Pizza Express in Windsor and Maidenhead

Initially told our booked table had been over booked and none available, was told that they could make a table available for half an hour after our original booking if we were willing to wait. Once sat service was slow despite the restaurant becoming quieter. Food however was good Initially given the wrong bill at payment

Had a wonderful meal here. Food was delicious, arrived quickly and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Really went out of their way to make it a lovely evening for us.

Staff, food and setting were excellent. We were 4 adults and 3 children , everyone was well looked after and found something they liked on the menu. All the staff were attentive and efficient but also friendly. Well done.

The only good pizza , the authentic taste ....the only thing that made go there was pizza calabrese. Now they took it off the menu. I guess I won't steep in again soon . The worse decision could ever take. Disappointed.

Terrible service. Stood at the door waiting to be seated in a half empty restaurant for over 5 minutes. Then I had to just walk in and sit myself down, which forced one of the staff to seat the rest of my party. Then we sat ignored for the next 10 minutes. Eventually we got up and walked out, again completely ignored. Went to Storia over the road and had amazing service and better food for the same money.

Food was decent, delivery wasn’t too late

The restaurant left the driver waiting 35 minutes before they could deliver it to us. The restaurant hadn't even started the order when the driver had arrived.

I was planning on having dinner with my family. I walked Upto the door and found a tramp sitting in with his bags and with pee stains all over his pants and 3 or 4 duffle bags the guy looked scruffy with a mask and beard growing out of it . Eating from a bowl. How disgusting to think we would be eating from these bowls really put me off from going there. I guess large company so staff are not owners so really doesn’t bother them as they have not invested £100.000 Shame.

Missing items and the pizza was burnt.

Ate at lunchtime during the School holidays with family. Just one server and one chef and it was busy but the service was great. Pizza's were really good and we had the best table in the curved window. Would definitely return

The food was ordered for 19.15 Courier handed it over at 19 .20 The food was stone cold both the pizza and the arancini. On the receipt it said the pizza was ready at 19.09 Why was it so cold?

Pizza express is a nice place to hang out with family or friends. All their recipes have great taste. Really loved it.

Fast Friendly service, best pizza express I have been to in a long while. Food was excellent and tasted amazing. Wish more were like this.

Not really sure they read the orders here. Ordered takeaway from the Maidenhead location a couple of times, second time only because we forgot how poor this place did the first time. Portion sizes are tiny, they forgot two integral parts of the order, it took 1hr 40mins to get here and the pizza, the only element they got right, was stone cold when it arrived. It’s also probably the worst pizza you can get round this way as well as the most expensive. Salad for £20? Get stuffed. Don’t rate at all. Avoid.

The manager was very rude, patronising and had no clear idea of the menu. The waiter was very polite and even apologised for his rude manager.

Horrible Experience!!! My friends and I visited Pizza Express Maidenhead recently. Unfortunately, our experience was not the best. We waited over 40 minutes for our food, and when we politely inquired about the delay, a staff member responded in a rude manner. Additionally, we witnessed this same staff member arguing with other customers who wanted to dine in. This created an unpleasant atmosphere for everyone. We hope Pizza Express Maidenhead can address these service issues to ensure a more positive experience for future customers.

Extremely disappointed with service at Pizza Express Maidenhead. On July 11th, 2024, I arrived at your Maidenhead location with a confirmed online booking for two. Upon arrival, a staff member informed us they were short-staffed and there would be a long wait for dine-in service. Despite having a reservation, the staff member initially refused to seat us. We were very much looking forward to dining at Pizza Express, so we politely explained our booking confirmation. Unfortunately, the staff member continued to argue and insisted they were understaffed. This back-and-forth was frustrating and frankly, insulting. Finally, after some discussion, we were grudgingly offered a table. However, the experience left a sour taste in our mouths, and we decided to leave. We hope you can improve communication and ensure customers with reservations receive the service they expect.

Preordered at 11:45 and was given a delivery time of 12:05-12:20… turned up at 1:05…

They took my money but never delivered the food!! Absolute disgrace.

