Pizza Express - Haslemere in Waverley

We booked a table of 26 here for my daughter’s birthday. From the initial enquiry, the food and service everything was exceptional. A special thank you to the 3 staff that served us, you did amazing. Thank you, the whole party had a wonderful time.

Service was pleasant enough, but short of staff. Place had 5 uncleared tables for at least 20 mins during meal. Nice staff. But ultimately WHEN DID THE PIZZA GET SO SMALL!!?? BEST part of£20 each. Mad, surely can't go on much longer.

Georgie was out of this world fantastic service and even helped me with getting onto the WIFI 10/10 service and the pizza wasn’t too bad either

Great pizza, the place is lovely and clean, one of few places in Haslemere that actually has decent food. Charlie the manager was top notch, very welcoming and took the time to explain the menu and help of with specific dietry requirements

Six of us visited haslemere Pizza Express on Saturday 27th January to celebrate my daughters 22nd birthday. We can not thank the team enough for making our night so perfect. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the manager with a very warm welcome and taken to our table. We would like to say a huge thank you to Charlie, who looked after us for the night. Nothing was too much trouble. He was fantastic at his job. His customer service skills were brilliant. A real asset to the restaurant. I also want to say if you are looking for good food, definitely go there. The pizzas and pasta dishes were heaven. My daughter loved her evening as did us all. She was made to feel really special. They even dimmed the lights when they brought out her cake. Thank you again, Charlie and all the team, for a perfect evening. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Unbelievably shoddy pizzas and not at all up to the Pizza Express standard when we ordered tonight via Deliveroo. Website said click and Collect wasn’t available, otherwise we’d have happily collected in person. When receiving the order we were met with cold food (bear in mind the restaurant is <2 mins drive from our house) with honestly 10% of the toppings you’d expect in house. Pics attached of the sloppy guiseppe and padana received. Horrified.

Just had a lovely meal here. The welcome was lovely, the staff were really busy but were cheerful and chatty. Food was up to its usual standard. Great service and great food. Thanks guys!

Excellent branch of Pizza Express

The service was amazing and fast! The food was so good and the atmosphere was really nice! Overall this place is really good and i totally recommend it!

Our son had a fantastic birthday party at pizza express. Lauren was wonderful with the children and they all had a blast! She really made it a huge success. Thank you for a very memorable party.

Arrived at 19:18, Monday 22nd, waited at the door to be seated for 5 minutes, no one came so we picked a table and sat down. Had to ask for menu. Must say took our order was taken pretty quick. Drinks served and we waited for our meal choice, the same server that took our order came be and asked if we had ordered, yes we had. And we waited, eventually got served at 20:08 the name of this restaurant is Pizza Express. !!! The food was nice though. Just the service needs looking into.

We were a table of 11 after the Pantomime in Haslemere. Service was excellent and food very good. Manager and staff very helpful.

Georgie and Elora were really kind and funny and definitely worth the money. Brilliant food 10/10 would come again.

Up to the usual standard and great service from two very friendly servers, though Pizza Express is getting pretty pricy these days, so my visits are becoming less frequent.

This is such a pretty Pizza Express. It looks so cool inside and the staff are so nice! My personal recommendation is not to go without the app, you can save lots of money using it and even pay via your phone. Also bring along some sort of discount such as your UniDays or a voucher, and come Sunday - Monday. This makes the food very reasonably priced.

Had a lovely dinner at Pizza Express Haslemere, the food was delicious and came out fast and piping hot. The staff were all very helpful at making recommendations, were very fast at delivering food and drinks, and were very polite, I think her name was Lauren. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will be going back to that particular branch of the restaurant again

Really lovely staff. So helpful. The Cannelloni is so tasty. It’s very saucy, really worth a go. The bread with the pesto is also a must have. Everything we’ve had we’ve always liked. The staff really go above and beyond and it’s definitely worth a visit!!

I ordered two pizzas but they both arrived uncooked. I had to cook the pizzas in my oven.

Our waitress was fantastic. She dealt with an error on the order and payment exceptionally well. The food was slow to arrive and very average when it arrived. The pizza had no specific taste other than tomato and grease and the dough was overworked and chewy. At c £16 a pizza I would rather get a frozen from the supermarket. Sad as love to pop to this location.

