Slow service. Must be short-staffed. Moved tables as got dripped on from leak/condensation and the same happened on the 2nd table. Had a drip land on my last mouthful. It was freezing. So cold that I had to put my coat over my legs. The food was very tasty but overall it was not a good experience.

I tried the new Vegan Buddha bowl. Tom was our waiter who was very patient whilst we were choosing. He was also friendly and helpful. The Buddha bowl was delicious and I enjoyed it with a free side order which was a reward.

Good service, food was delivered to the table in one go. Staff were mainly attentive (could have done with another jug of water when empty) but generally good.

I meet a friend there regularly. I’m coeliac and love the gluten-free garlic dough balls and the gluten-free American pizza. We love the atmosphere there and the staff are great.

Had the new summer menu today and the Buddha bowl was excellent. Really enjoyed it and all the food we had was great, Theo delivered fab service ! Best visit to knutsford pizza express in ages, it’s always been a bit of a safe ‘go-to’ and staff are always friendly but today we felt really looked after

We had to wait while a pizza was made as order was taken incorrectly. However service was good and when our son changed his mind, the waitress managed to accommodate the change really well at no further cost.

I love this restaurant and go all of the time with both family and friends. The food is always great and the service efficient and friendly.

We went here for my Sons 7th birthday party, where the children get to make their own pizzas! The staff were so good with the children and each and every one of them LOVED IT!! We will be doing the same next birthday!!!!

Visited PE in Knutsford earlier today. The pizza we had were average certainly not as good as dominoes pizza or even our local independent pizza place but the thing that really ruined it for us was the rude waiter behind the bar who clearly has little to no people skills. Won’t be going back to that branch of pizza express again.

Came here Friday 22nd March for a family meal before a wedding in Knutsford on the Saturday. The food was fantastic and well made, the children loved the pizza and we all enjoyed it. We visit Pizza Express restaurant a lot and this is one of the best we have been to. But... when there my granddaughter age 5 became unwell and unfortunately was sick outside the toilet, well our waitress a young girl went above and beyond in cleaning this up and checking we where ok, we offered to clean up ourselves but she would not allow us to do this. The waitress could only have been about 20 but her professionalism and they way she dealt with this was amazing, l only wish we had got her name to inform the manager of how great she was. The also boxed up her food so she was able to take it home.

I arrived at Pizza Express Knutsford and was made very welcome even though it was a little late on Friday evening 26/01 The young lady (the duty Manager) I think she was called Kenzie ? (So sorry if incorrect) served me and she was very polite and friendly. The Pizza arrived in no time and it was super tasty. My experience at this restaurant was such that I will definitely be going back with my family to dine there again. Thanks so much for a really nice experience. 😊

Nice food, really good service.

Called to restaurant to get a pizza and redeem some vouchers. First time using a Pizza Express for a while. Parking near to Knutsford business was a bit limited but we figured it out. Sat nav led us to a competitors restaurant which made me chuckle. Saturday evening and the place was packed. Thankfully they have a sharp eyed manager was saw were waiting and took our order. We ordered tea and the staff refreshed our cups when asked for a refill. No extra charge. I ordered La Cubana Romano pizza. You don't need sides with that. Very tasty and colourful, with spicy pulled pork. Clean restaurant and toilets. Very hard working cooks and floor staff. Reasonable wait for food considering how busy they were. Enjoyed the experience and would visit again.

Lovely greeting when our party of 6 arrived. We had three adults and three grown up children. We were shown to our reserved table. Given our menus. Ordered our drinks and food. Everything was delicious and the staff could not do enough for you although they were all very busy. The manageress on duty was so lovely. Thankyou for a lovely evening out. Over priced. Not worth the money. It's a case of "spot" the mushrooms/ham. Lucky if you get 5 slivers of mushrooms or ham on your pizza.

Just been into Pizza Express Knutsford with a group of 60 kids and adults for an end of term celebration. The team who looked after us - led by Kenzi and Ewa were amazing. They did a wonderful job of getting us all fed with tasty pizza and puds. Thanks all.

