Papa John's Pizza in Reading

Started using Uber to deliver pizza and Uber don't seem to get the notes, are unable to ring you, text you from weird and different each message +45 numbers and can't find doors

the delivery was almost an hour late and pizza was cold. not acceptable for the price they charge

Took an hour and half to deliver a pizza 10mins away then came stone cold. Manager said he would send me a email for a refund and didn’t bother sending it. Terrible service.

I paid £20.99 for the smallest pizza ever I’m not happy about this.

I gave 30 pounds, I asked if he could bring it, he said okay, then I ordered it, it didn't arrive, then I called customer service and they hung up on me, saying they didn't know how to cancel the order. I wouldn't recommend it, I mean it's a scam.

I paid for a 10-inch pizza with 6 slices. I paid £33 for the pizza, which I found to be poorly made and not tasty at all. It seemed like the pizza was made on top of bread instead of pizza dough. When I called the shop to complain, the person who answered the phone could not speak English at all. This experience has left me feeling like I have been scammed.

I recently ordered a pizza from this store, and unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the quality. The pizza base was extremely hard to chew, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. I hope the store can address this issue to improve the service for future customers

Feel like if you order online you get a better experience. I ordered online one week then the next I decided to order collection over the phone. I believe the store deliver better quality via online as they're aware you get feedback emails, if you're collecting in store they know you won't, therefore you get a worse pizza. I'll order again online but never collect in store again. No accountability therefore no effort.

Usually come in to collect and everything is great this time we decided to order for delivery, the pizza was kind of stale, not a lot of pepperoni seems like they have gone kind of cheap... wich is a shame as this is our favourite pizza place..

I always used to get pizza from here before, until I had randomly gotten lactose intolerance. Very good pizza, even today, but I wish they had lactose free mozzarella instead of the vegan "cheese", because it tastes really weird. I would definitely eat more pizza if that was a choice.

Great place to pop in and get Pizza at a great price for the entire family. After an afternoon stroll with my 2 year old decided to pop in and try some Papa John's pizza. Placed my order and watched from the waiting area while our pizza was being made. My daughter found the entire process quite fascinating. Ordered a large pizza as it was myself and two other friends. We received our order in no time at all, so was quite pleased. The pizza was some of the best I have had in a long time, the crust was lite and just what I like on my pizza. My friend who doesn't like eating out had 3 slices , it was that good. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The shop front/ waiting area needs some TLC to match the quality of food and service.

The pizza was great. The taste was really good.

The online experience was very good, very easy to order. The tracker showed the order was processed and pizzas cooked within 5-10 minutes of the order being placed. The tracker then showed the order then sat waiting for delivery for 16 minutes. The order then showed as being in delivery for a further 20 minutes (the shop is 5 minutes drive from our house). The tracker then showed the order as being delivered, although it hadn't. After 5 minutes we called the restaurant and asked where our food was, thinking it may have been delivered to the wrong address. The restaurant didn't know and the order did arrive another 1 minute later so the tracker showed the food delivered around 6 minutes before it actually was. So the pizza was received 42 minutes after it was cooked. The order should have come with a drink. I asked the driver if he had it and he replied "No one gave me a drink to deliver" and said "don't worry you will receive a refund", which wasn't particular helpful. I have yet to receive any refund. If I had taken something from your shop without paying I would rightly be arrested for stealing. But not being supplied with something you paid for and not receiving a refund is somehow acceptable. Where is my consumer protection?

Never have anything in stock (deserts and dips mostly),inconsistent in terms of quality and will forget something on your order 2 out of 3 times.

The food is just the best, cant beat it and they have some really good deals.

Today I had the worst experience of customer service ever! I ordered food today with the drink, I received the food but no drink, as the driver forget to bring it. He said he’ll be back in a few minutes. The shop is not far from my house. Half an hour later no one come, so I have phoned the store to check. The manager answered me, and I felt sorry for the company to employ such an in experienced manager. He refused to give me his name, with an aggressive response.Personally, I think this prives zero experience in dealing with the clients. I will never order again from there and I’ll be talking about it every single time. I was just really upset and the manager’s behaviour made me even more upset and angry.

Recently it's often had overcooked garlic bread and cooked but flabby n pale chicken wings. Also when I have paid for extra pineapple and ham it's not arrived with extra other than once.

I’m still waiting for it I will never order from there ever again

Ordered pizza and it wasn't delivered. Papa johns took money for transaction. Emailed and called several times , no response. If the store is closed the website shouldn't take your money!!

If possible, I would give 0 ratings. Sub-standard pizza. Cream sauce tasted like vomit. Pizza was just dough with sprinkling of vegetables. No taste whatsoever. Avoid.

Got a ticket 🎫 for parking up to 30 mins when machine was broke ...Papa John's staff did nothing to help in the process on this. be warned when parking there and service after

These guys are legends. We ordered for collection instead of delivery and even though we were out of their delivery area and they had no drivers one of the other staff dropped it off for us and they even remade the pizzas.

This outlet is set up primerily as a collectiin or delivery stote, as it has only one small table has. The service is quick. And is situated on the outskirts of West avillage near Teco aextra on Portman Road

Sent to the wrong address, we were blamed for it, rudw staff, and underwhelming when finally delivered. Ordered the new Papadias and a pizza. We got the notification to say it had been delivered, but it had not. We waited a while in case it was an automated notification and my wife phoned up. We were told by the extremely rude staff member that someone had called up and changed the delivery address. We told them we never called and their response was that someone had called up, and then they had sent it to the new address. The manager then hung up on me when I was on the phone with him trying to figure out what had happened. After finally getting the order (delivered by the incorrect recipient mind you, thw shop had mixed up a load of orders and sent out order to someone else, so this family got two Papa Johns deliveries) the garlic source is awful and the papadias was awfully underwhelming. Not going back to Papa Johns again any time soon, especially after the rude manager at the Oxford Road Reading branch. Awful. If I could give 0* I would

So we ordered pizzas tonight for our daughters sleepover ,,,, and only after phoning , well over an hour after ordering to be told not even in the oven yet !!!! If they had said there was a long wait we would have ordered elsewhere ,,, it's now almost 2.hours since ordering and still no pizza,,, def not great customer service

Always good, hot pizza! Their vegan offering has always been good, as well as their regular options. The delivery drivers are so nice and they always have great deals on their websites. Wouldn’t use any other pizza place.
