Plank & Leggit in Erewash

I’ve always heard how delicious the food was, had to come try it out for myself. The chips were hot and fresh I ordered wings and those too came out hot and fresh my boyfriend had the English breakfast and it was so good I started eating his food! I love the chill atmosphere too. I highly enjoyed my first experience here. I’ll definitely be back.

Greene king have got it right, great menus and offers to choose from at very reasonable prices. A clean and tidy pub / restaurant.

Had such a lovely visit yesterday, my daughter, myself and my dad visited the soft play. The lady I think Louise was her name was so lovely, she single handedly managed the soft play, took our order, cleaned tables and ensured all the children were okay. The food was hot and lovely and the soft play was clean and entertaining for my daughter. We will be back

Called in to use some vouchers we had for our birthday. What a waste partner had steak and ale pie he couldn't eat the pastry it was so hard .I had a turkey dinner the madh was so dry and Brussels were like rubber stuffing I could cut into although roasts and Turkey was nice .won't be ordering these too meals again.i rearly don't think we will go back .what a waste.

When you order food for 4 people and it turns up 5 minutes later, it's quite concerning ... barely warm and didn't taste very good

As a regular user I always find staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly, service is prompt and the food good and offering excellent value for money.

Third time here. First was dire , however we went back in an effort to change this. Tonight we tried again. Food was lovely , drinks were correct . Waitress was attentive to our autistic son. Brought him a toy car to play with and spoke with him . Overall a lovely visit and opinions have been changed. A fab pub and brilliant staff , with a great playspace . Thank you

Lovely visit , amazing food and friendly staff

Food wasn't what we expected. The mushroom pie was amazing only because it is NOT homemade.. The mashed potato looked like they had been scraped off another customer's plate.. The burger with steak was plated poorly as well. So maybe the price is cheaper than somewhere else but the food and the service are unacceptable... Never again!!

Was taken out today for a Mother’s Day meal and it was rubbish. Ordered Chicken New Yorker. Cold chips and 2 small pieces of chicken, very tough and undercooked garden peas. Would not recommend

Decent food good plateful and at reasonable prices.

Visited with family for an early Mother's Day. Service was great, in particular Kathleen, who made us all feel very welcome and looked after. Food was good, though I deducted 1 star due to a bad steak having to be sent back, but the replacement was good. Overall a pleasant meal and great service.

Called in at short notice with 8 mates on a busy Sunday. Kathleen seemed us immediately without hassle. Lovely meal .

Kathleen what a wonderful women! Arrived no tables free, swe went and sat in the main restaurant, she then came and found us 6 minutes later to tell us she had a table free. HAPPY children HAPPY mum! Thanks Kathleen, made to feel very welcome lovely lady.

Staff friendly and madecus welcome. Food was hot and delicious., served with a smile. The staff came back to check all was okay for us all. First appearances of establishment are a bit off putting, but inside you are made so welcome.

A group of 10 of us from 3 different households visited Plank & Leggit on Sunday 25/02/24 and 6 out of 10 of us have been so so poorly with sickness and diarrhoea. Adults and children. Really disappointing as it’s somewhere we have enjoyed taking the children before. We all had different meals so it makes you wonder if it’s hygiene problems in the kitchen or the food. We didn’t visit the soft play as it was full. We won’t ever be returning and advising anyone else to stay away unfortunately.

Cheap but not very appetising food

Absolutely brilliant food. Loved it.

I have been coming here as a childminder for a good few years now and Louise has a fantastic attitude to her job and loves the children. She always looks after us with food orders which are always amazing. I can’t comment on just one time we have visited as each time is as good as the last. Louise always goes above and beyond with her work and puts on some amazing party’s for Halloween and Christmas. Kathleen sometimes works in the wacky and she also has a great attitude with the children. We have been to other wacky’s in the past so I know the difference between staff who enjoy their job and those which don’t.

Me and my two year old love it here! Kathleen and the team are fabulous with the kids.

We came here as a big group for a meal over Christmas. Everything was going good until 2 of our meals were missed and they came and asked which ones we didnt recieve? Well surely you know as we've paid and the kitchen should have the receipt? Forgotten meals came all wrong after everyone had finished eating so we got a refund for one meal only. We then payed for all the kids to go into the play centre. Within 2 mins of entering 2 little girls were at reception reporting my 7yr old for swearing. Instead of coming to address me she went straight over to my son and told him off. I let her know that what she had done was biased as she stated she new these little girls and they were 'as good as gold'. I then asked my son what happened and he said the little Girl called him a T**T. I told the old lady to never tell my son off again or she would be dealing with me. Totally the wrong way to try and sort a problem with a customer you personally know and that's why I say they are biased. Used to come here as a kid but I defo won't be coming back.

Kathleen was very helpful. My eldest daughter had a toilet accident and she was very understanding, put our food on hold in the kitchen so it wouldn’t go stale while we went out sorted her out! So grateful!

Came in with a large group the other day, both the food and service were great! Joe was very helpful and pleasant

The staff in the children's play area are always amazing, polite and fun to the kids and always remember us and make us welcome. The same cannot be said for the management or some of the servers from the other side of the pub, rude and very uptight to their employees and even some customers, leaving food to go cold instead of jumping into help which they would expect of all staff. We only come back here for the usual staff we have in the child's play area.
