Being a retired Chef I’m always dubious about eating out . But Omg what a wonderful experience this was the food is so tasty ,I really enjoyed everything ,and I certainly would recommend this place . Well done to you all The restaurant is beautifully laid out it’s very clean ,and the staff are very helpful and friendly I was very impressed . Whether your wearing jeans or a suit makes no difference you are all treated the same . Try it you won’t be disappointed go for the Tuesday Buffet it was fantastic .

What a great place! Affordable, quick service, and really tasty food. Really nice people running the place as well. I will definitely go here again.

We spent 75 pounds on alot of food, and when it arrived it was flavourless not the taste experience we expected as the chicken tikka just tasted of tomato sauce, the veggie dansak had no lentils and the flavours was over spiced. The lamb rogan was flavourless and bland. The pilau rice was just a normal rice. And after spending 75 pounds you expect maybe a few poppadoms thrown in. Nope. The 9 pound mixed grill contained 2 pieces of chicken 2 pieces of lamb and one kofta, and the lamb was tough and dry, for 9 pounds! One good experience from this take away was the pashwari naan. So 75 quid for 2 nice naan breads and a ton of almost inedible food. I expect contact from the restaurant and I will happily come in to discuss the poor experience. With the left over food. Its a shame as I love to eat in at naz but perhaps I won't be doing that anymore either.

Are go to restaurant wasn't available so tried this place. Food arrived later than estimated time given. Food was barely warm, 0 taste to it! An asda £5 ready meal, tastes better than this junk hands down! Wont be using again.

Buffet Tuesday night £15 extra value

Nice food, but bit too much unexpected spice experienced by a few of us. Prices charged don't match the menu so beware of that. Expect to add on a few quid to menu prices. That was the main negative. Place itself and location ok. Plenty of competition around in the same street so won't bother going back

Naz's food was incredible!! I wish I had a second stomach so I could have eaten more. The only thing that threw me is that I felt a bit watched by the staff everytime I looked I was being stared at... But others than that I recommend this place 100%

Was able yo get table without a booking on Friday 29th Dec but was a bit disappointed to hear that not long after we arrived they denied 3 people 2 with guide dogs a table when the restaurant only had 3 tables occupied and still plenty of room when we left, food was excellent and service was of a high standard

We are new to Newton Abbot and have just started trying local restaurants. Very enjoyable meal in relaxed surroundings. Staff very attentive, food excellent. Would definitely recommend and will come here again.

The reason for three stars. I could not believe my eyes or ears when people with 2 guide dogs were told that the restaurant was fully booked. The restaurant was over half empty. Apart from that the food was great and staff friendly

The buffet here is superb and the staff very amenable, but you should be aware that a child is ONLY up to 8 and the poppadoms and sides are very expensive.

Came here last night for the all you can eat buffet with the missus.. Nice clean place but tables are too crammed next to other tables.. The starters was very good plenty to choose from.. More starters though than main curries.. The Rice wasn't that great.. The 2 or 3 curries there was to choose from was very bland and tasteless.. One of the waiters was rude and didn't seem like he even wanted to do his shift.. Very arrogant.. Don't think I'll return and try again.. Not worth the money.. Very Average and I'd give 7 out of 10.

Honestly, first time coming here and I must say, one of the best experiences I had in a restaurant, prices are great for the amount of food served + the quality and taste of food is so spot on too. The staff are incredibly friendly and they were ever so helpful especially when it came to my partner being vegan, they assisted and told us what is and isn't vegan when ordering so thank you for that. The whole experience was amazing, definitely coming back again.

The food is really expensive, there was no atmosphere and the service was terrible. I would not recommend.

Been here a couple of times in October. Big banner on the steps near the door saying its an all you can eat buffet night on Tuesdays. No price shown but its £14.95 Clean and tidy place, toilets are upstairs but the stairs are quite wide and not steep . You are also offered a naan of your choice when you are ready to eat, I had a cheese one. Suggest you decline the offer of poppadoms/chutneys ( which are extra ) as you dont want to be too full ! Quite an impressive display is put on for customers. All dishes are in large steel containers with roll back lids with heaters underneath. I had the lamb dish, small pieces of tender lamb in a rich sauce with hard boiled eggs in the mix. Very tasty. Plenty of other choices but no really hot/spicy dishes. More limited choice for vegetarians I would say but you should be OK. You go up and serve yourself and go back with the same plate as often as you wish. So I would recommend Tuesday nights but you need to be hungry so I suggest you skip lunch that day !

Five of us had the all you can eat buffet.. disappointed with the small selection.. no Samosas.. poppadoms extra .. 1 nann between 2. No starter's except onion bhaji..plain boring rice .. pretty poor selection all round really ... I'd never recommend the buffet.. nice place tho

Ideal restaurant for authentic Indian meals offering value for money. Our group table of 20 people had all our meals ready prepared and dished out at the same time with no mistakes or fuss. Worth a visit if you enjoy curry.