Good pizza but service a bit slow and lots of the desserts had salted caramel sauce.

We love pizza, especially at pizza express. This was one of the best we have been to.

Many adverts of "gluten free", but it is NOT really gluten free, they use the same oven which has normal flour in the oven to prevent them from sticking - if allergic or sensitive to gluten avoid!

Waited an hour from order to delivery, not the problem, pizza arrived over cooked/burnt and base had wholes and was too thin , fell apart , really disappointing, expect better from Pizza Express.

Good pizza express. A little understaffed on the day we visited (seemed to be one front of house and one in the kitchen) so service was a little slow but it was clear the guys were not just standing around and were rushed off their feet. Decent quality pizza none the less.

Ordered a starter that was supposed to be served in/with a tomato sauce, the sauce was missing, disappointing for £7.65, pizza was tasty thankfully.

Worst pizza I’ve ever had.. £21.20 for a supposedly large classic pizza (new) It was basically a Romano not a classic. Not only that but only half the pizza had cheese on it !! Some slices had zero cheese !!! Absolutely appalling and disgusting to pay this money and get no ingredients unless you order extra I suppose .. never again.

3rd time I’ve ordered & my GF pizza turns up with hardly any topping on it. I paid for extra cheese. Toppings don’t even go to the edge of the pizza. It’s dry and looks like £1 pizza from Poundland. And for comparison - my friends pizza next to it. Don’t bother ordering take out - its diabolical

Great tasting food, friendly staff, nice and cosy atmosphere.

Ordered on Deliveroo, it took around an hour to arrive and when it did the food was all sweaty and rubbery so it was like chewing a tyre. Definitely not worth the money. If you want pizza at home stick to the companies that know how to do delivery.

Food arrived late and was cold.

I have ordered Chicken Caesar Salad twice and both times have not had any Gran Milano on it and this time no Caesar Dressing either. Not impressed.

20 mins late, and food was cold. in fact it was so cold it felt like in left the restaurant 'stone cold'.

It was a great experience, we were served well and the interior of the restaurant is decent.

We are a regular customer to Pizza express and been to different areas of this food chain. Pizza express, bridge street, Maidenhead did not impress us that much. I dont know why, felt staff was in a kind of rush. They were polite but seems in rush. We had ordered few vegetarian options, out of which Polenta chips were little burnt and my 6 yrs old daughter couldn't finish it because of burnt smell. Bruschetta originale and garlic bread was yummy, but calzone was not so appealing in taste. Overall experience was okay but I would not want to go there again, as finding parking was difficult.

This place has a few good things going for it but also a few not so great. Let's start with the good such as a lot of space for sitting down with the food bring of a good quality and presented nicely. Unfortunately, the staff from time to time would wait around despite food sitting there ready to be served out. The price is also expensive for what your getting. Another big issue is the lack of parking available which means if your lucky you will find a space close by otherwise you will need to walk a short while to get here.

Yesterday me and my husband went to this restaurant. Food was good but customer service is poor. We ordered dessert and it was taking too much of a time so we asked as usual for our order and young person/servant told us with rudeness that "what you guys expect this is restaurant not a fast food". So be prepared for that tantrums from young servant

Depressing pizza - almost NO cheese and what little was there was congealed or burnt in, cold, way too much tomato paste base (so overpowering taste of tomato) and almost no ham. So disappointed- won’t order again

It was a kids pizza party and we had a very good time. Staff were very kind and friendly. Nice atmosphere with floor to ceiling glass walls lots of natural light and high ceiling meant spacious feel.

This place is CLOSED for renovation

Part of the order was missing - I ordered Garlic bread and didn't receive that. Knowing that the pizzas are being ordered for a company, it would be a good idea to slice the pizzas Overall disappointing from Pizza Express Delivery driver was great

After receiving confirmation of the order, not getting any updates, calling the restaurant when the order was 15mins late only to be told they didn't receive the order to then getting the food arrive hot and fresh 45 mins after it should have arrived

As you would expect from pizza express. Tasty pizzas and at this time of year they have some nice Christmas extras like the espresso martini. Service is also really good.

