Pizza Express MK1 in Milton Keynes

We went on the night of a Craig David concert and the restaurant was busy, but we received excellent service particularly from Bogdan. The food was delicious and the wait time wasn't bad at all. Plus my partner left her phone in the restaurant and Bogdan found it and kept it safe for us.

Prior to this visit I had never been to a Pizza Express. Not once. Shameful really, given their prevalance and my love of pizza. From the minute we arrived the host/front of house/guy in the door hustled and bustled to make sure we were well taken care of, and was excellent. I am sorry not to have gotten his name, as I would have liked to have name checked him. All other staff were excellent too, and whilst the main courses were somewhat delayed, I put that down to the kitchen more than the guys on the "shop floor." The food was very nice - everyone enjoyed their pizzas and I would ordinarily have given them 5/5, however my Pizza appeared to have been made during a cheese shortage, whilst everyone else's was positively covered in the stuff. That was a disappointment, though the pizza was still good. As I say, prior to this visit I had never been to a pizza express, and so I had never experienced their fabled garlic dough balls. I have been a fool. I have missed something quite magnificent. All in all, a really good visit. I shall definitely return.

Terrible service, like they didn't want us there, more pre-occupied with doing the take away deliveries than supporting the internal customers. restaurant was half empty, yet told would have to wait 45 minutes ! 'Did we really want to wait' !! Left standing at the door for 5 minutes upon arrival, although we had been seen. The food when it finally arrived wasn't bad, but it just came when it was ready, not at the same time.

Busy on a bank holiday weekend so surely the management should have enough staff working. We waited 40 minutes for pizzas with no reasoning or apology.

Nice clean restaurant. Lovely food , fun deals , quick service and very helpful staff. I’ll definitely be going again. Lots of choice on the menu, we had dough balls and a pizza each and there was plenty of.

I always enjoy a Pizza Express and this one was pretty good. Located in a row of restaurants with outside seating if desired, although not much of a view. Service was quick and food was good, although I'm sure the sharing portion of doughballs has shrunk. BBQ beef pizza was particularly good, as were the polenta fries. Not cheap for pizza, but significantly better than other pizza chains.

We visited today for our Wedding Anniversary, this is our ‘go to’ Pizza Express in MK. We sat outside as the weather was so hot & we were served by Anthony, what a lovely, friendly & attentive server! How lucky were we! Anthony took the time to talk to us & we found out we had a mutual love of Nduja! Anthony is a real credit to the team, he is super friendly & just spot on! Every PE should have an Anthony! Thank you so much for really making our anniversary truly special! Oh & yes, the food was as good as ever!

Food was good, recommend the hot honey dough balls Waiting staff were not attentive. Seating left dirty from previous attendees. Convenient location with ample parking

As a delivery driver I can say that customer makes the order, and they are every time late on their orders, and we, the drives have to wait 20-30 minutes every time for they lazy bottom to move, full of fat whales inside and everytime treating drivers as they are slaves, same short minded as mc donalds, Avoid. They have customer service only when you take out good money from your pocket

me and my friend came in and were served by Zsuzsanna who was really kind to us and lovely to speak to. always had a smile on her face, a real highlight to our evening. food was good too.

Service ok apart from the weird greeter Wine expensive and average Pizzas smaller and overcooked Halloumi bites mainly mush Used to think this chain were a level above - not so much now it appears

The Pizza I ordered and the pizza that was served were not as expected. I ordered a Classic Americano Pizza and ended up being served an Americano Pancake. Crepe was not what I ordered! I am assuming it was due to the restaurant being busy that the main meal was served to me without it having been checked first by the server

First visit to Pizza Express since Covid. We werent disappointed apart from the number of items missing or in limited supply on the menu. Dispite that the meal was good and service better.

We had actually planned to go to another restaurant along the same strip (I won’t mention which one) but the atmosphere was dead their and the table offered was next to the toilet, so we were like “no thanks.” We came to Pizza Express, we’re seated straight away and the ambience was lovely. Both of our kids are dairy free and we were aware that they do a vegan pizza. The kids meal is great which includes dough balls, a choice of 4 different pizza’s and a desert. Our kids loved the food and they said the vegan pizza was comparable to Prezzo’s. The starters were great: bruschetta and garlic wings. My pizza was amazing, the barbacoa, wow! Although, my wife didn’t enjoy her Leggera Padana. Kayleigh our waitress was very good and so was the manager on shift. Good experience overall.

I come here all the time I work in leighton buzzard pizza express the service was poor, waiter not even coffee trained. Took 20 mins to take our order! We ordered coke with no ice, came with ice which a fair mistake. Food was sitting on the pass for 10 mins or so before anyone had got to it. But then ask for garlic oil and we were given chilli oil instead. As a fellow pizza express worker this is not good, never been like this before.

2 x adults and a 3 year old Good experience, service was decent, food cooked nicely and the children's activity pack was a nice touch

Was very busy when walked in as a table of 2 Saturday afternoon, however the manager was very accommodating and said for us to come back in half hour. When seated our waitress was no where to be seen and we were sat waiting for 15 minutes to even order drinks, until Darcy came over who looked very busy at the time with a big table.. (I work in the trade, I understand the struggles), however Darcy turned our experience around. She is an absolute credit! Will definitely return soon!

A very nice friendly quick service restaurant with tasty food.It's in an excellent promenade of eateries with a wide choice but we were very happy choosing this.

Third visit in 6 months and still awful . Ignored at front door waiting area whilst three staff looked at us then carried on with other less important tasks . Manager spent most of Visit emptying drinks cartons into fridge whilst ignoring customers . Starters not cleared before mains came out . Ages to get drinks . Food average and staff still carrying pizza's with thumbs lodged between pizza and plate. They where not busy but poor management means leads to poor service

Went as group of 4. Greeted by indifferent front of house staff and after waiting a few minutes shown to seat. Starters where ok but nothing special . Starters lot cleared when mains arrived . Two pizzas cold so sent back , then they returned where had raw bases. Did not eat one of them and requested be removed from bill. When bill arrived was incorrect as pizza not removed. Lack of leadership and although staff seem busy there where too many people complaining about food around us . They rely on past glory of this chain and standards have slipped - but will continue to be busy due to sheer volume of passing trade .
