Pizza Hut in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

The restaurant was understaffed and therefore the service was very slow. Our starter had been ordered some 20 minutes before we were told what we had ordered was not available. The was a mistake in the ordering and a child’s pizza was missed, it took over 30 minutes for the child’s pizza to come out. A coffee was served stone cold ( it was supposed to be a hot coffee). The food was over priced and poor quality. I would not choose to go back.

Food was bland, lukewarm and almost tasted stale. Salad bar looked like it had been there for weeks with most items ran out Staff need some more training on customer service Cost me over £60 to feed myself, the wife and our 5 year old.

My daughter and I have visited twice here in the last month. We love local and try to avoid chains and support local.. that being said we really enjoyed our pizza here so visited again this weekend gone. The meal deals are really good value. The older kids for £9 is ok.. but the pizza is non-existent. Literally 4 bites. My daughter is within the recommended age range and it says up to 12 year olds. The portion size on that needs to be improved. That being side, in my adult meal deal my daughter had my side as I couldnt eat my salad, pizza, side and pudding. Boxes are available to take away pizza by the way. I don’t like how you have to scan a code, order on your phone and pay that way. I appreciate there are a few that ruin it for others by leaving without paying. I have no issue paying upfront. What i don’t like is the lack of service so to speak. It feels too DIY. When i go to a restaurant you expect to be ‘served’ and waited on. Someone taking your order at the table. When you place your order on your phone it is easy enough - but it asks you to leave a tip when you order/pay. I’m not prepared to do this as i’m doing the ‘serving’ After ordering and helping ourselves to salad we had to ask for glasses to get our drinks. After eating we had to ask for desserts we ordered. So while we love the food the whole customer experience of being waited on in a restaurant has gone. So I wouldnt be happy to tip especially on arrival. Perhaps the option of ordering with the server and paying straight away rather than having to do it on a mobile. You cannot pay with cash here which is explained on arrival as well as being directed to a screen to enter number plate if you use the car park

We had a fun time eating pizza. The staff are amazing and hugely helpful. The food is always yummy. I want to give a special shout out to Becky, Leona, Nicola, Caitlin and James who served us today. Fantastic team who worked hard to serve all who came to eat. Thanks Guys.

Came here for lunch mid week and it was surprisingly busy. Service was still fast and the food was very good. We couldn’t fault it and would definitely go back again

Awful. Do not go to this restaurant at all, clearly not enough staff, the restaurant was absolutely filthy. The food standard is disgusting. I will be contacting management today and escalating my complaint further as three out of four of us are now severely ill with food poisoning. Stay away from the chicken!

Had the lunchtime buffet. Decent selection of pizzas and salad. Had the ice cream factory - which was okay but clearly no one had cleaned the syrup bottles for quite a while (very sticky). All orders by app, which asks for tip before the meal (would be better if, like Uber, they asked afterwards…). Far fewer staff than a few years ago. Toilets were quite smelly…

The Table was booked for 8 and not ready when we arrived they cleaned it and left meat sauce salt and very sticky was told sorry lots of kids in last group 😳 So not cleaned ?? Only Vegan mayonnaise available not std mayo 4 large pizza ordered and all quite brown not quite burnt and very tough dough my guess is pre made base and stored in fridge not great and when staff told of experience they just said it’s time of year Really 🤔 No passion or pride anymore used to be good food and service

First time we've been and can't day it was worth the money. £66 for a family of 3. Pointed to a table and left to use the app. Pizza was nice enough, sides were OK, salad bar not the best. Toilets weren't clean. Staff nice enough and service relatively quick but overall not worth the price unless you go for the all you can eat buffet during the day then not quite so bad.

Photo copied menus we couldn’t read! Waitress totally uninterested! Couldn’t scan table to order, why are we having to do that anyway these days!! Overpriced! Restaurant only had 3 tables in but insisted on sitting us next to someone else as waitress said she was ‘the only one working’ Left - went down the road and had a wonderful meal in an Italian restaurant for half the price! AVOID!!!!

If ever there was proof that a place needed avoiding them this is it. This place has the service skills of wet blanket. Went for my daughters birthday and well I would have rather been on the Titanic. For one the service would have been a lot better and I'm sure I would have received what I ordered. Half of our order never arrived, and then was asked if we wanted our ice cream to take away!! Tried complaining to the manager but they hid so couldn't. All in all if you want a pizza go to a local independent, guarantee you will get a better meal and experience. Not that its that hard

Can’t fault the food but the service was poor. Staff visibly on their phones, no check back, staggered delivery of food, a morgue would have a better atmosphere. Staff member also dropped cutlery on the floor and just put it back on the table. Take an anti bac wipe if planning a visit.

What a whirlwind of steamy sheet this place is. My one pizza order, was 30 minutes late….and the pizza made my 5 year old violently sick in the night (it was a plain cheese one) also, how any company is still doing a ‘help yourself’ buffet, post-covid is also a mystery, whilst waiting for my pizza I witnessed several pairs of hands ‘violently fingering’ the buffet in a way which would make me question their internet history. I may return the remains of the cheese pizza - after I’ve finished scraping it off the walls, bedding, the back of my sons head, his toys, the carpet and my wife’s leg. Pizza Hut used to be the dogs-bollocks in the 80’s. Sort you’re life out….. and loose that dirty buffet and ‘help yourself to covid’ drinks machine before the WHO track the actual origins of it to a restaurant in Truro.

