed and groovy. For us personally, this is one of the best places to eat in London, despite the hefty wallet impact it produces. As we did many times before, we started with the delicious Dim Sum platter, followed by the wonderful crispy duck salad and the Beef filet with black pepper and an egg fried rice and asparagus with garlic sides. We cannot recommend enough the Hakka cocktail for those who appreciate exotic flavours to match this food. What a treat !

Good evening to all the hakkasan team I would love to share my experience at the restaurant with my honest point. When we arrived, we were greeted with a smile by the Spanish-speaking girl who was always friendly and natural, but her companion was quite fake and rude. I understand that I asked twice where I could pick up my coat, but she couldn't answer me rudely and with bad temper, using a tone of "I'm fed up with everything." We went to have some drinks at the bar where we had a chat since we arrived early for the reservation and we had two whiskeys and then a shared cocktail, as you can see in the picture. The bartenders were very professional but not very interactive or passionate, although I don't blame them. They sat us at the table. We ordered a bottle of sake, where the sommelier was very friendly and helped us, but the service was the worst I've ever experienced. Dry, listless, poor, and rushed at the end to leave so they could close. The waiter never served water or wine. None of the dishes were explained, not even the 3 ingredients, which I think is the minimum. But even mentioning the name seems ridiculous to me. The manager pressured us with payment and desserts because it was obvious they were so intent on closing that we had 4-5 people surrounding us, which was quite uncomfortable. It's a shame, with such good food, that you ruin it this way with such bland and lackluster service. At times, I felt like I was at a cemetery ceremony. The duck with truffle sauce was incredible, and the dim sum was of quite good quality, although I was somewhat disappointed with the char siu, but it was acceptable. The kitchen deserves a 10 for the work and the pressure of the almost full restaurant without making any mistakes. My conclusion is that you train your front-of-house staff and waiters. Also, the managers should be more on top of the situation and what's happening in the restaurant, since I work in the same industry. If you want more details, contact me. I was very disappointed with the experience, the only thing that made it incredible was the company I had.

I was expecting a five star professional service nothing more. The food was top notch. I used to love coming here, a few months ago I came wearing full Fendi and the door man said let me check with management if its ok and it was fine. Then last Wednesday I turned up wearing full Moncler and the same door man said I cant let you in as you are wearing a tracksuit, I couldn’t be bothered to argue with him, told him to cancel my reservation and we happily walked in to Novikov instead. They acknowledged my Moncler and said no problem come in. Revision: After speaking to a lovely lady named Aneta we tried our luck again at Hakkasan in Mayfair, the experience was as I remember from the first few times I have visited, very warm and welcoming atmosphere with great service and delicious food, I hope they keep up the same level of service as expected from a high quality Mayfair restaurant. Overall, the Sunday Brunch is excellent value. The cocktails are outstanding, and the food is exquisite. Two minor issues: the service was slightly off in that we had to ask twice about one missing dish, and secondly, the back seat I was sat on was possibly the most uncomfortable thing I have ever used. Wow. Went today to try the new Signature Brunch menu, and I am thoroughly impressed. Each part of the menu was so delicious and well presented. The crispy duck salad was incredible, and the flavours of the steamed and baked dim sum were flawlessly balanced. The stir fry rib eye was tender, the seasonal veg was perfectly cooked. You also must try the black truffle duck and Pears Helene (a la carte). Everything was finely tuned - from the textures and flavours of the food, to the background music and faint incense in the stairwell which created a relaxing atmosphere. I highly, highly recommend - the quality of the food speaks for itself. Will hopefully be returning again soon. Thank you to the manager Joao and the staff for making this such a positive experience.

