Prezzo in Waverley

We used a red letter day voucher that entitled for a two course meal for two. A special menu was given to us. We asked for meals from the main menu and were willing to pay any difference. Eventually a compromise was made. We both had starters which were okayish. We both had Saltimboca main, the experience went downhill after that. The chicken was not wrapped in prosciutto, the sauce was certainly not buttery and wine infused, more like brown watery bisto gravy and tasteless. I’m not going to comment on the jacket potato or lump of something green. We both had decided not to have a pizza, that was a big mistake. I would have given a one star, but the staff were ok and the carafe of wine was ok. The main meal was not good. I doubt we will be going back anytime soon.

Visited for dinner on 2 October. The food arrived incredibly quickly and tasted fantastic. I had the Saltimbocca Chicken Sage which I’ve not seen on the menu before but it was really good. The rest of my family had pizza / calzone which they all thoroughly enjoyed. The girl that served us was great, very friendly, helpful and efficient! Great experience all round!

Disappointing. We'd come along for my son's birthday. Whilst the service was generally good (if somewhat overstretched), the food was very disappointing and not comparable to our previous visit. Arancini were cloying with not discernable rice in the filling. My vegetarian calzone was bland, with a crust that was thick and puffy in places (similar calzone in competitor chains are far better); the chicken saltimbocca was overcooked chicken with a knot of fried prosciutto, a single baked/roast potato hybrid and an undercooked wedge of cabbage (and no discernable sage). Salads were ok but both of our party who had ordered said they were overly drenched in dressing. Pepperoni pizza was the most successful choice. To be fair to the waiting staff, they offered to replace one of the chicken dishes with an alternate choice and did so swiftly. But they shouldn't have had to do so. And given it was a special occasion, it's a shame the food was a let down. We'll be heading elsewhere next time.

Bustling place with lots of good options on the menu.Came here with our granddaughter’s as a treat( their choice) and they seemed insanely busy the whole time we were there .One of my granddaughters is veggie,she asked for extras on her pizza everything came as requested .Loved the way even the youngest member of our group was spoken to directly and checked that everything was to her taste too,we all felt very well looked after.

Our visit started badly when we passed, on our way in, what turned out to be the chef in his dirty apron sitting on the steps having a quick fag; that just didn't look good. The seats we were given were split/damaged plastic. The pizzas were really not as good as we've had in the past and one main meal from the order was forgotten. Given it was a Sunday lunchtime, in previous years it would have been heaving. This time we were on our own for much of the time before one other family came. It all felt very lack-lustre and down-at-heel. We won't be going back in a hurry, which is a shame because, historically, Prezzo was a failsafe go-to place for a good meal out.

Great food, great menu, great service and great location. The building and restaurant itself is fabulous, the food was great and the open plan lay out is lovely. They also have a private dining room at the back which is fantastic for little celebrations.

We were very happy with our experience on Easter Monday. Our waitress was lovely and the meals were all excellent. The atmosphere in the restaurant is light and airy, which suits me. One of us had a birthday and the dessert was presented with Happy Birthday written in chocolate with a candle … such a nice touch.

Busy restaurant, yet wait for food wasn't too bad. Friendly staff and food quality was superb. Family of 7, starters, mains and drinks came to £180. House wine (red) very smooth and palatable. Meat calezone very nice.

I booked this restaurant online as a surprise for my wife. When I got the confirmation email I was told that I had to pre select our meals. That would have kinda killed the surprise. They also wanted me to provide my credit card details prior to attending. Non of this was mentioned at time of booking. I wasn’t prepared to do that, so I cancelled.

The restaurant looked lovely, but it was so hot and airless. I couldn’t face staying and eating in such an uncomfortable environment.