When this place first opened I had a couple of really nice meals from here. I have since ordered a couple of times off Uber eats more recently. The first time the food was cold which I gave them the benefit of the doubt for given the fact I'd already had decent meals from there in the past. The second time the food was again cold and the chicken was still pink in the middle, I complained on Uber eats and they haven't even bothered to respond to me. Unfortunately I will never order from here again. The staff on the phone are quite rude as well.

We visited as a family of 4 adults. Food was lovely. Large portions and tasty. The cocktails were great. I had a mojito which was really fresh 👍 The restaurant is modern and had a nice atmosphere. Would recommend.

Went on a Thursday evening and apart from a large table we were the only ones in there. 3 of our 4 meals were very good, the prawns in one dish were overcooked, service was excellent.

This was our first visit to this restaurant (party of 7 adults) which had a good range of dishes including the usual Korma, Rogan josh etc. I tried a lamb sag (spinach based sauce) which was delicious and freshly made. It was the best Indian food I have had for a long time and would happily return when in the area.

The food was delicious & so well presented, service was exceptional.

A great early week treat, Hana and her chef husband Amad cooked up a treat. Lamb Gost and my Tilapia was so delicious. We went crazy and had 2 courses and it was well worth it for the pistachio ice cream. We will be back.

A regular haunt whilst in Newton Abbot. Food always spot on and never fails, tried the other but once you’ve found a good one stick to it.

Popped in for a holiday treat & both glad we did, food was amazing with no faults whatsoever, very highly recommended & will definitely be returning soon 👍👍👍

Great friendly service from Maham and Mike ( although chocolates were tight?) lol ……keep the food and drinks following all food arrived fresh and hot ….just how I like it flavours to die for and tender prices of meats…so very highly recommended

Haven had many curry's in lots of restaurants, The Naz ranks among the best for both the quality of service and food.

We decided to try Naz as a recommendation from family but have been very disappointed. Originally told they didn’t have the booking for our table of 5, despite confirming it 2 hours before. We were promptly sat and drinks and poppadom orders were taken and were bought to the table quickly. 1hour after we were seated they finally came over to take our food order. A further 45 minutes later our food came out and was shoved on the table in front of us. Then came our naan breads with a comment from the waiter stating that he was in a rush and he was busy. Finally they started to clear our plates of the people in the party who had finished their food whilst others were still eating. Given they had taken 1hour 45 mins to serve us our food, I felt that this was then putting a huge rush on us. Overall we have not been impressed at all with the service provided and the food was only mediocre yet expensive.

Shocked by bar manager/ waitress attitude and aggressive behaviour. We were told off for leaving some food ( some rice and sauce and a crust of naan) we were happy to pay the £3 surcharge but to be shouted at in front of other customers was unforgivable. Won't be back and customer service needs to be looked at for sure.

Had a nice meal here food tasted good. Unfortunately that night I was extremely ill. I called a few days after the food poisoning to try and request my money back for the manager to tell me my body is not suited for Indian food. I told him this wasn't very good customer service and his response was well your a bad customer.. and then he hung up. I would have to say I won't be dinning with you again and for anyone reading pay a little more and go to the Indian over the road.

Take away. Tasteless madras with no chilli heat whatsoever, disappointing. Murug Makhani also very underwhelming, dhal waterway and runny with little evidence of any lentils. Aloo Gobi with tough cauliflower stalk that was inedible. The worst Indian meal that I have ever experienced

It seems I am not the first to complain that my take-away was cold. Then to be told it was not cold, as all food is checked before it leaves the premises is highly unlikely. The person on the phone was rude, and could not have cared less, and I thought businesses were having it tough! Naz will not be getting my custom ever again. Good manners would have gone a long way to dealing with this situation. No apology was forthcoming. One star in order that I can post this, otherwise none.

Beautiful venue and polite staff make this restaurant a fair stop. Sadly, they got our order wrong and the curry itself was underwhelming.

Can’t remember the day, mid week from memory. Not far from Newton Abbott railway station. If you’re staying at Newton Abbott Premier Inn then this is the train station for the Devon Riviera. Otherwise get an all day bus ticket for a fiver!

Poor location on the table position in an empty restaurant the hospitality and helpfulness of the staff was unacommodating, felt out of place ,unfriendly. Food was average...

Went for buffet evening with my friends. And I was just amazed! Beautiful Interior, spotless and clean. Nice linen table cloth and napkins. , the service was very friendly and efficient. And food...wau!!!! What a delight. Very tasty, full of flavours and just fresh. Not oily and bland like some other Indian restaurants in area. Very good price too. On top of it selection of Indian beers and soft drinks. I would definitely recommend either take away and definitely for dine in!!! Wont be disappointed. I ll be back again!!!