Great food and excellent customer service

Always great food and service at Knutsford, however, I wanted to write a review specifically to pass on my thanks to the lovely server and smiley chef who rushed over to help when I knocked a glass off the table tonight whilst getting my toddler ready to leave. Eating out with a little one can be stressful at the best of times so thank you for being so kind to us, and especially my little girl! I really hope these comments can be passed on to the staff 😊

Lovely restaurant with the most polite and welcoming staff. We popped in on the off chance on a Friday evening. 10/11/23. We’d come away for the weekend. We were offered a table by a really lovely lady. She asked if we had any allergies or dietary requirements. We were promptly served with kindness and friendliness. The pizzas we ordered were absolutely delicious. So fresh and full of flavour. The whole place had such a wonderful atmosphere. Really felt like we were welcome and looked after. What a treat to visit Knutsford for the weekend. Thank you Pizza Express for having us.

Lovely relaxing and very enjoyable meal. We were served by Claire who was so lovely and kind and super friendly and helpful, hopefully management see this and give her a pat on the back as she was fab! Lovely relaxing ambiance, everywhere clean and tidy, food very nice and good value, plus lots of gluten free options for those who can’t eat gluten/wheat, and very kid friendly too, what’s not to like!! Service started badly, then got progressively worse. Table servers were high school kids with no training, supervision was slightly older and a leader in “attitude”. Supervisor complained we hadn’t booked for 5: the place was empty. Supervisor brought drinks and spilled one: no apology or fresh drink. Attracting the attention of servers was just the right side of impossible, meaning we did actually get fed. The food was good. The service was world-beatingly bad

Highly recommend pizza Express. Me and my husband were very impressed, we were greeted by a lovely waitress called Kenzie who informed us they were very short of staff and she was the only person on at the time. Having said that the service we had was exceptional, very friendly, and prompt. The pizza was delicious. Need I say anymore?

Amazing! Best pizza I ever had! Great service. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere.

We came for dinner after a family day out. The restaurant was quiet as it was early evening. We were seated promptly and the service was excellent. Kenzie in the kitchen and Tilly, our waitress, made it a really magical dinner for our two young children. They let the kids watch the food being made, chatted to them and even let them help make their own desserts. Thanks for a really lovely evening.

Very quiet when we went in,despite it being a Friday in the school holidays

Went with a few friends, pizza was brilliant quality along with the starters. The service was exceptional and the waitress Hannah did an excellent job looking after us. Lots of families in there a d the staff did a great job with everyone there, including keeping the little kids entertained. Very pleased with everything and we will be coming back!

Walked in to all the staff casually chatting behind the bar.. following an awkward welcome once they eventually decided it might be good to offer us a table. We went into the very, very quiet restaurant and sat at our table. With the music blasting at full volume the kind of repetitive cheese you'd only expect from their pizzas a member of the waiting team finally came to take our order. We ordered everything to share, when it arrived, we thought it would be logical that we'd get 2 plates but no. The pizza itself was paper thin, the chips were fairly bland and the staff were so unattentive it might have been easier for me to walk over to the kitchen and cook dinner myself. Wouldn't come back, our worst Pizza Express experience in the UK.

Quaint little shop front location in the nice little village of knutsford. Opens up inside to a wider restaurant inside terrace area. Service some of the best I've ever had at a chain line this, actually fed back to the manager on the night how well her team were coordinated together. Food nice, arrived quickly and kids happy which is always good!

The food was ice cold and the pizza had no tomato. It had loads of basil and pepper. The service was horrendous and took 20 minutes to serve drinks. We were there for 2 hours waiting for food and then we were asked to leave for the next booking. The waiter was chewing gum and was very rude.

We celebrated our 9 year old daughter’s birthday here this evening and it was great. We had 13 girls at the party, aged from 8 to 11, a recipe for disaster, but the staff at Pizza Express pulled it off perfectly. Everything, from pre ordering the food for the girls to cutting the cake, was handled very smoothly. Our waitress was Emily and she was great, very attentive, efficient and friendly. Kenzi, who had helped with the arrangements in advance, was on duty and, in conjunction with Emily, made sure everything was enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for them. My daughter and her friends had a great time. I haven’t been to Pizza Express before, but from tonight’s experience I would definitely go again.