The food was good but the portion sizes in comparison with the price is definitely not worth it. Atmosphere is alright but the service was terrible. Our table wasn’t ready despite being on time for our reservation. We was rushed to pay and leave as soon as we finished our meal. The way they spoke to us was definitely not professional especially for the type of restaurant this is. The question isn't how did they lost the star, but how could they actually hold one. To me it totally felt like a great idea that went south as ownership involvement declined. When ordering a tasting menu it's easy to understand how meticulous a place is: balancing ingredients, portions and rythm is crucial. In Hakkasan no one though about any of the above. Huge portions, heavy preparations (fried, carbs, etc in all preps) and rythm is inexistent. Other than that, service is one of the worse I've experienced: Absent from 10pm, unprofessional and with 0 intention to make you feel comfortable. A quite methaforical anecdote was to see the waiter asking us if we wanted to record how he served the dessert, droping water into the tray to generate useless smoke. So yeah, that's Hakkasan for me, useless smoke. London has amazing restaurants in every corner, don't waste your money in Hakkasan.

Hakkasan Mayfair offers a refined Cantonese dining experience in a sleek, intimate setting with polished service. We started with the Steamed Dim Sum Trio, featuring delicate lobster, Dover sole, and wild mushroom dumplings, and the Crispy Duck Salad, which had a perfect balance of crispiness and freshness. The Grilled Chilean Sea Bass in Honey was buttery and well-glazed, while the Stir-Fried Black Pepper Rib Eye Beef with Merlot was rich and flavorful. The Signature Peking Duck with Beluga Caviar was indulgent and expertly prepared. With elegant desserts and well-executed sides like the Stir-Fried Gai Lan, the meal felt complete. While pricey, Hakkasan delivers on quality, making it a top choice for special occasions or an upscale Cantonese feast.

Highly recommended by our British friend, we were excited to try this restaurant. The experience was interesting from the moment we arrived — there was a standalone cloakroom service attended by a well-presented young gentleman. The hostess greeted us with a lovely smile, but communication was lacking. We were directed to the basement area and had to repeat our request again, which felt a little disorganised. Arriving early, we had a drink at the bar. The taste was fair, though priced at £20 — as expected for Mayfair. We had been craving Peking Duck for a while and were excited to order it. The duck was beautifully cooked, and the whole duck was presented to us just 10 minutes after placing our order. However, it strangely returned to our table 50 minutes later. It made us wonder if it was staged, showing the same duck to every table who ordered Peking Duck. Our server was attentive and genuinely tried his best. That said, we were asked more than 10 times from start to finish, “How was your starter?”, “How was your duck?”, “How was your…?” — it became rather annoying and intrusive. The ambiance was cosy but the music was quite loud, making it hard to hear conversations from our own table. Overall, I’d probably suggest Imperial Treasure instead — the food is more authentic, the service much better, and the price point is similar.

Booked a table for a friend's birthday on Saturday 15th as we'd heard good things about the restaurants. Our table was booked for 9pm. We got there for around 8.50pm, being mindful that we were asked not to be late. We were shown to the bar to wait for our table. At the bar the waiter looked in our direction twice but did not come to ask what we wanted nor offer us a drinks menu, we had to ask the person clearing the glasses for this. At 9.20pm we were still sat the bar without a drink, we managed to flag one of the ladies in charge of seating people to ask when our table will be ready but she didn't seem sure, I informed her about the bar situation which she apologised for but when she went to speak to the bar person he just shrugged his shoulders. When he did come to us he did not apologise for the wait. We were eventually sat at 9.36pm, no real apology for the delay. When sat the server did not explain the menu until we asked and not once were we asked how our meal was. For the price charged I expected better service, food and ambiance.

Quite disappointed with the experience at Hakkasan today. First of all, despite booking a table for 7:45pm, the table was not ready until 8:15pm. We had to wait at the bar, no complimentary drinks or otherwise offered and communication very poor on what’s happening (no apologies offered either). Throughout the meal, service seemed well intentioned but very disorganised. Frequently items we asked for took almost 15mins or more to arrive (like coffee after dessert). The table was not cleaned of dishes for good 20mins after we finished eating. It was almost impossible to flag a waiter despite so many of them walking around. Yes, the food was mostly v good and some dishes outstanding; like dimsum or crispy duck. However this doesn’t make up fully for poor service and frankly expensive prices. You can get much better than this in London and I’m not surprised this places lost its Michelin star. Frankly I don’t think it’s anywhere near the standard needed for it.