Beth and Acar were incredible! All the staff! Had a last minute booking of 35 people for a work catering. Needed to be super speedy and efficient and they were just that, as well as incredibly friendly and helpful! .They made it so so easy and were so accommodating. Food came out perfectly timed for their arrival. Could not have asked for more!

Food stone cold - waited ages for a courier driver too

I thought this was a Pizza place but instead I was sent a cremation…for edible Pizza go to Presto next door.

Food from here was disgusting, the pizza and dough balls were cold and chewy and looks like something out of a freezer but we could of got better from the freezer! We spent £30 pound on 2 pizzas where we could of gotten the same result spending £2.50!

A 12th birthday lunch for eldest child and friends, with parents in close proximity! The menu has obviously changed little over the years, and the food is very much “it is what it is”, however the outstanding service today from Lucas made the whole lunch a thoroughly enjoyable, and low-hassle, experience. From the moment we arrived, Lucas was engaging, polite to a fault, and outstanding in his punctilious service. Both children and grown-ups were able to enjoy a leisurely lunch, thanks to his hard work. Lucas is a credit to the Pizza Express business, and I hope that he receives a huge “well done” from his bosses as a result of this review. Oh, and after many years, the American Hot pizza never disappoints!

Paying for extra sauce and getting a teaspoon is not acceptable

Update 23rd Sept 2023 Great pizza and service! We dined with my 2 boys and my wife and were blown away. Beth is amazing, really kind and helpful and went out of her way to make our pizza and experience the best. This restauarant is now so much better with Beth and Alan I think and Akhium (chef). Food quality and perep and taste and flavour is amazing. We will be returning more now that Beth and her team are here! Highly recommended! After a couple of bad experiences with this restaurant Iam pleased to say the food arrived on time(ish) and whilst not hot still warm. The food quality is great the problem previously has always been to do with the delivery process

Loved my food. Went to catch up with a friend over brunch. Waiter was very friendly and quick. My pasta came nice and hot but I found the chicken pieces too big. The only thing which was disappointing is that you cannot use a reward with a student discount. I still found it quite expensive. Chips were ok, wouldn't order them again though

Fantastically quick service from our favourite pizzeria!

I ordered a pizza and appetizer and waited in the lobby of my hotel for the delivery person. They never showed up. Yet I paid for the pizza, the appetizer and the delivery fee. No one showed up. Obviously the driver couldn’t find the place. I even said in the description it was a hotel. It’s a small town. How many hotels are there. I gave the correct address. When I called Pizza Express the Manager did not make it right. She passed the buck. Oh you have to tell tye delivery app people. It’s hard to tell someone something when there is No Phone number. It’s not losing the 25 pounds it’s the principle of it. I order a product did not receive tte product. Pizza Express knows about it and did nothing. She is the worst manager with no backbone I have ever met. I’m an American from the United States visiting and I must say this would NEVER HAPPEN THERE! I didn’t realize how good our customer service is until I gave encountered a couple of things that are not cutting the mustard. Why should I pay for a pizza when the delivery person could not find the place. I gave them the address and tha name of the hotel and restaurant in a small town. It’s beyond ridiculous. Well tte staff at The Bell and Bottle which has an Indian restaurant made me a pizza for no charge. Now that is customer service. The manager at Pizza Express should be fired on the spot. She in my opinion is a coward with no backbone or what it takes to be in the hospitality business. Hiding behind the delivery people. You got paid Pizza Express your delivery service got paid and I’m sure ate my pizza. I’m very disappointed. I expected more over here. Tammy Green

I ate here solo recently, for a grey haired older woman this is not always easy to do, what a lovely experience l had. Taken to a cosy corner with a view across the restaurant where l could people watch and attended to by staff as if l was family. Great team. Good standard of food. Wish l was local.
