We ordered from Pizza World Basingstoke hoping for a simple, enjoyable meal. What we got instead was a two-hour saga of frustration and disappointment that would test even the patience of Gollum. After waiting well beyond the promised delivery time, we called to check on the status of our order. Each time, we were assured it would arrive in “6-7 minutes,” a promise as empty as Gollum’s soul. This happened multiple times. Eventually, the restaurant stopped answering the phone entirely, leaving us in the dark like Frodo lost in Shelob’s lair. When the pizza finally arrived, cold and underwhelming, it felt like the delivery driver had carried it all the way from Mordor. No apologies, no explanation—just a box of soggy disappointment to top off the already miserable experience. If you value your time (and your sanity), I’d advise steering clear. Waiting for this delivery was like listening to Gollum endlessly mutter about “my precious”—painful, infuriating, and ultimately pointless.

Just a takeaway asked for kebab wrap meal was given a bun with donner in it no salad or sauce provided so it was very dry

Ordered a delivery stated on just eat it’s been delivered but nothing has come to my door I have been all round the block of flats in winklebury and theirs nothing I have called 6 times and I just get forwarded to leave a message this is useless happens all the time which great service you have!!!!

Food never arrived. Called restaurant and was told we shut today then hung up on me. Extremely rude person spoke to me. If you are not open why was the opinion of ordering there. You took my money and refused to talk to me

order late 27 minutes. no garlic pizza and lamb instead of chicken. first and last time to order from this so called food business

Got there to collect my order was completely ignored by bout 6 staff then after waiting wen it said ready to collect I got it home witch takes me 5 min and food was stone cold no salad like I ordered barely any cheese on chips kofta over cooked and burnt pitta half burnt and half not cooked This is absolutely terrible

Ordered food told 30 to 45 minutes turned up after 1 and half hours cold never ordering again. And don't be fooled charcoal grill is also linked with pizza world. They don't mind taking your money and delivering cold food

The bacon is not normal bacon, but it is something weird, the same as a ham. I think it was a hallal, so not the normal pork one. Also the crust was slightly unbaked. Wouldn’t really recommend

After spending £42 . 2 hours late for delivery. food was cold rang 2 times 3rd time didn't answer.please everyone avoid this place seriously.....

They don't deserve any stars but I can't post. Without adding stars. Absolutely dreadful, ordered via Uber. Food arrived dripping in grease, tiny chunks of tasteless chicken & the lamb done was like leather. Disgusting.... AVOID

Awful food, order took over 2 hours longer than advertised expected delivery time, when it finally arrived the pizzas were cold. We tried to reheat them which made them tough and we ended throwing them away. Won't be ordering again!

Missing the 2 cheesy chips. Called the restaurant and they said I’d have to wait 45 minutes for them to send some. Agreed but here we are and hour and 10 minutes later and no chips. They did offer something free next time but it’s not the point. Paid for something we didn’t get.

Delivery driver wouldn't deliver to our front door. i'd be more understanding I didn't have health conditions that make going to collect my food difficult. Fortunately was delivered very fast, but this is probably something your drivers need to be made aware of.

This is my go to pizza place in Basingstoke and a decent price too. Would recommend thin base and ask to have a bbq sauce base. Only issue I had was that I got the wrong pizza, but called them up and they replaced it. Pro tip - Do not order through just eat or uber eats. Pizza world have their own website and these are the best prices and offers. Makes things easier also if things go wrong

Order was delivered late. The kebab was scraps of meat, scraped from the bottom of the pan and it was cold. The pitta was stale, inedible and shattered into pieces when you tried to open it. The chips and chip packaging was damaged and the chips were cold. Hands down the worst order I’ve ever had on just eat.

Ordered at around 8.30 for it to arrive nearly 2 hours later stone cold. Cheesy chips were welded to the box and had to call 3 times only to be fobbed off each time. Won’t bother with this place anymore. They’re rude on the phone too.

Just had the best kebab delivery from pizza world. Me and my boyfriend ordered lamb and chicken kebab meal and are very impressed with quality, value and delivery time.

Good pizza but delivered cold and not for the first time. There was a 25 minute gap between saying its on its way and getting to me. I live 5 minutes away. Maybe they need a better delivery service.

Beware. Ordered on Uber Eats, delivery time continually pushed back until I eventually called to be told they were never coming despite having taken the money. When asked what he had done to tell me this he said nothing. I have therefore been charged for food which this company had no intention of bringing and no money refunded. Do not order from here either directly or via a third party. You will regret it.

Absolutely awful!! First off, when delivered the food was on its side. Grease everywhere- all in the bag, over can of coke etc… whatever it was in the container, was over cooked to the point it could have been classed as coal! Chicken was over cooked, very chewy. Would not recommend at all!

Over 2hrs late. Their excuse was that the driver had gone to the wrong address. Only once I called the shop. The expected delivery time change twice and I requested money back and the restaurant rejected the request.

Basingstoke: Ordered for delivery 3x 1/4 lb Burgers with cheese. There was no cheese on the burgers. There was no beef in the burgers. These are for vegans. Flat and dry tasteless patties. Also, Ordered Mayo with the chips. No mayo received. Never this joint again.

30 pound I spent for a delivery that took 1hr 30 min I never use just eat normally uber and this pizza shop normally is always late the food was no satisfactory rubbery cooked an hour ago awaiting delivery just eat you need to sort your lives out and stop giving business like these that can not provide a quality food service or even a delivery on you platform because all you will do is loose customers

Order was 40mins late and more than one item was missing from the order unfortunately. Contacted the restaurant 3 times and they were not overly helpful either.

Terrible! Never ever order food. Don't pay online, pay cash on delivery. Pathetic service. Ordered food @7.45, followed up @8.30 was told driver on the way. Again followed up at 8.55, was told 5 mins driver would be there. In the meantime read reviews and realized how pathetic it is. finally had to cancel the order. Driver came for delivery @9.45, glad we hadn't paid online, was able to refuse delivery. Please don't ever go anywhere near it.

One of the worst places I have ever come across, if not THE worst. I waited 2 hours for my order, and in the end it didn’t even get delivered. Every time I called they said it’s on the way, driver 5 mins away. I had to request Uber eats to give my money back because I didn’t get anything. Absolute joke of a takeaway

Driver turned up with no change, even though I said cash - £23.83 no changed was given to him, I don’t know why no change was given as I clearly wouldn’t have had the 3p. Ordered a farmhouse pizza, a portion of chips & 2 redbulls. Arrived nearly an hour late, STONE cold. Once I opened the bags I realised I had been given a single bottle of coke instead of the redbulls & the pizza was plain except for some pieces of PINEAPPLE thrown on! I mean seriously, how can they get it so wrong?!? The chips were OK though.

Wrong order, wanted LARGE doner side of fries & Hot wings. Got SMALL meat n chips ..chips were soggy and cold. Hot wings were so dry and overcooked they went in the bin, clad was limp browned lettuce with white cabbage n onion ,,,,,thats no salad ....would avoid.