Ultra processed rubbish. Honestly, after changing my diet and the food I eat almost 6 months ago I can now properly say that food from these type of establishments is just embarrassing. I only went along as the kids wanted Pizza. We got served sub standard junk food which is glossed up as authentic Italian Faye and charged stupid prices as a final insult. Rubbish 😂

The Calebrese pizza was a bit weird, not its usual self. I hope its a one off and not a permanent change ....

We would like to express our gratitude and thanks to Pizza Express in Haslemere for their warm welcome and hospitality our customers received today 9/4/2023. Our customers who are based at the Harbour Day Centre in Milford have Learning Disabilities and to help them to experience life skills the Manager Alex Roe and his wonderful team gave them a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience helping them make their own pizzas. This life experience would not have taken place if the wonderful Manager had not agreed to offer them this opportunity. The pizzas were delicious and very tasty and our customers had a fantastic time and really enjoyed themselves. The staff went above and beyond to ensure their comfort and satisfaction. A big thank you again to Alex and his team who were truly amazing.🤩

An early dinner for six including two children under 6. My one complaint was that a number of tables hadn't been cleared when we arrived though it was pretty quiet and some staff were chatting instead of clearing. That said, the service then picked up and we all enjoyed a good meal. I am writing this review because I thought the calamari was as good or better than I have ever eaten. The batter was just marvellous.

First time I ordered from here the pizza was burnt black, second time they sent the wrong order and refused to deal with it, then the girl on the phone hung up on me.

Me and my partner came here on a Friday evening, obviously expecting it to be busy and noisy. Indeed there was packed but that didn't seem to effect the quality of service we received. The servers were genuinely some of the friendliest and most enthusiastic people I've ever met. They made us feel comfortable and welcome. The food was great and the service was quick. Thank you so much for making our experience at a humble pizza express feel like a fine dining experience. Thank you pizza express :)

I like this branch, the people who work there are always nice and cheerful and the pizzas always delicious; the service is usually quick and efficient but you don't feel rushed either; the restaurant atmosphere is good too; definitely the best pizzas in Haslemere and surrounding area and I think we have tried them all; now our go to pizzeria cause not only the pizzas are great but the cost is reasonable too. Finally they do have a nice bottle of Chianti :-)

The Waiters were great very attentive and compliments to the Chef who’s name was Josh who was very understanding of my specific order would go again

A great dining experience, went for daughters birthday dinner and they made the dessert special for her. Staff were very efficient, helpful and attentive. Menu is good and loads of gluten-free options. Very happy with our visit.

Wow! The best meal and best service I have ever received from Pizza express. The restaurant was full and the service and food was brilliant.

Have dined here numerous times and always have always really enjoyed it only thing I would say is the pizza definitely could do with a little more cheese. Despite that the service is always great, waiting staff are extremely friendly and accommodating especially Ciara who has served us the last few times she’s very welcoming and attentive.

Today I had my best experience at the Haslemere pizza express yet!! My waitress Georgie was so happy and smily and helped make my day a little brighter, the chefs did an amazing job with my food and I was very well looked after by the whole team. I can’t wait to come back soon!

I’m a little late writing this review but I wanted to thank you so much for our 2 year Wedding Anniversary meal back in October! The service was so friendly, one of the waitresses was making a fuss of our baby girl which was just lovely. The food was absolutely perfect & it was just the most relaxed & happy outing for the 3 of us. Highly recommend.

Got 2 take away pizzas, can honestly say I have had better £2 frozen pizzas from Lidl, definitely won't waste any more money there again. Staf also could be more friendly, remember unhappy customers means no business

Shared some laughs and stories of ‘the old days’ over a sweating bottle of Sauvignon. The Padana Romana was ‘belissimo’ - to quote our Mediterranean cousins. I found the staff to be accommodating and friendly. I shall be returning, with vigour. Ciao for now.

I’d never been to this branch before but came after visiting the village hall for an event. Despite on the way there, walking past ask and other restaurants which were rammed, Pizza Express was totally empty, which was surprising for 7pm. However the staff were all friendly, the food was nice and arrived really quickly! Between us we had a pasta and several different pizzas, all which tasted great. I had one of the pizzas with the hole in the middle (the hole is filled with salad) but they had been too heavy handed with the salad sauce, which totally ruined the dish (and lost you a star). It is meant to be a healthy option, so drenching the salad in sauce kinda defeats that!

