Lovely dinner before attending event at Utilita Arena. Great food and great service, especially from Kara. We see the sea bass with curry sauce which was truly delicious. Kara couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful.

Lovely view of the canal, Shana was a great server and the drinks were served fast and cold. I look forward to dropping by again for a lemonade

Well worth the money i was told about this place by one of my employees so i took the trip from worcester, where i live, it had a classy yet old school stmosphere which straight away i though was great, this is me so now me and the gang will give it the once a month trip when in brum, thank you to all the staff and the friendly young lady who served our table haley, thanks guys see you soon!!

The waiting and service team worked incredibly hard . efficiently and were friendly and helpful especially Shaniq. I have worked with the service industry for many years and this team were at the top of their game. The food was fine tasty and as described but nachos are pretty basic as a meal so a 4 . A lively fun place probably more suited to youngsters than retirees but we were made welcome.

Kara our waitress for bottomless brunch was faultless. Always ensured we had everything we needed and also easily adapted the order for food intolerance. Nothing was too much of an ask even after our 2 hours were over.

Not the best experience this evening. We booked in for a bottomless brunch, £36 per person - food was mediocre, meat was of poor quality, allergies weren't sufficiently catered for, (any) customer service was lacking and I was only offered two drinks in a two hour sitting. We all agreed that it wasn't a good experience (I'm glad I didn't order the chicken strips as they were apparently like dry chicken rocks) - extortionate (for what it was) and definitely not worth £36pp.

While visiting Birmingham, I stopped in to the Pitcher & Piano for lunch. Ordered sirloin steak medium rare. The steak was cooked to perfection however, it was the toughest steak I have ever had! Had to saw through it with the knife and each small piece took about five minutes to chew. I had to chew so ardently, and for such a long time, that a heart rate alarm was generated by my Vivosport tracking device - not joking, truly happened. Even walking up all the hills and stairs in Birmingham had not made that happen. When the waitress asked how the steak was and I told her it was the toughest steak I had ever had, she did ask if I would like another. I asked if another would be better and her answer was "you never know"! I needed the nutrition so spent another 30 minutes to chew the rest of the steak. £18 wasted ($25 US dollars) If you decide to eat at the Pitcher & Piano, I would recommend sticking to sandwiches.

Looking for a good place to have our evening meal on a recent short break in Birmingham, we came across the Pitcher & Piano beside the canal on Birmingham City Centre Path just off Broad Street. We had not pre-booked but a very helpful young lady called Sophie W, soon found us a table. The restaurant was very noisy but the noises were simply those of music and a huge number of young students simply having a great evening. The place simply exuded fun, and we saw nothing even remotely untoward throughout the evening. To say the place was buzzing would be the understatement of the year. Despite new crowd, and believe me, the place was full, and in spite of the noise, we were served really quickly and ordered Fish & Chips with Mushy peas and Peroni beer. Our meals were brought to us very quickly indeed and the food was absolutely delicious. We have found in the past that battered fish sometimes has a large amount of batter with a very small fish hidden deep inside. Not here at the Pitcher & Piano. The large portions of crispy batter had equally large, piping hot portions of fish inside. The chips and peas were also fantastic. And it was so nice to have half a lemon to squeeze juice from, instead of the more usual small slice. It is the little things that make a difference. The dessert choices were very appealing but on this occasion, the main course was enough for us and we decided, reluctantly, not to have anything. The food and drink were excellent but I think that the thing that really MADE the evening, was being surrounded by young people just being in love, enjoying themselves and giving the restaurant and amazing atmosphere. Would we eat there again? In a heartbeat, without a shadow of a doubt.

We popped in for a pre concert meal and were impressed with both the food and the service. We weren’t aware of the 18 plus rule so my daughter had to get her ID. Annie did explain the reasons and was very helpful and efficient. An issue with the kitchen meant a delay with one of our meals coming out. The fish and chips was worth the wait and we were kept informed throughout. Would definitely eat again. Not the best place for a quiet dinner as it seems to be a popular watering hole for the after work crowd.

What an amazing night!! Came with friends for a night out, first one since Covid. The music, staff and atmosphere were wicked. Sophie served us, we had bottomless brunch. We were served quickly and never left us with empty glasses. I would definitely come back, cant wait 🙌

Anyways been here yesterday with my family and ordered few cocktails and beers and when we ordered food the staff asked us to leave because we were with kids and the staff were so rude and asked us to wait outside “in the rain” with the kids until we finish our drinks, however we had to leave without even having our drinks for what we paid for!!!!!
