Awful experience! After seeing many Facebook posts we've decided to try this place and I couldn't regret more. My husband's burger was mediocre but edible whilst my burger was horrible and smelt like a cleaning product. The black bans they used for burgers have no taste whatsoever and are as hard as a rock. Team is swearing a lot and makes a really weird and uncomfortable atmosphere to the point that they needed to turn up the music volume. When ordering we have asked if burgers come with fries which a lady said yes and then when I got my bill we were charged for them separately. And BTW I gor my bill after I have paid which I shouldn't have done !! Lesson learned ! Worst spent £42 ever. I wouldn't recommend this place!

We visited this restaurant before we went across the road to the cinema. Our food was excellent, the service was warm, friendly & efficient. The menu was varied & interesting & the wine was excellent & moderately priced. We had a very enjoyable evening.

The staff had no idea about the menu, our order was constantly changed due to lack of stock, warm bottled beer and dirty glasses, poor service and we waited over an hour for our food. Food was very basic and not worth the money. Would not recommend.

Having visited once before before going to the cinema we (four of us) booked for an evening meal after a cinema showing. As before really lovely meal choices including vegetarian options for my wife. Lovely staff including the young lady who was training (she did really well and was a credit to the restaurant). Would really recommend this place especially if visiting the theatre or Filmhouse. Unfortunately it was very quiet (OK for us) but it would be great to see the restaurant receiving more visitors. Well worth a visit 😊😊

Visited after going to the cinema nearby. As it was early afternoon on a weekday, the place was very quiet - in fact, I was the only person in the restaurant! Ordered the duck breast and it was wonderful, cooked to perfection with plenty of vegetables alongside. Being the only customer meant a personal service, but I'm sure that it would be just as pleasant when they are busy. Definitely plan to return!

An excellent meal, food was gorgeous, really high quality and very tasty, good portion sizes and very well presented on the plate. For a reasonably small menu the choice was varied and some different dishes to try. The service was great and we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble., the seating area downstairs has a nice feel to it and it’s decorated in a fresh and modern style. Very reasonable priced too, definitely go back again.

First time eating here and I have to say we was blown away. The service was amazing. We was served by a lady, I didn't get her name and a gentleman named Matt. They were so lovely and made us feel very welcome. The food was a whole different level of amazingness. We wanted to eat her as the menu looked great but we was totally blown away by how much thought and care has gone into the food. We will definitely we coming back!

Food was outstanding, nice and warm environment. Basically I loved everything while sitting watching football and having a pint. The place was opened in pandemic, I strongly believe that place got talent what will lead them a huge name in coming future. Duck breast with passion fruit sauce was mind blowing.

A Memorable Meal with Room for Improvement Let’s start on a high note—because the food was definitely the star of the show. We spent over £100 and left feeling thoroughly satisfied, thanks to the authentic and delicious flavors. The standout dishes for us were the Kappa, Mussels, Sarbath, and beef—absolutely mouthwatering! However, a few things prevented this from being a truly flawless dining experience. Crab Roast and Fish Tawa Fry Disappointment Two dishes we were excited to try—crab roast and fish tawa fry—were unavailable. Nowhere on the menu did it mention that crab roast required pre-ordering, and the “availability board” didn’t give us a heads-up either. It was like going to a concert only to find out your favorite artist isn’t performing. The Curious Case of the Cold Appam Our appams arrived cold, and upon reordering, we were served what seemed suspiciously like a microwaved appam. While I can’t say for sure, it had that telltale texture of a dish that’s seen more reheats than a TV dinner. Toilet Troubles The facilities were, shall we say, lacking in hospitality. Neither the male nor female toilets had hot water or soap, which was disappointing. It’s hard to feel refreshed when you’re left scrubbing your hands in cold water like a medieval peasant. The Mystery of the Missing Fish Curry While reviewing the bill at home, we noticed we had been charged for a fish curry that never made it to the table. What’s more, the waiter had confirmed that all our items had been served. Perhaps the curry is still waiting patiently in the kitchen, wondering when it will get its moment to shine. The Unsung Hero A special shoutout to the sole waitress who managed to serve the entire restaurant on her own. She was brilliant—quick, efficient, and incredibly hard-working—but we couldn’t help feeling sorry that she didn’t have more support. No one should have to be a one-person army, especially during peak hours. Final Thoughts Overall, it was a good experience, and we truly enjoyed the food. However, there’s plenty of room for improvement in terms of communication, service, and basic amenities. None of this is directed at any individual, but we do hope the owners take this feedback on board. With a few adjustments, they could turn a good dining experience into an exceptional one. We’ll be back for the food—but next time, we’ll double-check about the crab roast and fish tawa fry! PS: We went there on 26/01/25.