Unfortunately not a very good evening we took our son to Haslemere pizzaexpress but we received a terrible service. We order starters that never came and one the pizza was not what we have ordered and that's after waiting 45 minutes on Thursday night. It seems that the chef want to do wT they want and the writers have no clue what was going on. After 45 asked the writers where was our starters then she brought the main course instead with the wrong pizza. Absolutely ridiculous not again. I make better pizza at home than you guys and they only reason I ended up in the restaurant it was because my son insisted. But now even him at 11 years old realised how trerblethe service was.

We loved eating here as the staff were very friendly and it was a nice, relaxed atmosphere for our children to be themselves without fear of them being noisy as kids are!

The restaurant was surprisingly quiet, despite it being the weekend. Great range of Pizza and Italian Pasta meals. Children's menu was good. The only blot in the ointment was an inability to deliver one of the children's meals until 5 minutes after the adults had been served. This pushed the patience of a 3 year old.

Took my daughter there for her 4th birthday and the staff were really accommodating. Our waitress (a young girl with glasses) was absolutely brilliant. Always happy and very friendly. She also had a great memory for what we ordered when the food came out, which was even more impressive given the fact there was 17 of us!!). Very happy customer and will be back again in the future.

Have eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed, the food is always amazing and the service is excellent. I had assumed that all Pizza Express are the same standards but having recently visited another Pizza Express in a different town its made me realise how excellent the food and staff are in Haslemere.

Lovely meal tonight and a superb coffee to ennd the meal before going home to a power cut.

We were offered pasta or salad which we picked pasta and then waited another 30mins and it turn up LUKE WARM and no better than Dolmio ready meal! Absolutely shocking from Pizza Express- this place has really gone down and we will never revisit! Had to go and get a separate takeaway meal after to make up for it.

I really enjoyed my experience at pizza express.I had Caitlin as my waitress .She was very sweet and good at her job and had a lovely smile that made the experience all worth it .Caitlin should be commended on her excellent services .Me and my friends will definitely be back .

Really wonderful evening. My son’s second birthday, the staff couldn’t have been more lovely! They made a huge fuss of him, brought out banners and sang happy birthday. Wish I’d got their names because they all deserve a huge thank you for making it such a special evening. Food delicious too!

We had a wonderful experience here this lunchtime. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff I believe was called Cleo. It was my daughters 4th birthday and she was made a fuss of by Cleo which meant everything to my daughter, we really felt like the only people there. The service was wonderful throughout our visit. The food was wonderful as well and we were all very happy with our experience today. Cleo was a wonderful host and we all would wish to thank her for making our experience more enjoyable than we would ever have expected. Thanks for a great meal to the chefs as well 👍.

Stopped by for a quick family lunch. The restaurant is in a nice location with a relaxed atmosphere. Obviously it’s a chain but it felt relaxed and the food was very good. We were looked after by our waitress Caitlin who did an excellent job of making sure we were happy etc Would defo recommend for families

Our family of 2 adults & 2 children are regular visitors to Pizza Express Haslemere, and a large part of that is the warm welcome we always get from Chloe and the team. Add to that the delicious pizzas and convenient location, and it's easy to see why we return time and again.

So lovely to come back here after so long! A regular for us, I came with my daughters Friday night and as always a lovely quick service and very friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Very yummy too !

Not covid compliant on our trip. Less than 1 metre between tables & v busy. The food was not up to previous visits either. Will not be revisiting this one till after Covid

My friends and I often go to this restaurant and usually have no complaints. However when we visited here last night there was no sign of any social distancing. We were expecting alternate tables to be closed off or at the very least the centre row unavailable but no. Seating exactly same as pre covid. Not even 1 metre apart let alone 2. At one point there were some tables empty on far side of room, new people arrived and were shown to table 2 feet from us!!!There was hand gel at door but that was it. Staff friendly although I did have to ask a waiter to cover his nose with his mask, he said it kept slipping down, I'm sorry but if it keeps slipping down then do something about it! Service bit slow at times. Food arrived quickly and was nice and hot but delay clearing table table. We will not be returning until the pandemic is over or they start following government guidelines. I have survived COVID once. I have no wish to battle it again.

Visited this restaurant many times over the years but won't be going again for some time. On arrival the restaurant was very busy & over full to comply with distancing with Covid regulations. As we had booked I thought we would be ok, but no. Initially we were sat right in the middle of other full tables of people making us less than 1 metre apart so we asked to be moved. Better but still not compliant. Then the next people that came in were seated right next to us, despite there being other tables further away available. Now we were surrounded on 3 sides by people less than 1 metre from us. Felt very uncomfortable about the whole situation. One member of the staff wasn't wearing his mask correctly (nose uncovered) & was asked my another customer to put it on correctly, which he did, but it shouldn't be happening. On top of this there was a shortage of ingredients (no carnalised onions) & only dairy milk, no, non dairy alternatives at all. The pizza's were rather overdone & burnt on the edges, but we didn't want to wait any longer than necessary in the place so ate quickly & left. Such a disappointment for what was a good place to eat & relax.

