Had a hankering for a good doner kebab so thought I would treat myself had a lamb doner it was delicious exceeded my expectations and a lot of meat really good value for money

Have had plenty of kebabs from here . Generous portions and delicious . I also tried the caramel cheesecake for dessert which was lovely Delivery service is also excellent and always on time

Big range of choice for pizza, something for everyone. Enjoyed by kids and us adults. Came back to try the kebabs, also great

We are here on holiday from Manchester, my son wanted a decent pizza as the restaurant on site does terrible pizza , we went into Dawlish and found this place. We order a pizza deal and kebab for 2, the food was amazing and great value for money ,feed 4 people for £33. Also they said they would of delivered to the campsite we were staying at. If we are every back in Dawlish we would definitely go back.

We waited 1hour and 20mins for cheesy chips and 2cokes ridiculous and we are only 2miles away

After using them regularly, I won’t be anymore. After waiting 2hrs for our food, which had been updated to ‘out for delivery’ we contacted them to be told our order had been missed and they can redo it and it will take 20 minutes. No offer of a discount or anything extra as an apology. Cancelled order and refund will take 2-3 working days. Very disappointed.

Been a customer for many years, ordered a doner wrap with chips and the doner was literally 3 strands of meat, phoned up to complain and basically said they don’t care, last time I use them and this isn’t the first time I’ve had problems before they always sorted it out

Great pizzas and really good service.

Pizza was fantastic as was the chips, chicken shish was cooked to perfection but would of liked more salad, now for the best bit THE PRICES wow its cheap like stupidly cheap and the quality is incredible, I'm only here for the week on holiday and fear if I was a local I'd Benin there every night 🐳

Chips were nice, Kebabs a let down. Was already carved off spit, then just chucked meat on griddle to warm up, making it tough as shoe insoles. Never again.

Our food took over an hour to come . The chips which were cold only a very small portion for two people. The pizza hardly warm. Not very nice ! Overall terrible. And I gave three pound tip. First and last time I will order from them

Unless happy to dine on cold, dry and slightly stale kebabs, I would stay away. This has to be the worst mixed kebab I have ever had. Is my first and last visit. Some may say it could have been a bad day, however if they are happy to send this feeble excuse for “food” out, then they obviously have no standards.

I was very disappointed with our order tonight Friday 13th October we waited 1 1/2 hours and it was cold we have always had good meals. I called and was told 9n way however waited another 30mins..

Very slow service, due to a very busy Saturday night. Kebab was ok, quite small for a large, not particularly flavorful.

Poor hygiene and food. The assistant had his hand all over his nose whilst serving. The food was overcooked and poor. I wish I hadn’t visited, especially after starting with a cold virus the following day!

Terrible I asked for a Shish kebab I got chicken that was rubbery and no sign of skewers the salad was bland few bits cucumber tomato onion no coleslaw it was terrible

Bought twice in shop, awful food, third chance, online, drink missing, had to phone, still waiting... don't bother with them, dreadful food, bad service all round, walk past! Double cheese burger? Tasteless hard lumps of meat with yellow slimey stuff, presumably cheese, in stale bun, no sauce as requested, raw onion lumps ,limp old lettuce bleccch never again, surly unpleasant delivery, despite a £1 tip

Myself and my partner Purchase a pizza Saturday 20th and the pizza was awful and cheap tasting we will not be using you again.

Ordered Kebab to work place, arrived on time and hot, very tasty....my place to go for food on a night shift.

Partner purchased large mixed kebab and pizza , terrible pathetic excuse of salad , and meat with more naan than actual kebab , 4 half slices of cucumber and 3 slices of tomato and completely forgot to add coleslaw. Pizza ordered with bbq base but no base at all just ham mushroom and cheese, best part about it was the delivery was quick , sorry but not good value for money and won’t be returning

20 or so men staying in Ashcombe on a stag do, in Nut Tree Farm, middle of no where trying to find something to eat. The app for here didn’t work as we believe we had put to much on there and the bill was at £235. Had to ring them up and I wish I had taken her name but spoke to the most amazing lady who took my order really well. Considering how much we ordered their pizzas were amazing and they got every order correct. Well done guys great service and brilliant food l, thank you again.

New to the area so this was our first takeaway from Dawlish. 6 months later we still order from them. We tried the pizza which was alright, the jalapeño nuggets are just like the ones from Burger King 👌🏻. My partner loves the cream cheese poppers. Our go to is the chicken shish with chips and it never lets us down. Chicken is DELICIOUS. Plus it's under a tenner each for our takeaway night. Things we did NOT like at all were chicken burger, lamb shish. We live close so delivery for us is about 15-30mins max. I recommend the chicken shish and jalapeño nuggets and will continue to order.