I have visited this branch of Pizza Express many times during the last few years and have be very pleased with the quality of food and service, however my last (and final) visit drew negatives against both the food and the attitude of the manager. The pizza when it arrived was lukewarm having been served on a cold plate. I complained and whilst they did offer to warm it up, which I rejected as I believe that all food should be checked and served as soon as it is cooked, not be warmed up and therefore not fresh. The attitude of the manager when I requested 50% reduction in the bill due to my uneaten pizza was poor. She used H&S as an excuse for cold plates saying it was policy not to serve hot food on hot plates.. My previous visits to this branch always had hot food served on warm plates. A 35% reduction was grudgingly offered following an argumentative attitude from the manager. I shall never return here and will reconsider whether to use Pizza Express branches again if company policy condones this poor quality food and management attitude.

It was all going well until our food arrived. My Leggera Pomodoro was basically a dry ring of bland pizza with 3 small tomatoes cut in half and a pile of rocket leaves. Nothing like the photo or description, with no basil or mozzarella. I didn’t want to wait for a replacement pizza, as it’s difficult with an active toddler, so was told the manager would come over. We waited, but no one came over so eventually asked for the bill. After saying we weren’t happy to pay for the Leggera (most of it was uneaten), the manager appeared. She had been doing an interview with another colleague and said they had been too busy to come over. We were a bit taken aback. Furthermore, her colleague who had been doing the interview, gave my husband and daughter an odd look and frosty appearance when they walked past. I thought Pizza Express was child friendly, so really wouldn’t expect this. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We felt so offended by the managers attitude that interviews are more important than customers, but it didn’t seem to resonate. There was no revised food bill and we could not wait any longer. Such a shame as the rest of the service and welcome were great.

Lovely place, looks small from the outside but it is much bigger inside. Staff were very friendly, pizza’s are always amazing, My dough balls were a bit overcooked and didn’t look like the ‘heart dough balls’ from the picture so I had a few of my boyfriends (he had the normal dough balls) and they were really nice. Could do with some more options of bottled ciders (like Rekorderlig or Old Mout) as there wasn’t much choice, besides them small things the overall experience was very good and I will definitely return soon 😊

What a lovely place. We only popped in for a drink but ended up sharing a few starters. Everything was spot on. The food was good,the staff were all friendly and very helpful, Charlotte the Manageress was on the ball,keeping a close watch on everything that was going on. Not local for us but we will definitely be back when we are in the Knutsford area. A lovely place,definitely would recommend.

Always a trust worthy place to take the kids for pizzas. The place could do with a lifting though as it starts to look dated a bit. But food is good but a tad expensive.

Lovely restaurant with a terrific atmosphere and great food. I always enjoy a good pizza express and this place only strengthens this belief. The staff are always friendly and approachable and the food is always made well. It’s decorated very well and is always nice inside with lovely ambience. I always enjoy eating here and this restaurant is a go to for me and I always love eating here. Also, the menu options are brilliant at any pizza express and I would personally highly recommend the American pizza with black olives as an extra. Really nice balance of flavour. But at the end of the day, hard to go wrong with any of the pizzas here. And we can’t forget about the dough balls. They are absolutely unbeatable. Would recommend to anyone.

Nothing against this restaurant, but the prices as a whole chain are truly extortionate at the moment. I completely understand that prices have risen due to current climate, but nearly £9 for some bang average Calamari, no ta.

We ate here last night for my little girls 5th birthday and the service was excellent. The waitress was so lovely and attentive, she noticed that my daughter had a birthday badge on and when she brought her dessert she had lit a candle and sang happy birthday to her. It was such a lovely touch that we didn't have to ask for and my daughter was so happy. Thank you - amazing service that goes a long way.

We went in around lunchtime and were seen to immediately and shown to our table by a very efficient friendly young lady. The service was swift but not rushed, the food was cooked to perfection and all at a very reasonable cost.

