Atmosphere is a lie cos barely anyone in BUT it was late. I came in due to an o2 offer for the first time. A lovely young girl served and was really sweet and polite and helpful. Rare to find now. ?manager gave my food and was really nice. Even the “check in” dude a few hours prior was really friendly and nice. The food was GREAT! Special kudos to the young girl as she will get far in life being the way she is. I’ll be back but don’t know when (work all over) but this was such a pleasant experience so thank you all! Also pic doesn’t do it justice. It was mint!

The waitress and shift manager at Wilmslow were both defensive and on the verge of rude when we questioned the quality of our pizza. Surely it is the role of the waiting-on service to be polite and try to help with a customer’s concerns? Sadly we felt unwelcome and that we were the problem !! We have always had good friendly service at other locations but we will not be returning to this branch.

Hi my name is Jacob I wanted to warn you about a horrible dish that tasted like a Sainsbury’s ready meal, which is not a good thing to say considering that it is a 4.2 star restaurant the dish I am talking about is the carbonara it tastes like it was just made by a five year old ,all I could taste was cream and cheese it was horrible by far the worst pasta I had ever had I had a horrendous stomach pain for a week and felt horrible I Would NEVER had it if I knew how disgusting it was. 1 star DO NOT EAT HERE don’t risk it trust me

Just ordered on just eat absolutely shocked at how badly the lasagne was prepared, cold and sloppy and raw I rang to complain and the staff member was being defensive saying it was cooked in a hot oven. I have ordered this many times and the quality of this one was terrible. Please hire better staff Iam so put off ever buying ordering or visiting the restaurant ever again just because of that particular staff member. Zero self awareness zero customer service Just Rude !!!!

Typical high street pizza nothing to shout about

This place is like a canteen. We have to ask for everything three or four times before you get it. I have been too many pizza express establishment. And this one is definitely not my favourite I guess it’s Winslow so they will survive.

Came here for the first time over the weekend as we had a voucher and the manager on duty Dan was amazing! Firstly, hilarious. Secondly, breath of fresh air when it comes to customer service! Great member of staff and would deffo come back again…with more vouchers! :)

I whent to the hale branch and had a bad experience with the manager there who said he couldn't allow us in as I was with my two nephews and two nieces and we had arrived to have desert,,he said because it's a busy time I can't get you a table if your just having dessert as "he will be losing out" I was completely shocked I have been going to this pizza express for fifteen years but I had promised my nieces and nephews I would take them to get your new billionaire sundae so I drove to the Wilmslow branch and pre-booked a table ,upon entering early they seated us immediately,our waiter was fantastic and he was friendly and the sundaes arrived very quickly he was attentive and polite and gave us a great table. The manager was also very polite and warm which is what customers need to feel comfortable.

One of the best restaurants. Lovely staff, attentive & friendly. Prompt service perfect for family meals. Brilliant value if you use the rewards!

Great service and food was delicious

Due to personal circumstances we weren’t able to visit our favourite branch in Wilmslow for a ver long time were we have always been looked after by the fabulous Abbas. Yesterday I went with my in-laws and the service we received from Łukasz was outstanding. I’m sure his life goal was not to work as a waiter (I used to be a waitress and was quite bad, friendly but bad), but his attitude towards his job was faultless. His customer service skills were amazing. Train staff so they can move on, treat them well so they don’t want to leave. Don’t let him leave….ever.

We took our two young boys and their friend out for tea and had a fantastic time. Service was very smooth and friendly. Food was great and had no complaints. Lovely experience.

Too good to go received two boxes dough balls and just to make up a small cheese. Absolutely disgusted by the woman manager if you can call her that. Dough balls that's it. Beware people these people are shady. Probably saving the best to take home themselves. £4.95 no main mean just dough ball a f kin con.

Lucas was brilliant!! He was great with our two kids and brought us little extra touches and helped with the loyalty app! He gave exceptional service that you don't get that often any more! Jamie the Manager was also great!

It was a quiet afternoon so the service was excellent without being "helicopter" and as it was quiet very pleasant. As you can see it the photo I had a very nice fully loaded hot chocolate treat with Dough balls to start, followed by a nice pizza. Altogether, a very pleasing meal.

We were a large school group. Fantastic service from Will and Jamie the manager. Extremely helpful with individual payments. Great food and atmosphere. Would recommend for larger groups. Will book again.

