A large restaurant arranged on the ground and basement serving modern Chinese food with good service.

Excellent food however the service should have been better considering the price. For example we waited quite a while for drinks each time we ordered and it took some effort to get the waiters attention if we had any questions. Overall service felt commercial/clinical rather than personal. I personally wouldn't return for dining in.

Completely over priced nonsense. Signature dishes served with wilted salad that wouldn't have looked out of place in a grotty Harvester. Sevice that could barely raise a smile, be bothered to work out which of the cocktails we were being served contained alcohol and which didn't (leaving us to have to work it out) or remember to place an order for all the dishes we ordered. It felt like a very tired and extremely overpriced experience trading on a brand name whilst delivering an experience that doesn't even come close to delivering on food quality or service from a restaurant that is 25% of the cost. You can tell that they don't care because I sent them detailed feedback when they requested it after our booking but nobody bothered to respond. Avoid this place. -------------------------- UPDATE - they still haven't replied to the detailed feedback they asked for via their booking system.

We was very disappointed firstly the tables are to close together the people sitting next to you are on your lap it’s ridiculous. The food is so overpriced it’s laughable £38 for chow Sui pork we got 5 tiny pieces of pork the wouldn’t feed a cat and had absolutely no taste to it. The food was average at best not much taste to any of it really disappointed really bland tasteless food the place itself held a good bubbly atmosphere if you want to get ripped off go there they are robbing you for your money BE WARNED!

Food was absolutely average. Hostess stand had no clue of what they were doing!! New ownership means it has gone down hill

I enjoyed the vegan dim sum—it was delicious! However, the chicken senapi with steamed rice was not tasty😖. The reception staff were very welcoming, but overall table service was just okay/dry—considering the 11% service charge, I expected better. Was it worth the money? Unfortunately, no.

Fantastic food and table service. Shame that the front of house ladies were so rude about us having children and pushchairs after the booking team had left a voicemail saying it was ok, just no high chairs. Also a shame that the wooden structures were so filthy which was really highlighted when the lights shone on it

We've been several times and normally are very happy, but on this occasion the service was poor and food was barely warm when delivered to table. Not up to expectations.

Experience was outstanding. We were also given a desert for my Wife's Birthday with her name on it. The only thing I did not like is they made me wait 30 minutes which I felt was really frustrating since I made the booking weeks in advance.

We dined at the restaurant for dinner. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was exceptionally delightful. However, one area that could benefit from enhancement is the dress code, as I believe this establishment should implement a dress code policy.

When ordering make sure to inform them to serve starters before main dish or otherwise they might serve the main dish even before the soup or salad or the appetizers

We came here for dinner for the first time. The service was exceptional, very attentive polite staff. The food was very good and the cocktails were delicious. I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, the famous peking duck was also done well and served nicely all ready to eat. It was very busy even for a Sunday night and I liked the ambience. I didn’t give 5 stars because it’s quite pricey and the restroom is a bit small for the number of tables they had. We were also asked to leave our table and sit at the bar after about 2.5 hours because apparently they needed the table but we stayed at the bar for another 2 hours having drinks and the whole time we didn’t see anyone sat at our table and there were actually a few other empty tables, so don’t understand the rush of getting us out, not great

Highly recommended! Great cuisine, great ambience, just great. There is nothing more to add. A must on every trip to London! Be sure to reserve on the weekend. Best in the basement or on the ground floor. Great food, great people!

Great experience as always. The food and atmosphere is fantastic. Though there was some confusion about our dishes but overall fantastic experience.

The security at the gate tied up the tape to signal us to not go in without a reservation, as if just saying it wasn't enough 😂 PS: This was around 11pm on a weekday

Small portions of food . I really enjoyed the food I got but it’s not the place or food I enjoyed it was the company of my partner. They give you a set menu if you have a voucher as a gift with tiny portions of food , no voucher big plates of food ?

A superb place in every sense. The perfect mixture of delicious food, a great choice of drinks and a fabulous atmosphere will spice your stay and enjoyment just enough that you won't be able to resist coming back again.

The place is now relying on its old reputation it taste of food for the price is not good enough! We had the premium most expensive menu and finished not satisfied!

Food was bang average. Service was excellent. Go to duck and rice for better food and less expense. Go to park chinois for better food and unbelievable atmosphere. £75 per head is what we paid for vegetarian and vegan food.

We took the set menus which were very disapointing! We were 6 people but we shared same size plates as the table of 4 next to us. The food did not justify the price, it was mainly deep fried and not very flavousome. It ended up costing over £200 per head. The place was super busy so we cannot say that the atmosphere was great either. Will not return.

Can I just say Thank you to the Hakkasan team, I was very late, due to miscalculation of traffic, road works etc. Staff were still very very accommodating, they didn’t kick of a fuss they were very polite and professional they simply asked us to wait for a free table before being seated. The food was 10/10 the drinks were spot on everything about this night was fab. Thank you will deffo be back in the new years x

The food was amazing. We were sat near where the waiters reside and they were constantly giggling to themselves and considering we were celebrating an engagement, a good table would have been nice - this was quite off putting. Other than that service was great. We got the signature menu which is also great value.