Good food, cooked quickly and as ordered. Never had a bad meal from here.

Always good food and reliable delivery

It takes me a lot to say this however, Me and my partner and friend (who are all local) ((owners need to take notice for winter months)), visited this takeaway recently and we bought individual meals, however, nothing good to say I'm afraid, food was utter sh^^^^, we got kebabs, however finding any meet was like looking for a needle covered in garlic sauce. Most of the food ended up in the bin, this place used to be good however been now really poor. Anyone reading should really think about going to another establishment, (the one down by the river) obs can't mention names, but it's the one with the queue outside.

11th July 22 (Getting take away tonight myself) They also deliver to the Front Door. I am having a Large Doner in a Nan type bread tonight. See pic's

After 6 years of being a loyal and regular customer of where I never had complaints and always had good service I recieved what I believe was food poisoning after vomiting my food back up hours after I had eaten my order. I contacted them back the following day and they believe food poisoning takes days to happen and threw sarcastic comments at me and said if I'm ill call the doctors not them.. I will no longer be ordering from here due to the response I had but manners cost nothing

Lovely menu options. Food was hot and freshly cooked. Staff were friendly. We ordered and paid online, we collected and food was ready at the promised time.

I have been ordering from this place for the last 3 years since I moved to Dawlish with no problems. Ordered tonight for 6pm as was about to jump in the shower. Delivery turned up 50 minutes early. Rejected it as was was far to early. Phoned and spoke to manager who said take it now or not at all. I said not at all and have ordered elsewhere

Tonight i orderd 3 pizzas and a burger with some sides, all 3 pizzas were moldy cold and undercooked when we called for a refund they said it would be 15 minutes we called at 8 my refund didnt arrive till 11.50 after getting a bunch of abuse from the staff i will never be ordering from their again the food is absolutely intoxicating

Since moving to Dawlish we've had two takeaways (one Indian, one fish and chips). The forst was a little underwhelming but okay, the second was poor. After a busy day, we decided to have a quick kebab, and I have to say the quality of the food was excellent. Nice kebab meat, salad was fresh, hot chilli sauce was ... hot, and the naan bread it came in was lovely. Coming originally from London, I've never been short of good quality kebab shops near to home, but Pizza Palos, if it continues to deliver food like this, might become a favourite!

Food was late and cold for the 3rd time in a row! The only reason they got a 2nd and 3rd chance was due to the lack of food delivery in this area....but they won’t be getting a chance to disappoint a 4th time.

Ordered using just eat, it took a while to arrive and the pizza's were dry. At least the onion rings we ordered as a side were good.

The best kebab shop in the area, the kids loved their pizzas. Very good customer service and fast delivery times. Keep up the good work.

Found hair in my garlic dip, so not to impressed, did offer new dip, but didn't want take a chance

Ordered from here last night after a local recommend the take away. Already thought the prices was expensive while placing order. But hoped maybe the food would be fantastic. Food took an hour and a half to be delivered. Was half an hour late and was stone cold. My advice if you enjoy over priced cold pizza then use this take away. If not avoid.

Food was late, when I called the food was ready but waiting for a driver, called 15 minutes later and the food had been out for delivery for 15 minutes, so naturally, half an hour later, the food was cold. The order was wrong, there was chilli sauce all over everything and I had a hair in my wrap. Not happy, at all.

Excellent pizza and excellent service

Usually pizza palos are great but recently their service has gotten a lot worse. Yesterday I ordered some food with them and it was nearly an hour late. I phoned them up twice and they hung up on me as soon as I asked for an update on my order. When the food eventually arrived it was stone cold. In the past they have giving us the wrong food; have struggled to find us; and their pizza has given us a very upset stomach in the past. Beyond a joke. Would not recommend for the price you are forking out, and to be honest I should have stopped going there a long time ago

Pizza lacks cheese and base and bland, chips under done, chilli sauce was foul just spice with no taste, shop looked clean. But overall for the price was a extremely poor takeaway

Me and my partner came here as we fancied a kebab, we both had a mixed meat kebab, I had chips instead. It was okay, I’ve had better. The chips were not great, and my partner didn’t like the pitta beard, It wasn’t a plain one. We both had upset stomachs the following day so unfortunately we won’t return.