I guess its…just good enough to not be upset? Don’t get me wrong, I will not be recommending this place, but its just good enough to not complain. Had two set menus between two of us and we have shared to try a variety. The dim sum were weirdly hot in some spots and cold in others, but otherwise quite good and very pretty too. The mushroom spring rolls were quite nice, but nothing more than that. The chicken in satay sauce (that felt like satay soup which was also split) was overcooked but with very nice crispy skin, the other main was so boring that after two days I already forgotten what it was. The dessert was a giant parfait hazelnut-chocolate ball that confused me, served with room temperature chocolate sauce. Everything was plated in such an outdated way that after appetisers I didn’t even bother taking photos, I think that says a lot. The cocktails were okay, but maybe the ones we have tried were quite uninspired. Had the margarita from their monthly specials (with very AI-generated art) and a wildflower from their normal menu. The cleanliness standard I feel was quite low considering the expectations. The lamp above our table was very dusty, the waiter set the table next to us that still had food bits on it, and very weird one, but the cables on the ceiling in the bathroom made me gag (heard something above me and when I looked up I have seen the LAYERS of dust bunnies above me) The service was okayish. The host/waiter didn’t coordinate on us having a set menu so we have received normal menus, until our waiter came back and we could ask for menus that we actually booked for. Quite weird that we had napkins placed on our legs, but had to refill our water glasses. I don’t mind doing either myself but it feels weird to do one but not the other. Waiter that has welcomed us and told us he will be looking after us disappeared around main courses and someone else was doing rest of the service. The staff looked generally quite groggy and tired. The explanation of the dishes felt rushed and not really trying to make it sound appetising. We were checked on only when we were nearing finishing our courses, so even if we were to raise issues, it would have been too late. But on the other side we did not wait long for food, the drinks arrived quickly and the staff was polite, so I guess that works. Not bad enough to complain, not good enough to come back. Mostly boring, so not surprised they have lost a star. There is way too many great restaurants in London at similar price point or lower to bother imo.

Having dined with the Tao group before at the Ritz in Mexico City, we were highly anticipating this experience. However, the service fell very short and felt very uninviting, there was no assistance with the menu, explanation of what items were coming to the table once food arrived. There were a lot of staff coming and going from our table, pouring water sloppy and splashing all over. We selected the plum tasting menu and luckily the food made up for the lack of friendliness. Some dishes were greater than others with the dumplings and dessert taking the lead on our dining experience. Overall, I’m not sure I’d be willing to come back to a tao establishment given the inconsistency in services and standard.

Duck two ways and dim sum would definitely be the highlight of Hakkasan food-wise for me. I usually go for XO sauce for the second way of my duck and would recommend the same for anyone who hasn’t tried it yet. A selection of dishes to share and try a bit of everything is ideal as the portions are not small but not big either and each one is a unique blend of flavours that everyone should try. Cocktails, loud music, and high-end dining: the atmosphere is phenomenal and very upbeat. Great for friends night out, or a date.

One of Londons best restaurants. Very nice design, friendly and knowledgeable staff giving great recommendations. Intimate atmosphere with great music that sets a good vibe yet is not too loud enabling to have a conversation. Very tasty cocktails. All dishes that we ordered were phenomenal - shrimps in curry, wagyu dumplings, extraordinary rice and amazing pak Choi as well as an extraordinary duck salad. A place definitely worth returning to.