We wanted to go to Hemingways but as a party of 5 it was difficult to get a socially distanced table. Crossed the road to pizza express which is usually less busy and no problem getting a table. Kids liked it. Their app / menu was a little tricky, but they took the order in person.

Popped in, and had a lovely meal. Great team and Tyrone looked after us all night. Really lovely evening. 👍👍

Arrived a few minutes late after booking for 7:30 and table was not ready/ not clean. We got told to wait outside in the cold on uncomfortable chairs...

Tori and her staff made me feel so special on my birthday. Happy lovely staff even when you can see they are busy. Even the kitchen wished me a happy birthday. Keep on smiling guys you are smashing it!

Had dinner here on a stay at The Georgian hotel next door. Lovely staff and food we had a great evening. House red was delicious

Surprisingly busy with loads of families with small children creating a noisy atmosphere. Service was good with a friendly waitress. Pizzas themselves were well cooked. Always feel this chain is overpriced for drinks especially for soft drinks. Shame coz we'd buy more if less expensive.

Amazing vegan menu, the taste is far from compromised with their delicious vegan cheese. Please bring back your spicy vegan hummus pizza!

Hard working staff in an extremely busy but noisy restaurant. Food unfortunately boring and very limited besides being tasteless.

Lovely pizza, the gluten free pizza was a little on the small side. We felt a little rushed, everything appeared to happen very fast, would have preferred to have had a slower service with time to enjoy my wife’s company.

Not fair to give them 1 star because the food was good. But we ordered takeaway pizzas. 1 was meant to be a vegan pizza and the other a barbacoa. First time round and we checked them before leaving and they made us one without vegan cheese and one American hot. We told them the order was wrong so they made it again. Second time round we didn’t check as assumed they couldn’t get it wrong this time. Sadly they did. The vegan pizza was fine. But they still didn’t make a barbacoa. They made an American instead of an American hot. I would have preferred the American hot first time round! And I paid extra for the barbacoa so bit disappointing and careless. At least they gave us extra dough balls tho. But this was kinda easy issue to avoid tbf.

We came away VERY glad to have eaten here-- the chef is very good at their job--selecting very tasty produce for the menu and preparing/cooking simple food BRILLIANTLY. We had the most delicious tomato,mozzerella and pesto salad for starter and then I had a ham ,mushroom and olive , thin pizza,best I've eaten with sharp sorbet to finish.And we had a special price coupon! We 'd definately return when back in the area.

Service in the Haslemere branch is a bit hit and miss. Sometimes great, but sometimes truly awful!

What you expect at pizza express.

Great meal last night with some friends. Last minute but pizza express doesn’t disappoint. Staff were lovely and the food was brilliant.

We looked on line for a restaurant which was in the Two for one offer with the meerkat vouchers. We were in Haslemere and Pizza express was one of the options. I was with my husband and my parents . We wanted an early super so we went in. The staff were really welcoming and were happy to seat us away from a very noisy child sitting by the door.Our drinks order and food order was taken nice and quickly and when to food arrived it was very nicely presented and was both hot and delicious.We were offered the desert menu but were all too full. Our waitresses were really lovely and knowledgable about both the menu and the history of the building. A breath of fresh air. I’m sure , as my parents are staying in Haslemere for ten days, I’m sure they will go back to this restaurant.It was very well run, very clean. A throughly enjoyable experience for a family meal.

Great service, lovely food, nice distraction for the kids whilst waiting. All round very reliable place to eat.

Lovely pizzas and drinks. Quite busy as we were early evening, so lots of Friday families, which gave a good buzz.

Ridiculously slow service even when we were 2 of 6 diners total, the pizza arrived burnt, rigid and somewhat see through - imagine a kind of tomato based frisbee. Tasted like the remnants from the bottom of a toaster scraped into a pile with a slight tinge of tomato to it, drinks were nice however; although this would be worrying if you couldn't properly make a drink. Aside from the food it was cold inside, dark and dingy. A kind of depressing pizza dungeon in a way. Wouldn't recommend.