They comment on your review to email the manager to fix the issue then never reply to it. Looks like it's all a stunt to look like their trying to fix their bad reviews. I like pizza express however this is very disappointing.

Great atmosphere and fast efficient service.

Party was great and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it! Was a shame as the waitress was rather rude and at one point told me 'I can't do everything, you'll have to ask someone else' and then gave a look of disgust when questioning the bill as they had added additional things on which was definitely wrong. I would definitely recommend a pizza party but feel quite strongly that the staff need to remember to be polite. If it's too much then maybe hire additional staff as we were also helping out as much as possible.

Service was really good. Pizza was exactly as we ordered, hot no complaints at all. Nothing bad to say about this restaurant, staff were helpful, food was exactly what it claimed to be all hot and arrived pretty quickly so a good experience for us.

We had a fantastic meal for a large family get together. There were 16 of us and Evan, our waiter, got the whole order perfectly correct. He was amazing, very swift and efficient taking the order and really friendly too. The food was lovely and everyone was happy with their meal. Overall a really great experience!

Weronika looked after me extremely well tonight. Nothing was too much trouble and really took the time and trouble to be friendly and welcoming. I tend to go on my own these days and I know I will get a nice welcome.

We had a lovely family meal for 15 tonight. We were welcomed by Evan who provided great service throughout the meal. He welcomed our big group and promptly took our order and coped well with the many revisions we made! The whole team delivered our food and drink quickly however Evan was great as he remembered who had ordered each item and placed them next to each person. Visited with my daughter and friend for a birthday treat. Friendly greeting on arrival and seated quickly. Lovely waiter Evan served us. He was very warm and kindly brought my child a birthday candle in her dessert without prompting. Small bill looming as only the 2 small children eating but despite this, unrushed to leave. Best pizza express experience in a long time (have only visited other locations in the past)

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Pizza Express. Our food was perfect, despite the busy time on Friday, but the waiter was very kind and facilitative! Our only small complaint was with the atmosphere of the restaurant. There was excessive noise from large tables with countless young children. This did add to the lively environment that is Pizza Express Wilmslow, but I think other customers, too, would have appreciated a more peaceful meal with no shouting children.

I want to say a huge thank you to the team at Pizza Express Wilmslow. My mum and I came in very late last Wednesday, 27th Sept. We’d had an awful, upsetting day before we arrived. The staff were SO accommodating, even providing us with a super tasty dessert despite the late hour. They were so attentive and didn’t make us feel unwelcome or a hassle at all, even though we were very late in eating! Thank you to the team for making an upsetting day bearable. We are so grateful ❤️❤️❤️.

The staff were friendly and the place felt clean. The reason for my low rating is due to the timing of the food. I was in a party of 8. My starters came out very delayed and cold and other members not receiving theirs until most of us had finished. My pizza seemed to have been forgotten about. i received mine (piping hot - clearly just made) after others had finished there's making me feel rushed. We waited a long time again for our desserts. A few of us had the white chocolate, salted caramel, biscoff pizza. Non of us enjoyed this as the base was very had to cut and chew through, i advise not to get this. When it came time to pay there was no reimbursement offered for the errors/delays made, instead they put a tip on the bill already. We did not tip and I will not be revisiting.

We have been here many times over the years and as much as it’s not my favourite pizza place you generally know it will be ok. Yesterday we visited and it was not good at all. Waited forever to be served and in the end had to ask to order. To be fair, the chicken starter, although very small was tasty and nice and hot but my pizza was just bland. Lacking in tomato base and cheese, parts of it were just tasteless dough. Won’t be coming back in a hurry

We visited after a trip to the lovely Rex cinema in Wilmslow. Sadly not a good ending to the evening. Unfriendly service and the driest pizza I’ve ever had.

APPALING! I placed an order for delivery through the Pizza Express app, and unfortunately, the entire ordeal has left me highly dissatisfied. Firstly, I must highlight the issue of the food arriving cold. I had ordered a variety of items from your menu, totalling £45 pounds. However, upon opening the delivery, it was evident that the food was cold. The pizza was lukewarm and the sides were barely warm. As a result, my family and I were unable to enjoy the meal as we had anticipated, and the experience was far from the high standards we associate with Pizza Express. Furthermore, when the delivery person arrived, he informed me that he had been waiting for almost an hour before receiving the order to deliver. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, such as heavy traffic or a high volume of orders, it is unacceptable that the food was not delivered promptly. Not only did this further contribute to the food being cold, but it also reflects poorly on the efficiency and organization of your delivery service.