Pizza was ok but ordered a Burrata starter which arrived and was instead a mozzarella ball (the texture is very different). When challenged the manager said little other than ‘this was the cheese we were delivered’ but they shouldn’t be trying to pass off something completely different! No apology from him, he just took it away and it felt like he knew this wasn’t the right stuff. He didn’t even apologise when we paid the bill. Really put me off going here if they are just dishonest…

Had booked so got good table but not very busy. Waiter service quick and efficient, almost too quick as starters were only just finished as mains arrived. Hummus was good although a little too much additional oil. The ravioli main of lobster and crab was undercooked and tasted more like tuna. The Tiramisu was not creamy. Have had better. The rest enjoyed their meals but generally a bit disappointing

On a spur of the moment we decided to come for dinner, 5 of us in total. The staff were really friendly. The food tasted amazing. I had the new courgette/ ricotta pizza then lotus cheesecake! Everything arrived really quickly. The staff didn’t rush us, although they could have done with asking us if we wanted more drinks when some of us were empty!

Very nice food, slightly distracted staff, noisy but fairly pleasant place to eat. The staff could do with not chatting to each other a lot of the time guests are trying to catch their eye, or follow up customers a little more. The food was good, the Tre Carni Calzone especially good, though it came with a meager plain tomato salsa, when I would maybe expect a bit more of a sauce.

It's in a very convenient location with free parking after 6.30pm mid week in the car park opposite. The food was freshly cooked, nicely presented and tasty. The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean, light and airy and had a nice ambience. It was a popular choice even on a Wednesday evening. We would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

So good!! We have visited for lunch for our wedding anniversary and we loved every moment with this visit. Next time when we will be able to go out. It will be Prezzo Godalming ;)

Early evening meal. Food brilliant as usual. Service impeccable and friendly. I try something different each time we eat here and I am never disappointed

6 of us (4 adults, 2 children) dined here on a Friday evening to celebrate a birthday. This was my most disappointing restaurant experience to date, and I am a 47-year old who travels regularly and eats out several times a month. The menu is incredibly over priced. My wife had the lobster pasta (£17.40), which didn’t seem to contain any lobster and only a few pieces of pasta. My father’s burger was over cooked and tasteless. My calzone dough was undercooked. We had Bellinis and Spritzes which tasted like they contained no spirits (£9 each). Our deserts (toffee puddings and tiramisus at £9 each) looked and tasted like the supermarket kind (£3 for a tray of 4 portions). The service was slow and although the servers were kind and polite, they were clearly inexperienced. I appreciate that inflation is high and staff hard to come by, but this remains a very poor value experience in comparison with independent Italian restaurants in the UK, and bears no resemblance to an Italian experience in Italy or even France. The Prezzo chain is clearly run by accountants with no regard for anything but the bottom line.

Food is lovely, the service is always extremely good and the staff are very friendly. Usually come here at least once a month!

This is our favourite local restaurant , always good food with very attentive service. We visited for a family birthday and booked the party room at the back of the restaurant. Looked after by the lovely waitresses and tasty food. Thanks for the birthday song and candle in my pudding, nice touch:0)

We came here for my birthday. It was our first time in any Prezzo. This one in Godalming is in an interesting building on a quiet side street. We received a warm welcome. It felt cosy inside too. We ordered calamari and arancini to start. The calamari was great, the arancini lacked something for me though. For our mains we had madeira chicken and mushrooms, and lobster and crab ravioli. Both were really tasty. On the side we had garlic bread with mozzarella. It wasn't great, was smaller than expected and at £7, rather expensive. We shared pudding of lemon meringue...it was fantastic! The service was great. We'll be back, I'm sure.

Our experience was not great. The food was not fresh and both the drinks and food were not up to the standard of the price. My partners calamari starter was very chewy. The desserts was stale and had clearly been sat out. We felt rushed...

Friendly, efficient staff at this pretty decent Pizza restaurant with a good menu from which to choose. The atmosphere is great and the food excellent.

We make it a point to dine at Prezzo each time we are in Godalming. Excellent service, food, atmosphere and of course, puddings. Party of eight was no challenge for them. Lasagna and Chicken Carbonara are our favorites. Highly recommended.

