Great service and such a good food. fantastic positive staff. Ola and Joel are amazing and a huge asset to the team. We had a great time.

I went with my friend and our two babies for lunch. The staff were knowledgeable about allergens and provided us with a table that could accommodate two large buggies. The food was delicious and the waitress was lovely.

Food was passable, had wait over an hour for food.

Me and my two friends (black) were trying to have a lovely meal at this establishment when we became the victims of racial injustice. It’s sad to see this still going on in this day and age. We got told that our voices come across aggressive and loud. We were neglected from getting service, it took us a whole 40 minutes to have our order taken. Multiple tables who sat down after us were already handing in empty plates, it did not feel good to see this. Multiple staff spoke to us with condescending tones and rude side comments. We have always loved this restaurant and it is a shame to be treated in this way from a place you used to love. To your new management and your new staff, I hope you do not repeat this treatment to anyone else.

Definitely not the delivery drivers fault - APP said he was at the restaurant for at least 10 minutes. Pizza was only warm and had slid within the packaging so looked unappealing too.

Ordered two pizzas and they both arrived soggy and undercooked. Like, there was 0 love given to the assembly and crafting of these oversauced floppy things. I'm not asking for love like the burning and ungrated passion of a thousand parmesan wheels, kinda love, just the normal, cook the dough right and just take a bit of care in cooking it kinda way. Very disappointed.

Spent around 10 going around the campus, then calls me has a phone which doesn’t have a good microphone so spent about 5 minutes communicating with him after told me he was in a car park which there is about 5-6 of them in the near area I then spend the next 7-8 mins walking towards him and trying to find him even though he has a navigation to my exact location and it says where the drop off is the service was abysmal as well as this being the reorder from the original

Unfortunately as with many restaurants now it seems the priority is with Deliveroo drivers rather than dine in customers. See picture of deliveroo orders on table. Service was stretched, food took too long and the atmosphere felt chaotic. I miss the old pizza express opposite the broad street mall. Staff doing their best in difficult circumstances it seems.

While we visited based on a very good recommendation I cannot say my experience is good. When we checked the menu was not visible to outside (as in most shops), so went in and checked. Briefly we went out and came back and we were denied due to heavy bookings. Of course we understand that, but we were not told that in first time and we were not even encouraged for a take-away. We went to another popular pizzeria within the vicinity and had our lunch.

I visited on a very busy Saturday afternoon before 5pm. I was welcomed and seated. Lovely girl named Victoria took my order. Wait was a bit long- what I expected because of busy time, it’s understandable. Food was good, but I didn’t really like the polenta chips, they didn’t have much taste. Before I paid through the app I wanted to redeem my free side which I couldn’t do for some reason, Victoria noticed my struggle and helped me. I am very impressed and grateful for her customer service. Rest of the team was very busy too. People in the kitchen worked hard and very fast. I had a problem with paying, my app didn’t work. I was helped by manager who I had a nice chat with. Thanks pizza express team!

I went into pizza express reading and the lady who I spoke to was so unbelievably rude. We went in and she said we’re taking bookings only no walk ins and looked away?!! Even though there were a couple of tables free she didn’t bother to even say sorry or apologise or even give an alternative! We even asked her can we pre book and come back later maybe and she literally said no and started looking the other way and walked off?! What the hell? What type of service is this for a restaurant like pizza express? What are they even doing hiring such rude, impolite and incompetent people like that? Who don’t even care to look at you when your simply asking them a question and can’t wait to get away? How rude can someone get? Honestly I’ve had my fair share of rude staff encounters but this was just something else. I didn’t manage to catch her name which now I wish I did but she was a white woman with medium length blonde open hair at the front of pizza express reading the oracle. This happened on the 23/03/2025 The amount of attitude this woman had was unbelievable! I’m honestly absolutely disgusted at this service I’ve been to many pizza expresses and have never been treated with such bad service like this! Absolutely horrific!