We ate here on a Saturday evening. We ate 3 main courses and a side, plus drinks, The two pizzas were excellent as was the chicken pasta dish. We were served by three waiting staff all of which were very friendly. The service was prompt and efficient for both food and drinks. We were sat near to the servery and could see that as soon as our food was served on to the plates by the chef, they were brought straight to our table, hence the meals were hot and fresh.

Great service and great food. I have rhe burnt ends pizza which was amazing, tasted great and good portion size. Only negative was that they said they were in the process of changing yhe menu so didn't have a lot of the items avaliable one of which a member of my table specifically wanted.

Brilliant meal at Pizza Express for a big group of 9 of us this evening. Sadie was amazing and not phased at all by all our special requests! With a nut allergy in our group I've not been anywhere else that has ever been so reassuring and letting us see the allergy advice on all items on the menu. Highly recommend and thanks very much

Called in on Friday afternoon 2 adults 3 children. The lady that greater up was pleasant and showed up to our table and put the menu down before we actually sat down. When we ordered and the menu was taken away noticed that the table was really dirty still had chocolate sauce on it and sauce off the pizza from previous guests. Asked for it to be cleaned and then noticed the dirty water glasses very shocked that the lady just changed them with the table next to us and they stayed there. Food was very nice but this had left us not really enjoying as we where still thinking about how dirty the place was

They have GF options but was nothing special. The staff was very gentle. The pizza was not, was very poor on toppings, was like bread with tomato sauce. Really disappointing.

The staff are very rude...well our server was! We arrived on a wednesday at 5pm, the restaurant wasnt busy and we had booked a table but immediately were made to feel unwelcome and like we were an inconvenience. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day but after reading the reviews i've released that wasnt the case and its obviously a regular occurance. Our food was pretty much flung across the table, there was plenty of eye rolls and sighing as if everything was an inconvenience for her and the receipt was tossed to us at the end of the meal. The only 2 stars i can give is for the food and the male member of staff who brought us our starters...unfortunately the rest of the meal was ruined by the bad customer service

We just wanted to have a break from cooking and eating in. We decided to pop to Pizza Express with my wife and daughter for dinner. We traded Tesco points, which is great value for money at 3 times of the point value. The vouchers are only for food and we noticed that drink prices went up a lot since the last time, large glass of wine over £9, more than the cost of a bottle in the shops! The restaurant was quite busy with good atmosphere. It was clean and tidy. The staff were very nice, friendly and efficient. The calamari and spicy pizza balls as starters were really good. I ordered classic sloppy guiseppe but it had too much tomatoe sauce for my taste. I tried the unusual sorbets with olive oil and orange as well, which was quite nice. Overall very good spontaneous pizza night!

Sadie was our waited and she was friendly and helpful. My daughter has a dairy allergy and Sadie was really helpful making sure she had alternatives. Food was good too.

It's Pizza Express, you know what you're getting and that's no bad thing. I've tried "independent" pizzerias but they can be hit and miss whereas Pizza Express are consistently good. This one is well located, the staff were pleasant and attentive. If in Knutsford again and I wanted to play it safe, I'd come here again.

Call in for lunch been a few times lately and always been great can’t say the same for today. Waited 35 minutes for two pizzas same as we always have we couldn’t eat them under cooked the waitress said she would pass it on to the manager but they only had one chef in and the manager was helping him. She could see we handing eaten them yet still charges us £44 for the pleasure of not not eating. Also said fill the survey in on the bull we welcome your feed back well this is my feed back and we won’t be back again. Shocking customer service shocking pizza

I know PizzaExpress had financial problems and you can really see it in the customer experience, it seems like this branch had no investment for a couple of years. The chairs were in pretty bad shape, surfaces scratched, and it seemed they had put the...

Great attentive service. Dough balls were soft, delicious and NOT burned in any way. Pizzas were fantastic and again, not burned around the crust, with a firm but soft base and delicious generous toppings too. The choc fudge cake was a little firm and I've had it softer with a minister sponge, but overall, it was a great experience at Knutsford. Good COVID sanitised around the restaurant and staff were keeping everything clean and wearing masks. A safe environment.

Haven't been to pizza express in nearly two years but definitely wasn't disappointed. Pizza was as tasty as ever and really nice, friendly staff.