The place seemed to be chaotic! Although the person who served us was really lovely and smiley,we waited 40 + minutes for our pizzas..others ( who'd arrived after us ) were served before us ,because my pizza ' burnt' and had to be made again..... Our son's was a thin base pizza ,but it was almost like an omelette covered with heavy tomato sauce causing it to bend and drip. We asked for salad without dressing ,and received salad,with a dressing ! It had been a long tiring day for us ,but we've always enjoyed eating at this particular Pizza Express ,sadly ( because we travel far to get there ) I'm not sure we will for a while now . The young girl who served us was really nice though...but there seemed to be bad planning and disorganisation ....

The kids loved the activities, and the food was very affordable. The gluten-free menu is fantastic and worth the money. It is also in a great location.

We really love it here. With special dietry requirements we can have gluten free dough balls, pizza, pudding and beer :-)! No need to compromise. We always use our app which allows us to save a few pounds too. Highly recommended!

Got to try the new hot honey dough balls recommended by my server Will! He was super friendly and it’s clear he’s popular amongst the locals who were dining in there. Great service and food. Oh and that new honeycomb slice was delicious!

Restaurant wasn't that full yet we were out on a cramped table next to another table with 4 very young and loud kids. Service wasn't swift bearing in mind how quite they were.

Walked into pizza express without a booking for a table for 4. Myself, my husband and my two little ones. We were greeted with a smile by one of the managers I believe and sat us down in one of the booths (which the kids were happy about!) Lilly (I believe her name was) was absolutely exceptional. She looked after our family perfectly and I have to say, probably one of the best waitresses I’ve ever experienced!! Saying she was absolutely lovely would be an understatement. She approached us with a great big smile and an amazing attitude. She frequently checked in and made sure everything was okay for us and was very attentive when needed. She looked after my children perfectly and made their day. Lilly was very talkative and kind, really showing an interest. The food was amazing, fast service and well looked after all throughout. Drinks and desserts served quickly, and Lilly really took great care in making sure the kiddies enjoyed their food and ice creams. The only slight criticism would be the noise! Children running around everywhere screaming but this has absolutely nothing to do with the perfect service we received. I would recommend every time without a doubt! Thanks team, and especially thanks Lilly!!

Went to pizza express with some friends for one of their birthdays last weekend. Lily served us and was excellent, she was so kind and helpful, everything was perfect and the food tasted amazing.

The team at Wilmslow are amazing, everyone is warm and friendly, we regularly visit twice a week. Abas is a gem, always happy and a pleasure to talk to. Food has never let us down. Best PE I know.

What can I say…. Other than Wilmslow Pizza Express a huge THANK YOU for a fab service! I held my daughters 9th birthday party here and the staff (Dan and Orlagh) were absolutely phenomenal! They went above and beyond to keep the girls happy and even went out to get some sweetcorn on request of the children to put on their pizzas! They kept them entertained for 2.5 hours and I didn’t need to lift a finger! Well organised and great communication! I was told to just rock up with a cake which I did and they did the rest! Can’t thank you both enough and of course the chef on shift who helped create the most delicious pizzas with the children! A very happy 9 year old and a group of friends!

Walked in to ask for a table, it was busy so expected to be told how long the wait was as no-one else was waiting. Unfortunately instead we were approached by a waiter who held his hands up and said it would be a long time with a go away look on his face. We felt very uncomfortable and left. A shame as we are regular visitors to pizza express.

My lasagna was burnt. My husband’s pizza was undercooked cooked. Our daughters meal was average. We picked at our two mains and when asked by the server (who was very polite and trying to help) if everything was okay, I explained it wasn’t. The manager was aware and simply avoided us. Although we paid the bill we should not have been charged for the two meals we had brought to their attention. The manager did not deal with the situation at all. Needless to say we skipped desert and went elsewhere. Another table had complained about their food which didn’t surprise us given the poor standard. If I could give no stars I would.

Went in for my child’s 6th birthday party. Orlagh was brilliant and went above and beyond to make it a brilliant visit!

One of the managers turned a group of 5 away at the door on New Year’s Eve even though we had a reservation all because my friend didn’t return his apron after working there for 6 months, he was VERY rude to us and clearly had little man syndrome, he could’ve made at least £100 from us but turned us away, never going here again

Brilliant service, so tidy . So fast, so friendly. Everyone was lovely and helpful, they recommend fishes and drinks & made jokes! ABBAS and DAN and MEG where phenomenal in our visiting checking up on us and recommendations and just general chat and company as well as helping us around the area. The food was cooked to perfection and served with a smile. It was refreshing and I had the most amazing time. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, it’s great for Xmas dos or kids parties or families or anyone!