I ordered at 6:30pm and it didn't arrive until 7:45pm, and when it finally came, my pizza was cold

Been to Pizza Express a couple of times recently and always greeted with a smile. The restaurant is clean and the food has been delicious both times. Downloaded the app and used bonus free sides. Can't complain 😌 👌🏼

I recently visited Pizza Express near Riverside at The Oracle and had an enjoyable dining experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal out. They helped us with the menu and provided prompt service, which made us feel well looked after. We decided to try the Padana Pizza, along with a Raspberry Sparkler and a classic Coke. The pizza was fantastic—freshly baked with a delicious, thin crust, and topped with rich, flavorful ingredients. The combination of sweet caramelized onions and creamy goat’s cheese on the Padana was a real treat, making each bite a burst of flavor. The atmosphere was lovely, I went to the west quay site, and Zoe was our server, she was a lovely and made the trip much more enjoyable. Along with that, the meal was delightful and had quick service. Would highly recommend!

Amazing team here at Reading! Visited many Pizza express restaurants, hands down this one is the best. Special mention to Alina and Victoria for looking after us so well.

Food was very bland and not worth the amount charged

The servers are amazing and so friendly. The pizza is great but, the chicken salad is awful. That's the worst salad I have ever had. The chicken was so bland and there was a mountain of pepper on it. The music is way too loud as well.

Thank you for a lovely evening! We came to Pizza express tonight for something different and we were very well accommodated. We would love to give a special shout out to Marco (dude), who really made us feel at home with his amazing service and his warm personality.

It was nice and quiet on a Wednesday afternoon. I would love to thank Marco for his brilliant service and how caring he was to myself and other customers who were dining. I ordered the Pollo Ad Astra and it was fantastic and even better when Marco had informed be about there being a deal on the app. Will definitely dine again

We had been sent away from another couple of restaurants as they were full due to school holidays. When arriving we have been greeted by the manager who said "I never turn customers away", he then looked for a table, cleaned it and prepared it quickly for us. We have received great customer servce from start to finish and the food is great. The pizzas are very close to traditional Italian! I can recommend the restaurant and the staff of Pizza Express enough. I will definitely return in the future

Spontaneous visit after a cinema trip. I've not been to a Pizza Express for years (as the prices on the menu reminded me) but this was an absolute delight. Perfect food, adorable staff, light and friendly atmosphere. A memorable experience for all the right reasons. Hoping to go again in a few years after my next cinema trip...

The waiter was the same guy who I had serve me around a month ago, he recognised me which I thought was lovely, he was very attentive but not overly so, he was friendly and helpful with the app. I was checked on by several different staff but didn’t feel like I was bombarded. The food was hot and tasty. Joel was a lovely guy and very good at his job for that reason I will definitely return.

I feel bad on Pizza express because this isn’t their fault! It’s just Eats! No food delivered! Food has been sat waiting ready for over 2 hours! No phone number to contact someone at just eat. Terrible company.

I wouldn’t order from Pizza Express again. Have twice tried to order the ultimate chocolate cake (which they’ve done before with a pizza!). The first time they forgot to pack the slice of cake in an order of two items(!?!), but charged me anyway (!?!!). The second time they cut the slice so badly that the thin side of the wedge was cut diagonally… so I got two-thirds of a cake I paid full price for. The quality control is awful.

Pizza was tasty but service was too slow. The place gets too busy on the weekend and to cramped.

Missing desert so disappointing

The order initially scheduled for 7:40, was delivered at 8:30, though, being fair, I was kept informed of a delay through the app. The pizza arrived cold, and the order missed the dessert. Not the best experience.

The order was missing “The Ultimate Chocolate Fudge Cake” that’s a whopping £9.45 (almost half the total I paid). Not like missing a small dip, etc. really disappointed.

The food is delicious. But someone keeps forgetting the garlic butter when I order the dough balls for delivery, and they really are nothing without the garlic butter. Much disappointment :(

Tonight I ate one of the most delicious pizzas in my life. I have allergy and the chefs in the waiter were extremely careful with this. Special thanks to Joel who took care of me and my family. Highly recommend this place!

