Pizzeria Gali in Basingstoke and Deane

We have recently moved to the area and whilst out on walk, discovered the sign for Pizzeria Gali. A week later, we dropped in for an early dinner after another walk around the neighbourhood. It was around 5pm/5:30pm and the majority of the tables were busy or had been reserved. We were lucky to get a table for two. We started with the chicken wings which I quote from my partner - "The best chicken wings he has ever tasted!". I'm not one for eating meat off a bone but I did try these and they were amazing, would definitely recommend! We shared a bottle of red wine which was also divine and ordered the Campana pizza and the Burratina which we shared and again, BLOOMING DELISH!! We have booked a table for tonight to take my partners mum and dad and we are very much looking forward to trying more of the menu!

Food, atmosphere and staff were brilliant. Delicious pizza with fresh vibrant ingredients, fluffy light dough, well cooked and well prepared. New chef is a real character full of beans and enthusiastically passionate about what he produces for his guests. Couldn’t recommend Pizzeria Gali more highly, home made chips, rocket and Parmesan salad as a side and chicken wings to start a must. Thanks for a wonderful meal

Best pizza in Basingstoke, fantastic fresh ingredients, beautiful industrial/rustic design, this pizzeria has it all. New pizza chef is amazingly talented. Highly recommend this place as you one stop pizza shop. “African Safari and Burratina “ best pizza choices, out of this world chicken wings and homemade chips. Can’t wait to return.

This used to be such a great pizza place. Yes the building was a little quirky but that was entirely made up for in the superb and authentic pizzas. Went dozens of times. It now appears to have been taken over, and the quality is so bad I wouldn't go back. Substituting bacon for prosciutto is very shady. Pizza bases are now stodgy. Toppings only marginally better than Dominos. Again, I suspect they are substituting cheaper ingredients. Also no idea why would would put video games and table football in a restaurant. The noise is awful.

What happened? The pizza here was amazing and now it is average. The dough is no longer light and airy. The whole pizza was salty. The chips were over cooked and a small amount.

I went here for a second time and it was so much better than the first time. I've got to say the Napoli is my new favourite pizza. I've never had Vesuvian tomatoes before and now I want them all the time. My new favourite tomato!

The chef and the owner are incredible, as well as the workers. The food was amazing, best pizza I have ever had. Had a great time. Very wonderful people and food

Fantastic Pizzas. Traditional wood fire pizzas and way better than your standard pizza chains. Definitely will be returning.

What a breath of fresh air this place is, in a world of chain restaurants with average food and average service, this restaurant shows how it should be done. The pizzas are fantastic, the service is great. They always give you a warm greeting on arrival,.clearly the owner sets the tone, he's great. And the food is awesome, fresh ingredients, proper authentic sourdough pizza. They have an open kitchen to you can see you food being prepared, grewtbfor kids and very family friendly. Can't wait to return and try their steak, the chicken wings are amazing too! Well done guys.

This is the 3rd time that I have eaten here. This time having the steak sharing platter for two - so much food, large steak, 2 portions of chips, 2 salads and the loveliest garlic bread pizza. Kids had a pizza each - pizzas are so tasty and we love the crust too! Friendly staff, never rushed. A great place to eat.

Best pizza outside of Italy! What a gem and the meat on the grill is also delicious!! so happy this has opened in basingstoke as it’s nice to have some authentic Italian food that isn’t a chain restaurant. We will back for sure.

We've become regular visitors since Pizzeria Gali opened and have never been let down. It's location, whilst a little unexpected...is just round the corner in our case, with acres of parking right outside the door. The restaurant has a cool industrial feel about it, with exposed services and lighting. The open kitchen has a traditional wood fired oven with logs ablaze. Super friendly staff and Chef. The pizzas are made from made dough and hand pulled to order. I believe the dough takes the chef three days to prepare, but it's worth it. Pizza's are served within seconds of leaving the oven and have a super thin base and light crust. Definitely the best Pizza I have had in years

I decided to give Pizzeria Gali a try last night after a few people were talking about it. Well I wasn't disappointed. The pizza had the most amazing dough and the toppings were quality. The chicken wings were cooked on a BBQ and the crispy skin was the best. So good! The service was exceptional, the team really made me feel welcome and were accommodating to my requests. The interior of the restaurant simple but tastefully done. Can't wait to visit again, this time we will eat in. I also had a beer while I waited which was very nice and very cold and the wait was no more than 5-10 minutes for my food. I would highly recommend Pizzeria Gali and we will be using this place as our go to pizza restaurant and takeout in Basingstoke. This is what Basingstoke has been waiting for!!!!

The pizza I had was amazing and the sides were just as delicious. This place is great for any night out!

I decided to order two pizzas to split with my husband, hoping for a quality pie with the right ratio of crust, sauce and toppings. Unfortunately, the thick, doughy crust was far too bready and overwhelmed the palate. Each dripping slice seemed saturated in oil, creating a mess with every bite. I even had grease stains down the front of my shirt by the meal's end. The wings provided a spicy and juicy bright spot, with their ample size making up for their heat. But the sides were lacking, with chips that erred on the side of salty rather than crispy and flavorful. The odd, crunchy pizza sauce didn't help matters either in the taste department. If you don't like heat aka #6 on The Hot Ones Challenge then I'd say give them a miss. While I appreciated the generous portions, the greasy slices and less than stellar sides have me less than eager to return any time soon. But for those who don't mind sacrificing quality and cleanliness for quantity, this spot may still satisfy your cravings.