We booked our little girls 7th birthday party here. It was amazing, Dan was fantastic with the children was friendly, fun, kind and kept them all engaged and on task. Would highly recommend and can’t thank Dan and his team enough for making our little girl feel so special. She wants to have her 8th birthday party here - we have already had the request.

We booked Pizza Express for our daughters birthday party and arranged for it to be a "Pizza making" party. Well, all I can say is that Dan and his team were absolutely fantastic! This is the first time I have been to a pizza making party, but I was very impressed at how it kept the children entertained and also how well it was organised. The staff were just great, they kept everyone entertained, and busy, but more importantly, they had everything under control. Dan, the manager, was fully hands on with all aspects of the party, and as mentioned above, they were all really enthusiastic and just brilliant. I am more than happy to do something like this again and would thoroughly recommend it for anyone thinking about it.

We came this evening for a family meal and unfortunately I had to leave early with my son. Our waiter, Abbas was fantastic and so caring and thoughtful towards us. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to have my meal, so he put it into a box and brought it outside to me when I was leaving so that I could take it home. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience was made better by Abbas. Thanks again :-)

Great pizza and service! The décor could do with a spruce up though

Had a very pleasant meal on a Sunday evening for four of us. Service was courteous and friendly, and the starters and mains appeared quickly. Excellent deep fried squid rings, warm and tasty doughballs and a decent pizzas and Nicoise salad. The American classic is only £10.95, which is good going these days. We used some Tesco vouchers to reduce the cost of the food (drink is not covered by the vouchers). The waiter was very polite and efficient in taking the voucher details and calculating our bill.

We dine here quite regularly as a family. On this occasion we were again served by Will who is an excellent waiter, very friendly, efficient and professional. The food was very good as usual, only slight niggle was that the prawn starter was a little too spicy for my palate this time! The only reason for giving 4 starts rather than 5 was that the young woman who greeted us at the door didn't seem in a great mood however as she wasn't serving us this didn't have a huge impact.

We went to Pizza Express in Wilmslow for a meal with friends. There were six of us and we arrived at 7pm. There was a very large children’s party taking place. That is fine. - it’s a child and family friendly restaurant. However the shrieking and shouting and general noise level emanating from this group (I would guess about 20) was completely unacceptable and anti-social. We were unable to have a conversation even though there were only six of us. The noise precluded ANY conversation. It was even difficult to order. Two of our meals were cold (both lasagne) and the staff handled this very professionally and replaced the meals. This meant we had to stay even longer because of the delay in the replacement meals arriving, when all we wanted to do was to get out of Pizza Express as quickly as possible. It was a dreadful experience and I left with a headache and sore throat from trying (unsuccessfully) to chat with my fellow diners.

We went last night (6th August) at 7pm to dine with friends. It was horrendous. There was a large children’s party taking place and the children were allowed to shriek and scream at the top of their voices. We were unable to have a conversation on our table of six and the ambiance was consequently dreadful. Two of the meals (both lasagne) were cold and had to be sent back. (This was done without fuss and very pleasantly by the staff but it meant we had to suffer the noise for longer whilst the replacements came. We left as quickly as we could after we had eaten). There’s a difference between a restaurant being family/child friendly and customers’ behaviour spoiling everyone else’s dining experience. It was unacceptable.

Really looked forward to our ‘date night’ cinema at The Rex followed by Pizza at what used to be such a fantastic restaurant, at Pizza Express... Not anymore 😔 Staff were lovely and couldn't fault them but the place looks really tired and dated and the (what I later discovered) proving bags looked AWFUL😳 I realised, when I asked for the Pandana, that all they do in the kitchen is slop a load of pre-prepared filling on the pizzas and bake🤷 as they’d RUN OUT of caramelised onion😳😳😳! The menu was soooooo reduced from our previous visits, there wasn’t anything I fancied. The waitress said other people had had the Padana and seemed to enjoy it... so I ordered it... It wasn't nice without the camaralised onion as it was quite a strong goat’s cheese, so I dudn’t enjoy it. My husband really enjoyed his pizza, but thought the price of the tiny tins of IPA was ridiculously expensive 😳 Sadly, I don't think we'll be coming again😔