I visited Prezzo’s for a pre-Christmas meal with my sister, and had a nice meal. The restaurant is in a large open space and very clean. The servers were all very friendly, but service was very slow even though the restaurant was not busy (surprising in itself as this was the Saturday before Christmas). We both had the pink festive fizz which I don’t recommend unless you have a very, very sweet tooth (I have a sweet tooth and this wasn’t for me). Stick to prosecco. We both had two courses which took forever to arrive. However, all the food was very tasty (we went for a starter and main each). I ordered the smoked-salmon penne which was lovely - if a little spicy - and for a dish that is meant to come with broccoli, I was only given half a stem. Thankfully it was the good end, so I should be grateful, but I think he could have done with some friends. So overall, a nice meal, but slow service and a very lonely broccoli.

Lovely place and good service throughout the night! The food was lovely and decor/ambience of the place was really modern and relaxing. I would really recommend the goats cheese al Forno pasta. Really good. I would say leave the puddings as they were a bit mediocre so leave on a high with starters and mains. I would definitely come back.

Went for a Christmas get together with girl friends had nice food service was just Ok but served by a very surly waitress who couldn’t even find a smile. Not very pleasant.

Came here on the way home from London with a friend the food was really good and the service was quick and friendly I would highly recommend this branch of prezzo

Amazing food, I love the spaghetti carbonara in particular. The customer service is always great and friendly and it is a lovely modern environment.

We ate here mid week in September. The place was fairly busy. The staff were attentive and helpful. The food was decent and lots of it. Nothing not to like.

A lovely atmosphere, perfect for anniversaries or special occasions. The food was extremely delicious and the girls from the staff war amazing. Always ready to help you with a smile on their faces. Really enjoyable. Will definitely be going back.

Unfortunately our meals tasted as if they had been reheated. All the fish courses - salmon, sea bass and calamari- were dry and over cooked. The table service was efficient and polite.

This Prezzo is in the beautifully restored building = a large Hall with exposed roof beams = just off the main shopping Street. We had good dining experience and a lovely meal.

We dined in prezzo’s last night as a family, the food was fantastic and lovely service. Seemed to be very busy for a Tuesday with tables filing up fast. The young lady serving us took it to her best to make sure we were okay although she seemed to be the only one along with another kind waitress assisting her. Will definitely be returning as this is our favourite Italian!

Ate in prezzo for lunch on Sunday and I must say it was a lovely meal, the vegan options are fantastic and I really enjoyed the new VGN mushroom pizza, I was served by two younger staff and were very attentive to myself and my fellow diners and make the experience very pleasurable. I will definitely be back to try more vegan dishes!

Our visit was unfortunately spoiled by a very rude female member of staff (manageress) who was very unfriendly, ignored us and shoved food in front of us without saying anything. When we politely asked her for some more drinks she replied “yeah yeah In a minute”. The other staff (in uniform) were more than friendly, esp the waitress on duty tonight. I won’t be going back anytime soon that’s for sure. There are nicer places with friendly staff that actually make you feel welcome.

I went to Prezzo Godalming with my friends and we all had an amazing evening. As always, the food was delicious and the service excellent, fast and accurate, as usual! They made us feel really welcome and for sure we will definitely come back soon!

So I took my dad to prezzo for an early Father’s Day meal, we are not happy tonight, the food was great as always but the waiter stunk of B.O.! This isn’t the first time he has been smelly and we go to this restaurant often and he always stinks! we do not appreciate being served/eating our food with the smell of B.O. because it was enough to put me off of my pizza I hope this is sorted before our next visit!

Used to go to prezzo all the time about two years ago and it was such a lovely place to go for a meal. However, how much it has changed!

Visited the Prezzo, Godalming on the 25th May for lunch. Very charming restaurant situated off the main High Street. Starters ordered included Bruschetta, meatballs & garlic mushrooms. All very tasty. Mains ordered included the Calabria burger, Margarita pizza & Vesuvious pizza. Delicious. Decided to order dessert as well, sticky toffee pudding, cheesecake & ice cream, with Cappuccinos to finish off. A super meal with charming service.

Our waiter, Pietro looked after us so well. The food was great and came quickly and was great value. The restaurant catered for the 2 gluten free adults and 2 children so well and we felt welcomed by all the staff. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone!