Had a delivery tonight - chips and burgers were both stone cold (and chips were very chewy?) not one to complain normally and have had a few good meals from here in the past so just called to say it was a little disappointing to basically be told I was lying because it couldn't have been cold because they weren't even busy. The lady actually apologised for the response the "owner" had given her as she seemed so embarrassed. Food thermometer says chips are 29°C and the burger was just above - Completely inedible and customer service is diabolical. After reading other reviews it seems this isn't the first time. Just an apology would have suffice, we didn't actually even request anything for free! Shocking.

Rude, rude, rude!!!! I note on other reviews that the manager says he takes great pride in customer service. Well he definately needs to extend this to his staff who seriously need to learn some manners or at least how to offer a very simple apology. This place has such bad customer service. Rang through an order for delivery and was told there was a 1 hour wait so decided to collect instead. Was advised to collect in 15 minutes. Arrived at takeaway 15 minutes later and was told I needed to wait!! Surely the idea of being given a time to collect is the time you turn up? When I questioned why I had to wait I had a single word response "busy" I replied saying I realised they were busy but why give a collection time and then arrive to collect and have to wait a further 15/20 mins. Second reply was "we are busy" so after sitting and waiting I was then told my order was now ready. The rude server took my money then put the change on top of the counter at the other end? I said can I have my change passed to me please as I wasn't being served at that far end of the counter so he slid it along via another colleague. Left telling him how rude he was. Wont go again.

Normally id give 10 stars every time as pizza palos has always been the best in dawlish and order frequently from them. Tonight tho was very dissapointing not only have they changed the chips theyve also changed the popcorn chicken to southern fried, which taste tacky compared to the original ones used. Really dissapointed g

We've had a number of items off the menu, always very tasty, chilli sauce is stunning......ooooohhhh and hot lol. Garlic sauce is very good too whether on pizzas or kebabs. Staff are really really nice too, very pleasant

Ordered a couple of kebabs with sauce and got a couple of trays of sauce with a little bit of kebab and stone cold chips! Warning they have no idea what a little bit of sauce means.

Awful! Kebab was disgusting and the childs kids burger was rock hard, fries inedible. So disappointed and not cheap either.

Sadly a little disappointed with the service this evening. Been going to Pizza Palos for years as its the best Pizza takeaway in Dawlish and have never had a problem. But this evening sadly let down. Even though the Pizza turned up on time the delivery man sadly drove of as i opened the door. Unfourtunity my door bell has stopped working and even though I heard a knock on the door by the time i answered the driver had drove away. After phoning Pizza Palos to explain the situation to which they said they would call the driver I had to then wait a further 35min for my delivery to arrive. An hour and a half after I made the order. To which at that point the Pizza I had ordered was cold. Saldy I didn't even get a apology of the driver either. Apart form this disappointment still the best Pizza takeaway in Dawlish and will still recommend.

I don't like writing bad reviews but just have to warm other customers how Pizza Palos treat customers with a complaint. I ordered a Pizza & Garlic Mushrooms for collection, very fast service as I picked it up 15 minutes after placing the order. Unfortunately when I got home the Pizza was undercooked, so after phoning Pizza Palos to let them know, I took the Pizza & Garlic Mushrooms back. My plan was for them to cook it properly & reheat the Garlic Mushrooms, but they were so offhand I decided it would be best to just have a refund. I asked for a full refund as I didn't want (now cold) Garlic Mushrooms, but the Manager refused point blank to refund the Garlic Mushrooms, a small amount of money I know, but I was rather disgusted at not being able to have a full refund due to the fact that they hadn't cooked the Pizza properly. I can't remember coming across such an awful service & will not be ordering any Pizza's or Garlic Mushrooms from them again! So, pizza lovers, bear in mind their awful customer service when you decide to get a Pizza from Pizza Palos!

Always lovely but sometimes a large doesn't same large

Collected food from here the other day and was lovely, sadly the next time we ordered for delivery and it was 10 minutes short of 2 hours before it arrived. Tried ringing several times but constantly engaged, was about to go to the shop when it finally turned up. Pizzas were ok but not as nice as previously, given you supply a phone number when ordering a simple phone call or text to say delivery was running late (as I've had from other takeaways) would've helped greatly. I'm sure I just caught them on a bad day/very busy night but could've been handled better, overall it seems to be a good place and we were probably a bit unlucky.

These are my favourite pizzas ever! I highly recommend going :). I ordered through just eat and you can choose and sauce for the base and add different toppings so you don't just have the options on the website, and the fries are really good