This Chinese restaurant is decorated in a Western style and was once a Michelin-starred restaurant. Are the rules a bit strange? If I order a set meal, do I have to order two portions? So we ordered the soup and ordered the soft-shell crab. The soft-shell crab was very crispy and fragrant. The ingredients were very similar to rice noodles, and the taste was very special. The pre-dinner cocktail was served first. The large ice cubes were sprinkled with gold foil, and the taste was mild. The first avocado salad was rich in flavor with many side dishes. The crab meat cake is garnished with caviar, and there is popcorn underneath which makes it very crispy and fragrant. There is a piece of dried pineapple on the beef ribs, which is sprinkled with gold foil. The beef has a little fishy smell, but the texture is very smooth and tender and overwhelms the fishy smell of the beef. The shrimp fried rice is large in portion and tastes amazing. The cabbage is shredded very finely, and the rice grains are stir-fried to bring out the fragrance. The fried rice is really good. The shiitake mushrooms in Babao Vegetarian Cuisine are very large and plump, but they are really fragrant. ...No need to explain the other dishes... This restaurant is the most expensive meal I have ever had in the UK, but it is also the most delicious and filling meal. The Chinese restaurants in the UK are really terrible. I really have never had a decent and delicious Chinese restaurant in the UK. These Chinese restaurants are very mixed! Not specialized!

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant on Sat night. i booked a post theatre dinner with a reservation at 11.15. They accept reservations up til 11.30 I had my son and daughter with me. We arrived at 11.10 and were told to hurry up and order as the kitchen was closing, so we put in an order and ordered a drink. All of the food, starters and main courses arrived ten minutes later, with all the dishes piled on top of each other on the tiny table. The food quickly went cold as it was impossible to eat it fast enough. It was a cold mess! We were astonished at what happened. The waitress then brought our second round of drinks and three minutes later a bouncer dressed in a black coat walked up and told us to hurry up and finish our drinks. At this point i was disgusted and asked for the bill which was £368. I called over one of the staff who looked more like management. He asked for my receipt and went over to the till and was speaking to the bouncer and waitresses. He returned with some strange looking pot of desert in a bag and said sorry about that. He did not return my receipt either. it was all utter rubbish and we got up and left without the time to drink our second drinks. Hakkasan should not advertise late bookings on opentable as they do not wish to honour them. The night was an expensive insult’. I shall not be returning.

I came here to celebrate the lunar new year. To my surprise there was a lion dance there which was really interesting to watch! The food was really delicious even though I ordered from the taste of hakkasan menu (which was reasonably priced! ) the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The venue was really nicely decorated however it is quite loud (after the lion dance as well).

Hakkasan Mayfair has long held a reputation for its exquisite modern Cantonese cuisine and opulent ambiance. However, their recent New Lunar Year dinner experience truly elevated this reputation, offering a symphony of flavors, impeccable service, and a celebratory atmosphere that left a lasting impression. From the moment I stepped into the dimly lit, yet undeniably glamorous dining room, I was transported to a world of refined elegance. The restaurant's signature dark wood and intricate latticework created an intimate and sophisticated setting, perfect for a special occasion. The festive decorations, subtly woven into the existing décor, added a touch of celebratory cheer without being overwhelming. The New Lunar Year menu was a culinary masterpiece, a testament to Hakkasan's commitment to using the finest ingredients and innovative techniques. Each dish was a work of art, both visually stunning and bursting with flavor. The standout dishes included: The Prosperity Toss Salad: A vibrant and refreshing start to the meal, with colorful vegetables, delicate slivers of fish, and a tangy dressing that symbolized good fortune for the year ahead. The Golden Fortune Dumplings: Exquisitely crafted dumplings filled with succulent seafood and adorned with edible gold leaf, a symbol of wealth and prosperity. The Longevity Noodles: A seemingly simple dish of noodles, but elevated to new heights with its rich broth and perfectly cooked strands, representing a long and healthy life. The Sweet Harmony Dessert: A delicate and beautifully presented dessert that combined traditional Chinese flavors with a modern twist, a sweet ending to a memorable meal. Beyond the exceptional food, the service at Hakkasan Mayfair was truly outstanding. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a memorable dining experience. They were happy to explain the significance of each dish and offer recommendations on wine pairings, making the entire meal feel personalized and special. The food tastes okay, quite average. I think the service is not very good, maybe because there are too many people, and it takes a long time to order and pay. The atmosphere is not good either, because there are too many people and the whole restaurant is very noisy. If you are here for a date, it is best not to choose this restaurant.