Food was exquisite. We enjoyed the Shou menu, can’t complain about the food. However the two welcoming staff at the entrance were straight up ignoring the hellos and goodbyes, we had to wait 10minutes to be seated when it wasn’t really busy. The waiters were friendly but a bit all over the place. Not the most well organized service for an establishment with supposed higher standards.

Overall a really nice experience and some wonderful food and wines , shame the service let the overall experience down, must say the first wine sommelier was amazing

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Hakkasan. The waiting staff were exceptionally attentive and provided clear and helpful explanations throughout our meal. We opted for the Taste of Hakkasan menu, starting with the vegan dim sum and duck salad—both excellent choices. For the mains, my partner chose the spicy prawns, which were flavorful but lacked the expected spiciness, while I had the ribeye. Unfortunately, the ribeye was slightly overcooked and a bit tough, though I hadn’t specified medium rare. We also ordered a side of pak choi in oyster sauce, which complemented the meal beautifully. Dessert was delightful, with hazelnut ice cream—a personal favorite—though it felt less aligned with traditional Cantonese flavors. The cocktails were a highlight, skillfully crafted and beautifully presented. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d gladly return to explore more of the menu.

Excellent bday celebration. 4th time that we have been. Excellent food, very attentive service from Maria (from Brazill) and her team. I tend to go for my bdays and I am never disappointed. Their taste of Hakkasan deal is also value for money for a restaurant of this calibre. Thank you for making my birthday special.

From the moment we stepped into Hakkasan Mayfair, it was clear we were in for an exceptional experience. Despite arriving earlier than our booking time, the staff were incredibly accommodating and managed to seat us without any fuss—a gesture that set the tone for the evening. The warm and friendly greeting from every member of the team made us feel immediately welcome. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was phenomenal—an elegant mix of sophistication and vibrancy that created the perfect backdrop for our evening. A special mention must go to the sommelier, Sasha/Sacha (excuse the spelling), whose expertise elevated our dining experience. His recommendations on both the red and dessert wines were spot on and perfectly complemented the exquisite dishes we enjoyed. Speaking of the food, every single dish that came out was an absolute delight. The flavours were refined, the presentation flawless, and the quality second to none. If you go, do not miss the duck salad—it’s truly something special and one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. For my first visit to Hakkasan Mayfair, I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. I loved every second of it, and I can’t wait to return. This restaurant is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a world-class dining experience. Five stars well deserved!

this is definitely one of the best restaurants in London food is amazing. Atmosphere is great. The service is untouchable. Everyone must try this restaurant it will end up being your go to Restaurant when you travel to London

Incredibly efficient and attentive staff. Our son has autism and they were very sensitive to us. I’ve dined here many times in a business capacity but never much personal. However, our family will definitely coming back!

Lunchtime at Hakkasan. Fabulous treat. Excellent value, three courses for £39pp. We indulged with the £49 option with a glass of champagne. To start we had the crispy duck (£5 supplement) and crispy rolls. For mains we had the beef and the spicy prawns. Every plate was superb, presented with care and delicious. A lovely chocolate dessert to finish. Paid extra for a fine cocktail each - the smokey Negroni was fabulous. Excellent attentive service - wonderful time. Highly recommend

Found this by accident and decided to check it out. Now I have had my far share if Chinese food but this place served top notch Chinese food. Will definitely go back!

The roast duck was awful and not hot and we weren't shown the whole intact duck, and the other dishes didn't feel like Chinese food at all, not for Chinese people. I am a Chinese social media blogger and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We sat in the corner and the waiter couldn't see us, so I don't think the 15 % service charge is worth it either."

It is important to write that we have been there during lunch time, but we were impressed! Their service is perfect, but their food is excellent! My last visit there was time ago, but Hakkasan’s menu is improved and very delicious! Thank you Hakkasan Mayfair!

Hakkasan starts to amaze you already at the entrance. The place is gorgeous and staff's hospitality is rare. The food is truly perfect. Dont miss the Peking duck salad and the smoked rib. We loved every minute there.

Foods was abit pricey but very nice. Service was fantastic, very attentive so we didn’t mind paying £100 for service. The place was quite dark didn’t look as glamorous as we would have like. But overall foods was nice. The duck was far too pricey we probably enjoy it more with just the duck itself with the bones. Probably never order that duck again .

Great food, nice atmosphere however terrible service from our waiter. She was rude. I have never seen something like that. At one point I had to asked is she is ok, what is happening? She rushed us throughout the entire night. When I asked for a drink she told “the drinks comes in seconds, tell me the food order please”??? When we asked for a second duck salad, she rolled her eyes. What is this? 😄 must have been a joke.