Great customer service. The pizzeria was busy today with large orders but the staff were amazing, explained why there may be a delay, made pizza and everything was ready 6 minutes later. You’re doing a great job “team Truro”.

Our pizza came out soaking in oil, we spoke with the manager and expressed how we couldn’t eat this due to it being really greasy, Tommy over stepped his role and made sure we had everything to hand and a fresh pizza to take away. Amazing job & will always come back for this kind of service. Pizza’s were both very overdone, paid extra for the cheese & garlic bites on one, which had no filling at all? Perhaps burnt out from the over cooking? No flavour at all on pepperoni pizza and pepperoni so over done it was like pepperoni crisps. Infact both were extremely tasteless. Majority got put in the bin. Did also arrive cold, however, delivery driver via Uber eats was very polite & friendly. We are house sitting for a friend, and we don’t have a Pizza Hut where we are, so were so looking forward to a Pizza Hut after years of not having one, and not being a fan of dominoes. So this was such a let down, and not cheap! The pizzas were both squished in the box, but again this can’t always be helped, but both boxes weren’t actually even sealed… Wouldn’t have again from here.

Just came out of hospital . Very hungry . First of told to download app which we are not very good at . And order QR code . Eventually we done that . Choose a chicken pitza of paper menu and could not find it. So called only one lady staff. Who had just started at 4 pm she went to ask why no chicken pitza and was told no onions . How crazy with a salad bar not to have onions . In disgust we walked out . The lady had no costumer service skills at all so stressed from being in hospital and wanting decent meal. Left in tears dreadful service

Very poor experience this evening. Pizzas and food sat waiting for ages, kitchen staff having a rave with their music being heard over the restaurant music. I'm all for young people in hospitality but with no management on the floor the waitresses were more interested in talking to each other and their friends were in. When needing assistance there wasn't anyone around for a good 15 minutes. Such a shame that the poor staffing ruined our evening.

In one word: awfully Pizza without taste, combined with the do it yourself style (ordering the food with cellphone) makes it overall a very bad experience; something what a restaurant not should be. Above all: the pizza is apart from expensive not eatable My advise: don't visit this establishment

We came here as a family of four for tea after an appointment in Truro. We were told we had to sit in a booth away from everyone else because of covid, but got placed right next to the toilet and kitchen door, the busiest traffic area in the restaurant? We were given menus and told we had to order on the app and pay before we received our food. The menu is very limited and it was such a hassle doing it that way around. The table was supposedly sanitised but was sticky and had dirt on it. When the food arrived the portions did not reflect the cost. Over £50 for 2 kids meals, 1 pizza, 2 drinks and a dessert. Also what really irks me is they dont sell normal pepsi/coke due to the sugar tax but can sell you a cookie dough dessert with enough calories to see you through the winter. The food was ok. The kids desserts were brownie and ice cream which had clearly been pre prepared in a bowl and put in the freezer, so the brownie was frozen solid! Also the staff really didnt care about their job or us, we had to wait ages to get our plates cleared and get someone attention to bring us the desserts. Also, perhaps there should be a uniform or dress code for the staff as they looked really scruffy. It needs a major overall.

£60 anpr parking ticket in the outer, far, separate car park from some external company, back when the signs were not visible. I lived locally and used the restaurant regularly, I had no idea about the restrictions so used it for a walk. I contacted management and was greated with no understanding and was forced to pay. The food is same as all pizza huts, but that experience has left a bad taste I'm my mouth

So disappointed with our experience. Rubbish menu, rubbish staff, have to do everything ourselves including taking the menus, ordering, they didn’t even bother clearing the table. Pizzas average and overpriced. Children loved the ice cream though. Will not repeat this experience. Can’t be totally blamed on COVID. The staff just don’t care.

The unlimited salad is really good.. The pizza was practically flavourless and burnt.. Took a long time to come out. Staff don't really seem to know what's going on and make you feel a bit uncomfortable probably wouldn't go back

Love the new ribs and always went there for bbq chickens and don't need to talk about pizza is lush, plus the new fresh smoothies mint choc it's fresh and nice as well.

We found the service and food great. It was reasonably busy. Within 10 minutes of sitting down a very polite waitress took our order. We helped ourselves to the salad bar and within minutes our food was served. We found the young lady that served us polite and efficient. She is a credit to the establishment.

Love Pizza Hut buffets... this isn't a town centre restaurant so it's a little out of the way and caters for the local college, nearby industrial parks, passing traffic and local businesses.There's plenty of parking. Inside it's nice and spacious with a light, open, airy feel to it.We went for the 'eat all you can' buffet, which always feels like great value if you're prepared to feel full afterwards. Salads were fresh, pizzas well stocked, although if you go early, as we did, you may not get any of the more 'special' pizzas as they cook for the amount of people there. Obviously this makes sense to maximise profit and minimise wastage, but you may only get the more common pizzas until it's busier.Everything was clean, service was very good and we enjoyed it.

You got what you expected but the service was slow, took a while to have our order taken and then waited a fair but for food and eventually the bill. It was only a Tuesday, not peak time and whilst it was fairly busy I would have expected more, even self service refillable drinks would have been a help like in some other Pizza Hut chains.

Good food. Good service. Just as we were ready to leave a girl came on shift and we almost died laughing. She looked like Adam the ant. She just had 2 lines of bright pink stripes of blusher across her face. I think she was pregnant so perhaps this has muddled her brain? She looked absolutely ridiculous! She didnt look very professional.