A must visit while in London. Quite possible one of the best meals I have had. This Cantonese hot spots attention to detail shows in the cocktails, 🍹 with a branded round ice cube to the perfectly arranged dumplings so visually appealing, you knew they were going to be tasty. Hakkasan’s staff was attentive & professional. The chef 🧑🍳 served a white rice so full of flavorful spices… throughout dinner we had a DJ playing the perfect mix of music. The decor was also a feast for the eyes… ❤️ and follow

Excellent service from door to table and the chefs and waiters/waitresses. They did really well and accommodated my group with all our needs including their set menus. My group enjoyed and I’m happy they had a good experience in London on their visit from outside London. Five stars! 🌟

The food was really nothing special. You could find exactly the same stuff for a fraction of the price in Chinatown and it would be much better. You’re only paying for the location and the snob factor which frankly I couldn’t care less about. In fact, it’s a little pathetic.

Did not like in the downstairs part if I’m honest. Took a while to get first drinks- but fine after they eventually came over. Food is excellent but they probably could have spaced out the dishes a bit more as got cold. Don’t get me wrong, this is a first class restaurant, but these are important details when parting with £200 per head.

Hakkasan Mayfair was an incredible dining experience and the perfect introduction to London's culinary scene during my first trip to the city. From the moment I walked in, I was completely captivated by the restaurant's sophisticated and vibrant atmosphere. The staff were truly exceptional - especially Edgar, who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive from start to finish. Their menu recommendations were spot on, showcasing an impressive understanding of the cuisine and a genuine desire to ensure I had the best possible dining experience. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every single dish was meticulously prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with incredible flavors. The culinary craftsmanship was evident in every bite. The atmosphere was another highlight - simultaneously cool, elegant, and energetic. It struck the perfect balance between fine dining sophistication and a fun, welcoming environment. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to London, and Hakkasan Mayfair will absolutely be my first dining destination. Surely will be coming back soon!

Best part about this place is the service. We were served mainly by Aziz who was great, but the whole staff was super kind and helpful. We also enjoyed the variety of flavors! I loved dim sums, crispy duck salad and stir fried beef! P.S. it was great that we had no issues visiting this place with newborn in pram.

This was a lovely restaurant, very busy at 6:30 pm on a Wednesday evening and I would certainly recommend booking. The waitress looking after us was really helpful however there are two negatives to this restaurant that I feel worth pointing out to make other diners aware. 1. They advertise having a happy hour both outside the restaurant and on the front of the menu that they give you when you sit down at your table. However, if you are a diner happy hour doesn’t apply to you, you can only access the happy hour if you are not eating and are sitting at the bar which just felt a little wrong as we were paying full price for our drinks, when are sat at the bar weren’t and we were pre-booked and sitting and spending a lot of money in their restaurant, I feel they could be a little bit more accommodating with this. 2. They offer a number of set menus both for lunchtime pre-theatre and a full tasting experience however none of these actually cater for a vegetarian. There is a selection of vegetarian dishes on the menu which were actually really nice. It would just be a little nicer if you were also able to do the tasting that menu experience as a vegetarian. Apart from those two issues we really enjoyed the food and would probably go back again just a little bit disappointing that they were aware of these issues as they told us other other diners had raised them but hadn’t done anything about it .

I had a great dining experience. I ordered the kimchi pancake, banchan set, jeyuk bokkeum (spicy pork stir-fry), and Korean fried chicken. The kimchi pancake was crispy on the outside and full of flavour . The banchan set was generous, with a good variety of classic side dishes like kimchi, cucumber kimchi , and seasoned spinach, all fresh and tasty. The jeyuk bokkeum was a standout: the pork was tender, well-marinated, and had just the right amount of heat. The Korean fried chicken was crispy and juicy. Service was friendly. Overall, everything felt authentic and thoughtfully prepared. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone craving solid Korean comfort food.