Food excellent and very tasty. Service was strange - for example, our waiter wouldn’t take our wine order, it had to be the sommelier. Then another waiter didn’t know which wine we were drinking! All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, it seems though that they are managed by ‘process’! We had a lovely evening though!

Two of us had the Jade menu, no alcohol and the final bill came to just under £600. I find this extremely high for the food and service received. For example the rice came after we had already finished our main dishes - I didn't expect to eat a bowl of plain rice by itself at a £600 meal. The wagyu steak was a handful of small cubes and we had an item that wasn't listed and we weren't told - scallops was replaced by octopus. I'm sorry but I've received better service paying significantly less for a meal for two.

I want to lead by saying there was nothing really wrong with our time at Hakkasan Mayfair. The staff were attentive, the food was good and the atmosphere was bustling. However, I cannot recommend this restaurant largely due to the frankly astronomical prices. The set menus will set you back a minimum of over £100 a person (and most are even more) with even the ‘Small Plates’ from the a la carte cost over £20. I paid £33 for sweet and sour pork. Again, this was a good plate of food, but wasn’t anything special and was on the smaller side in terms of size. The restaurant was PACKED at 2045 on a Monday, and we had to wait nearly 20 minutes for our table to be ready despite booking. Again, this was not an issue as we were invited to sit at the bar, but this was also packed with awkward standing room only. The cocktails were professionally made but will again set you back £20-30 per cocktail. Overall this was a nice restaurant with good service and classic central London pricing. I cannot recommend it due to the cost to value rate, but equally if you have the money and don’t mind spending it you will not have a bad experience here.

Beautiful food great service ambience and music Recommend

We booked two tables for 9:30 pm and were seated at 11pm. Tables were miles apart. Taking into consideration they couldn’t even seat us on time they should have least made an effort to seat us close to each other . The discretionary service was in the region of 300£. I should have asked for it to be removed but then again it wasn’t the fault of the waiters who did their best.

We had booked two tables for 21:30. Unfortunately they sat us at 22:30 and 23:00 respectively. We were really annoyed and frustrated. We were waiting at the bar the whole time and there were no seats at that time until our tables were ready. The food was ok and overpriced. We did not had a good time because the whole group was tired from the waiting.

Overrated, over hyped, over priced mediocrity. Everything is done as fast as possible. Get in, eat, get out, we've got more money to make. Completely impersonal from the entrance and table service to the exit. You'd tolerate it if the food was exceptional. It isn't. People rate the atmosphere? There's a constant pub like drone of people's voices, it's dark, it's huge... It's incredible how places like these make such a name for themselves.

Aside from the rude receptionist who couldn't be bothered to find my reservation, the rest of the experience was fantastic. The Greek manager and his team were outstanding, making our night truly memorable. As always, the food was exceptional.

It was really unfortunate, I wanted this to be a special experience and it just wasn't. We ended up being seated in the basement which was quiet, until another guest arrived and were seated right next to us?! I had to be careful where I put my feet, otherwise the table would wobble. I asked for a fish recommendation and ended up with pork dumplings. I had a drink by the glass, and the glass was half full. The experience was average and the food was overpriced for the food and experience offered. It was a massive shame but I can see why they didn't retain their Michelin star.

Great chic place for creative dumplings/dim sum in London’s Mayfair. Elegant ambiance and decor complemented by professional and attentive service. While I would not describe the cuisine as proper Cantonese, the food is exquisite, both in terms of flavour and presentation. The only minor downside is that the dumpling count most times seemed to be 3 (at least when we visited for lunch and ordering a la carte) and there was no flexibility to adapt and add one more when there are two diners (understanding that 4 is not a lucky number for Chinese people however it divides easier by 2).

Everything was First class, from the moment we were greeted, to the bar staff and the servers. Everyone was extremely polite helpful and friendly. The food was absolutely outstanding. This is by far my favourite restaurant ever. Thank you

To begin with, 5 stars isn’t enough to express how amazing Hakkassan is. Hakkassan is one of the best fine dining experiences in Mayfair with a refreshing ambience. Whether you’re opting for a quick lunch, dinner with the girls or a celebratory dinner. The Hakkassan experience doesn’t begin when you sit down, it begins from the moment you approach their doors where you our greeted by a lovely door man. Next, you have the luxury of encountering the loveliest ladies that at the receptionist that ensure everything is ready for your booking.When you are seated, the waiters are so attentive and friendly. We were lucky to have Edgar as our waiter who added to our experience, so kind and helpful we laughed so much with him all evening.The food quality is superb and the cocktails are great. If you have the chance to try their crispy duck salad and their signature Hakka cocktail you’ll understand. I cannot wait to come back and see the Hakkassan family again, thank you for your superior service and exceptional staff.

First time to visit and dine in Hakkasan, simply great vibrant place with buzzing atmosphere. Staff were beyond friendly and professional. We were looked after by a young lady named ‘ MILENA’ such a great and lovely character, made our experience more fun with her friendly welcoming attitude. She had an excellent experience in customer service you could tell. She is definitely a great asset to the business.