Saturday Lunchtime was not busy, but what cheerful and pleasant welcome to a bright and airy, modern restaurant, well located in the centre of Godalming. Children are made to feel welcome with a colouring paper and crayons. The Italian food menu is mainly pasta and pizza, but had good choices with a 'tiny tots' menu too. We had Vesuvio Pizza, (spicy continental sausage), Spicy Calzone, traditional Lasagne and Ragu Alla Bologna. All was very tasty, well presented and cooked. The manager also had the good presence of mind to position two families (one being ours) away from other adult diners, so as to provide some relative peace for other guests. Why don't other restaurants do this?

We visited on a Tuesday, got a lovely seat in a circular booth. Starters prompt and delicious. I had goats cheese al forno main, very tasty. Then limoncello, very good. A great evening! Service throughout was excellent and staff exceptionally friendly.

Visited for lunch with a friend who needs Gluten Free. Really good choice of food on both standard and GF menus, food was tasty, well presented and arrived quickly. Old fire station building is lovely too and worth a visit just to check it out.

We visited this restaurant on a Friday night,and were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of baking pizza.The restaurant was filling up quickly but we managed to snag a table.The food was delicious and well presented.The services was attentive,quick and knowledgeable.yes it was a bit expensive but we had a lovely time in great surroundings ,very good food and excellent service.Would definitely go again.

We met for a Christmas catch up and present exchange. With 3 smallish children we were very well looked after and made to feel really welcome. The kids menu is excellent and really great value for money. 🙂

I was spoilt for choice with the menu and I very much enjoyed the dish I chose (spaghetti and chicken carbonara). My companions all enjoyed theirs very much too. Even the 2 year old enjoyed hers! The staff were friendly and quick.

Lovely building and atmosphere, didn't enjoy the rather loudish background music. Dimmed lighting and candles were good during our meal. Service was pleasant and friendly, fairly swift.

We visited with friends and order the Tropicana pizza but their bigger thinner base. The only reason this isn’t a 5* is because of the lack of toppings on the pizza. There was very little of everything really! Such a shame! Customer service was friendly and efficient.

We've unfortunately been disappointed about the food here a couple of times now so won't be going back.

We went for lunch and whilst good value as there was a forty percent voucher code, I would not be going again. The food was very average but the reason for my bad rating was the terrible attitude of the waitress. We ordered diet cokes and were given diet pepsi instead. I explained very politely that we had ordered diet coke and did not like diet pepsi and she looked irritated that I had questioned this and grunted that it was written on the menu. Her general attitude made us feel that she was merely going through the motions and frankly found all our requests plain irritating. I have never not left a tip at a restaurant, but in this case was so cross that nothing was added. I will never be going back again based on this experience.

Excellent service by very attentive staff, food very good well cooked and hot. Would suggest to serve food that has a sauce with it is served on a warm/hot plate as the sauce goes cold to quick. Well priced

Nice and friendly staff, unlike my local prezzo in Hertfordshire . Food was excellent and salad was fresh. Got seated quickly and comfortable seats. Enjoyable meal.

My family visit on a fairly regular basis and are never disappointed with the quality of the food. A varied menu and a very friendly staff. Pleasant room with a good atmosphere.

A great place for young children and exceptional value too ! Service is well-mannered, food is decent, BUT, please don’t overcook the bass and maybe waiting staff could display a smile or two !

We went to Prezzo godalming a friends meal. We were greeted with in seconds of entering and show to table of choice. The restaurant was full and there was a nice friendly staff the service was friendly and quick, when we wanted something it was a pleasure and we will return

I've used this Prezzo in Godalming many times and although now I no longer live in the town I recently went back with family again. I know it is a chain with a chain menu but it has been consistently above expectation and the staff on the ball.

Family get together. 7 Adults. Total bill over £200. Chose venue with a 30% discount voucher. Refused discount as it was a Saturday. This condition was so well hidden in the terms, I had to read them twice to find it. Not happy.

The quality of food is very good and the service is great. They serve very big portions here so if you don't have a very big appetite then maybe only have a main course, however saying that the starters are excellent and very delicious!

Enjoyed a nice lunch on a Saturday afternoon, but another table's food served up for the two children, so had to wait. Not good for hungry children. Adults food was correct and very nice.