Good service and tasty food especially the cannoli pasta but their chocolate cake is extremely expensive £9.45 for 1 slice. Not worth it at all when you can buy a whole cake from a supermarket less than that. It was nice but wouldn’t buy again

Food arrived early, I was delighted. Gave the driver a fiver to say thanks then opened the box. Looked liked he had cartwheeled here to deliver it. Doughballs warm... as for the tub of butter... well that was quarter tub. 1st experience, Never again.

I like to visit this place frequently and am usually very satisfied. Today, I wasn't that satisfied with 'Nduja Calzone (btw. I had it around two weeks ago, and it was excellent at that time); on the other hand, the pizza and dessert were good (and the side was as well).

I love this Pizza Express! Great location, food is always tasty and the pizzas come out soooo quickly. Staff is also nice, Marco and Maria in particular and very competent and helpful. I will continue coming here often

This afternoon I visited Pizza Express in Reading and I was absolutely delighted with the service I received. Nothing was too much trouble. Beth helped me with updating my app and explained how to use it properly. Everything was cooked to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble. As a solo diner I was incredibly impressed with all the staff. The staff should be congratulated for their polite,helpful service. I shall definitely be visiting this restaurant again.

A nice place with good food and decent atmosphere. Weekends are busy and would likely require a reservation. The app has lots of freebies which is well worth doing and you can hook up the apps together by 'checking in' on the same table to use multiple vouchers between the guests. Cleanliness could be a little better with greasy smudges on the bench and mirror, and slight water marks on the glass. However it's more of an improvement point rather than it's dirty. Would visit again.

Had a nice meal here, great server, she noticed I'd been given, and was tucking into, the wrong order before I did and had it remade and sorted in minutes. Really good service all evening.

Cold food despite fast delivery. ‘Double American/ double pepperoni’ was non existent. Had exactly the same amount as the standard American/pepperoni.

Hi we meaning my daughter and i came to eat and was supposed to of had cannelloni I was surprised that there was no spinach in my cannelloni just some sort of sauce which had now flavor apart from it tasted of cream i made a comment about this and was told there was no cream in there at all but there was also no spinach on leaving the restaurant my daughter and i felt really sick i had to get to a public toilet and i was sick no flavor added to disappointment as well and the price certainly made a dent as well Sorry to be the barer of bad news

6 of us ate at the Oracle for my birthday yesterday, 5th March. Our waitress AND the manager could not have been nicer or more patient with us. Some of us had the App', some didn't, some of us wanted to use offers, some of us didn't, some of us wanted to redeem rewards some of us didn't etc. and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The manager was SUPER patient and helped us all individually get the best value offers (no means feat in itself) which saved us all a lot of money, the food was fab and all six of us agreed we were helped and looked after SO well it really made a difference to our evening. A great big THANK YOU for being so patient with us and to the whole team there, we had a great evening there thanks to your professionalism and helpfulness 👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻

in the title lies a compliment - a big one and apparently very difficult to achieve. We arrived at appx 13.40 on Saturday afternoon and the place was packed, deservedly so. Whether by luck or judgement here's an example of a restaurant where kitchen and waiting staff appeared to be working in perfect harmony. Compliments from me are very rare, so well done and hopefully management will take note and even a secret visit to learn and transfer what's being done so well, meanwhile reward those staff for what they are doing.

I came here with my girlfriend over the weekend. We were looked after by Steph, my girlfriend has various food allergies. Steph sorted us right out and putting my girlfriend at ease, who finds it hard to eat out and at most restaurants. Steph got us a custom order and advised that pizza express is a “nut free” environment. This is good information to know. We left a tip on the card machine, I hope that all of that goes to her she deserves it

Enjoyed the pizzas from there as usual. The Duo Romana was particularly good and the staff were very accommodating to my diary intolerance Thanks again Pizza express Reading !

Great pizzas over the years however, last few times I’ve been the pizza arrived burnt, chicken wings aren’t kosher anymore and new layout wasn’t necessary as the booths gave it a cool old school vibe. Still a decent place tho