Bring from the West Midlands, it’s difficult to find an authentic ‘brumy’ balti, in Devon, but Naz doesn’t disappoint, Really tasty, good potions and quality ingredients. My partner’s favourite place for a chicken tikka too! Much cheaper if you order from their own website, so save a couple a quid Deliveroo would have pocketed. Eat in the restaurant often too which has always been enjoyable.

We had a takeaway last night , our first from this Indian restaurant. Great food, very good ordering service by phone, pleasant and courteous delivery driver and good value for money, even with the £5 delivery charge. It was a nice surprise to get 2...

Tried the buffet on a Tues after already trying the menu before.... Great value and lovely food.... we tried dishes that we had not had before....it was all stunning....staff very friendly.

We went as a couple last Tuesday for the buffet night, 12.95 each cobra, 4 95 coke 3 95.good value for money, korai lamb was may favourite. Arrived 7.25 sat at table after 5 mins wait. Waiter said if you could just wait a few mins there's more fresh curries coming out soon. Peter chatted to us at the end, all staff friendly and helpful. Pretty busy but calm. Thankyou I will return.

Absolutely disgusting customer service, delivery for the first time and food was cold. Phoned up to complain and got a response of (our food is always cooked and hot) and how can I prove this.. after reading other reviews of the same I am so disappointed that I spent £29 on this place. RICON the staff member should be ashamed of himself representing the business as he was rude and abruptive and offered nothing but defensive statements and then accused me of making up that the food was cold. Avoid avoid avoid!! If I could give no stars I would have done!

After ordering 2x chicken dishes last night and waiting an hour and a half for them - we tucked in to a lukewarm meal. Disappointed and dissatisfied is an understatement. After making several calls to both 3rd party payment and Naz themselves, we got nowhere....

We have continued to chase both parties this evening and have been basically told by Naz that their food is always hot as it is cooked fresh! A very poor response to say the least - the fact that they don’t care means they don’t capture repeat business! You can see why their takeaway service is failing miserably… We normally use Eastern Eye or Gurkha Chef and will continue to do so going forward…. I suggest you all do the same.

Ordered a takeaway and drove 8 miles to get it, got home after another 8 miles for our curry to be the complete wrong curry. Family can’t eat spice so not able to eat, given the option to drive another 16 mile trip to get...

Faultless professional restaurant very welcoming staff. Excellent menu choices and food is excellent. Service can't be faulted even at busy times. One of our regular places, never disappointed

A very pleasant evening out with a group of friends, the staff are very welcoming and efficient and the buffet extensive whilst also being hot and very tasty.

Pretty average food now so assume new owners. Had a booking for 7 o’clock turned up and told to wait in take away seats for 20 minutes until seated. No apology and plenty of free tables available when we turned up. The woman working there didn’t seem bothered.

One of my favourite Indian restaurants and great for a Friday night treat for Mum. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent, especially the Chicken Tikka Ceylon.

Just had a takeaway delivered for £78. It took 2hrs from order and turn up cold and wet from the rain, delivered by motorcycle. We rang to make complaint and was offered a £10 discount which we thought was disrespectful. We will not be ordering from Naz again. Could not eat it. I will be having some rich tea biscuits and tea instead.

Food was lovely, but the buffet is limited. The buffet is an absolute no go if you are a vegetarian, simply nothing for you. The staff were rude and very unwelcoming, we felt like we shouldn't be there and for that reason we would not return...

I ordered a meal for my sons birthday meal. Repeated the order twice, whilst the man taking the call took another call midway through. I called to ask and was told i was lying and trying to black mail them. A very upset 8 year...

Shocking delivery service. Waited 1 hour 45 minutes for a delivery to Kingskerswell. Food had to be reheated . The poppadums were in crumbs as they had been placed at the bottom of the bag. Half the pickle condiments were missing , most if the food cold so had to be re-heated. £60 for a pile if s*** . Will never use again . One delivery driver taking about 5 different orders around on a moped. IDIOTIC .Not the delivery persons fault, they were only trying to do their job. If you can’t fulfil a decent delivery time , then don’t take the order….. simple. They did return with a bag of new poppadums , pickle tray and 2 bahjis about 45 minutes later . We had already eaten our reheated food by then .

Been three times now. Twice with friends once with family. Menu food is good but wasn't too keen with buffet but don't let this put you off. It's personal taste. Staff always attentive and friendly. I will go again.

From the moment I come in here I was welcomed with a menu, and tbh the staff are actual legends. Especially Assad he’s cool, professional. Knows what is going on. This place is better than others. 100% review.
